I think the best way to learn would be trying to build something and asking at beginners & help whenever u r stuck... Write code yes, but dont ask in beginners and help. While there are some good answers there is also plenty spam and crap. Ask in tech support (if its about QT/Core) or in dev & tech discussions (if its about the protocol).
