The point of the coin is not to get some of those shitty anon features or some other imaginary ones that devs only hype but never deliver and anyway noone uses them but always asks for them. Its simple its just plain X11 coin that will be used as digital currency to buy merch from some metal stores and bands via our site/market.

Cool, the marketplace will definitely spice up things a bit  :) Would it be possible for you to give out some more info about the merchants and bands that will be offering their products on the Marketplace at launch? If you guys get this right, this coin could be going places  :)

I will have a line up with the bands by the end of the week, also some printscreens from the current marketplace completition process, as for the merchant, their name wont be listed on start, they don't want to get bad reputation if "things go bad" like they say so will only have their products listed, which on start will include: band shirts, guitar picks, CD and DVD collections

Yes i can, for start there will be shirts, guitar picks, cd's, dvd's from the merchant that accepted to work with us, also any band that wants to sell their merch will be able to join and sell it there and we will sell MetalCoin branded shirts, from which around 40%(depends on price and cots to make them) will go as reward in the band contests. But more details about that will be released after the marketplace is online(20th december)

I have friends in Slipknot and Korn and wouldnt mind telling them about this shit and trying to convince them to accept Metalcoin as payment on their websites or something but its going to have to be a whole lot more fuckin metal than what yall got going on here. right on, i was just fucking with you guys. but i was just talking with Mick from slipknot after a show in omaha a few weeks back about accepting darkcoin on their site. he seemed generally interested not just in drk but crypto in general. we are going to get together and talk more about it when they get back from tour. They would be the perfect band to be the first to accept crypto just because of how they are towards the entire fucked up way that things are in the world and the banking system in particular. Rock this shit out and maybe i will try and incorporate a discussion about metal coin as well. Most important keep everything above boards. From where we stand the horns will be included in the new design.

we had enough of this, i don't think this is going anywhere, you shoul try to add some new features, like mini block chain and stuff like that

why always try to add features to coins, what is the benefit of that, most features that new coins develop or claim they will are useless, why not make a coin that will be used somewhere and not just on exchanges for pump and dump. Do you see bitcoin adding all that crap to the wallet?

If you mean why is the price so low, then it might be because not much interest in coin so far, and its fairly a new coin, i started as coin dev on 8th, which is less than 2 weeks from now, and based on the fact i already delivered what i said and have many more ideas on how to make this coins useful, i think price will slowly start to pick up and interest to grow.

is there an incentive structure?

So far we have incentives for costumers in shop(no shipping fee first week, and latter some discounts) and for bands that join the Band Support Funding, there will be a voting after the initial join ends and first 5 bands will receive all the funds from the donation pot(1st place: 30%, 2nd place: 25%, 3rd place 20%, 4th place 15% and 5th place 10%).

How about the top donors for each band get a liner mention. Just thinking having something to show for the donations might incentivize more participation

or maybe on the album release or whatever the funds support...twitter mention, nothing too crazy...or very crazy!  There's a lot of room for creativity on this end I think.  It could be based on funds raised and the top donor gets the top band 'incentive' and down the line to #5.  Could create some fun competition on the donor side and everyone wins

Yea that sounds like a good idea, but will leave that for the second fundraiser, since there is not much time for this one to talk it over with bands and think it the right way, so i suppose firt one will more likely be a test to see if there will be interest on both side

Almost, wanted to make some redesign to the site so it took a bit more than i expected, but in progress so far i have updated the account system adding deposit and withdrawals, i am now nearly finished with the referral system and the gamble game, so will probably update site latter tonight, as for the browser game i will post details as soon as i get something real and worth of posting

Finally the new updates are online(1 day late)
new in this revision is full redesign of the account menu, now there is possibility to deposit and withdraw(needed for games), also added referral system so now you will earn 5% from the winnings on your referrals. We have a small probably fair gamble game Emos VS Metallers, check it out here http://metalmoshpit.net/games/emos-vs-metallers its pretty simple to play, in our next revision(in about 2 days) we will redesign the marketplace so you will be able to buy with deposited funds and there will be also referral commissions(you will earn 5% from your referral purchases) and will try to get some new and cheaper products. Yeah, its tisong slowly but steady, there are some possibilities of adding some new in wallet features, but will give more details on February 1st about what will be implemented and estimated time

not much from me, just congrats on getting added to cointopay , makes sense as I see you as perfect example to be used that way (+ merchants records studio etc etc)

you could maybe, reduce max # of coins, maybe, for long term impact

as far as wallet I like what Vericoin has done, please take a look, a nice professional dashboard (market data/update alterts etc) but not cluttered definitely adds value might be difficult to develop but do take a look for ideas...

if you really want to get strong, I would check darkcoin release notes it is probably strongest technically coin out there

would be great if you had a developer which you are but more centered around metal music/interest with very strong technical expertise, you will surprise market very fast  8) a niche believe HUGE potential exists untapped although you are heading in the right direction  (nieche but very good execution)

Procedure:

• Extract all the files in the zip.
• Run the MetalCoin .exe, leave the LAV filters and .msi alone.

• Let the rest of the installer finish and then run the program. You may see an error the first time but just close and reopen.

If you do want to build your own wallet the source on Github has been updated. The requirements are as follows:

• Qt 5.2.1+ for OSX/Linux
• Qt 5.3.2+ for Win

When you click on the radio tab and click play let it be for a while. It is preloading a bit of the audio, once it is finished it will start playing. Windows is the only platform which needs the extra LAV Codec.

Here's what we could do, I'll do a PICISI article that will involve METAL in the article I will mention the fact that you are a sponsor of the site, I'll focus most of the article on METAL.  In the article we will talk about the coin in general but spend most of the time talking about your plans for Metal at PICISI.  Who are the bands that you want to do crowdfunding campaigns for?  If you only have one in mind then we focus on that single band, if you have many of them then we mention all of them and only give one or two a extra attention.   In this way Metal is the star, PICISI is well positioned, and all of the bands are mentioned.  For the bands and fans of the bands it will be a prelude to the campaign to come.

I like the skeletal hand and the font, but the thorns don't sit right with me for some reason. I still think "\m/" could be worked into the logo, but that's just me.  Much improved over the old logo though..... by far!! \m/


EDIT: The reason I'm hung up on \m/ is because I think it perfectly represents the digital aspect of METAL. The musical aspect is already well represented in the new logo 8)

but the problem is to make it work with Metal
else it would be a normal site to bet money or BTC
i tried to get Metal on directbet.eu they are doing bet with other crypto
they responded that Metal has low market cap maybe they meant low daily exchange
i dunno.

 to make private bet with Metal coin would be good
it need some arbiter to make the game fair if possible
or waiting to make Metal coin use

Ok, here's a perfect opportunity to sponsor the band at a crowdfunding site that is not set-up for CC or targeted sponsorship.

Here are things you could do for the campaign:

1) ask if they will accept cryptocurrency donations, if they want it you could do it for them (I'll show you how)

Yes, it's good, then I see positive changes.

Lets try again:

MetalCoin has collected round of crowd funding at BitNodes.net so I am trying not to setup node, but daemon that I have compile do not get any connections, neither mac wallet which I also tried.
There must be some healthy wallet so please give me its IP address or if there is something I should know about the coin please let me know.
