Then the teal things are trains, not airplanes? Or are they the planes?

BTW, why teal trains/airplanes? To make them more visible and avoid accidents?

You obviously did not read the article he linked. The teal things are aircraft fuselages. :)

As to why they are teal, I can only guess it's due to poor taste (or some particular technical reason). :P

I think The teal things come here for washing after finishing the world tour . all people are professional washer here who like to wash aircraft fuselages in the river because they love nature! :P

At first I thought the picture was photoshopped. There is no way three planes would crash in the same area like that and remain completely intact. Then I read the article that pedrog posted.

The full title of that news article is:

Quote
Train carrying Boeing fuselages derails in Montana

EDIT: Some more info:

Quote from: KATU.com
MISSOULA, Mont. - Clean-up crews in Montana have their work cut out for them Saturday morning as they try to recover Boeing fuselages that crashed into the river on their way to Renton, Washington.

A freight train derailed in western Montana, sending three cars carrying 737, 777, and 747 aircraft components down a steep embankment and into the Clark Fork River.

I really hope I don't end up flying in one of those. :(

I'm particularly scared that this one might end up as part of a shiny new plane. And until it crashes, nobody would be none the wiser:

Jesus that would of been a sight to see paddling by in the canoe/kayak what ever.

Cool find... no one was hurt from the sounds of it so we can discuss :)

Surprised this was not on the TV ?? Are the articles recent? ( I can't seem to load them ATM)

Holy cow! How much did they cost? This is sad, they could've carried me and my friends to some tropical location, but now they're forced to remain waterbound and be laughed at by some kayaking CEOs on vacation!

That is quite a surreal site. Seems like something out of a disaster movie.

I'm fairly sure those planes will be scrap now. I very much doubt you can patch it up nor would it be safe to do so.
