I really hope Filipinos could follow through.

Another good news is this:

Filipinos Can Now Send Money Back Home Through Rebit
http://bitforum.info/t/filipinos-can-now-send-money-back-home-through-rebit/220?u=angelo

Seriously, they should be looking more on digital currency than their traditional remittance company.
Imagine how this could change remittances sent to the Philippines.

Well bitcoin seems to have caught hold in the Philippines. They do have a lot of bitcoin-related services. Wish the rest of the world could be as accepting as them towards bitcoin. Definitely a positive lean on bitcoin.

Well bitcoin seems to have caught hold in the Philippines. They do have a lot of bitcoin-related services. Wish the rest of the world could be as accepting as them towards bitcoin. Definitely a positive lean on bitcoin.

I would love to see where all this hype is coming from.

I live here, I am a member of many MANY Philippines Bitcoin and crypto related facebook groups. I have met a lot of so called bitcoin investors. For me I see no real interest in the people here. I see no real involvement and I sure dont see any of these bitcoin-related services. I see very very few miners and I have one of the largest bitcoin mining farms in the Philippines and it is tiny compared to most western farms.

I cant even organize these people  to come together as a group and help progress themselves as bitcoiners and investors. From my experience most of the investors I have met, got in when the coins were super cheap and just want to be bagholders. I see most of them are doing anything and everything free they can to obtain bitcoins right now, but want no part in a real investment, Like a bitcoin mining pool for the Philippines that is solar powered, Or a bitcoin cloud mining operation that is solar powered.I have mentioned these and other progressive ideas to many of the investors that said they were big holders of bitcoins.

Their internet sucks holding all of us back from any of those opportunities. For faucets, and anything related like that we have to fight each other, meaning if me and my neighbor do the same faucet and he does the faucet before me, I incur his wait time on my account, Or he is a member of a site that has a one per household limit I can not join in, because they have what is called shared internet service.  Not to mention all of the ISP providers customer IPS as well as server IPs are blacklisted making it impossible to even get accounts with a lot of the income generating avenues Bitcoin offers.

The Filipinos that do seem genuinely interested are mostly OFWs or people who are Filipino but do not live here anymore looking for good opportunities to help their families back here.

I will say coins.ph is one of the leaders in the bitcoin revolution over here and have tried a few times to get me to utilize thier service however I am a local bitcoins man, I have been with them from the beginning and as of right now have no intentions on changing.

I have actually stopped dealing with the Philippines investors due to their lack of true interest, their embellishing of their true invested amounts, and just the things most of them have told me that were simply lip service or empty promises. I have connected with investors from Viet Nam instead. and we are progressing very promising projects right now. It is sad the Filipino people have a lot to benefit from Bitcoins and the crypto community, but the reality is they neither see the benefits nor have a real want to get involved unless it is free. They have the misunderstanding that in business you never have to spend money to make money, and they cant see past the hand in front of their face. A lot of them are looking for a quick payout, and overnight quadruple their money ordeal and dont seem to realize that train long passed us a couple years ago.

It really is sad how hard i worked, how many people I met and how little involved they really wanted to be. It is even more sad that i know how much an investor can profit from some of the programs we have in mind, and last but not least it is most sad that i had to go out of the country where I live to find true investors who gave me more than lip service and empty promises.

Hello, I have began reading into Bitcoin mining for over a month now. I have tried to research many things to find the best way to build a good computer to accomplish successful mining. Ordering the good mining equipment would be very problematic because I live in the Philippines right now. Getting all that nice equipment would be very hard here. So i must settle to try this with the use of computers and their hardware available to me.

Allow me to go over my situation, I have an empty building I would like to dedicate to mining. I can have computers built to my specs. I would like to join a successful pool that I can contribute my hardware as an asset rather than just an addition.

Questions I have,

How many computers will I need to successfully make a nice profit? Electricity is not a problem as far as costs go. Very inexpensive here.

Can I use the force of 4 or more computers as one merged unit or must I register them all as separate workers.
If I can use them as a merged effort on my end which way is actually more profitable, to use them separate or merge them together as one force?
How should I build these computers.

Things I had in mind, I would like to use
ASUS F1 A55-M LX3 R2.0 mother board
AMD A8  radeon processor with
2 AMD Radeon graphics cards, and hopefully
2 32gig DDR3 1066MHz ram sets.

This will actually give my computers 3 accessible video cards, the 1 to 2 gig onboard radeon video as well as the 2 additional radeon video cards.

I would really love to get invested in this, and if I can do it using computers I will possibly have the option to buy 5 or 10 brand new ones very inexpensively.

Things I do not understand, if I would have 4 computers built to the specs above, Can I make them all work together as one unit to produce better profits in a pool.
If you can merge them is there extensive knowledge to networks needed and coding in order to accomplish this task?

I have been looking for over a month and it seems the people who can answer these questions are somewhat mean in a way and never directly answer the questions, they use an answer like "if you have to ask that don't get involved" and answers like that do not help me to research this investment, or anyone elses for that matter. I have never mined before and I am very interested in getting started, any information you can pass along to help me figure out the best path to take would be very beneficial.

I got started in Bitcoin a while ago, I was a day trader in the Forex Commodoties exchange. I closed my accounts in forex and sold my whole portfolio. And I started my own bitcoin mining farm in 2012. My wife and I this time last year had just suffered a fire that destroyed our large Bitcoin Mining farm. It was complete with Solar power, and just began switching out over power super PC we built and used as rigs for larger new ASIC equipment. We then suffered a terrible fire cause by arson that destroyed 3 businesses and our home. (we live in the Philippines so your business is part of your house in most occasions.) With no help from anyone, Not even the bitcoin community we were forced to start our new Bitcoin mining business with absolutely no money at all. Since I have done very well with the business so far, I built an informational website that helps to know how we did what we did. I saw I have a 3 month ROI on my miners which surprises most bitcoin miners and they kept asking how I was doing it, and I have helped many people get and earn bitcoin for free, all the way up to owning their own bitcoin mining farms with no money out of their pocket.

It does not have referral or affiliate offerings but I am thinking of adding this in the future.

So today i will give you the link to my website, it has faucets, game links, mining pool information and links to them, it has a place with a link where you can check any site for scams. The contact page goes directly to my personal email so all the questions I see personally and answer myself. It has a lot of great information for free to anyone who chooses to use it.

Cool, btc is convenient for Filipinos because there are many Filipinos are working in other countries.

Bank wire and transfer costs a lot of money and very slow, but btc transfer is faster than bank and with almost 0 fees.

I think btc will be mainstream in the near future, because it is really helpful to humankind, money revolution  :D

It's about time. I remember reading an article about Philippine nannies and the high number of workers based in foreign countries. Imagine what's the difference it will make if every one of these people make a switch from using the standard money remittance services going over to bitcoin.

Be even more cautious of Gleb Gamow. He a known criminal who breaks the law, lies to authorities, then breaks more laws on top of the other laws he is convicted for, he also claims to have worked for BFL, and can not follow simple forum rules,.

Yea Gleb Gamow who claims to be bruno kucincas is a man everyone in bitcoin should trust if you want to be a homeless criminal like him.

And, I masturbate to images of underage goats.

Unrelated once again cause you dont have the whole story, Yes I did start a business in JUNE purposely to see if you could make money in bitcoins without investing anything, it was a project I put together quite successfully, just becasue I traded them since 2009 does not mean I am not allowed to start projects Gleb. I did not lie, I started in 2009 trading Bitcoins buying and selling them, in June I started a project to see if you really could get a good honest business going in crypto without investing a dime out of your pocket, and I did it. and it is possible. Thank you for showing everyone how hard work and dedication really pays off.

Keep trying Gleb the troll you are failing at every turn.

So, who is lying? Me, Bruno Kucinskas, or Leroy Fodor?

Lets see you a sex offender, a liar, a theif, a sub contractor for BFL, a person who at 50 breaks laws 18 year olds do, then break them again, a person who ahs clear problems wiht authority, a man with a bhuge temper, one who can't get a true point across and tries to cover that by using foul language constantly, and a list of other illegal offenses you listed about yourself. yea your opinion is one we shoudl all trust, I  mean seriously at every turn I have disproved you, I have shown the true you, and you got so mad it was locked you allowed your temper and your trollingness to shine thru just as I expected.

You are he who has a horrible reputation of lying, conning (DMV) Oh when you sign the papewr at the DMV stating you have insurance and will keep that insurance, if you dont you lied gleb the mighty, so at the end of the day it is you who repeatedly lies over and over, and not just to regular forum readers you have no problems lieing to the police and people of authorityu. if you are so easy to lie to them, why should any of us believe anything you say. Your reputation speaks for itslelf, you lie to get what you want.

I just checked coins.ph Facebook page and I found only a generic promises and ads there. Theirs  site https://coins.ph/ (https://coins.ph/) is nothing solid either, I read they are based in Manila, Philippines. But I couldn't find exact address... So they created online Wallet for everyone to use... great... I wouldn't recommend using it, ever. I just hope it is not elaborate scam. I will be watching their business from now on.

Well i have been buying and selling bitcoins from them worth of $5k already. I guess you're not really from the Philippines and posting something just for a cent.

*edit most of the Filipino bitcoiners use them coz they've have been already published or exposed if they were running illegally our greedy government already stopped them in the beginning.

To be honest, I've dealt some business with them and I can vouch for their fast and reliable service. Not even a single hassle have I encountered so far. Whenever problem arises, they try and reach me by any means: be it in the internet or through text message. So far, I've transacted over $500 in bitcoins with them, and I will continue using their service as I find it really useful and helpful.

Good to see a kababayan here in the world of bitcoin, and also using the same service as I do! :D Coincidence? I think not. Also, I know 2 of their customer supports personally so I don't think they are an illegitimate business. They are based not in Manila, but in Pasig City--just to be exact--in Ortigas Center. :)

It is true that there is a legitimate business implementing bitcoins here in the Philippines, but that doesn't mean that there is already a widespread adoption happening around the corner. Heck, even financial analysts and merchants know very little about this digital currency. I have some friends here who does want to know how bitcoins work. After a little explaining, they ended up looking at me with poker faces. Oh and the explanation that I gave them is a noob-friendly one, but still they didn't get it. :(

What scares me the most is that bitcoin wouldn't see widespread adoption that fast because people all over the world--especially those with limited internet access--know very little about its concept. Try and explain it to them, they will surely give you a blank stare if they're not into tech or something similar.

What i can say about coins.ph is, it is widely used by the Filipinos, and I do know they will contact you directly with any concerns. They have contacted me before just to get my opinion of their service. They were brought to my attention by an investor at one of my seminars when they first emerged. I checked them out and they seemed legit, then a few days after I signed up they emailed me directly and asked me how I felt about their business, and gave some good info about themselves.

I live in the Philippines though it isn't really my native country...been actually stuck here for a while due to unforeseen circumstances...didn't really now Bitcoin was getting big in the Philippines...but then again I am only a few months old when it comes to my knowledge of Bitcoin. Nevertheless...that is a good thing...I should try my best to make as much Bitcoin as possible so I can use it to help me in my current situation.

As much as I would like to avoid partaking between Gleb and cyberpinoy's heating discussion, the quoted statements made me do so. Seriously, cyberpinoy, why the hell are you still here in the Philippines if you do not like us Filipinos? If you really made it big in bitcoin, then why the hell are you still here and not anywhere else in the world? You can use your money to fly away from this "fucked up" country that you're talking about, given that you had made it "big" during the hype. We don't need you here man. You're a shame to our country. The reason why Philippines is being looked lowly by other countries is because the kinds of you guys exist in here. Win some ...lose some.. It's just great to hear some more countries dealing with Bitcoins.

Most things start small and grow bigger over time... We had the same thing in my country... 1 formal meetup for Bitcoiners in 3 months and now we get together on a weekly basis on a informal basis.

Many projects have been brainstormed and developed from this since.  ;)

Cool story! But here in our country, Facebook groups of bitcoiners do exists, but sadly, none of it was active, but I'm pretty sure there are bitcoin movements happening here--though they prefer to be silent, I don't know. The majority of the population, and even the tech savvy people here in the Philippines know very little things about bitcoin, so I'm not surprised with the fact that the Philippines is left behind in regards to technological advancements.

In my country is similar situation.
Yes, we even got first Bitcoin ATM but still we don't have much BTC users and tech savvy people  (or merchants) are still skeptic about Bitcoin.
I hope this will change when bitcoin become more popular and globally accepted.

It is astounding to me how utterly stupid the Filipino people are. As an american living here i have noticed a lot about Filoipino native people. this is a country of opportunists. It has a population of people where 90% of the people are scammers, con artists, thieves, beggers, lazy with their hand out, want to get money for nothing people. Even the Huge business corporations are no different. Their business structure is lacking in so many aspects of true honest business. Their lifestyle lacks ethics of any kind, and the rule among thieves does not apply to these people. They are a monkey see monkey try and do kind of people. A follow the leader mentality. SO why more of these people who want to sit on their ass and do nothing for money have not jumped on board with Bitcoins is beyond me. They will sit in front of a computer for hours on end trying every work at home pyramid scheme you can find, I know becasue I own a internet cafe and watch them regularly wasting their time and money. Their ISP IPs are banned all over the internet for spamming, thier business structure lacks common business logic and business ethics. They are a culture full off opportunists who refuse to take advantage of an opportunity that can make them literally rich over here.

A 1 THS miner for an american could not even feed his family much less pay the Bills in america. A 1 THS miner in the Philippines makes and generates enough income to replace a average waged job completely. I know I own my own hardware I am using for these statistics here. They will spend thousands fo dollars on local investments with 97% overhead expenses, and look right past the bitcoin industry all together. Even the so called "Filipino Bitcoiners" are so dumb to the industry they are in they refuse to invest in bitcoins for real. They think owning 100 bitcoins they paid 620 to 840 dollars a piece for  is awesome and makes them rich ( most of them do not even know they are not valued at the price they paid for them, they still thnk they are worth 620 to 840 dollars) but to want to invest those 100 bitcoins into something and turn 100 bitcoins into 125 in a month and keep doing it, NOOO way.

I thought of all people here we should start with the high dollar Filipino Bitcoin investors. that would be the route to go, they are in they understand the industry. Then after talking to them, they dont know anything about Bitoins, they dont even understand what they bought. and even worse over 50% of them didnt even know you could mine bitcoins.

I have friends in Vietnam, indonesia and Philippines and we try our best to involve small time investors who would love to make good money in investments. But they all turn a blind eye to our offers. trust me, I do not speak rudely to them as we speak to them. I dont mention how stupid they are or how ignorant they are in their own investments. But we show them the points of all Bitoin has to offer, the freedom they can actually have in getting involved. how much money can be made in these 3rd world countries compared to working your ass off in the sun all day every day. And it just goes right over their heads.

Adoption of Bitoins in the Asian countries will take 10 to 15 years to happen. If it ever happens for real. china is the only country here ( I do not know much about the Japanese) that is involved in Bitcoins) And china Understands bitcoins, they know exactly what they are doing, like all other financially profitable industries China is again running this industry, they manufacture the miners, put the miners to work until a chinese reseller buys them the chinese reseller then puts them to work mining until an outsider buys them, and the process for them is rinse and repeat then reap the profits of the mined coins, dump coins 2 times a month and rinse and repeat the whole process every month. Thjey are holding very few coins as investors because of the government threat, yet making billions of dollars a wek on the industry.

So explain so i can pass the information on to my partners what are we doing wrong, how do you explain to a monkey the positive and profitable investment bitcoins is. from trading to mining them. because we are tired of repeating ourselves to deaf ears here. We need to help the adoption and increase the motivatio here, but the people are just..... I hate to say it ....DUMB.

Ask the lying piece of shit Leroy Fodor about that mythical internet cafe he owns.
