That`s right, he scammed every user. With a fake ipo and them dumping all the premine coins while he promise the community high price and make the users to buy his dump.

After successful dumped at high price the dev is now buying FOOD at 1 sat each. Then he will pump it to profit again.

Question, how many times can we use the faucet?

How did the Dev scam people exactly??He set the entry price @ 1 satoshi so it was accessible to everyone who wanted to buy into it.There was no dump and run.In fact it was the opposite where the dev himself provided buy support and bounties from his own pocket unlike the other 99% of IPO's before this.

I think that since some people in the community are understandably hurt from the previous dev a nice Proof of Dev would help a lot.

At least this Cafe knows what's up!

Prices right now will seem absurd on hindsight after the roadmap and white paper are released!

Basically because of Plankton's shaky history, investors are weary about putting any sort of BTC into it. This will definitely change once we release the White Paper and Road Map!

After being in to IPO and selling the last off after the website issue I'm waiting to read the papers before getting back in.
I like Plankton and it's community but I'm worried about the 53 BTC of sells for now.

Indeed, but half the sells are from 100sat and upwards, with low volumes at the moment, charts are very hard to read and analyse. Also the big sell order of 10btc at 100 is only 10million FOOD. Once volume starts moving this coin, that will be merely a spec in the ocean... no pun intended ;)

But yes, wait for the White Paper and make a analysed decision on that if you would once again like to join and become an investor! We will welcome you with open arms :)

I've been holding since IPO and look forward to the future.

Still here and working on FOOD behind the scenes. We had a couple of minor setbacks to outsourced work, which hurt us a little. Pricings are still very low - so this was no major upset in terms of trading. Hopefully we should have something by the end of this month ;)

I was reading around the forums and stumbled onto this coin. Graphics seem to look nice and I think the plan has potential.  Glad to know you are still on this and even though the price is as cheap as can be, I would like to see more details about how development is going on before I buy some.

At the moment C-cex is having an "Out-of-sync" issue with Plankton (Food)

i was wondering why my deposits from Bittrex were showing they fully sent out, but didnt have them in the C-cex exchange.

it turns out the coin status is going thru some delays, probably from the overload of coins moved from delisted exchanges.

I am still here, but unfortunately we have had many of a road bump during these last couple of months with Developers and my team member dropping the project with me left to fend for myself. I am a marketer, a manager, and a team planner! Developing is very new to me and I am trying to get up to scratch - with the partners that took over this was easier as I could work with them.

So I will throw it out for help. I have direction and contacts on where I want FOOD to go. It is such a niche open market FOOD - we need it everyday - and like TITcoin CANNcoin - I would like to go in this general direction. I know we have a lot of community backing and I'm sure there is someone out there willing to lend a hand. I am still in FOOD 100% and don't want to see this go down like the rest of alternate coins. I believe we can make a difference.

Maybe try saving your wallet.dat then doing a complete install and re-syncing with default wallet and adding yours back in after.

If anyone is thinking about reinstalling their wallet then maybe they should import and save the private keys in case wallet.dat is corrupted.Also maybe try running their wallet with -reindex and then -rescan before attempting a new install.

Yes I let C-cex know how to fix their wallets. Have contacted Bittrex to find out what is going on as well! Stay tuned guys - updates as soon as I find out! Relicords is also attending a Bitcoin expo Dec 5-6 for networking etc plus a FOOD festival whilst in Vietnam to hit up some suppliers. Good things are just around the corner.

I am looking into getting a new wallet and Android/Apple Wallets created. Stay tuned.

Just give the FOOD multipool a good workover with a cheap miner and keep the volume going and it'll help out in the long run. I remember writing to C-Cex for general information some time back and they said the criteria for a coin's removal is if it's trading volume does not reach 0.01 BTC every two weeks. I'll write again for updated info after this post and return with their reply.

Casheer app launching at BTCMiami in mid January!

I suppose it's the attention that will come from the success of the app.  As far as I can remember, the list isn't that huge and there are some pretty established coins on there.

Anyway, it's the end of the week (again) so am eagerly awaiting the news update! :)

OK guys, so how do we move forward? 

Communication is shit. I'd suggest we all pull together as a community, but no one knows wtf is going on - so even that's a little difficult!

We appear to have a non existent Dev, who signed in 11 hours ago and couldn't even be bothered to say hello, after promising a news update by the end of last week.

Any ideas?

I've tried contacting both of them a number of times... Relicords I believe walked away from the project Chris I still have no idea he never responded...  

I just wish we had some idea on whats going on and what we can be expecting for the new year... I really do hope something big is happening as it is taking him forever

Trading is stable so far and so long as the blockchain keeps chugging along everything is going to be fine with or without their help. I would feel comfortable knowing that someone is looking over the FOOD network for maintenance purposes.

Also, does anyone know why FOOD was removed from Alcurex? It was there very briefly but then it was gone.

are any of you staking? We don't have very many connections unless you are planning on selling at 1satoshi why not get the free coins?

I've never been able to get my wallet to sync.  I've tried all the steps suggested in the thread.

I am, you'll have to get a sizable amount first before you can count on some profits. I am just doing it occasional to help the network when I piled up some more I'll do it more seriously. But one thing I do need answered is what the minimum stake age is and is there a maximum stake age?

Just a minor follow up in that I just heard back from C-Cex and less than 0.01 BTC of trading volume in two weeks of trading is still the delisting criteria. So unless the FOOD blockchain stops functioning FOOD is safe on C-Cex the ways things are going. So keep staking and using the multipool and everything will be good.

Can someone talk me through how to get the wallet staking?  I've never had this issue before, it normally does it automatically.

I have downloaded, but nothing happens.  I have tried creating a .conf file with nodes, but still doesn't work.

Would be grateful of a step by step simpletons guide :)

It's really simple:

1. Add currency to your wallet.
How much depends on what it is that you are staking so check the forums, exchange values, and blockchain itself for what is a good amount.

2. Set up your .conf file.
Just as normal, with your address, password, and nodes.

3. Encrypt your wallet.
Add a password to your wallet. Do so via the settings option. This is different from your .conf password. If you lose this password you'll not be able to access you currency so make sure to not forget it.

4. Unlock your wallet.
You can do so from the button on the front or the debug window. The password you will enter is the encryption password you entered into the wallet itself not the one from the .conf file.

After a few minutes if you did everything right the arrow in the bottom right corner should say that you are either not staking because you have no mature coins and remain gray or be colored green and will give you an estimate on how long it will be before you stake something.

Effective staking has it's own nuances and good practices so make sure to read up.

As far as I can tell that is exactly what I have done. The problem is I can't get the wallet to sync. I have never had this before, it just happens automatically with other wallets.

If it has been some time since your last sync your wallet might tell you that you are not syncing when it actually is but you will not get notified about it until some time later. Add these nodes and leave it on overnight and you should be fine. If not make sure your firewall is letting it through.

Your welcome. If you write to the support staff you may still be able to get them back if too much time has not yet passed. I was able to regain a sizable amount of coins from C-Cex after a delisting by writing to support about it. Bottomline, it couldn't hurt to, respectfully, ask.

I know, I know! I am also disappointed in my communication here, but I did not want to post with negative news. Unfortunately this will be the case. The developers I had in the pipeline have fallen through and the partner who took over with myself Relicords has also pulled the plug now, and wants out completely.

So this brings us to this point. I have funded and lost money/time on this project from when we took over from the first debacle. Once again it has turned into a shamble once again due to the dirty tactics used by developers to squander money from myself.

I still want FOOD to be successful, so I am asking for the communities help now. I am a one man team with vision and scope, but need to build on top of that. I am still willing to put money into this project as I believe it is a winner and we are still alive 6months on from when it was first released.

So if you know of anyone that can help or ideas - raise them! Should I just put out a bounty for things needed to be done?

The coin itself is fine but I so have two suggestions:

1. More information on the PoS parameters such as minimum stake age and maximum age, if any.

2. Have a performance update for the wallet. It currently takes a lot of resources run the FOOD wallet which makes staking a chore at the moment.

Aside from that, if you are asking what would make FOOD successful just keep the blockchain working and point some hash power at the multipool. The only reason I am trading it is because it's on one at all and is a low value coin on an exchange that can trade it with other currencies. I keep seeing devs trying to get their coins successful by adding paper wallets, app wallets, etc but all that is key to success is volume. If no one is trading it or the blockchain forks/stops with no one to fix it then it dies. If you add things like stores that accept it or apps that is nice but it is not necessary.

Because I don't have access to the original source code, updating is hard. What we will need - I was trying to get done - is clone the github source file and migrate users across to new wallet then update from there.

Are we still apart of the casheer app launch? If so that should be our main focus no doubt... Also it really doesn't hurt when we lose someone like relicords as he did nothing for the coin anyways lol

Well then you have you first task laid out for you. It is essential that you get the a hold of what you need to maintain the coin and understand it's workings. Also, I would really like to have the complete PoS parameters. I've asked a few times but without an answer. At the moment when my wallet tells me I can expect a block in 30 seconds to a minute in practice it's more like 30 minutes to an hour. Is the timing an error or is there a daily staking limit?

You should add in the Title of the forum about the Casheerapp... When people can use foodcoin for food we should see some nice activity

Yep - good time to get in.  I'll be picking them up as soon as I sort some spare BTC. 

It won't take much to get this going - especially as we head towards the Casheer App launch in a couple of weeks

    Taking into account how much time I actually spend to invest in mining and trading I'm not doing that bad on FOOD with the volume at hand but if you do wish to do something directly to affect FOOD volume you can buy a cheap miner or occasionally rent some hash power and point it at the FOOD multipool to create volume.

    Also, FOOD being on more than one exchange won't necessarily help it only trading will. One coin I have been trading for a very long time is DIEM and it's has been isolated on Poloniex for quite some time and has been very stable there. This is taking into account that it has been removed from several exchanges and is still on Comkort with slow results there. My point is that some coins do well on some exchanges but do equally as bad on others so don't think that just adding it to another may help. So to somewhat contradict myself, if you think it will have good volume on another exchange add it but don't spend the time to doing so hoping that it will be a cure for low volume. If it were me I would try to set up better trades with other currencies up like will DOGE or HTML5 and not just stick with BTC, LTC, and USD. If you see the filtered volume for FOOD you'll see that trading is being limited to only a few currencies and no serious offers are up if you check all the others. https://c-cex.com/?id=&lpm=food

I agree with you I would love seeing more people on the multipool... My coins are just staking away everyone once and a while I grab a little bit more... As for the exchanges you are right... Adding onto another exchange probably wont do nothing but getting onto an exchange with a little more volume wouldn't hurt.. Casheerapp is going to be the real deal for us.. Using food for foodcoin that is what we have all been waiting for correct :)


A little publicity on twitter would probably help us the most.. Maybe get tip bot handing out coins something along those lines...

I really do think we have a future based on name.. Telling people you can soon buy food with foodcoin is a lot easier then describing how the blockchain works :)

    I too am currently staking most of what I get or buy. Mostly to keep the network health and as a long term investment. Mining at the multipool is currently my main process of obtaining FOOD. Depending on prices, at the moment my Jalapeno, which on average get's 8 GH/s, will get me about 30,000 to 40,000 FOOD a day and my S1, at 180 - 200 GH/s, will get me 120,000 to 180,000 FOOD a day provided it will stay connected. My network has been spotty lately.

    Since there is someone still doing their best and not just quitting through this hard time I'll give some aid with knowledge I gathered over time that could help. In all my time mining and trading altcoins, I have seen very, very few coins actually follow through with being able to actually buy things with their respective currency. I would recommend trying to get it as a payment option on sites that allow for payment in other altcurrencies. The only one I know of off the top of my head that already allows for payments in almost any currency is http://www.bidcoind.com and you would need some Marinecoins (MTC) for usage and some features. I already checked and FOOD is not in the list of currencies available but if you contact them to be added I'm sure it isn't too much trouble. You would also have to subsidize some sales by perhaps selling some gift cards or small time items for FOOD to get the ball rolling. If you want to be more successful at this endeavor you'll have to find more outlets that will allow FOOD as a payment type.

    I also checked the Casheer site and apparently it won't be ready until October 2015 so I wouldn't gamble to much on that at the moment.

I see, grazed over the site and I don't think we can use it for purchases. I could very well be mistaken though. So the only spending outlet I have at the moment is at bidcoind.com but you'll have to get it listed there but there is not much up at the moment. I recommend those in charge dedicate some time to this search and report back if they find something good. In the mean time, keep up the good work, the blockchain has running well and staking is back to the normal expected rate.

I have some good news for anyone who could not access their FOOD currency due to delistment on Bittrex. I was inspecting the blockchain and I found what I believed to be the Bittrex address for all the unclaimed FOOD and I inquired about their plans and if that is indeed where the are being held and support replied with "The remaining balance still belongs to the user if the coin should ever return the site." So I suppose you can still get it back since they still considered it to be yours. If it were me I would open a support ticket and provide all the relevant amounts, transactions, and addresses to prove how much you had and where and they may still send it too you.

Thanks for finding out for us! Once momentum starts again and volume picks up we should see ourselves added back anyhow.

IMO The only thing that will kick start any coin is making it work someone's while to trade it. Some coins get lucky and get volume and some do not but the one thing I know that will always kill any coin is traders not offering serious exchange rates. Once again, keyword to success it volume.

This is true. Most coins these days are dependent on their trading volume and some serious Satoshi rates! Being at 1sat hardly helps our cause. We need some serious coin pumped into it to start a movement. Yes with BTC being so low, I might acquire some and get it moving along.

I have been in contact with Relicords and now have access to all our social media sites, so I will begin marketing on them from Monday. I am still looking into a dev to recreate the wallet - not sure if it is needed now, as the blockchain seems to be moving smoothly again, but will ask any how. Also will speak with him in regards to android/apple wallets. FOOD needs to be able to used anywhere at anytime, that's why I see these apps of high importance.

As far as Casheer we will wait to hear what has happened from the demo!

Getting it cheap and waiting in the 1 Sat queue is doing alright for me. I wish more people would try other currencies but that's just how it is at the moment it seems.

See the problem is I don't want to be a majority holder of FOOD - I don't think that would be fair in terms of when it is at higher volumes I could manipulate the market (not saying I would - but that's what people would say!). That 40odd million on c-cex at 1sat would bring my holdings to 200million food... thats a 20% holding of the whole supply.

The best option for speeding it up will require others to be willing to sell it for less than a 1 SAT each. The best results for me have been on DOGE and LTC if you are willing to sell it for half or less a SAT otherwise wait in line at the 1 SAT queue.

Sorry for my absence, let's just say personal reasons and constant people in team letting me down, I got fed up of it and let it go. I should have at least posted something to let you all know. As far as me running off with millions, ha! I wish. I think I forked out more BTC and FOOD and currently in the negative. I still hold all my FOOD from day one, and haven't sold off any. It started as a takeover from another dev that sent it into the ground, and I tried to gain movement, but nothing availed. Not meaning I didn't try! Relicords and myself worked harded to get it back on to markets, creating roadmaps, marketing, websites etc, but we were more the business side of things, and unfortunately the dev we had been working with and promised us all these great new features basically ran away with our money and here we are today.

I'd love to get this back up and running, and invest my time and money into it once again to try and re-ignite the flame that once was. Open to any ideas or help in regards.

Same here, one wallet is syncing ever so slowly! The other doesn't want to connect at all using the same connections.
Until this and block explorer are up and running, I won't be able to get us on an exchange. Will work on this over the weekend!

Just a quick update, still having problems with wallets connecting! I have one syncing... very very verryy slowly. So I am going to have to look into what is wrong with the network etc, and getting more nodes. Like I said before technically/coding etc, not to great, but I am learning quickly - I don't want to rely on others as they have let me down in the past! But it may come to that point at some stage. It could come down to recreating FOOD to FOOD 2.0 or something like that, but then that leads to how do we exchange our FOOD that we have already, if wallets aren't working etc.

Please bare with me as I am working hard to try and get this all up and running again. Thanks for all your inboxes of support as well! Let's look to the new year for FOOD and have a dominant presence in the Crypto World!

P.S How crazy is BTC going at the moment!! Thoughts?

My wallet is now fully synced, there is a possibility it's all going so slow and not connecting possible fork for some. So after speaking with MrZ28s, I will bootstrap my wallet and give you all the bootstrap.dat file to download and show you how to save into the directory and we shall go from there. Fingers crossed this will be the easiest way around and get us all back up and running again. I'm from Australia, so only morning here now and at work! I will have this done by tonight, and have a link for download.

That is if everyone is happy to go forward with this idea?

I deleted all files in appdata roaming except my wallet.DAT file and created a .conf file with just the latest nodes listed.. I hope it can connect to one of those here soon and start syncing up!

Just unzip and put in the Plankton folder as you would updating wallet.dat or Plankton.conf files. Reopen your wallet and it should start downloading the blockchain via file.

Sitting on the loading page says "importing bootstrap blockchain data files"  Been about an hour now.

I won't be able to play around with this until later.. But I'll definitely post my results!

How is it now? Possibly do a fresh install first. Leave with new wallet and add in after syncing.

HAHA.. I messed up.  But that's probably a good thing!  I deleted my entire wallet (except wallet.dat) including the original wallet download.
Now when I click on the Windows wallet link on the OP, the file no longer exists online.  Good discovery!  We need to have that back up if we want people to get back into this coin!  Chris, can you give me a link for the wallet.zip file?  Thanks!
