Donating to the forum and becoming a VIP also grants you the ability to change your username, but 50 BTC is a high price to pay when you could simply create a new account. The only reason this may be considered unfair, imho, is if the account's username was something that other people may want. "vvv8" is probably not going to be a popular username choice. I don't have a problem with alt accounts as long as they're not used for evading bans. username changes are available mainly for VIP members mainly or ones that can ask that from theymos and unless you are ready to send in something like 50 BTC to change the username for a newbie account it wouldn't be worth it. |
