This is POOL version.
There are two versions: for Catalyst 13.12 and for 14.7. Version for Catalyst 14.7 is faster by about 10%.

CURRENT LIMITATION: Only "1gh.com" and "nonce-pool.com" pools are supported.

Set "GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT" environment variable as "100".

Developer fee is set to 0% in v2.3 since this miner is not supported for a long time.

This version is for recent AMD videocards only: 6xxx, 7xxx and 2xx. No nVidia support.

This version is for Windows x64 only. No Windows x32 support. No Linux support.

This version has no GPU temperature and overclocking management.

COMMAND LINE OPTIONS:

-o    pool address and port.

-u    your wallet address.

-p    password, use "x" as password.

-di    GPU indexes, default is all available GPUs. For example, if you have four GPUs "-di 02" will enable only first and third GPUs.

-dbg   debug log and messages. "-dbg 0" - create log file but don't show debug messages.
   "-dbg 1" - create log file and show debug messages. "-dbg -1" (default) - no log file and no debug messages.

Do not forget to specify your wallet address!

PERFORMANCE

About 9.0 Mh/s on stock 290X for Catalyst 14.7 version.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Install Catalyst v13.12 or 14.7 and use appropriate miner version.
2. Disable overclocking.
3. Set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100.
4. Reboot computer.

Sadly this does not work on my catalyst 14.

v14.x drivers have some new bug in OpenCL compiler, it will take some time to investigate this issue and find a workaround, probably 1-2 days.

6.2MH/s on 290x  :o  wow that's bad... compared to nvidia equivalent 780ti doing 14MH/s
(that's mostly the same perf as the 750ti for 4x the power usage...)

I was thinking to switch back my 660 with my 290x, well for less than 2MH/s it isn't worth it.  ;D

780ti is a bit more expensive and powerful card :) But I agree, in general nvidia is faster for this algo. At least for now.

Why no support for linux for any Claymore miner? Is it just because binaries are more easily/effectively obfuscated for windows? You guys just love bill gates? Hate linus? Just curious.

I use 13.12

I really don't like Linux :( Almost any action there takes much more time than in Windows and I don't like to spend a lot of time for nothing. Simple action - install Catalyst 13.12 on Ubuntu 14.04. As I found, it's impossible, spent half a day for nothing. And so on... However, I will release Linux CryptoNote miner very soon.

I have the same problem with AMD 270x and AMD 280x too!

My mistake, my dev system has custom OpenCL settings, I will reload binaries in a few minutes.

PS. It will take some more time because I found how to avoid problem with Catalyst 14.x and also improve miner speed.

Updated, v1.1 beta:

- Improved mining speed, about 8 MH/s on stock 290x.
- Fixed issue with OpenCL warnings.

Unfortunately, issue with Catalyst 14.x will take some more time.

Works for me now. Even with Catalyst 14 by copy/paste

I'm guessing this will release mean 1gh will have way more than 50% of the network.

It already has >50%, just check the list of latest found blocks.

I used mpir to debug code on CPU, now I removed mpir.dll dependency, redownload v1.1.

anyone has kh/s for 7970 GHZ edition and power usage.
I've 4 sapphire 7970 vapor x, but so far I went with gtx 750 ti,
because they need much less power but if the 7970 goes to 7000 kh/s
it may be worth it.

At the moment the BTC/hash is not profitable. Almost like X11 returns.

If you want Linux with AMD drivers for OpenCL follow Hashcat guys. Guide to install AMD drivers on Ubuntu http://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=linux_server_howto. Never had any problems. They recommend 12.04 though.

no profit for 0.12$/1kWh

My power price is about ~0,07$ for 1kw, it is barely profitable, with 2 rigs I have 0.01btc on xcn bruto ~6$, with power cost, in best case ~3$ profit a day.
Of course I don't sell anything until price triple.
Plan is to mine XCN until diff is stable, when profitability is on same level with monero.

My power cost is over $0.25/kWh. I was wondering who is mining XCN. Now, I know.

I am in one step to shut down the rigs, with $0.25/kWh there is no point to mine, better buy coins with electricity cost, and sell hardware.

I got a 33% slowdown with the last update (updated catalyst from 13.12 to 14.7)

Got 3200 before and now about 2200.

I'm using a 6950 Sapphire.


Edit: 1.1 still gives me over 3000 even with the new Catalyst, so no need to install the older drivers if you have the same problem.

For 6xxx cards you need to check all miner versions to find the fastest, I did not optimize miner for these cards.

1. What CPU do you have?
2. Do you use antivirus in real-time protection mode?

2. I'm using avast. I have tried to disable it and then run the program but it still does not work.

Almost 4mHs for rig UP

Try to start default "pool.bat", do not change anything, just unpack miner and start pool.bat. If it fails, add "-dbg 2" at the end of command line in pool.bat and post log file here. If no log created, something is wrong with your system and I don't have any ideas what it can be, sorry.

No log is created when I try what you suggested.

All other miners work fine on this rig including your XMR miner. I've tried it on another rig and the miner works fine.  ???

Thanks for trying to help though. It does seem that the problem is with my system as others don't seem to be having the issue. I may try fresh install of windows which should tell me if its a hardware or software problem.

I mine a little for fun. It's cold here so it doesn't really add to the bill even though there is probably more profitable coins to mine.

This miner won't work with M7N, for M7N (or M7M, I don't know :)) I'll release own miner in a few days.

i wouldnt bother, they will change the algo slightly to make it gpu resistant again......... they did it once already

Why is initializing time so long?above 2 minutes.

It's because M7 PoW uses 7 algorithms + a couple of additional operations, it takes OpenCL 5-15 seconds to compile optimized kernel for every algorithm.

There is no poing mining it with AMD at such speed. Nvidia 750Ti's average speed is 5.2Mh/s , so 280X's speed should be at least twise bigger...

you can run on skein, you will even beat a 780ti with your 290x

I don't mean to flame or troll or anything, but what's the point of paying a developer fee for a miner when there are free miners that work GREAT for those cards listed?

Sorry, I didnt get it- am I able running the current miner with skein algo for higher speed. Btw- I have some rig with sapphire 280x vipor-x and it work great. I dont think 290x is good choice considerig its price and power consumption ...😊

I get only 5.4M per 280X (core/mem 1060/1250 driver 13.12). Is it normal ?

If you install 14.6 or above , you'll get some nice boost of hashpower

Well, by default cards are not overclocked. So if you want to disable overclocking you must overclock them somehow firstly, and then use same tool to return clocks back :)

I'll check it soon. If it is not faster than 14.7 (I mean not this miner but my general tests) I won't optimize miner for it to achieve similar performance as 14.7, it's senseless.

On 14.7 rc3 i have 27.5mhz with 4x 280x
on 14.9 whql I have 16.5mhz with 4x 280x

I am considering upgrading my Windows 8.1 rigs to 14.7 driver. I have 6 GPUs on each rig. Has anyone successful done this and got all 6 gpus working?

I'm currently running the stock microsoft drivers and they are the only way I was able to get all 6 gpus to work. With any AMD drivers I only get 5 gpus active.

Your linker version is 11.0, perhaps vs 2012, could you try to compile with vs 2013 ?

anyway, I revert drivers to 14.7 version, so they work now, the issue that some code files were built with old version of the compiler.

Did someone already test the speeds on most popular cards?

didn't work on my 290x with 15.7.1 driver. Driver always crashes. Decided not to waste time on it.

after getting a few job timeout errors on 1gh, (Set diff  [28], parse error 6), the results after 10 minutes of mining:

3 x 380 ~ 14000 15000 Khs - def clocks, power consumption is under 100w per card
1 x 7950 - ~3100 Kh/s

and multiply that with .95 to get the real hash rate after the 5% dev fee


1070 (with an old ccminer) on the other hand gives around 14000KHs with 140w consumption

A nvidia supported version would be much appreciated Claymore.

It's not so easy. GPU kernels are created/compiled for 13.x and 14.x drivers, they don't work with 15.x drivers and higher, so I have to update GPU code too, it will require a couple of days.
Unfortunately, currently I don't have any time for it because I'm busy with further ZEC optimizations.
I could update EXE only and keep old GPU kernels, but you would blame me that miner does not work because noone uses 13.x/14.x drivers now, so I don't want to do it.
As soon as I have some time, I will update GPU kernels, add suprnova and reduce devfee at least in two times. But right now this miner is dead. Probably XCN too, I did not hear about it for a long time.

I know you have bigger miners to make and maintain, but could you please consider doing very little changes to this one, so it can be used on all pools? That's allowing custom usernames and passwords.

I missed your message, I did not check this thread for a long time. It's not a problem, I removed devfee completely since I don't maintain this miner for a long time. I uploaded v2.3 to Mega. It must accept any usernames.
But when I check suprnova pool, it shows "Share above target" error and it would take much more time to understand and fix the reason. May be it works with other hardware or drivers or pool... Unfortunately, currently I don't have time for this miner.

I use claymore 2.3 for 280x, miner is star to run but https://xcn.suprnova.cc is not hash

can you opensource it ?, if you don't want to earn from it.

I doubt very highly he would open source it as I am sure all of his mining programs share a common code base which would lead to clues on how people could circumvent his other mining software. Just be happy he realized that since it is no longer being actively maintained he removed the fee.

Even if you had AMD new miner, orphan rate on this coin is near ~50% on top of that NV is a lot faster so... no point

The dev don't have time to fix this and this coin not profit anymore for him. I have the same issue, now I return to ZEC
