In fact, I'll make 4 auctions for the series 300-399 (300-324, 325-349, 350-374, 375-400), they will be roll (Casascius Style) and the start price will be really good. They will be rolled in a Cryptolator paper and air sealed. Each of them will have a different colours (Red, Green, Blue and Yellow).

I'm also thinking about making either a 100 coins box in auctions an making the start price really good too, or doing another 4 rolls, still unsure about it :)

Those coins will be single signature and have a different certificate (One big certificate 8.5 x 11, either Red, Green, Blue or Yellow, corresponding to the colours of the batch)

Give me your opinions on this and tell me what you think or what you would prefer.

There will be 3 special coins coming in extra with the rolls, one of them will be a copper one engraved with "Roll1, Roll2,..." and two other one that nobody seen yet (Still the "Unchained" design, different materials, minted to 25 coins each) :P

4 Rolls will be put here on auction, they will be the colours roll series (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow) and the auction will be one at a time, one week each...

3 other rolls will be released on eBay and won't be part of the colours series (Something else :P)

As soon as I get the coins back from the engraver, I will announce the first auction...

To get these two special 25 edition coins, does one have to purchase a roll or are you offering some of them separately?   Sounds like there will be 7/25 sold each with the rolls.  Any more details of this special edition you can share now, like which materials?

bitguy101 will get #001 to #005 of each, I'll keep one of each... so that leave 12 coins of each... I still don't know how I will make them available but it may be either here on eBay...

As for the material, I guess I can tell you, one is Antique Bronze and the other one is Antique Copper... they look gorgeous ! :)

Each rolls will come with 3 separate coins (In Boxes), Antique Copper, Antique Bronze and either Merlin Gold or Copper with the number of the roll engraved on it.

There will be 10 of each Antique coins going on eBay once the 7 rolls are gone.

There is only 25 Antique Copper and 25 Antique Bronze that have been made and 5 of each have gone to my USA seller (bitguy101), 7 of each are going with the rolls, and 3 of each are reserved (I don't take any reservations for them, those were special reservation)

Agreed.  The Cryptoimperator Silver Super Doges sold like hotcakes and were also a 25 edition.  Not sure why these arent generating the same interest. 

In fact, I think that selling them bundled with 25 Coins make it a bit too expensive for a lot of peoples, and they probably don't want to have that much coins.

I don't really know how a coin of that quality wouldn't be able to sale as much as Cryptoimperator coins.

Yes bitguy101 sold for over 0.5! To me!  ;D I actually paid more than 0.5, but the negotiation started there. Which is why I said it's bad for me if it sells for lower. I need to profit,  not fall again. But we'll see how things go :)

But I will vouch these are beautiful coins.  You will not find ANYTHING near this quality at the less then 8 dollar price.

I'm currently trying to figure out a way to make it.

I've lost my job a few months ago and it's kinda hard for me to get all the money needed to do the next design.

The other problem is the Canadian Dollars value vs USD, it's so low that it make the project to cost even higher.

I really want to make the next series (Which would be 100 x 1 ounce silver coins), this would cost me a total of around 7000$ (Design, Plaster Sculpt, Dies, Box, Holo, Certificate, Air-tite and coins), so I would have to sell them around 89$ each to make a little profit and covering the working hours of me and my dad (Yeah, I make them with my dad, :P)

That's about it... I hope to find a way to be able to make it :/

You should change the title of the thread to 0 /500 left.
This way people know they are gone. And you can judge interest in the next ones.

Also, (and this is just my view), there are a lot of the 1oz rounds. Go for something different.

Looking forward to the next design.  You could always gauge interest, take a small up front amount for preorder and/or have people put money up front in escrow so you know you have orders.

there were some really nice bitcoin designers such as the Ant 1 oz and the 2 oz bitcoin from mrBau.  they designed  for Coinographic but they went bankrupt so these designers did not get paid. you can get complete this project with Cryptolator name on it.  it is faster and cheaper . Cost much less than $7000 for sure.

definitely the 1oz silver or gold ant. that looks legit.

I would love to see the Coinographic 1B "Ant" and 2B "B" designs that never got made be done by a legit maker.  It may save time and design costs for the coin maker, get the designers Mr Bau and Martin Lauritsen some compensation and satisfaction for their work, and the community finally gets to see these great designs made. 

I already have the design in head and that is not what would cost the most (Around 800$ from the artist who made the first design based on my rough design), the Sculpt and Die are where the money goes (Except when you only put a B on a coin :P), my coins are really high quality and have a lot of details, I would never go to anything that does not meet or exceed the first edition quality.

My design would be awesome and kinda related two the first design (Completely different design tho)

I would gladly put down the pre-order BTC in the escrow if Cryptolator can get the Ant 1oz and the B 1oz design .  Those are cool designs.   I am pretty sure the bitcointalk community would support your projects and do a pre-order thru an escrow.  The problem with the Coinographic is they put an extraodinary super high premium on their coins that they don't get much orders.

While those designs are cute and all, they does not mean anything, they are thoughtless and are not appealing to me in term of message or image. I've putted a lot of efforts and references in my first coin and I do think that it was the best design out of any crypto coins(I know it sounds pretentious, but it is more self satisfaction than anything :P). (BTW, What the hell does an ant have to do with Bitcoin(lafontaine fables, maybe...) , and the geared "B" is just lame in my opinion, and I guess, that's only my opinion and I do understand that some peoples like it)

Coinographic was doomed to fail from the beginning, don't know who was running that but it looked like they had some mathematical deficiency. (My two cents).

I am pretty sure that you would all like the next design.

In term of messages, Cryptolator Unchained Series is the best 10 out of 10.  I love the story with the Pig, the Sheep, and the Crumpling bank...etc.

in term of Holo Design,  Caucasius is the best 10 out of 10 with a Honeycomb fool proof design.

in term of details and graphic,  the Ant is so far 9 out of 10.  just my humble opinion. !!!  :) :) :) :)

I loved the design and the amount of detail on the Unchained Series and am happy you are going with your personal design, I can't wait to see it and buy some.  8)

As far as the ant design by Coinographic though, I am pretty sure it did have a meaning, some comparison Andreas Antonopoulos makes between Leafcutter Ants and Bitcoin. Not really sure what the comparison is exactly (I've heard it before), but he had them put on his book (http://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Bitcoin-Unlocking-Digital-Crypto-Currencies/dp/1449374042#) also.

My holo have been made by the same company Casascius used, they also have honeycomb temperproof security, they look pretty good too, but yeah, Casascius holo are probably a bit nicer than mine :P

when will you release your new design? Do you at least have a graphic rendering that you can post so we can give you inputs and more ideas. it helps out your project when the bitcointalk community participated to your project and get more publicity . I think it's good to promote your business.

It would be 90 silver coins with 20 early birds at 89$ and 70 coins at 99$

That would cover the whole process of making this coin and give me a bit of money for my time...

That's cool with me.  Will your coins have ser # engraved on it such as 007/100  or just # 007 ?

Only 007 since I would have to modify the back die to make the serial area larger and that would add too much to the total cost...

Unsure if you can limit folks to only getting a couple each so that the first on doesnt get all 20 ? (and then make a packet on the resale)

I don't think its as well known as kickstarter, but if you want people funding with cryptos, its an option.

As a I mentioned earlier, there have been successful crypto coin projects on it, such as maxcoin, startcoin.

It's been a while since my last post. Here is what's going on:

I've been pretty busy working on diferents projects lately and I haven't really worked on anything related to Cryptolator.

The momentum on Bitcoin, is IMHO quite low and I don't think it would have worth it to make a 2015 series and sell like 100 of them and making just a small profit while working my ass off like I did on the first series.

I'm not saying that there won't be any new series in the future, if I feel it would worth making it, I could make a 2016 series or whatever.

I have some great ideas for new designs and I hope to have the chance to make them!



I still have some 2014 series left, including 4 really rare (Only 25 mades) combo Antique coins.

...but expensive. Paypal+Ebay will steal close to 20% of your sale price.
Sold a few Panda's on ebay recently and it was a frendly reminder to me how expensive their service is.
The positive thing is you get broad audience and a very nice seller interface, but at a too high cost (imo).

I normally get 11.9% fees (ebay + paypal combined)
That's still high... :P

I recalculated, i paid 13.5% in average for my last 3 sales. So to be fair then was the 20% I wrote too high.
But we can agree on "That's still high".
