Title: What to do with 0.0087 btc
Post by: Btcvilla on August 17, 2014, 04:59:17 AM
Hello, I bought about 0.0087 btc today to learn more about btc and things I could do with it (investing or spending).

Well in terms of investing you can just keep the coin and wait for its price to go up. You could risk it by investing in loans at BTCJam while hoping that the users pay you the interest they say they will. If you want to spend it you can search localbitcoins or coindesk for local shops that take bitcoin payments (buy yourself a soda or something).

I'm selling "Bitcoin Accepted Here" stickers as well as Orange or Black Bitcoin Symbol stickers for 0.004BTC shipped to USA if you're looking to buy something on these forums with them.

I would also like to note that by invest I mean btcjam, but that's too long term with the amount of insert I would be getting, I'm hoping too never exchange it to fiat and use it as what it should be, a currency.

I suggest save it, but if you have money to spare and are willing to get more soon then have some fun

with .001 I made 28 btc betting on esports/baseball betting and alt coins

3000% to -.001% :( roi on justdice https://i.imgur.com/esL8lgJ.png , sadly I ended up taking this to 3 then losing it all by a missclick lol... ahh wells.

6000% roi on a urocoin pump and dump

3000% roi killing the crown in huntercoin when it was worth something still :) (when it was new you could buy a unit in the game for .001 and it was like bomber man alt coin and I ended up doing well when the price was good)

19200% roi on Nitrogensports.eu, started with .1 btc to many bets to show them all there is some listed

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/893706cVFJ5MW5HZ0FxL3lnOGJpMWh6R1NWdz09/r/24697/

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/f036176QkRzcmNkZ3QxMXFhYk5IWTcrVG5Wdz09/r/24697/

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/6f0867fY3Bsazc3SE9zVjZtUlpWTEJ0R3QwZz09/r/24697/

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/e5be183Y2JYN1hid1hORkpaMXJjU3d0U3QzZz09/r/24697/

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/b407685ZDMvZFloN3ZFMmloTjlrcCtqb1ltZz09/r/24697/

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/a9a15b2SHFVMEJSNHdSRG44QW9Qa2FPZ2ROUT09/r/24697/

https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/2d32cb8YTFIdEdNUjJETnU3NDhzSkE4L3Vkdz09/r/24697/

my only current bet is on urocoin atm ;)

I will compile a list of good gambling sites sometime, justdice and nitrogensports have been the best so far, fast cash in and pay outs , but just dice is shut down due to new cdn laws, but I suggest nitrogen sports as your sports book if you wanted to do that, I have been scammed on many sites gambling so be careful not going to name names *cough cloud shit* :P

Maybe you'd like to try mining altcoin?
Rent a rig! https://leaserig.net/
https://www.miningrigrentals.com/
https://www.betarigs.com/

I never had a mining equipment and never mine anything before. So the first time i rent a mining rig is amazing!
I choose the coin i wanted to mine, put the stratum etc, monitoring my hashrate, difficulty and earning, and finally sell them on exchange! It was a great experience.

But don't expect for profit by doing this :) Cause in most cases you won't even reach ROI, but still it's an amazing things to do :)

Invest - (risky), find a reliable invest plan - most of them is not reliable and scam users with larger deposits, better do some search about.

Gamble - (ultra risky) - try varoius dice games, luckyb.it, rollin.io.

Hold them - (safe way) - just keep bitcoins until their price skyrockets.

Depends on your skills. You can try day trading, but if you have no experience, I wouldn't try it.

Hold them or trading
or if you have very good luck, you can try gambling (Dicebitco.in, Primedice) or betting
if I am, I will hold until collected at least 0,01 BTC and trading or soccer betting  :)

Title: Re: What to do with 0.0087 btc

If I were you, I would keep that amount and wait until I get at least .01 btc and try trading. I do not recommend you to trade if you are not entirely sure of what you're doing. Try to just hold the coin and keep it there for the mean time, then try to do some research on how to grow your bitcoins. :)

Oh, before I forgot, don't put your btc on shady sites. :)

If you wanna send to me, you can find my address on my profile. I guess It‘s better to hold your bitcoin and try to get more bitcoin. When the price is raising you can spend it and send to me of course :P

Hello, I bought about 0.0087 btc today to learn more about btc and things I could do with it (investing or spending).

Do some exploring on altcoins, and make your bet, pick something that looks largely undervaluated.
Altcoin markets are the best way to increase your funds, but its also the fastest way to loose also.
If you end up making a good pick, dont stay in that alt for too long, sell it and pick your next victim.
Its a rinse and repeat process, and it served me pretty good in the past.

There are various way to spend your BTC 0.0087 :

you can invest it like rent a minning stuff at PBMining (http://pbmining.com/)

You can trade some altcoin then sell them to exchanger like mintpal (https://www.mintpal.com/) or Poloniex (https://poloniex.com/) , etc

You can gamble it if you feel lucky , MoneyPot (https://www.moneypot.com) i'm so addicted play here  ;D

You can hold it , sold high !  buy cheap !

It's not a huge amount of btc, personally I'd either gamble it or buy into an undervalued alt currency and hope the price goes up.

You could spend it on purchasing mining contracts. I have stuff going on at Cryptsy, BCS, PBMining, and Scrypt.cc should you want to check those out.

I'm going to shamelessly post my referral links to them, because why not?

Cryptsy (https://www.cryptsy.com/users/register?refid=156277) - Online exchange site where you can buy and sell Bitcoin and altcoins. They also have a Mining Contract 'currency' that are essentially mining shares you can buy and sell with Bitcoin. Every day, based on your shares you're accredited Bitcoin. You can also buy the shares and sell later when prices go up.

Bitcoin Cloud Services (https://www.bitcoincloudservices.com/?ref=1317) A service I'm trying out, seems to pay in BTC daily. Five year contracts (legitimacy isn't guaranteed. Then again, the market of trade is never guaranteed) and the BTC is deposited to your wallet

PBMining (http://pbmining.com?ref=greyfoxsylux) is another service like BCS, but has a smaller minimum contract requirement, and pays weekly.

Scrypt.cc (http://scrypt.cc?ref=babGX) is like Cryptsy's Mining Contract shares, but mines the most profitable altcoin and autotrades to BTC.

^those are handy for if you want to toss them somewhere and let them build up.

Another thing to do is to watch the values of altcoins on Cryptsy, buy them when the value of altcoins go down, and sell when they go up. You can profit from that. There are other exchanges besides Cryptsy, but I like using Cryptsy.

And another way is to sell Bitcoin for your fiat currency when it spikes in value, and buy when it drops. There are a lot of ways you can do stuff.

You can invest it to buy some altcoins, it's risky though. I suggest you to buy some KryptKoin (KTK), since it's cheap now, but I predict it will spike soon when new features come out, like its marketplace. Here's a link, if you are interested:

I would strongly advise against investing in mining, its oversaturated and unprofitable.
Not to mention that with cloud mining you dont even have the hardware in your possesion.
The only thing you can do if u wont hold it, and want to invest is to take a smart guess investing in new altcoins.

And you can search for methods to make btc in the meanwhile.

It's not a big amount and if you're not afraid of losing it try gambling a little and maybe you'll be able to add a little more to it if you're lucky, I wouldn't suggest trading altcoins, it's really hard to guess which ones are legit and which ones aren't. Don't lend it to anybody without a proper collateral.

Don't invest in any cloud mining. Seems like all sites are starting to fall apart and
come out as the ponzis they are. PBmining seems extremely suspicious in terms
of what hashing power they're renting out, and the fact that they've never shown
any proof of having a single miner.

Lunamine and some other cloud mining site disappeared a few days ago, taking the coins of hundreds of users.

It's a risky business. The only safe investment would probably be cex.io, but their rates are far too high to be
profitable.

You can buy the games on Humble bundle https://www.humblebundle.com/.
You can pay whatever amount you want for a few games, and get a few more if you pay "more than the average" (slightly more than $4 for this round). :)

I didn;t mean gambling. I meant to invest in primedice, in their btc pool and ever time someone wins  you get a % from how much you have invested... can't really remember what gambling site it was.

You could perhaps try out low(er)-risk gambling to maybe get a higher amount. Low-risk doesn't mean there is no risk though, so tread carefully with any kind of gambling!

Or you could perhaps buy a game/book/something bundle on Humble Bundle, or just a game bundle on Indie Gala. They give some nice games for small prices, and they accept Bitcoin.

if you afford to loss all, then you gamble! I suggest to save or spend it,then buy back when the price declines.

Hello, I bought about 0.0087 btc today to learn more about btc and things I could do with it (investing or spending).
Simply invest it, buy alt coin or buy mining rigs

The amount is too little to be able to do anything, buy more since the price is cheap now and it is going to go up soon (hopefully).

With just 0.0087 btc, you can only earn about $5 even when bitcoin price goes back to the all time high.

IMO, you should buy more bitcoin, and keep all of them safe in an offline wallet.
