ITS strange to me that I see many sellers offering to sell their miners US only, or UK only, OR EU only

1) Miners are not made in US or UK or EU
they have already traveled so far to reach US UK EU owners

2) People that thinking of bitcoin to become global currency, are only willing to drive locally or post
locally only to sell their miners...

3) I am an ebay seller offering more than 3500 items willing to take btc for payment
NO ONE has ever asked me for doing this since 6 months now
I dont know how but his must change

Selling miners locally to safe on shipping charges. Shipping charges is probably more expensive then the miner itself.

shipping is paid usually from the buyer
so this is up to the buyer to decide if its worth total expense Purchase+shipping

Some people will only ship to the same country to avoid the hassle of dealing with customs, seizured packages, etc. Also the probability of the package getting damaged or lost goes up with international. If you are talking about ebay it is easier to scam people with if you are talking on btc forums then see the first few sentences.

I know on my old gear I sold all in US.  It saves on shipping, and makes no customs problems.  It just makes life easier.

It is a pain.  It has to be a risk worth my time to send to another country.  (I have done it before but normally i sell in same country).  A lot of address I dealt with that wanted international shipping from US were not paypal verified address which causes problems of its own.  Sure this is not everyone but a great deal seemed to fall into this category.

There is a lot more of a chance of damage or loss depending on how far and where to you ship it.   Customs you will get requests from buyers to not describe it as certain things for some countries to avoid VAT.

If selling for BTC i (and assume most) are more willing to ship where it requires customs knowing there will not be a paypal dispute and you have to wait for it to be shipped from who knows where.
