The message verified. However the post was from only a ~week ago, so who knows.

A lot of accounts with GMX email addresses attached to them have been hacked recently. I sent a suggestion to theymos as to how this could be prevented when I let him know that akka's account was hacked (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=917636.0) however it doesn't appear it has been implemented nor have I heard back from him about it.

Iron was in control of his account at the time the pictures were posted as he is in possession of the coin in the photos and nobody else could have taken those photos.

Not likely, The real IronMarvel now IM2 caught the hacking of his account quickly as he was online and active on the forum when it happened. When the hacker new he got busted, he figured he would have his fun quickly since it was going to end soon. That message was not the only crazy message sent from that account after it got called out. I have done 11BTC worth of business with Iron and been in communication for well over a month. Irons' English is far better than the hackers and it is easy to spot the difference when you have communicated with him several times. The piss poor English is what gave it away for me when i saw that, and the messages i got from that account.

No, Iam not trying to scam!!! I posted that my account got hacked within minutes, to warn other people.
I asked WoodCollector to confirm, that I was in control of my account when I posted the pictures of my new wooden coin, to proof, that I was in control when I posted on an secure address thread a week ago.

Actually I called it. Check again. I do a better job calling out people in my couple weeks here then you all do.

Also - quickseller, a guy who popped up about 6 months ago randomly just selling accounts and knowing a lot about the forum in great detail and now on the DEFAULT TRUST LIST. Obvious, your main account is one that is close to the admin and is a staff/mod here since you're now suddenly on the default trust list. Again special privileges given out and lies made (saying you aren't a mod, staff or anything related a couple months back).

Well I guess I kind of assumed that since you posted your claim so quickly and that I had never seen you in the lending section before (I now know you "calling it" was your first post in the lending thread) that you were just trolling. I also noticed that you were able to determine a lot of information about his trade history very quickly - in only 5 minutes. It was almost as if you were expecting him to make a scammy post. Let me guess, are you an alt of Spodermen?
First I would like to thank you because I take your statement as a compliment. Do you have any proof that I am a mod/staff? Are all the other accounts on default trust list also staff/mods? if not then how do you make the connection?

I also take the trolling as a compliment as it shows that I was able to prevent people from scamming ;)

My post was serious, I follow this forum very closely. I have PMed Tomatocage many names to red flag over the past 2 years. Not a scammer and Spoderman has not been around this place as long as I have been. Just look at the Kruniac scam I was able to piece together (same guy, new account) last night.

Well I, like the scammer am very curious to know what your "real" account is. I really have never understood the point of creating a new account just to call out scams anyway

For anyone thinking of faking their own hacking or getting any ideas, if your account is hacked and used to scam you're responsible for paying the victims back.

Dont know why you write this in my thread, but luckily nobody was scamed with my account.

You probably won't ever get a reply. Best option is to make a new account, occasionally spam him though and if you're lucky you'll get his attention. Try BadBear too.

Perhaps theymos has been busy and will get around to looking into it soon. I can vouch for IronMarvel that his account has been hacked as I've had communication with him through the new IronMarvel2 account and its definitely the same person.

It seems silly to me that only theymos that can look into hacked accounts and reset passwords, surely all he has to do is grant the same administrative permissions to some moderators and let them help out.

I know a few years ago when I ran a forum (not bitcoin related but in my industry) I had several moderators / administrators that could do this because it can be time consuming looking through each individual case.

While PGP is better, how many people go around posting their PGP key?

Whereas most people involved in trade have posted an address for payment somewhere which can be used to sign a message to prove ownership of the address and in most cases the account as well so long as it was posted prior to the alleged hack.

Why are you dummies even doing trades anything without first establishing GPG identities!? You want to know how many people already do this? Check out #bitcoin-assets (http://wiki.bitcoin-assets.com/wot_and_reputation). Not a huge number of people, but they are much higher quality.

Good luck getting a response from Theymos. I'm in a similar boat and have been PM'ing him with two signed btc address associated with my original account for several months now; no response.

This is what happens when there's no email confirmation when changing critical account details and only the forum admin can do account recovery.

Its crazy only theymos can recover lost / hacked accounts. He should give the responsibility to someone else because it looks like he's either too busy or cant be bothered anymore.

At this point, I would honestly just give up and start building a new account. If theymos has not responded yet then he likely is not going to (although your request may have slipped through the cracks and he may respond to a further PM)

Seeing as this isn't being sorted out I've left you positive feedback for our trade on this new account. It must be very frustrating for you being an established active member to not have this looked into.

I would recommend that everyone makes sure their password is very secure because if you do get hacked there's a good chance you wont get any help to recover it.

If you can prove easily that account is yours , in less than 1-2 days theymos will recover the account ( like the Akka situation).

Unfortunately this hasn't been the case for IronMarvel.

Nor for me. I mean Theymos can easily check the IP used to log into both accounts, couple that with valid btc signatures, I mean what most straight-forward supporting evidence do you even need?

3. I bought a lot of numbered physical bitcoins from other members. I can show pictures that I have them.

I pm'd theymos a couple times with the template he posted in the "recovering hacked accounts" thread.
I dont know why he is not responding?!? What did I do to you?
Is that the way this forum handles thieves and scammers? They get away with it?
I have been an honest member of this forum and just ask for a little help.

At the end I've also removed the negative feedback, now search to "rise" your security (use a strong password and check your pc).
