(I have done it before but normally i sell in same country). A lot of address I dealt with that wanted international shipping from US were not paypal verified address which causes problems of its own. Sure this is not everyone but a great deal seemed to fall into this category. There is a lot more of a chance of damage or loss depending on how far and where to you ship it. Customs you will get requests from buyers to not describe it as certain things for some countries to avoid VAT. If selling for BTC i (and assume most) are more willing to ship where it requires customs knowing there will not be a paypal dispute and you have to wait for it to be shipped from who knows where.
