$30 is a little less than 1/8 of a bitcoin.  For that small of an amount you could use PayPal and go to virwox.com to purchase second life linders and then convert the linders to btc.  But you'll lose a few bucks to fees/arbitrage variance.  So for $30 you might get between $25-$28 in btc.

Is there any other way to get it so I can get the whole $30 and have it go into my wallet?

To check bitcoin price use preev.com. This way you can easily check by putting in amounts and it auto calculates it.
As for buying them try localbitcoins or something?

(30) / (current price) should give you how much you want, fastest way to get them is buy them at an exchange; coinbase does instant for credit card purchases

http://preev.com/ , check this website for the BTC price .
You can easily buy some BTC from users here on "Currency Exchange" with whatever payment method you want to use or buy from exchange websites like bitsmap , bit-x , etc ... ;D
If you don't want spend any money then Signature compaigns are the best for you , they do pay some money but since you are Newbie Rank you won't really find anything

Sell your signature line on every post you make in this form as advertising for a bitcoin company. As you post they pay you and it goes directly into whatever wallet you use. When you're a Newbie it doesn't pay much (but it's something) and once you've been on the forum, posting, for a bit the pay will go up. See the link below for a summary of ad campaigns.

If you don't want to work for it, either exchange some goods for it or currency equivalent to $30. There's no magic way of getting money.

Fastest way is to work, get salary, buy from exchanges. Mining is too slow unless you have tremendous capital. Faucets actually pay much lesser than you may think.

You can check https://bit-x.com/ and they have a lot of Withraw & deposit methods that other exchange websites dosen't have .
Here is their official announcement thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=874312.0 , if you have any questions , you should ask there and I'am pretty sure you will get an answer :)

"In the US, Coinbase, Circle, Trucoin and coin.mx all now offer purchases with cards. Bittylicious and CoinCorner also offer this service in the UK, accepting 3D Secure-enabled cards on the Visa and MasterCard networks. For small amounts of bitcoin, you can use a card to buy $20-worth at Tinkercoin."
-Source: coindesk
Here's one of them: https://www.coinbase.com/
Could be a hassle getting all the identification and account sorted up and authenticated though. if you do try any of them, try to read a few of the important terms before purchasing.

How many bitcoins is $30? What's the fastest way to get them besides of doing some kind of work, etc?
Offering goods in exchange for bitcoins. Fastest without "work" would be buying them with fiat I guess. 30$ now would be ~0.128. You can check preev.com for that.

If you don't want to go through long wait just to get your fund to bank and then transfer to exchangers, you can actually opt for localbitcoin. Depends on where you are from, there are quite a lot of sellers who offer quite competitive price. Right now, for 100 bucks, you can at least get somewhere almost close to half a unit of bitcoin.

The most effective and fast method is to buy them.
The least one is join some sig camp here
Third one go for some free giveaway of faucets. May you will be able to make that 30$.
If you are a developer or designer go in service section and get some job.

Was gonna suggest the same thing. localbitcoin is probably your best bet, use the site's escrow and a trusted user and everything should go without a hitch.

How many bitcoins is $30? What's the fastest way to get them besides of doing some kind of work, etc?

For me $30 is 0,001BTC
Other people think it is cheaper, but I disagree.

Stop looking at the exchange price and determine the price for yourself.
Looking at the exchange rate all the time will make you buy high and sell low.

You really think bitcoin will reach 30k? That's a little bit optimistic isn't it? Max 3k could be the real value i think and it's a lil optimistic also.

Value is always relative. So it wouldn't be wise to fix a price for bitcoin on your own, especially if you are looking to spend them. But personally, i like that you think bitcoin in itself has a somewhat isolated value :)

Yes, I said "for me".
That's why my asks are set way up.
I know a lot of people who agree.
Other people however, think it's the opposite and are selling their bitcoin right know to come the conclusion that they were stupid when bitcoin reach 1000 again ;D
But it is all personal opinion.
Good luck warrior!

Faucets are okay but in the end you only end up with few cents for all the work you put into them.

Joining a sig campaign is a far better way than using faucets.
As a newbie member, you can get 0.000055 per post, and the payment rate will be higher and higher as your account rank improves.

It depends on your viewpoint I guess. I heard from a guy here that faucets used to give out whole bitcoins in 2009-2010. If you believe bitcoin will get to $1000 or even $10,000, your faucet work today might profit you one day. Provided that you're prepared to hodl for a long time. Or maybe you could gamble your faucet profits with sites in the Gambling section. At least if you lose, you don't lose much.

Once upon a time, you can get 5 btc per claim on Gavin's faucet. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=183
But don't forget you could easily solo-mine bitcoin with a CPU back then. :D

I agrees but, personally, I enjoy reading what other posters have to have to say. For me that's the only way I can learn the ins and outs of things. Those with the knowledge of whatever subject  one wishes to learn should be the first people one turns to. At least that's the way I feel.

Sig campaings are the way to go, they dont pay much unfortunately but you just post regularly and get a bit of sats which is better than a faucet. Then you can use these in gambling and pray that you make it big sometime.

I'm waiting until I'm not a newbie to do that.

$0.01 is impossible at current difficulty. Even if demand reduces to 2010/2009 level, or whatever time the price was 0.01

so 1bitcoin at a price of $ 200-300 it is relatively cheap?
possible will return to $ 1,000 or more
relatively cheap with price like 1000$ but what about old price like 0,01$? ;)

$0.01 is impossible at current difficulty. Even if demand reduces to 2010/2009 level, or whatever time the price was 0.01

What is the lowest possible price at current difficulty? ???

Make sure you are always watching market price. You probably already know that Bitcoin is very volatile.

How many bitcoins is $30? What's the fastest way to get them besides of doing some kind of work, etc?

$30 is a little less than 1/8 of a bitcoin.  For that small of an amount you could use PayPal and go to virwox.com to purchase second life linders and then convert the linders to btc.  But you'll lose a few bucks to fees/arbitrage variance.  So for $30 you might get between $25-$28 in btc.

Is there any other way to get it so I can get the whole $30 and have it go into my wallet?

Might want to check out localbitcoins.com or post in the Currency Exchange subforum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0)

Word of advice though - use an escrow service (there are a number of trusted users on the forum that act as escrow). It
protects both you and the person selling the you the bitcoin.
