Is it just me or are you taking out a bigger loan each time? For some reason this looks like you are trying to pull off a confidence scam

I offered the .4BTC to prove, that im not building this up for a scam or any nonsense that you are suggesting.

It looks like you are asking for a .8 BTC loan when using your account as collateral. This amount is significantly above the amount you borrowed last time, also using your account as collateral.

I can also find little/no reason as to why someone would possibly know the total amount of loans they need (when taking into consideration the amounts they plan on paying back to various lenders) as far ahead of time as you have done.

You obviously haven't read my original borrowing thread stating how much I need and why.
This is the last phase of the loan and I stated again, a .4BTC no collateral option is available if you believe the .8BTC is to much for my account and/or think I'm confidence scamming.

My previous loan has been repaid.
Because the interest was earned, development fees were paid and I bed more funds to continue with the development of the project. He was promised 7 days interest, that's what he got. I would rather return a day or so early than right on the fine line.

That's a mistake on your part redsn0w.. Whenever you escrow an account (or anything) you must ensure it is in your FULL control.

This includes entering a valid email which you control.

Repay the loan now , it is the unique solution that you have.

I think it was a random email , so I didn't change it ( this is the first time) the other times I've always changed it.

Moreia, why are you asking for more loan? I thought that 0.8 BTC was to be your final?
If you paid that back within a few hours, why did you take the loan and thus losing the interest, and then asking for more loan?

For all those who are confused, I received a message asking for loan with account as collateral. I think this is as transparent a case as it can get, and I had PMed lihuajkl to be careful.

It was involuntary I've always changed all  ( forum question , email and obviously the password) , but he said :

Wait wait , let me send him an email on his email address.... I want to see if he is the real "moreia".

Called this dude out as a scammer yesterday when posted this, knew my beliefs about him were right...let's see how this plays out.

How does it matter? The account should be in your control.

You were the escrow and you did blunder when you did not changed email of that account. Lender will lose his fund because of your mistake.

No, lender has not received his bitcoins. 0.80 BTC principal + 0.08 interest is due in 6 days however the collateral, his forum account has been either hacked by someone else or by the OP (moreia) through the email that was linked to his account.

Yeah that might an issue..not sure how he will handle that. I would eat the .8 if I were the escrow...exactly why I avoid escrowing. Hope this all works out, but seems the collateral is now gone  :-\

I think it's an expensive mistake Redsn0w made. He should be more careful with people's accounts, but I'm sure he learned his lesson. Always change the email when holding a bitcointalk account as collateral. It's very easy to regain access to an account with your own email but different password.

Btw, Moreia's trying to add a tip on the iceberg by selling his account  :D, like anyone still wants to buy his worthless account.

This should underscore why forum accounts as collateral are worthless.

It's really quite simple: lihuajkl gets moreia's account. Once he verifies control of the account, I'll remove my negative Trust. He felt the account was worth lending 0.8 BTC for, so to the victor go the spoils. redsn0w merely held the account to ensure that the lender didn't take total control of it and bail without giving the loan.

I say we get moreia's account unbanned and hand it over to lihuajkl. I'll remove my negative Trust at that point, and if we can get it cleared of all the trusted red, it's actually not a bad deal for an aged account like that.

I was quickly and I've changed the password , forum question and email of his account (thanks @niktitan132).  Now I would like to ask the staff members if them can unBan the forum account so lihuajkl can recover at least a part of the amount ( and obviously I will remove the negative feedback).

You probably shouldn't have a password reset question at all (you can just leave it blank).

Moderators tend to not get involved in these kinds of disputes. There was a thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=753608.0) several months ago when another lender loaned bitcoin to people with the accounts as collateral without actually taking control of the accounts, and wanted the mods to give him control of the accounts. The moderators did not appear to want to do this. Although an exception may be made in this case as we are talking about a ban verses ownership.

I would say that in order for redsn0w's escrow obligations to be fulfilled to lihuajkl either .88 needs to be sent to lihuajkl (unlikely at this point - at least not from Moreia) or the Moreia account be delivered to lihuajkl in the same condition that it was in when it was put into escrow (e.g. no additional negative trust and not banned). Although it is possible for either to happen because of actions of the previous owner of the account (prior to the account going into escrow) this is clearly not the case.

Now I have the account , I'm really disappointed this is a very bad situation only for a mistake of random letters in the email address. Maybe the staff members can unBan the forum account and I can send it to lihuajkl if the loan will not be repaid.

moreia_alt has posted claiming to have never been online since he gave up control of his account. Unless you are infected with malware the only two scenarios are that either moreia_alt was posting from his 'main' account and came back once he got banned to claim innocence or you decided to troll with the account. Based on how much he appears to have tried to damage your reputation I somewhat doubt the latter.

This very much does look like a confidence scam to me (with a very interesting twist) but I would say the chances of repayment is going to be something greater then 0 (although still very far from 100%)

I do not trust anything that "Moreia" says.

But I agree that cleaning up the account and unban whould be the best outcome of this situation.
This is the only way redsn0w can live up to his escrow obligations, since this account will eventually have to be transferred to lihuajkl.

Moreia will not pay, one time scammer, always a scammer.

I am not sure what to make of all this. I never trusted Moreia and still think this is the last of his confidence loans and will not repay this loan. It is possible that he is using these loans to build up trust for a bigger scam.

I would say that redsn0w has been added as someone who I would not deem trustworthy, nor would I trust to escrow a transaction.

Just wanted to check in with the lender and escrow that everything is going as planned on my end, 3 days left until the loan is due and a possibility it will be repaid on within 48 hours :)
