as if this has to be stated again ... mtgox used a *billion* fake non-existent dollars to steal 650,000 bitcoin from everyone who was trading on their exchange which was at the time was the world's most high volume exchange and go to exchange for many ... and in the process drove the "real" price from a stableish +-100 to the highs of 1200s ... the notion that anyone will be paid back is ridiculous unless karpeles is jailed and waterb ... er interrogated ...

? Nope, Kraken were appointed to assist with the bankruptcy process, that's all.

So whatever assets are left from Mt Gox will be divided among all the creditors. So basically, people will be compensated, but not fully.

They would probably get somewhat more then that. There are a number of gox accounts without a RL identity attached to them, making it very difficult for account holders to prove ownership. This will likely result in most of these accounts not having claims against Gox
