I don't see that first 50 blocks being an issue. However it would be nice to get a 2nd or 3rd pool since this is a legitimate coin. Even PayCon has a couple pools now. I'm mining both!

Hi, there was'nt a premine in src. The mining was done after launch in twitter, but here I failed with the announcement / pool  post for some minutes.
I own that address and we can use these coins for faucet.

Fair enough. The original post here did have broken links for a few minutes, this was then fixed. If you want to donate to faucet or not is your call. I dont see an issue with it either way, its a very small amount.

Hi, I have spoken with coin-swap and they want 0.3btc for month after that maybe free, but I think we don't need to pay for a service of what they will earn a comission anyway. Lets see and find more service providers.

At first it's planned as basic coin, see and learn how it all works out.
There are bigger plans, but it's a bit early to talk about.

Don't know why the rig I rented kept disconnecting.  I pointed 255Mh and didn't work.  Switched to supernova and worked right away.

Just my 2 cents:

Most probably (99% probability) the problem is in low difficulty offered by the pool. I tested your pool using nicehash 'Pool verificator', and it told me "Pool difficulty too low (provided=32.0, minimum=128.0)". So your pool's starting difficulty is not 1024, but just 32, which is not rejected by high power rigs.
If you want people be able to use rented power on your pool, you need to correct this.

i dont get these exchanges, yeah we want 3 btc to list your coin...and then we get fees too? wtf man if we pay 3 btc then fuck off on the fees or vice versa. greedy fuckers.

It's not just the exchanges. I was doing PR for another coin a few months back when I discovered that many of the leading crypto websites charge an "advertising fee" to write an article about your coin. It can be very difficult to get anybody to write anything about a coin without paying this fee.

We refused to pay, and it took quite a while before people became interested in the coin. Of course, after we were getting a lot of volume on Bittrex and MintPal, they were all writing about us for free, but in the beginning it can be difficult.

Biggest exchanges will give you something much more, cheated buyout at the beginning, fake volume for some time and buy low/sell pricy bots.
At the end they say that there is a lack of interest.
Your coin will be delisted.

I knew that the system is rotten and unfair but that much  :o .... getting into to bigger/better/rotten exchanges is not priority anymore.
We have enough tools to work with.

With the difficulty as low as it is, even 2.5 mh/s can be quite effective.

Correct. Spend some time on it an accumulate some Gems, just in case it is suddenly listed on a major exchange.
And even then, hold on a while longer, just in case it is suddenly pumped.  ;)

yeah this coin needs some good public relations.
Wish I had experience in this department, but sadly do not. Been throwing some hash at this coin. Hopefully it will pay off! Even a small amount of hash on this coin with the diff this low can get you a lot.

It looks like 80%, and sometimes more, of the miners are at one pool. There are three pools listed in the OP. It's better for the coin if we spread the hash power around. It's never good when any part of the process is all in one person's hands. Please help decentralize the mining process and use all three mining pools.

Hi, I have been thinking about what would be the next steps of Digigems and here are some of my thoughts:

*We need to create a management of Digigems.
This needs to be a fair and transparent management, so I am thinking that ANYBODY can join and able to give a hand or express his / her toughts.
But it needs to be contained somehow for keeping it healthy for making decisions and execute them.
Like 25 people with equivalent vote. And for others there will be development,  management and advertisement topics in forum (what I can set up).

*We need to think that how will the voting and other management tasks work… gdrive or any other service?

*MAIN GOAL - We need to associate Digigems with a GAME / GAMES, like mmrpg or other games that use coins / gems for in app purchases or dealing game inventory on some site… like auction site. Presumably we need to create a application layer between Digigems and apps or modify wallets to support that.

We need to collect donations… bounty needs to be set. The bigger the better. We need that for our goals.


Any other toughts / goals?

I do understand what you are asking for, but it doesn't look like we will be getting a whitepaper, road map and some of the other things that SOME of the other coins give you. Quite frankly, most of that stuff is nothing more than soothing words (and diagrams) and are rarely followed.

The dev could spend a few hours writing a whitepaper and post a road map, but what good is that really going to do other than keeping us from whining about a lack of progress. It's ironic. We want a decentralized currency, yet WE are the ones that keep crypto as centralized as any fiat currency by insisting that the developer exercise full control of the coin while holding our hands and guiding us along the way.

I saw you were looking at game engines.  Not really sure how games fit into this specific coin given the name (unless you do an MMO and ONLY MMOs or that game where you shoot gems at other gems) but the unreal engine was just released open source.  It would be a first for a crypto to be integrated into a game with a real engine.

this coin is perfect for a candy crush ripoff where you hit dgms and actually can get btc (or dgms whatever you prefer) seems like a simple type of game to do compared to an mmo or whatever else. Or make a trading bot like qtl trader or something. you have to get creative these days if you want a good coin.

Binpool also is not working - no announcement (just because not everyone is as responsible as ocminer), but the stratum is down on dgms.binpool.com.
Lifeforce pool shows a warning about issues in the backend (probably still works, but needs to be tested). Only iSpace seems to work for now when dgms.suprnova.cc closes down...

I had no miners / blocks there for some time, an automatic cronjob then sends me a Mail that a pool is idle for some time.

If you want to mine i will leave it up and running for you, no Problem ;)

That is strange - the last block found on Suprnova was 03/31/2015 03:29:11 - today, and I was mining there yesterday too...

Yes, very strange and unexplainable pick up in hashrate. Those people who mine it, mine at a loss, as they can buy the coins at exchange much cheaper than their cost of mining. Everything above 10Mhs is just simple wasting of resources considering the current price.

Well, the blockchain is moving just fine. Someone still mines this coin somewhere, maybe on private pool or solo.

Would be nice to recover the pools anyway. OC has put pool closure announcement on his pool (dunno why :)). Binpool just closed pool and web-interface without announcement, and misappropriated (better to tell - stole) all coins kept there, that is kinda normal for that pool. No wonder its owner always moans on BCT threads asking miners to come to his pool.

I was mining on Lifeforce few days ago, but now the stratum is down there by some reason. They had no announcement, so I suppose just the pool needs to be restarted to be up again. Who is the representative of Lifeforce pool on BCT?

It is a pity all Lifeforce pools close. That was a good pool, and it is pity it was abandoned to create another multipool. Smarterhash.com has now most of the coins Lifeforce had, but not all of them, and Digigems are obviously missing...

So what now..? Should we just mine this coin solo? Or maybe OC will bring back the Suprnova? Would be nice to listen some solution from jarno...

We can ask some pool owners to add the DGMS. Aikapool, for example is a great pool, Hashlink.eu has very good support. There are other good pools too. OC might want to bring Suprnova back up... if we show him some reason to do so. BTW, the blockchain is alive and moving, regardless of the absence of pools.

Ya I just resynced my wallet last night to see if the chain was still moving and there still seems to be people mining this coin probably solo.  I don't know if the Dev or whatever is still doing things with this coin or if it has been abandoned though? Any thoughts?

Dead & buried I guess. I got 500k of this coin early on. Had hoped for some early development. But that is the general response from the Dev. Sounds like 90% of the other dead coins out there. Only coins really doing well are ones where Dev is active. Oh well...I hope to hear good things about this coin in the future.

Someone is still mining this coin, but there is something I don't completely understand - according to block explorer each block goes to a different address, like if each time the miner generates a new address to resolve a block.. What that could be?

Typically when someone mines solo, all coins are going to a single address, so I am unsure what kind of setup should the miner have, for each block to go to new generated address..?  ???

Hi, I think 99.9% of crypto is scam... If it seams legit, IPO's, Stock's and other fancy things, then at some point people realize that it's still a scam. I don't like the altcoin scene much. Digigems will be useful only and only then if there is a real dev onboard(I'm a noob) who could write some unique code or a game that uses Digigems. Somebody interested? Let me know.

I added them to the conf file but now I figure out that the conf file should be placed in the AppData/...>Digigems folder.
And now finally I got 4 active connections and wallet is slowly syncing up.
