hahahahha. what joke. Kraken CEO wants to earn popularity. MT Gox money are GONE for good. How can someone believe that you will ever see any money back?

What was Mt Gox? a centralized exchanger. who are you? a libertarian, right?  Why did you use a centralized exchanger? :)

And where will the money for compensation come from? Or it is just merely aiding and providing input and information on what happened.

At no time did he say that creditors were going to get all their money back. He only said that he believed that there would be resolution and that they would get paid in 2015. Also, not all the Mt. Gox assets disappeared. Creditors could get 25% maybe.

But is he funding it himself ?

as if this has to be stated again ... mtgox used a *billion* fake non-existent dollars to steal 650,000 bitcoin from everyone who was trading on their exchange which was at the time was the world's most high volume exchange and go to exchange for many ... and in the process drove the "real" price from a stableish +-100 to the highs of 1200s ... the notion that anyone will be paid back is ridiculous unless karpeles is jailed and waterb ... er interrogated ...

? Nope, Kraken were appointed to assist with the bankruptcy process, that's all.

So whatever assets are left from Mt Gox will be divided among all the creditors. So basically, people will be compensated, but not fully.

 

My guess: The fatso hasnt cashed out any of the stolen btc. He would have left money trail to incriminate himself. Beside the fatso doesnt have deep connection in fiat banking world to pull a perfect laundering fiat plan.

I 100% agree why the hell are you keeping so much on an exchange.. that is asking them to run a fractional reserve on your ass.

They would probably get somewhat more then that. There are a number of gox accounts without a RL identity attached to them, making it very difficult for account holders to prove ownership. This will likely result in most of these accounts not having claims against Gox
