As an experiment I wonder if I set a 250-500 BTC donation cap to legally change my name to BITCOIN once the cap is reached if this would be achieved.

Sorry op, but no one is going to pay you a ridiculous amount to change your name for this. Go change it first then prove it, then maybe some people will send you some donations but otherwise you're wasting your own and everyone elses time.

Wouldn't go out and fire 700$ per letter for my name and run through the gambit of changing my entire life documentation to then reach out and hope. Was just a thought and a giggle but I would actually do it for the right BTC... would sign anything to that effect.
