No, trading crypto/fiat is only as dangerous as holding the crypto.  The danger most refer to is missing out on a run if you're in fiat.

The other hidden danger is that the exchange will run away with your money.  But that could happen with a gambling site as well.

I've found whenever I try to get good at a casino game (like blackjack or pai gow) it takes away from the experience of gambling.  It's more fun to know very little and gamble it up, also the house always wins which has been stated.  Best tips would be to do it sparingly and never take with you (or deposit) more than you can afford to lose.  When I used to go to the casino I started leaving my atm card in the car, so it made it less likely I would use it.  Would've left it at home, but I like to have it in case of emergency.

Never gamble more than you can lose. Gamble responsibly.

The only real reason you should be gambling is for a form of entertainment. Gambling will always involve some kind of risk and the house will always have an edge.

Set a win target, and quit when you reach it (rather than keep betting and hopes to win more and more)
Set a loss target, and quit when you reach it (rather than deposit more and hope to win your loss back)

There is no house edge on gambling, so the exchange doesn't make the rules in a way you'll certainly lose in the long rung. Its at least theoretically possible trade and win in the long run, and the exchange wouldn't be sad with that because you would keep trading and paying commissions.

I think trading is more like a poker game, but with players with different $ bets, and not being totally a zero sum game.

You mean "trading" in your post right?
Though there is no "house edge", there is a trading fee in most exchanges.

Have a system, test it, and ALWAYS take profits. Don't get greedy. When you're ahead, take profits off the table -- if you don't, I assure you, you will come to regret it later. Best of luck.

Yes, even though you have nothing to lose, what you win will be so low, a few thousand satoshis. You are eventually going to get wiped.

You can die at anytime eg: hit by a car, cancer, etc.

And last time I checked a dead man cant enjoy their money.
