Title: $300-350 Range - Have we missed the boat? $352.18 11:03 GMT 11/10
Post by: RockHound on October 09, 2014, 04:26:44 PM
This one's for the Buyers:

Was lucky enough to pick up some sub$300 coin the other night - Got more funds on way to exchange, whatever I pick up when credited is cool (equivalent Fiat) but always nice to increase BTC holdings  ;)

Sold another bunch at an average price of ~$450 day after the man bear whale action, so would be great to pick up for anything under that (sweet margin hey  8) )

Anyway - would love to pick up next in the $300-350 range, but who here thinks that's not gonna happen?

I expect, given the current uptrend, it'll be closer to $450 that I buy back which means I don't make any extra BTC on this swing - lol

Get funded maybe Tomorrow or Monday, be great to hear what you guys think!

300-350 is now considered an early adopter range.

You should think long term and position yourself for long term trend.

Picking nickle and dime rarely make anyone big money.

Agree - In fact I reckon $450 is still pretty cheap - I generally don't set crazy Limit Orders and just buy near Market rate each time - it's part of my business.

Would still love to pick up at that sweet $300-350 range, but your right, think that's gone now

When I decided to invest in BTC last year I made up my mind not to bag hold and in my mind increasing BTC holdings consistently is the only way to negate price volatility.

I retail significant amounts on a popular marketplace (and take all the risks, unsociable hours, dealing constantly with bank transfers, thorough ID checks and all that comes becoming an established Seller) Nonetheless, I am very grateful to that site!!

Sure for me and family to get super rich, I need the BPI to go like $3000+ but either way doing best to increase holdings.

Long-term I hope BTC goes to da Moon

Personally I think you missed the boat for 300-350, However I feel like it might dip down to 350 briefly for a "bit" so get ready. - All speculation, based on this trend the past 2 days it could be 450 by the end of tomorrow.

Nice one juju - I'd glad not only one who shares that sentiment! We just briefly touched $370 a mini dump from last push to $395.55 - I suspect this will correct shortly and if trend continues like we think should approach $400 very quickly (Pure guess)

Still have my 2 that I got at 280 LOL. Not bad for just doing nothing but clicking hey?

On topic, I think it might touch 350 or a bit above before the night is over.

Haha brilliant - I was thinking of you mate, when the price started going up and people saying everyone missed it  ;D   I too picked up a bit later on that morning @ around $300.

Mate, that was an inspired click - good man!

Cheers for that - seems like it's possible for $350 touch, but for me, fear I won't get funded in time - It'll get credited either tomorrow afternoon or I got to sweat the weekend (yea!) till Monday

My bad Zero! I'm really long-term Bull on Bitcoin

Just shit when you got funds on way ready/willing to spend and can't do anything because old bank wires take ages  :D

It'll probably bounce back to $380 in no time - crazy volatile today!

Are you unable to use Circle?

Unless you're referring to the exchanges, and if so nvm!

Don't worry your chance is already here... they shouldn't allow post so close to actual price! You are already able to buy under $350 & soon 300 no worries. My only question is why are people still buying LTC ?!

Mind reader, I have considered, now gathering info from UK Circle users on web.

I have quite a few questions which need addressing before I give them a go. Firstly, have held a verified beta account with them for some time - unfortunately they weren't able to link bank accounts outside of US. Now my understanding is you can link most Debit cards on the Visa/Mastercard network.

- I wonder what are there daily limits? I would want to buy around 2500GBP every two days.

- When I normally use my debit card overseas - a transaction completes, then approximately 1-3 days later a Retail FX fee is also debited from my account @1-2%

- Their website says that they have the ability to give you instant access to a proportion? (So I have daily BTC withdrawal limits too?)

- Are there any disadvantages for using Circle via Debit Cards, that I'm not aware of? etc...

Thanks for posting though mate, very thoughtful  ;)  Have you tried them out yet?

Cheers brother - We hit it!! Albeit not for long lol - Yeah suspect there's a lot of folk placing Limit Orders around $300-350 zone, and i hope it completes for them soon (not in like a month or two) Given the recent volatility you could definitely be right and shoot back down. I'm unable to buy right now because my money is in the banking legacy system/wire process (might come in tomorrow or Monday)

LTC's been somewhat on my radar too, since 18/08 when flash crash down to $3.35 range then shot up day after. I don't have the confidence to put in a large position in LTC unless I could buy for $250 range in another flash crash.

Counter Party would have been nice to acquire on Man Bear Whale day!

Don't let past performance be a indicator for you! All this stuff is too new... Bitcoin might blow up but alt coins definitely won't. In a year it will take 100million Lite coin to buy a new sword in universe of warcraft

not going to back that range i'm afraid. just barely touching 350 maybe but most definitely not 300 anymore. sigh like you i've exhausted all my funds and would like to get some more cheap coins but good times don't last. still, 400 is still fundamentally cheap if you base it on the actual production cost and not the supply and demand market.

Do your research, miners can still profit at double digits per coin... how is 300 cost of production???  ???

I never said 300 is the cost of production. actual (legitimate and normal)production cost of one single btc is about 520-550. Miners mine at a loss, much less profit, anything below 500, so your out-of-thin-air claim miners can still profit at double digits not only shows your own lack of research but also your stupidity, and I might also add, your trolling.

Hey man cheers for posting! Yeah we touched/went slightly below $350 for a few minute yesterday. The market since has been fluctuating in the $365 range (that's still fairly cheap atm)

To my surprise I woke up before and found that my funds arrived, this time it only took 2-3 business days to wire  :o   - I have already placed a Limit Order (Normally I tend to buy close to  market rate) but this time decided to shoot a little lower and set an order @ $343.05.

I don't have the luxury of waiting days so will adjust my price up over the next 6Hrs - I think you are right though, and we wont see eg.$330 range short-term now.

Like you say BTC's still "cheap" so happy if I end up paying $380 range but extra sweet if can get $340-350 zone again??    :-*

Don't know much about mining - I think your are right in saying it can be profitable (in fact, just in my eyes, I think the Alt market is mostly speculators right now) Are you thinking about mining Alts? I wouldn't know which Alt to point my hashing power to, guess I would be switching between different coins every 5-36Hrs.

Don't think I got math right on this, but maybe roughly.

Waiting to pick up a Limit Order @$347.06 currently (will keep moving price up)  For that to occur I need ~3500BTC net dump to happen  :P    (my exchange tracks BitStamp very closely)

Guessing there's a few other folks here waiting for that too  lol  ::)

Yeah, safe to say missed that $xx boat lol

Short-term though - You could have bought in yesterday @$349 (1minute window). Seems like we are getting pretty close to it again?

My Limit Order is still set relatively low but happy to buy-in at any time now. Are you also buying today or what you reckon today's low will be/what I should set Limit Order to?

Mate - totally see what you are saying (as a lot of folks do too) for that we would need to see a 5000K net dump on BStamp.

But don't want to miss the boat and end up paying $380 range, know what I mean : )

My exchange that I'm using is a little different than BStamp, it does track the price but they aren't as liquid as BStamp just yet. I find that if BStamp stay at a particular price for an Hr then my exchange follows (within 1%)

If think your Limit Orders are reasonable, would say $330-340 range are more likely short-term, if shooting low

You could be right but let's face it - still pretty cheap atm!!

Like last week - I suspect a lot of eager buyers wanting cheap BTC  - International wires coming into exchanges credited Monday-Wednesday for most. So expect another mini rally to $400-425 starting to ramp up on Monday - I'm completing my Order before then for sure!!

We seem to be having issues dropping below $350 - hopefully we will do tonight - I'm only asking for around $345, it's so frustrating when we get so close - thinking good thoughts  :)

Heads-ups - the trading engine on Stamp is currently consolidating as a fair order has just been added:

$360.69   3100.00000000   $1,118,139.00

Not sure, but this might take us into the $300-350 zone??

Edit: The order has come up as a BID, therefore I could be wrong and this large order might take us other way ($380 range) Bugger  ;D

I don't think this fall is over.  Usually, you got a huge buy order restoring some confidence.  But we couldn't break 400.  I think the dumpers will reload and do more dumping.

True, that normally happens, but wanted to get my order completed before then. You've seen that 3100BTC buy come in too?

Plus there are no other large ASKS on Stamp atm

We're only $0.90 off that 3100BTC order now, so hang on folks

$360.70   1641.13565383   $591,957.63   (now disappeared/removed)(reappeared lol)
$360.69   3100.00000000   $1,118,139.00
