My bitcointalk account has been hacked , its name is Tlee88 . Can any one show me how to get it back ? The email registed with Tlee88 has been changed , this is the reason I can not recover password .

Did you have any deal or transaction with the account, if you did, sign the address that is related to the account, then send the sign message or anything that can prove it's your account to the theymos and ask him to recover your account, it might help, good luck.

This could be used to prove that you indeed controled the bitcointalk account once. It is however no proof that you did not stage the hack in an attempt to scam MZ.


What that the price you paid? If anything you could ask MZ to take the account back for the price you paid. I doubt you asked for a signed message either, because you could just produce this now and there would be no discussion.

MZ takes the account back and returns payment.
OP pays the loan that was taken with the account as they are responsible for the accounts actions.

However this is not how the world works and you are free to find your own solution.

Probably not, but Im afraid thats the risk you take when you give out a loan with an bct account as collateral but the borrower did not sign a message. I know this is harsh, esp. since you offer loans without interest.

Muhammed Zakir you should resolve this question with "Tlee88" privately , however I do not find correct to pay this "compensation" (I call it ransom, it is more appropriate). The next time you will start to ask a signed message before give a loan, everyone make mistake but everyone should resolve them in the easiest way.

Its certainly not helpfull if people start mixing several cases into one thread or spread their case over several threads. Whether you have been hacked or not has nothing to do with Tlee88 beeing hacked or not.

#1 why you have not yet provided anything to strengthen your claim

Well in all honesty, Muhammed Zakir did not create the problem. You created the problem when you didn't properly secure you account. I have learned this the hard way. Muhammad, in my eyes, has done more than any other person on this forum would have done. He did make a reasonable offer to resolve this with you, and it seems that you are trying to make more off the account than what its worth. If I was Muhammad, after reading the messages sent to him, I would not even offer anything back to you. Like I said, YOUR FAULT FOR NOT PROPERLY SECURING THE ACCOUNT. Theymos isn't going to get your account back. They don't care about petty shit like this. It may not be petty to you or I, but to him it is. I have compelling proof that my account was stolen, and that's been going on 2 months now. Its pretty well up to Muhammed now what he decides to do, but it looks to me like you were trying to "Strongarm" him into giving you a better account than what you already had.

I hope that you understand that you are the one at a disadvantage here. MZ is trying to help you out by offering you a refund. It may have been a poor decision on MZ's part to take the account as collateral without first getting a signed message, however  the account is almost certainly not hacked considering how long it took the OP to post claiming his account is hacked.

The OP may or may not be able to prove that he previously owned the account, however the large gap in time between when MZ took the account and when he posted about it being stolen almost certainly proves that the owner consented to the transfer.

I still have doubt in OP. I don't think one would take ~20+ days to realise the account was hacked. He could prove the ownership but not in standard way, the way theymos told.

Admins can undo the ban anytime. It usually means forever but practically, it isn't.


It's very hard AFAIK. The time-factor is a big problem.

He wants it as leverage. If the account is banned then it is of no use to whoever owns it and they would be more willing to give it back to the previous owner.

The admins can obviously unban an account if deemed appropriate. No action that a mod or an admin takes is 100% permanent, it can always be reversed if that it deemed to be the correct thing to do

Lets use this for a example. Say you respond to a Craigslist ad for a job. And you do the job without issue. Then the person pays you. Now you find out that, that person robbed someone last week and paid for you with that money. Would you give it back then?
