Title: Need a 0.060 BTC Loan
Post by: russianptr on January 20, 2015, 11:59:41 AM
Hey guys,

I need a 0.060 BTC Loan.

Terms:
  • amount: 0.060 BTC
  • duration: 6 days
  • interest: 20 %

BTC address: 134wtUKt11PCDVoQwhVbSnzCR9UQ5oGppV

I will buy the BTC to pay you back.
(you only have the counterparty risk of dealing with me,
but no risk if my investment goes belly up, because IŽll buy the
BTC anyway)

If youŽve got any questions, lmk.

in a usual loan you have 2 risks:
-the lender disappearing with the BTC
-the lender doesnŽt want to disappear with your BTC and is honest, but canŽt pay you back anyway because he loses the loan amount

In my loan at least the second risk is eliminated because I am going to buy BTC regardless of what happens with the 60 mBTC I get from you or someone
different.

But of course you still have to trust me regarding the first point, that IŽm honest and intend to pay you back.

Hope you understand what I want to say  ;)

Wait so there is no collateral?

I can give you this loan.

However, I will need to hold your bitcointalk.org account as collateral.

And I will need you to prove the account isn't hacked by signing the following message with this Bitcoin address: 1BVeSTQzSvf7D9NJVmtLKvLjUZnwtSiDih

"Today's date is January 20th 2015, and I am in control of the bitcointalk.org account russianptr. The account has not been sold or compromised and I am willing to use it as collateral for a loan."

Instructions on how to do this here: http://blog.anonymousads.com/2014/03/new-feature-sign-in-with-your-bitcoin.html

You posted this Bitcoin address here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829497.msg9380635#msg9380635 I need you to sign this message to prove the account isn't hacked and you are the original owner.

Once you sign the message, you will need to PM me your bitcointalk.org password, or give it to a third party escrow if you do not trust me (we will have to choose an escrow we both trust). Once I or an escrow has control of the account, I will fund the loan in full, and once it is paid back in full you will be given back the account.

Loan details are as follows:
Total loan amount: 0.06BTC
Total amount to be paid back: 0.072BTC
Due date: 27th January 2015
Repayment address: to be provided later in a PGP signed message

this is indeed a brilliant way  ;)

Thank you!

So I use electrum and I signed the message with the address you requested and get the following output:
G1ByohlOd0e433u6BkFj3IrqilwhfkxxjOd5Sz4Rjfh1CPBR6ewjStMZGNjx/DpdWNKZVpYRilZpPaTQSYQnx/0=

Is this enough or how do I make it appear on the blockchain?

this is how it looks for me:

sent you my account details.
Do I need to contact you to get my account back after repayment? Or will you simply change
back the password to the password I supplied you with after you the repayment in your wallet?

I didn't think about that. I guess I will change it back to that password, thogu thats probably not the best way to do it. Feel free to email me blazr (@) blazrnet.com or you can create a new account to post if you need to contact me.

Tried to fit a signature in it, couldn't get it to, so just placed an unsigned message with link to this thread. If this loan goes good I may give out more loans to others but I'll need to work out a better workflow than this! :)

Is there some problem with the URL? Link isn't working for me. Try:

Code:
[url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=930647.0][b]This account is being used as collateral for a loan and is currently under the control of Blazr.[/b][/url]

Well looks like it's overdue :( quite sad because the account can earn 0.035BTC/week from bitmixer signature campaign, so the account is clearly worth more than 0.072BTC. OP got a bad deal here. he could've probably sold it for more.

The loan repayment will be fixed at 0.072BTC or $17 worth of BTC, whichever is greater. I'll hold onto the account for now as I don't like the idea of selling it or using it. I guess if OP doesn't buy it back I'll just abandon it.

Kinda sucks to see that anyone would just run away with such small amounts. Really deters me from wanting to give out loans to anyone. Hope he does come back though and repay the loan.

If OP doesn't get back, it means that you buy full member account with BTC 0.06.
That's very cheap for my opinion.

Just abandon it ?
Better use it  ;D

He is clearly against the use of sockpuppet accounts and against the sale of accounts. It would be in the OP's best interest to repay Blazr as he can easily earn more then the amount due on the loan via a signature campaign or from selling his account.

If I had to guess I would say this was a gambling loan, and based on the lack of repayment I think it is safe to say the result of his gambling strategy  :-[

damn, .06 for a F.Member account thats a nice catch there you can have an ROI in just 2 week.

Lol IKR! I didn't expect this to happen. If I use the account it'll make me a sockpuppeting sig spammer. I don't want to be a sockpuppeting sig spammer. we got enough of those here already.  I'll just leave the account idle unless OP shows up out of nowhere to buy it back. Oh well only 0.06BTC anyway :D

He said above that he would abandon the account until the previous owner comes back to claim it. He stated that the repayment amount is fixed at .072 or $17, whichever is greater. This was said in the post you quoted.
