I am prepared to pay $320 and will buy singles.  The going rate on ebay is over $450. I sold a bunch of them at $410 and while it started slow, had far more inquiries in the end then boards I had. So yes..... good luck with that. |

Based on your links I wouldn't say $350 is "fair" but it is a reasonable low ball. $300 is just kinda silly. When you add "no singles" to the conditions as if you are doing someone a favor by taking a large number of cards valued at ~$400 (based on your links) at a 33% discount it just becomes silly. Still it is good to see the idiots buying 5970s for $450, $500, $550 have finally run out of money. You buy a 5970 for $550 you just guaranteed you are going to fail as a miner. I need 3 more 5970s for my hashing farm conversion so seeing prices fall below $350 would be nice. Hell everyone should stop buying 5970s (they are hot, noisy, and power hungry) and buy BFL FPGA it is a much better deal (that way prices fall <$300 for me ). If you don't want a FPGA you know you want a 7000 series. I mean 5000 series vs 7000 series? 7000 sounds a better than 5000. Because, when people in this community either offer used 5970's for $450, or the legitimate cheap deals drop off the map and never communicate with me again, $395 shipped looks mighty fine. And 6990's spew heat out both ends of the card, which makes ducting the heat out of my tiny mining room a daunting task. And for the record, I couldn't tell that these cards had ever been used. They clock high, and stay cool relative to some of the speeds/temps seen on here... |
