I had few satoshis and some altcoins there :( Hope they will online again and I will withdraw all my coins there.

The owner seems to be a smart guy, asking hackers for a hack  :(

The owner hasn't mentioned the alts on there. The hacker might have stolen some of those too. Did allcrypt have any high value alt markets?

The altcoin I have there don't even have trading volume every day. Hope my coins still there :)

The owner looks sad and he probably have no money to pay you guys.
The altcoins must be stolen too since the situation looks terrible. Allcrypt got only 12 BTC customer funds, so the value might be not that high.

I have some altcoins too, I hope all of balance that I had not lost
I just keep not for trading there, no activity for some altcoin and also maintenance too

I hate people that don't care about security because they think they are too small for any hacker care about them :(

And everybody got just another lesson on crypto, one of the most basic lessons in fact here.., but the same mistake gets repeated again and again.. Never keep any significant amount of money on any online wallet. The only exception should be for a very short period of time and only when there is no other choice (but choose like blockchain.info because they can't use your funds)  ;) Or for fun  :P I hold some altcoins on qoinpro.com and cryptonator.com for some altcoins from faucets or giveaways and have like 10$ in each, if they start to accumulate I'll just install a wallet on a pc since now I don't bother to do it ;)
I just hope that they had a lot of customers and everybody just had a little bit and not their savings of a few months or  :o :o :o years...

These things just stress the importance of exchanges where the exchange isn't necessary.

Its somewhat ironic that the AllCrypt guy got his tiny amount of traffic that he did have from posting in the threads of now defunct exchanges right after they got "hacked". He would make posts about how it would never happen to him. I am too lazy to dig these up though.

Sad story. Withdrew whatever little I had there just a few hours before the hack. Does the owner intend to pay out the altcoins at least?

Looks really bad. I don't think there will be any altcoins left.. Too bad he didn't secure his money / his customers money...

Damn, lost some BTC, but what have we learn from this....

Always keep your coins on your own wallet until you wanna exchange them or use them, just my opinion :)

This is why Bitcoin sucks so much, they get stolen the whole time.

Update: Spent the last 16 hours scouring logs. I believe I know what happened and how. I'll post full details as soon as I know more. The site is down, for now, completely, until I can assess the damage done. I'm not even sure there is anything to bring back up.

We may re-open someday. This puts us back months, if not years. Without even that 10.8 BTC to recoup any costs, this is absolutely crushing. So I cannot say. I’ve actually had offers to buy the site. Maybe. I don’t know. This was my baby, and I’d hate to let it go.

Anyway, that’s all the news I have for now. I’ll try to post updates about any coin returns, and will be sending emails to those affected when we get those tools in working order. It won’t be a quick process. There’s ton’s of cleanup to be done.

that is bad news to see shutdown of allcrypt i have my have few altcoin there maybe near about 0.12BTC,
so i have to wait for this for few months to get access my account there, after bter another exchange got hacked.

Yes , they stole all our coins

Better forget about your coins there and move on, theres zero chance you will ever get it, and thats why decentralised cryptos are having a hard time
going mainstream. Maybe if there were some regulations about it , that would change, but you all hate regulations.. so here is what you get, not the first time, and certanly not the last time.

Think its an excuse now being used by too many,all exchanges should be forced to insure there customers coins or like Cryptsy have a vault even if there hacked you stand a better chance of keeping your coins.Anyway why would someone keep coins on an exchange!!!

As long as there are no obligations regarding user identification when handling bitcoin, there is no way that these hacks will stop, cryptsy may have somewhat better
security than allcrypt, but that does not mean that they are safe. The higher security , the higher the pot for the take is, so just use exchanges, but after you do your trade, just withdraw your funds,
thats the only way your coins can be safe.

uhhhhhm, to trade.  Kinda hard to use an exchange to "trade coins" without having coins on there?! 

I dont even know how do you think that we could employ a regulation on bitcoins.. We could try to make some good-security ideas or tips so people that hold bitcoins can secure them and even exchanges that hold them.
