Tips on gambling? Stay away from it, you can never beat the house. :D

Don't bet, you can't afford, so better stay away from betting/gambling.

1. Gamble for fun not for profit because you will never win in the long run
2. Don't gamble more than you're willing to lose
3. Never forget that no matter what your strategy is the odds will ALWAYS be against you and you will lose (this will help you to not get addicted IMO).

I`d like to add on these notes, since I lost more then I won.

You need to break off on when to quit, if you lose. If you have no self-control then I dont know what to say, but to work on it?

As for strategy, just have a daily quote of hitting it, and being realistic vs playing more = more chances to lose.

Pro tip no.1:
If you need to ask others about tips on gambling, just dont do it.

You can allways try out your luck, just dont risk what u cant loose.

Don't use martingale system

Keep a bankroll and bet small portion for each bet. Don't go all in on each bet or you will bust fast.

Don't even deposit more than you are comfortable losing. It is easy to make bad emotional decisions when gambling.

When you are gambling you are playing a rigged game for money.  The best plan is to not do so.  However, I happen to enjoy it and the nice thing about bitcoin is you can gamble with very small amounts of money so as long as you are disciplined you can't lose more than you can afford.  I think this is a pretty nice feature.

Outside from not wanting to gamble, I think its just better to use it on a miner lol.

Its important that you need btc you can afford to lose like others mentioned.

Get out when you are winning, if ever happens for you to win
Never put more money than you can afford to lose
Never put money you can't afford to lose, after losing the money you can afford to lose.
Don't gamble if you are not sure what you are doing and need to ask for advices in the newbie forum

No one can post all the great tips in a single post, however the best thing you can do is research and studying.

Study different things from other bettors, frequent betting forums, articles, newsgroups, youtube, twitter, etc etc.  Study the sport or thing you are betting on. If you are betting on Basketball then watch as many games as you can, read as many articles as you can, hang around as many fans and people on the inside as you can.  etc etc

Do all this and while doing it EXPECT TO LOSE, do it for fun if you must.  You do all of that, eventually some day years down the road you may be able to make some decent money at betting.  The odds are slim to none though, and even the greatest usually go broke at some point if they don't stop and walk away.

If you have extra BTC and enjoy gambling then go ahead and have fun, but please, please, please do not do so expecting to make any kind of meaningful amount of money, or any amount of money at all.

The house is going to take your money when gambling.

If you want to just get it over with quickly just bet 1 big bet and when you lose you'll be done.

if you want to enjoy/agonize over it then make small best on a low edge game.

Pro tip would be, stay the hell away from dice sites, every heater will be followed by 5 losses.

If you're going to gamble any way you'd better choose a trusted website. Is it proovably fair? Do users of this forum use it as well? Are their comments positive? Good then go ahead with it.

Also, you should set limits to how much you bet. Let's say that you make 1 BTC each month, a reasonable thing to do would be to not use more than 10% of it for gambling. If you lose the whole ammount you set a limit for. Try again next month but with a limit again. Otherwise you're probably going to end up losing everything.

Another thing, get away from the casino while you're still winning. Greed won't get you far when it comes to gambling.

My tips is try to avoid Gambling. You can try in BTC trading or mining which is much secure than Gambling.

Never gamble more than you can lose. Gamble responsibly.

No, trading crypto/fiat is only as dangerous as holding the crypto.  The danger most refer to is missing out on a run if you're in fiat.

The other hidden danger is that the exchange will run away with your money.  But that could happen with a gambling site as well.

I've found whenever I try to get good at a casino game (like blackjack or pai gow) it takes away from the experience of gambling.  It's more fun to know very little and gamble it up, also the house always wins which has been stated.  Best tips would be to do it sparingly and never take with you (or deposit) more than you can afford to lose.  When I used to go to the casino I started leaving my atm card in the car, so it made it less likely I would use it.  Would've left it at home, but I like to have it in case of emergency.

The only real reason you should be gambling is for a form of entertainment. Gambling will always involve some kind of risk and the house will always have an edge.

Set a win target, and quit when you reach it (rather than keep betting and hopes to win more and more)
Set a loss target, and quit when you reach it (rather than deposit more and hope to win your loss back)

There is no house edge on gambling, so the exchange doesn't make the rules in a way you'll certainly lose in the long rung. Its at least theoretically possible trade and win in the long run, and the exchange wouldn't be sad with that because you would keep trading and paying commissions.

I think trading is more like a poker game, but with players with different $ bets, and not being totally a zero sum game.

Though there is no "house edge", there is a trading fee in most exchanges.

Have a system, test it, and ALWAYS take profits. Don't get greedy. When you're ahead, take profits off the table -- if you don't, I assure you, you will come to regret it later. Best of luck. ;)

NEVER even attempt to win on gambling, you can win and some do but in the end itll come crashing back down minus your initial amount... Dont bother.. :-\

Yes, even though you have nothing to lose, what you win will be so low, a few thousand satoshis. You are eventually going to get wiped.

You can get 10000 satoshi from faucet every minute in PD's happy hour. :D

I can speak from experience dont ever do martingale.

But your life itself a gamble.

You can die at anytime eg: hit by a car, cancer, etc.

And last time I checked a dead man cant enjoy their money.
