Because if it's a pure giveaway it's not a gambling website and if you have to pay to enter, it's not a giveaway. Corrent me if I'm wrong but from my understanding you would have to either change the post/title or post it in another section. On one hand, you uses "lottery" in the OP. On the other hand, you say "We are giving away our own money in Bitcoin prizes to promote MonetaryUnit and promote Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general." on his About us page (http://www.bitcoinprizedraw.com/aboutus/). Please edit the descriptions to make the message more clear. :) Title: Re: www.BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 0.8 BTC prizes to give away - coming soon Post by: Mue on November 18, 2014, 08:30:32 PM this is lottery right, not giveaway Of-course it is a lottery and there will be 200 participants max as suggested by OP and then they'll randomly chose 3 winners and most presumably there would a little fee to get an entry/ticket. Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: Mue on December 01, 2014, 08:43:27 AM How do we know that you won't run off with the money? It's really not worth killing the coin for 1btc is it?Why not answer the question correctly? In fact, I don't think there is a better answer. I can expand on it, but in a nutshell, that is the only answer people need to know, and anyone with any concerns, should take a moment to have a think about it. 1) We have no incentive to keep the MUE and the BTC. We have plenty of MUE in the pre-mine wallet for a start. 2) If we did keep the MUE & the BTC, this will be another scam coin, the MUE will have no value, so we couldn't sell it anyway. 3) For 1 BTC we will have killed a coin that I have personally invested at least $10,000 in, & hundreds of hours of work. So, if anyone asks themselves "How do we know they won't run off with that 1 BTC & the MUE", the answer really is "well, why would they"? If anyone has any concerns about the_prof, again, not an issue. Even if he did scam us 1) I would send an e-mail of me frowning VERY sternly at him! 2) I am the guarantor for this draw. No one will get scammed, I am the insurance fund, so you know where to come if anything goes wrong. I hope that makes sense, if any of it doesn't, take a moment to think on it, then fire me some questions, not a problem. Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: gkv9 on December 01, 2014, 02:11:35 PM Basically, if everyone would have calculated, every person here knows that they will currently be holding just 40% of the BTC1.
If you are thinking how, then below is the calculation: When you give 4k MUE, it costs you nearly BTC0.002 based on 1 MUE = 50 sats on some exchanges. So, 200 x 4000 (MUE) x 0.0000005 (BTC-MUE) = BTC0.4 But, if this is actually gonna work, then the things going on here are marvelous and I'm in if I'm assured that they are going to pay the winnings for sure. Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: Mue on December 01, 2014, 02:31:34 PM Basically, if everyone would have calculated, every person here knows that they will currently be holding just 40% of the BTC1. Yep, or also known as "This is costing me money to run"!!If you are thinking how, then below is the calculation: When you give 4k MUE, it costs you nearly BTC0.002 based on 1 MUE = 50 sats on some exchanges. So, 200 x 4000 (MUE) x 0.0000005 (BTC-MUE) = BTC0.4 But, if this is actually gonna work, then the things going on here are marvelous and I'm in if I'm assured that they are going to pay the winnings for sure. For sustainability I would love if in the coming months this will be able to pay for itself. It doesn't need to make anyone any money, but to be an ongoing fun project, it has to pay for itself. Hopefully, over time, it will, and I am willing to foot that bill initially, in the hope we can really get this to take off. I have a couple of people looking at automating a lot of the process, whilst still keeping the integrity of the publicly auditable results on Random.org and still having them completing the truly random draws, so the results are undisputable against the ledger of entrants. We will post the entrants list soon, probably once we hit the 50 tickets mark or so. Assuming the minimum entrants as per the OP are met, we WILL pay the winnings. As I said in the previous post, it is simply not worth losing all investment in this coin for 1 BTC..simply not worth it. I am totally committed to all aspects of the MUE project, and I guarantee the winnings will be paid. This one is a lot better than what you said first. The first reason was a good point, I wouldn't of argued with that. Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: The_Prof on December 02, 2014, 03:48:12 AM From my side:
As mentioned and worked out, on a full ticket sale I will only be holding enough for a value of up to 0.4 BTC. I have spent more than that myself on buying MUE. I would rather see a decent return on my investment in a year than take a big loss. Myself and the dev have spent plenty of time going back and forth working on the best way to do this in order for full transparency. As of yet, nobody who entered has asked to remain anonymous so everyone can see who purchased tickets later on before the draw. But basically in a nut shell, I have no desire to take some ones hard work and throw it in the mud, nor do I feel like a collection of rude emails and messages. Finally, and this is the most important, I don't want to receive a picture of the dev 'frowning VERY sternly at me' Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: Mue on December 02, 2014, 07:34:50 AM Here is my BTC wallet with the prize fund

That's great news, thanks The_Prof.At this rate I don't see any reason why this won't be a full prize give away. I'm going to look at doing some more promotion work on this in the coming days to hopefully generate even more interest :) Anyone involved, please feel free to promote this too, it's in everyones interest to get at least over 150 tickets sold, so we can assure the full prizes fund is given away, which is obviously my goal. You never know, there may even be some surprises in store too ;) Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: Mue on December 03, 2014, 04:30:02 PM I have bought 1 ticket. We have increased the total prize fund to 1.2 BTC and added a 4th & 5th prize too. So, this is what is on offer should all 200 tickets be sold; 1st Prize is: 0.6 BTC 2nd Prize is: 0.3 BTC 3rd Prize is: 0.15 BTC 4th Prize is: 0.1 BTC 5th Prize is: 0.05 BTC To put this in perspective. If you buy all 10 tickets one person can have allocated to them, you have a 25% chance of winning a prize. You do not get odds like that in a normal lottery. Even if you buy just one ticket, that is a 1 in 40 chance of winning a prize! Anyway, we hope you appreciate this effort, and we hope we can get all these tickets sold ASAP so we can get this draw done! Please spread the word and get more people involved! :) Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1.2 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: Convicted2008 on December 05, 2014, 02:05:40 AM Bump it up.

Yep :)The supplier of the proof of action campaign has let us down though unfortunately :( If ticket sales stay similar to what they are I'll have to reduce the prize fund by 50% as per the OP, but I think to be fair to those that have helped get this first draw off the ground we will refund half their MUE payment, without affecting their entries in any way. We'll see, maybe we'll have a last minute surge which would be good. Either way, we'll look after our supporters. I expect them to rise greatly in the coming weeks. The words getting out about MUE's 2 lotteries. More people are getting involved in mining as well. Can you please let me know where did you buy them and at how much sats? Also, please let me know that did you get all of your MUEs once in for all or you bought them in parts from different places/exchanges? @Mue, Can I directly buy MUEs from you here at the average price going on at your recommended exchanges? I think if you buy tickets for the next draw, the potential reward would be helping to get the draw to the max of 200 tickets, giving maximum prize fund. Benefits all right? Lets see how things progress, giving you free tickets doesn't sit right with me, however I'm sure we can work something out in the future :) Lolz, I only asked it based on curiosity... I don't want any free tickets, just asked whether I will get any reward or not for doing such activity... Else, you know that's human nature... :P Thanks though, I will try my level best to promote it... :) Please update when you will be starting your next draw? Also, please update your OP too regarding the future draw's dates... :) Will definitely shout loud and clear about the next draw when details are available. Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1.2 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: gkv9 on December 14, 2014, 04:06:41 AM Hi, there is a low sell order on AskCoin at the moment; https://askcoin.net/trading/MUE/BTC (https://askcoin.net/trading/MUE/BTC) I would prefer sales go through exchanges to help with volume and market cap. I would prefer to buy them if you confirm here that the draw is open now and it will be done 2 weeks after for sure, as you haven't yet clarified whether the 2nd draw is live or not... For now we have some admin tidying up to do. Anyone who entered the draw please contact The_Prof with your confirmed MUE wallet address for your 50% refund. I think we'll offer this refund until 20th December which is plenty of time for people to get in touch. There will be another draw, but give us a few weeks to get things organised. Can you announce about that funding publicly? I mean an ICO or IPO, whichever can support your projects the best? I think it's a good way you can reach many users here and share your views, ideas and projects with them, and if lucky, get funded too... ;) Cheers... & BTW, Happy New Year... I just want to get this new MUE wallet transition completed and settled so we can move forward confidently. There will be a second draw, just give me a little time (I also need to pay the credit card bills from Christmas shopping ;) ) Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 1.2 BTC in prizes to win - 200 ticket limit - OPEN NOW Post by: Mue on April 23, 2015, 10:23:56 PM So, who's interested in us running this again?
We're thinking a 3 BTC prize fund. 10 prizes. 50 tickets. 20,000 MUE per ticket. Thoughts? Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 3 BTC in prizes - 50 ticket limit - 15 prizes!? Post by: Mue on April 24, 2015, 12:12:15 PM Looking for feedback on this one.
We are looking to launch the second draw, so any thoughts would be appreciated :) Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 3 BTC in prizes - 50 ticket limit - 15 prizes!? Post by: bittamak on April 25, 2015, 09:46:40 AM Let's know when you start the 2nd one..
Title: Re: BitcoinPrizeDraw.com - 3 BTC in prizes Post by: bizzyb on August 06, 2015, 12:46:48 PM We're still here and thinking about the second draw.
Apologies for the delay, life has a way of getting in the way :) We're thinking something along these lines. What do people think? How about a 3 BTC prize fund 20 prizes 375 tickets 20,000 MUE per ticket max of 10 tickets per person prize break down would be in BTC 1 0.5 0.3 0.2 0.2 0.2 0.1 0.1 0.1 0.05 0.05 0.05 0.03 0.03 0.02 0.02 0.02 0.01 0.01 0.01 so 1 ticket has a 5% chance of winning a prize 10 tickets has over 50% chance of winning a prize The draw would be open until all tickets have been sold.
