I wanted to take a moment and thank all those that have started mining for bitclockers.com (http://bitclockers.com). And more importantly those that have been providing invaluable feedback over the last few weeks. THANK YOU!
Overclocking community.  As you may already know, overclocking your graphics cards can boost performance in games. Similarly, overclocking will also allow you to mine more Bitcoins than anyone else with the same videocard; especially when done properly.

I have a couple questions for our users and prospective users:
  • We currently use the simple Proportional Payout system. Would it be better to switch to a score based sytem like this? Pool hopping hasnt been an issue yet, and i already have the site programed to disable cheater's accounts. Is it still necessary to switch? Personally i think  user (shares/total shares) * BTC generated is the simplest and most fair.
  • Bitclockers.com (http://Bitclockers.com) will be giving away several ASUS Video Cards and Motherboards starting in the month of June. We need ideas on how to fairly give these out. One card will be given away as a general raffle among all actively mining users. Another ASUS 6970 will be given out randomly to one lucky user in the top 10% of shares generated. We need your help with finding the best way to raffle the last ASUS 6970 and a ASUS Maximus III Extreme.
  • We are almost done implimenting the Multiminer Protocol (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=5210.msg76146#msg76146) (MMP) written by CFSworks, as a more efficient alternative to Long Polling (LP). The question is who is going to use it? I certainly will be.

The Worker Watchdog is now available to BitClockers.com (http://BitClockers.com) users. Your miners/workers can now be setup to notify you in the event that problems are encountered. Triggers can be defined, such as: hash rate, rejected shares, or last seen. Don't neglect your miners; know the second that there is a problem and start mining with BitClockers.com (http://BitClockers.com) today!

We now have a logo thanks to a generous donor:

Any ideas why I don't seem to get any hashrate on the webpage?
My worker has been working for almost an hour now, still saying 0 Mh/s.

What is your miner name and mining client. I don't see any errors on this end. Pop into Live Chat (http://bitclockers.com/livechat) when you get a chance and I'd love to help you get started.

for future implementations plz consider the https and the email verification for saving new wallet!  ;)
Luffy, you're totally right, we will force SSL to be standard for all pages/links soon. Until then, clicking the signin (https://bitclockers.com/signin/), and now register (https://bitclockers.com/register/), will put you in SSL secure mode until you leave the site. So don't use the lazy login on the front page unless you have https://bitclockers.com  in your url.

This one supports GUIMiner?
I've been overclocking for the last ten years so I could share or learn something with you guys if the pool works OK.

Yes sir the Bitclockers.com pool supports GUIMiner here is the information you will need inorder to connect to the Pool

Host: Pool.BitClockers.com
Port: 8332
Enter your Miner/Worker "Username" and "Password"
Click start mining and you should see your current Hash rate if successfully connected.

GUIMiner is a Graphical User Interface for GPU Bitcoin mining, more convenient and easier to use for miners just getting started.
GUIMiner Direct Download Available Here  (https://github.com/downloads/Kiv/poclbm/guiminer-20110614.exe)
GUIMiner latest version or Linux Version available here (https://github.com/downloads/Kiv/poclbm/guiminer-20110614.exe)

IF YOU ARE NEW TO BITCOIN MINING READ THE GETTING STARTED THREAD AVAILABLE HERE (http://bitclockers.com/forums/index.php?topic=3.0)

1. Download GUIMiner
2. Extract file
3. launch GUIMiner
4. Configure GUIMiner
5. Happy Mining!

Here is what GUI Miner looks like:
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g94/V2-V3/Bitclocking/GUIMiner/selectUserpassdevice.jpg

For ATi (http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx) Graphics cards update your graphics drivers here

*If you are using an AMD ATi Radeon 4000 (http://developer.amd.com/sdks/AMDAPPSDK/downloads/Pages/default.aspx#one) Series card you will need to install the AMD APP SDK available here*

For NVIDIA Graphics cards update your graphics drivers here (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us)

How to use:

Extract and instead of running "poclbm.exe" (which runs the command line version), run "guiminer.exe". If you have OpenCL set up correctly this should launch the GUI. If you get an error about OpenCL, you need to install an OpenCL package from your GPU vendor. For AMD/ATI cards you can get OpenCL here (http://developer.amd.com/sdks/AMDAPPSDK/downloads/Pages/default.aspx).

Once the GUI is running, choose a pool and register if necessary from the pool website, then press "Start mining" to begin. Wait for the coins to come in and don't forget to donate

How to get help:

For technical support please post in this thread rather than sending me a PM; this will get you a reply sooner since other people than me can help you out. More information is better; with only a brief vague report we probably don't know enough to pinpoint your problem. Here's an example of a good report:

"When I try to start mining, I get "Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC" in the status bar and the miner doesn't start. I already checked that my bitcoin.conf contains the correct username and password. I am using:

GUIMiner version: v2011-06-09
Operating system: Windows XP SP3
Miner backend: OpenCL/poclbm
Video card: ATI 5770
Server: solo mining on Bitcoin client 0.3.22

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: Help! The program crashed or didn't work!
A: If you post a bug report in this thread a variety of helpful people including myself can try to fix your issue. We need to know at least the following: what version of Windows you're using, what graphics card you're using, what version of drivers you're using, what pool you're using if applicable, and a detailed description of what went wrong.

Q: How do I know if my graphics card (GPU) supports OpenCL or CUDA?
A: Try running GPU Caps Viewer (http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu_caps_viewer/index.php#download). It will tell you what your GPU supports.

Q: How do I use the Phoenix/phatk miner?
A: Run GUIMiner as usual, then go File -> New other miner and navigate up one directory and pick phoenix.exe. Then enter your info as usual and start mining. For the Extra Flags you can enter any Phoenix flags such as VECTORS or -k phatk (see above screenshot) for an example, or see the BitCoin Mining Hardware Comparison Chart (http://bitclockers.com/forums/index.php?topic=6.0)  thread for a full list of flags.

Q: What extra flags do I use?
A: If you have a Radeon 5xxx card (for example 5770, 5890), use '-v -w128'. On CPU you don't need any flags. For other cards ask around.

Q: My temperatures are too high, can I throttle the GPU so it runs slower but cooler?
A: If you are mining using OpenCL you can use the -s flag a value such as 0.01 in order to force the GPU to sleep for 0.01 seconds in between runs. Increase or decrease this value until you have the desired GPU utilization.

Q: Can I connect to more than one pool with the same GPU? For example have a main pool, and a backup pool in case the main one goes down?
A: Yes, you can use the -f flag for this. A value of -f60 or higher in the backup pool's miner will cause it to yield most of the GPU power to miners with a lower f value (default is 30).

Q: Is it normal that GUIMiner uses a lot of CPU when mining on the GPU?
A: No, for most people GUIMiner uses less than 1% of CPU. This is a poclbm issue some people are experiencing - see this post (http://forum.bitcoin.org/?topic=4446.0) for more info.

Q: Do I need the official Bitcoin client to be open while mining?
A: Only if you are doing solo mining - in this case you are connecting to the client instead of a pool server.

Q: How does performance using the GUI compare to using the command line?
A: They should be identical; the GUI introduces virtually no overhead.

Q: How do I know if I'm getting a good hashing rate for my card?
A: See this topic (http://bitclockers.com/forums/index.php?topic=6.0) for a comparison of various cards.

Q: How do I know how many Bitcoins I'll generate with my card?
A: See Bitcoin Mining Profitability Calculator (http://bitcoinx.com/profit/) to determine this.

Q: I installed OpenCL, but my GPU isn't showing up. Only my CPU is shown. What is the problem?
A: A couple people experienced this issue and were able to resolve it by installing a different driver version.

Q: How can I delete my miner settings, or edit them manually?
A: Miner settings are stored in %APPDATA%\Roaming\poclbm. For example, on Windows 7 this path translates to C:\Users\Kiv\AppData\Roaming\poclbm. The file poclbm.ini inside contains the settings in JSON format. There are also some settings in .ini files inside the miner directory, also in JSON format. No registry keys are used, so removing these .ini files completely erases your settings.

Q: How can I completely uninstall GUIMiner?
A: Remove the GUIMiner folder and the miner settings above, and that will completely remove GUIMiner.

Q: I want to see X feature in the miner. How can I have it?
A: I'm working on new features but I have a full time job and other things to do too - if you want to encourage me send donations to: 1MDDh2h4cAZDafgc94mr9q95dhRYcJbNQo

Q: What does it mean in the summary panel when the shares say something like 1000 (150) accepted?
A: That means 1000 shares total were accepted, including 150 in the last hour.

We've broken 12 GHashes! :D

The statistics page is terribad slow right now. I am busy optimizing it as we speak. Keep in mind, the way BitClockers.com is setup, no matter how bad the website gets mining will be unaffected. As soon as we get stats fixed up we will bring pool2.bitclockers.com online.
pool2 and pool are combined, so you may mine on one, the other , or both. More details soon.

We're now fully redundant with  15min backups :D
Multiple pools are now available to connect to:

pool.bitclockers.com - Denver, CO USA
pool2.bitclockers.com - Chicago, IL USA
pool3.bitclockers.com - Zlin, Czech Republic

You can mine on one or all, its all the same.
I recommend picking the closest pool to you. Then set one of the others as a failover if one goes down. Or you can spread your miners around for even better redundancy.

Pushing 1.2ghash your way.  Would love to see a more responsive site, but I'm sure that's planned.

We are currently rewriting the way statistics on the site are handled. With our new decentralized setup we have to make many of changes to our SQL statements and even database schema. But its all for the good, we now have 3 pools spread over the world all combined for statistics/validation. No reason to failover to other pools in the event of an issue. :D

We are working through the night and will have the site zip zoomin ASAP.

I also seem to be getting a huge amount of stale shares (about 10 times more than with any other pool).  Perhaps this is location based, but I thought it prudent to inform you.

Long polling was broken this morning. Everything should be 100% now. Blkmond wasnt doing its job. I wrote our own block monitor script and its working perfectly now. Sorry for the troubles :O

Backburn and Artemis temporarily disabled some of the stats including the pagination. There are multiple pages but you cant see them right now to reduce time opening the page. They are working to make a faster version that scales with more users. Look forward to graphs as well as a significant reduction in load time.

All coins seem to have been paid out correctly for the last block. Private message me your account name and workers that were active during the last block and ill credit you if there was an error.

Yup, and the hash speed is miles off, added a 5970 to the 6990 on a different computer and hasrate is sticking around 831 / 900 but miners reporting 800 mh/s for the 6990 and around 650mh/s for the 5970 (1250mh/s)

Site seems to be getting faster however

The guys have been working on the site, making speed improvements, setting up user stats, the hash rate now seems to be back to what it should be (there or thereabouts)

They also have a live chat on the site which is handy https://bitclockers.com/?action=livechat (https://bitclockers.com/?action=livechat)

My balance hasnt been updated, it shows 0.0, and ive just heard that others have been paid, please kindly tell us whats happening as i contributed the 2nd most amount of shares to that block we found last night.

worker gpu1 and gpu2 - login ph123uk

EDIT: Also just added a 5970, 2 x 6970's and 2 x 5770's so hash rate should go up a lil more :)

you have to fix the instant payout functionality. it is essential to mining :)

Instant Payout has been fixed also the minimum payout has been lowered from .50BTC to .10BTC

Half the stats on this site have been broken for 4 days, and with the last block solved I only received about 1/2 of what was estimated.  Is there even any work being done on this pool?  Would be nice to actually see some support.

The stats page has been updated and now responds faster and stats are able to be sorted by Worker/Rate/Shares/dates
Worker hash rate now most accurately reflects current hash rate for individual workers.

Then do not use the lazy login on the front page. We did not want to force all clients to use SSL for the portal page. Please connect to the site using HTTPS (https://bitclockers.com/) or click Sign In (https://bitclockers.com/?action=signin) at the top right of the page to access the secure login.

Why don't you just set the POST to the HTTPS-page instead of HTTP?
I think 80-90% of your users will use the login they see on the portal page, instead of using links or changing the URL manually.

This was discussed earlier in our IRC chat (http://bitclockers.com/?action=livechat) and The intent was not to force all users to use SSL, the current configuration allows the optional use of SSL.

I just did a test payment and everything seems to be in order. Are you sure you've been mining long enough for a block to be found? You wont get a payout until a block is found, your payout is based on your percentage of work on that block. Visit the Support Forums (http://bitclockers.com/forums/index.php?board=2.0) and post if this is not the case and one of the admins will gladly reconcile your account.

KEEP IN MIND: As always you should use pool.bitclockers.com to connect with your miners. Just using bitclockers.com will point your miner nowhere. pool.bitclockers.com will automatically put your miner on the fastest server available to you.

Has the website been down for a while, or is it just me? :)

The web servers were down from 6:20am to 10:00am my time.   We managed to crack a 3million share block and the sheer amount of data caused problems with one of our database triggers. This broke replication between the database cluster servers.

In other words, the site choked on the giant block. We found the problem and now everything is fixed and shouldn't happen again :D

Hey Guys,

Are you sure your statistics are correct?

Code:
Current Round Started: Mon, Jun 20th, 11:37:29 am
Current Round Duration: 23 hours
Current Round Shares: 1,211,172

23 hours to do 1.2M shares doesn't seem to be 92.3GH/sec like it says on your site?

I would estimate more like 50GH/sec ?

Are you sure your statistics are correct?

Thanks for the heads up. We had a large drop in hashrate during the preceding block from hell (impatient people). But just in case, I rechecked the top left "live stats" code for any problems and setup a low weight on users with low hash counts (under 50mhash). Because workers with slower hardware may only end up only submitting a share once or twice during the 10min average period. This would sometimes cause their hash rate to be higher than it should be. This change should cut down the global hash rate variance and get us to a closer MH/s estimation.
Keep in mind, hashrates on any pool, are at best, a guess and can vary greatly. Always use shares over time as a metric of performance.

Also keep in mind that payouts etc... are only based on shares. MH/s is purely for entertainment :)

People just don't know what BitClockers has to offer until they join the pool. Once you go BitClockers you never go back!

so true! ;) I joined 32h ago. Never had this stunning low Stale Rate and high Payout/day before on ANY other Mining Pool! ;) Love You BitClockers!

We pride ourselves on having the best possible pool for our miners. We have invested countless man hours into keeping stale shares to a minimum and providing the best possible system up time.

Depending on your location you can try any one of our 3 redundant pools to reduce stale shares.

pool.bitclockers.com 8332 Denver
pool2.bitclockers.com 8332 Chicago
pool3.bitclockers.com 8332 Czech Republic

Dashboard graphs are updated and look very sexy!

Miner stats page also updated for your enjoyment.

Please let us know of any additions you would like to see on the site.

Please let us know of any additions you would like to see on the site.

Payout directly to wallet address (ie - on another pool I received the coins in my wallet as Generated vs. sent)
Payout transaction history/ledger
Link to blockexplorer for discovered blocks
Historical average trending. The current average line on statistics page doesn't track where the average has been.
Longer timeout for logins

But the site and the service is really working spectacularly. As more people come online with BitClockers I think the stability and resilience of this pool will really shine!

New to the pool today.  Took my computer offline for a few hours to ghetto rig my gfx card with a new old heatsink.  Some snips, zipties and dual 120mm fans later, I got my VDDC down from 100c+ to 75c, core load temps from 90c to 65c.

Going to see if I can overclock it a bit further now.  I did lose a lot of ground but I am sure in the long run the down time will pay off.

EDIT:  Well, managed to get my 5850 from 860core to 930 stable.  I was able to get higher but my VDDC temps were hitting close to 115c.  340Mhash to 370Mhash.  I'll take it  ;D

I think you could make it so that any new miners are not allowed to join for the first 15 minutes of a new block. This would mitigate pool hoppers. Anyone mining the previous block will of course be allowed to continue mining.

Seem to be getting a bit high on the stale shares 3318 - 111.

Which is odd, though, because the dashboard only says 17 rejected.

Lolcat what kind of percentage do you usually get on stales.

BTW, the changes to the Dashboard are SUPERB. It's like you guys have really studied usability. Most pool dashboards seem to suck. Bitclockers pool is shaping up to be the most miner friendly pool out there! Keep it up guys.

Oh and the security of the GAuthenticator is World Class! No fear of getting my account at all! And I've yet to see any downtime.

I did, on the dashboard and reported it to backburn. It seems to be fixed now, in a funny way (it's not printing out my input with > and < and other "bad chars" replaced with &lt; and &gt;, instead, they completely vanish now ;D ).

Like our API that we have had for months @ http://bitclockers.com/api/

I'll make a non standard bitclcokers.com/api/poolmhs/ for them if that is what it takes.

I've just been doing some calculations on on my payouts through BitClockers since I started compared with other pools and PPS payouts. In 7 days I made 1 BTC more than I would have with any PPS pool. And in that same 7 days there have been so many improvements to the site, the graphs. Awesome mining with this pool!

4x 5870's just arrived in the mail installed them in a 4U rack w/ 850w Corsair power supply and overclocked each card to 925mhz core 600hz ram
about 5 hours later the PSU exploded like a gun shot! current draw from the wall was 700 watts AC

I replaced the dead corsair PSU with an Antec 1200 Watt High Current Pro and the system is back to rocking! thought i killed 4 of my gpu's but all is good now

Im going to recommend any 4GPU setup have a 1200 Watt power supply

Amen to that. I had 4x6790 and had 1000W - no dice, no boot. I could get three running but had to borrow a fourth power draw from my neighboring 1200W CM SilentPro Gold.

Two more 1200W's arrived today so I'm repowering everything and bringing up the last of my 11 cards.

Does Bitclockers payout a remaining balance after a period of inactivity?
I mean when it doesn't reach the 0.10 level. Or is it considered a donation?

I may be gone for a while. Not unhappy with BitClockers but wondering what happens.

Hey, I was just signing in on bitclockers.com and got a certificate warning.
Apparently your cert has changed again.
Now says issued by "GlobalSign" not "GeoTrust" which issues RapidSSL (the logo on the page).
Does this make sense? Seems to change a lot lately, and when it does I always get worried someone is doing something malicious. There's no point in security if you ignore the warnings...

Hey guys,

very nice tutorial on page 1 :)
I think this will help all newbies to start mining on their own cpu or gpu.

Because of that BitClockers.com has a new member, me :)

I'm working with a very very small gpu with only 8 Mhash, hope I will get some BTC in corp. with BitClockers.com
If you want to help me to grow please send a small donation to me. This would be very nice.

best wishes

Just wanted to let the admins know that I've been seeing very long page load times for the signin page here. Not sure if that is the same for all because I'm in Asia region. Almost every time in the last couple days getting a signin page takes over a minute and sometimes times out. I don't think your CDN works well here, or maybe there's some other problem?

Just a heads up.

Edit: after login seems to be much better.

Almost 4 millions shares? Sigh. We better get some good ones after this last couple.

Hey,

I joined the pool today. Everything was fine until now when I need to sign in. The password doesn't work anymore ( yes, i use the right one ). The weird thing is that if I use " Forgot password option", I can't log in with the newly generated pass either. Can someone please explain what's wrong?

Thanks,
Duhman

Do you have a listing of the pool server loads? Which pool should I point new rigs at?

Not necessary, our proxy picks the right pool for you automatically when you use pool.bitclockers.com

You can use pool2 for Chicago and pool3 for EU if you need more granularity.
I do need to get a server status page up. I'll tackle that here soon.

Thanks. Great experience so far.

I prefer a little more minimalism for my UI, but "in the eye of the beholder" and all that. I do like the graphs and stats, but the rest of the interface is a little gaudy.

Also, if you ever get around to it, and OpenID login option would be awesome.

The pool backend has been updated; some fixes to our memcache implementation. The best pool just got a whole lot better! Look for stales to drop by half. :D Large scale miners, over 5 GHash, will have an extreme improvement in LP performance.

Yey for breaking 200Ghash!

On a less pleasant note: Our webservers have been under a DDoS attack for several days, fortunately our content delivery network banned their botnet zombies as fast as they threw them at us.The jerks finally gave up on trying to kill our website and have resorted to flooding our pushpool servers with bad login requests and simple syn flooding.

I spent the night writing a work around; everything should be fine now and idles should no longer be reported in your clients.

Are there still block payout issues on BitClockers?

http://bitclockers.com/blockhistory/block/48

Most of the workers did not get paid.

And I have a total of 6607 shares for total earnings of ~0.16766873. That's a really bad rate per share. I know the pool isn't PPS, but are we that unlucky? At average luck we should be getting close to 0.00003198/share but I'm only getting 0.00002538/share.

Seems like terrible luck.

A total of 22774221 shares for the last 13 blocks. That's 0.00002854/share. Or 1751863 shares/block. And 48428226 for the last 25 blocks. That's even worse at 1937129 shares/block.

Block was so fast it didn't hit the update balance trigger. Was caught and automatically fixed within a few hours. You are good to go :)

As far as terrible luck, donno what to say. I think the current graph says it all:

Thanks, pool2 and pool3 have no such issues for me :) I'm sure though this isn't a distance-latency issue, as the ICMP ping is low for all pools.

PS: Are you sure the pool hashrate display is correct?

Hash rate is a 15 min average  not an average of the entire round

Even so, your calculations are wrong unless you aren't using difficulty of 1.

Your site has been showing over 250GH/sec for the last few hours...

Active Workers:   625  (last 10 minutes)
Current Round Started:   Thu, Jul 14th, 02:42:42 pm
Current Round Duration: 1 hours 43 minutes
Current Round Shares:   269,442

269442 *2^32 / (103*60) / 10^9 = 187 GH/sec average over the last block.

So how can you average 187GH/sec over a period of this block of 1hr 43 minutes, when you are reporting an average of 250GH/sec every 15 minutes ?

I did raise this point already on the 22nd of June! : http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=10127.msg258618#msg258618

Wow, awesome day for the bitClockers pool!!! 6 blocks in one day with about 265gh/s average. I am mining at around 750 mh/s and this is the first time I've ever made 1BTC in a day. Looks like bitclockers took all the other pools' luck today. Here's to hoping the luck continues.

Jine:  Isn't it funny how everybody starts questioning the functionality of the pool during bad luck, but never bother to ask if the pool is "really solving all these blocks" when having great luck?  :)
I'll bite, is bitclockers really solving all these blocks today?? :)

If anyone is looking for a new pool I highly suggest bitclockers, they really put some thought into the interface and provide some great personal and group graphs/charts and statistics. Plus they give away a free graphics card each month!

umm, I was playing with my miners today and had been watching the hash rate of the pool and my aggregate miners constantly. I have seen the hash rate bounce up and down a lot not as the solid 250GH you are claiming. It was over 300GHash at the start of the block but when the pool hoppers pull out the hash rate gets volatile

^No, people are just leaving because this round is ridiculously long.

I'm curious if that is a rational thing to do.  Is there some formula one can use, where after spending a certain amount of time with a particular proportional pool, that it's time to hop to another pool? Or, is it simply psychological?

There has been ongoing talk about the currentstate of the Pool in the IRC channel

Quote
For the past two weeks BitClockers mining pool has been under an "Attack" by a very large botnet and over the weekend several more large botnets have joined in flooding our servers with get work requests on the order of thousands of requests every second and never returning any work. This severely drains the resources of the server and adds nothing to the hashing power of the pool. It is effecting the quality of service to our users and drains much of the time from the pool operator. Currently the bulk of man hours is spent defending the pool from the ongoing attack. We would rather be spending time on building up the pool and adding features.

Is there some reason my miners keep cycling on/off every 5 minutes now?

They weren't doing this earlier today but now they mine for 5 minutes, run out of work, disconnect from server, wait 20 seconds and connect again and continue working.

I don't know if this is my end having a problem or if something is happening at the pool server that is causing idleness and disconnects.

This is my first day doing 600 MH/s at BitClockers. I've been around for a few weeks but was just playing with CPU mining until I got my 5830s set up.

Running Phoenix 1.48 on Ubuntu with 11.6 drivers.

Any ideas?

Title: BitClockers Mineaway Video Card Giveaway - August 2011
Post by: V2-V3 on August 01, 2011, 06:00:24 AM
The contest for August has started!
We'll be giving away an ASUS ATI Radeon 6970 Direct Cu II Graphics card to one lucky winner in the pool.

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g94/V2-V3/Bitcoinminingpool-BitClockers.jpg

You do not need to enter to win.  You must have a valid email address tied to your mining account (when you created it) and submit at least 1,000 shares in the month of August.  Every share submitted between 8/1/2011 and 8/31/2011 will generate one ticket.  Therefore, miners that submit the most shares over the month will have a better chance at winning.  Shares and tickets will be aggregated by account and not by worker.  You are free to use and create multiple workers.

On Monday, September 12th, we will draw 3 tickets with a random function in the #bitclockers irc channel. (http://bitclockers.com/livechat)   Tickets will be drawn using the python random function.  The other 2 tickets are backups in the event the winner does not claim their prize.  We will post a list of workers and ticket numbers for inspection about 48 hours before we random the winner.

The winner will be announced at the time of drawing and then be notified by the email address supplied with their account.   Winner must respond within 5 days with a valid mailing address to receive their card.  If we are unable to contact the winner via email their prize will be forfeited to the next winning ticket holder.

The drawing for this month's contest will be held LIVE Monday, September 12th 2011, at 6:30pm PST in our IRC channel. You can use the Live Chat (http://bitclockers.com/livechat) link at the top to join us.

You can find a list of worker shares and ticket numbers for the PREVIOUS month's contest here: http://bitclockers.com/files/workerticketsjune2011.html (http://bitclockers.com/files/workerticketsjune2011.html)

I keep having 1 or 2 cards drop out of the pool.  It is usually the same card so I dont know what that means.  I have tried changing clocks and voltages to that card but it could run fine for a day then the next constant connection issues.  If I stop and restart the mine it will connect again.

This pool is not the greatest, unless you are a pool hopper or enjoy being robbed by hoppers. Presently DOWN with no eta, been down for hours, with this on their forums "The Pool is currently offline, Yes none of the Admins are online, we have no ETA for when the pool will be back online, so either". Good Stuff...

I had you guys down as providing automatic payouts the last time I updated my chart (mind you, it's been a little while). I just signed up to test things out, and I don't see an automatic payout feature (only an instant one).

Bitclockers gone downhill! Site posting dodgy data, main admin hasnt been seen in days, payments disappearing and people being told their missing payments are ghosts, etc.. Got this little gem this morning
"<+Aaaron> often when blocks are found too quickly things dont pay out, that is been the situation for a while now.  not sure if that is what happened this time tho".

Hello fellow miners,

The Saturday morning service outage was a result of issues with the main pool load balancer. Scripts designed to create a new virtual balancer failed; resulting in several hours of downtime.
We apologize for any trouble this may have caused.

We are aware of the the zero share block issue. Unfortunately, our database administrator was away with his family over the weekend. Payouts for block 169 and 172 will go out soon. Block 170 will be removed as it was not actually a block. We take pool stability seriously, any patch or database changes will be analyzed and tested to ensure it will not conflict with existing code or planned maintenance.

We welcome any and all feedback or bug reports. We have E-mail, IRC Live Chat, and community Forums to facilitate communication with the administrators.

BitClockers.com would like to thank all of you for your patience.  Bitclockers is nothing without active miners like you. With your support we will continue to provide outstanding support, lowest stales, and best up time in the community.

I had you guys down as providing automatic payouts the last time I updated my chart (mind you, it's been a little while). I just signed up to test things out, and I don't see an automatic payout feature (only an instant one).

Besides the auto payout feature not being there, the password reset feature isn't working for me.  Something got mangled with LastPass when I set my password initially, and now I'm not getting an e-mail when trying to reset it.

Bitclockers does not currently provide automatic payouts.

Users can request a password reset only once. PM Backburn or I with your username so i can reset it for you.

Sadly although the pool runs kinda stable.
I am getting sick of seeing almost double users when the units are under 1,000,000 blocks
So even though its possible i hate these darn poolhoppers
For this i will keep searching one who has a solution against those thiefs.

Honestly I have no idea why anyone uses a proportional pool anymore.  There are many solid proven hop proof pools out there now.

Sadly i have same payement issue as well as like 15 or more others as i saw on irc
Untill now not a response from anyone.

Well somehow i get the idea that all pools are affected by the hoppers
I have no clue if it can really can be prevented, all pools i checked have this
The one i checked now at start i see about 100 to 500 more users for a (500.000 shares) short time and suddenly the numbers drop again. After it reaches (900.000) shares i see a difference of 100-400 workers left and the Ghash/s dropped accordingly
So i guess many still found a way to fool the pools in someway

Join a PPS, PPLNS, or SMPPS pool.  These pools pay the same for every share. They are un-hoppable.  I know I hopped 10GH for quite a while.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools

Proportional pools are the only one that can be hopped with any regularity and it is astonishingly easy.  Just look for # of shares since last block and if below a preset hop point then hop in.  Once share count gets to preset hop point, hop out and look for another pool.  (All this automated of course).

As a proof to the strength of unhoppable pools when my miner told me there were no hoppable pools (because all pools which can be hopped were on long blocks) I went to a SMPPS pool so I wouldn't be cheated by other hoppers.  Yup even hoppers avoid getting hopped on.  ;D

Now even though i loved being here and did like the concept of mining i have to turn off my machines completely
Even while i think some day bitcoins will get a better value again, for now its absolute insanity to go on
Especially since people like you keep cheating like many others do, it is in my view still stealing you can say whatever you like but in my view if you do this your probably also would do criminal activities in the real world.

For me that is simply out of the question, i simply refuse to be like modern politicians and criminals that is lie and cheat as much as possible to gain as much as possible.

Second reason why i am going to pull the plug is because i simply am loosing tons of money here
I have been running my pc's for some weeks now and when i connected the power meter got a shock
This results in a heavy electric bill which is 0.34 euro cents a kwh in last 4 days i used 83 kwh to get 0.8 btc ....
So simple calculation it costs me 28,22 euro just on electricity to receive 0,81 btc x 3,55 = 2,8755 euro
So in short it costs 10 times more on electricty to mine just that little bit of bitcoins
Since i have nothing to trade this is also no go for me as well, i can't help being poor and being honest.
So for now i really am going to turn my systems off to save a lot of energy, hoping for better times on here in the near future.
Non of the rich guys on bitcoin did make me a donation at all to buy some solar panels to lower my energy bill xD
And honestly probably never will get any donations, since too many just too greedy to help fellow people.

To make long story short i will keep an eye on the forums and for now goodbye

Lame personal attacks aside there is a solution.  You have been informed of the solution you chose not to use the solution.

A pool like arsbitcoin pays a fixed amount for every single share regardless of how long or short the block is.  It can't be hopped.  It is 100% fair.  Nobody gets paid more.  Nobody gets paid less.

Still hopping didn't bankrupt you.  E0.34 per kWh is simply impossible to break even.  You used a calculator right?

Top of the line rigs gets 2MH/W.
It takes 6607064156 MH on average to generate one block.  @ 2MH/W that is 917 kWh.

If you are paying E0.34 then thats E312 per block in electrical costs.
To break even (no profit and free hardware) a BTC would need to be worth E313/50 = E6.24.

Why do people fail @ business and them blame everyone else.
If you started a business that sold 5 Euro Bills for 1 Euro you likely would also go out of business.

I have looked at that solution and is appealing but for me at the moment not an option

Quote

True but this makes it even harder since the payements are much lower so getting even on these pools will take a lot more power and time. I earned at this pool 0.12 BTC a day..... to compare i made at bitclockers about 0.21 btc

Quote

I think pool hoppng is damaging to bitcoin in general, the ones hopping benefit ofcourse but it discourage others to tip in.

Quote

I am still truggling to get from the electricity companies the real price per kWh. I was under the impression it was E 0.23 but then i got another bill and 5 more later on all different periods and aimed at making it hard to calculate exact what you must pay.

Would you believe me they still not given the real price till today.... so its either E 0.44 or 0.34 but every company i wrote still have not answered the question proper.
They simply refuse to give straight answer... but in coming weeks i should receive the bill over the last year, funny enough even though the woman could see the total she refused to tell me the amount .....
Our country is a tax/governement hell you pay tax over and over again by that i mean they count tax over electra and then add energy tax , then they add transport costs, meter costs, and at the end they let yoy pay another 20% over the total.

Quote

I did the maths as well, simple said i do not have a 3x 5970 rig, it would be even very hard to find one at all or they ask very high prices
And even if i would find them i do not have the money, so yes i had some fun doing this but its a very expenssive hobby.

Quote
Why do people fail @ business and them blame everyone else. If you started a business that sold 5 Euro Bills for 1 Euro you likely would also go out of business.

First of all when i came into contact with bitcoin it was hovering at $8 untill some people spread fear into the community again by stating that mt.gox takes their bitcoins and more of this bad news. Which made it even fall deeper in short time its like the financial markets one starts yelling and tons of people start selling out.
Now this is a statement about failing business is which i really do not understand nor support, these days its really hard to do a succesfull business. At this moment i would not dare to start one just because you have to compete against the big multinationals ...
Even if you setup something good its darn hard to keep it alive because of taxes and enormous competition from the bigger chains
... every shop owner i know went out of business because the big chains slowly take over.
We all shop at the supermarkets which are probably all owned by the quote 500 people, the small retailers disappear because these giants taking out any and all competition. The only shops who still can stay alive are in the service types (barber, dentist or whatever)
Even farmers flee our country and goto either canada or australia because they simply get nuts of governement rules and taxes

Now you can say you can start a internet business ... lol even a bigger joke..
You can only succeed if you have a new concept or super idea.. if not forget it you simply can not compete with the big ones which are established.
I look every day at a site which sell stuff from bankrupt or ending companies the list is huge and every day growing bigger.
The current neverending profit model economy is just good for the biggest and rich who can afford to loose some.
Another thing which for me made a huge impact is that 12 years ago, i was having a rather good life
I could drive a new car , go on holiday, have some quality time in some nice restaurants, bars and other good things in life. Then we entered the eu.... and since that most of the people i know life to pay the bills ...
Some things got cheap indeed electronic shit enough and cheap as hell but i can not eat that... for instance i saw a watermelon (5 kg) at the grocer costs 24 euro .... thats half the money we have weekly for living left after the major bill get payed.

Yes the energy, water, taxes (demanded by law), insurances (demanded by law), health care (demanded by law) and last but not least our house (1000 euro a month rent cause we earned 2 euro too much for get into the cheap houses) these alone eat nowadays 70 % of our double income and we can do shit about it.
In most cases if you stop paying you get the nice guys at your doorstep and you end up in even bigger problems. And we consider ourselfs normal earning people, these days more and more people end up living under bridges and such or making an end on their lifes just because they can no longer pay the greed from governements, insurance, banks and multi nationals.
On paper the banks, water, energy, insurance companies are private.
But look a bit closer on who owns the most shares you'll see ... in our country most of the time 50% or more is owned by the governements in whatever form...
So yes i try to find a way to increase my income a bit, and since bitcoin is a concept i really like i took a look into it.
The guy who introduced me to bitcoin forgot to mention he does not pay his own electra bills.

All my money which i spend on securing my old days have been stolen by my lovely governement as well, or has been vaporised by the all the fraud and crisis over crisis the failing and greedy bankers which still pay huge bonusses these days. They still live large on our stolen money which they got from again the same governements...

Instant payment is not working for me. Getting the message "debugging bear with us trying to validate bitcoin address" - what gives?

following the forum link at http://bitclockers.com/forums/index.php?topic=422.0 wasn't much help since it's not resolved there either. only says that there are some problems with co-location providers.

ok. it happened to me as well. The payment id and amount does show in the payout section, but didn't receive the payments.

The error message is slightly different than previous earlier errors saying the payout address is valid at the end which I suspect is why the payout is being deducted unlike the previous errors.

Title: Re: [286 GH/s] BitClockers.com - NON-PAYMENT issue - AGAIN
Post by: Mobius on December 10, 2011, 10:40:29 PM
Again with the NON-PAYMENT issue, then you want people to post it to your forum, which by the way does let people register and then does not accept their logon or reset their passwords (never sends the re-set e-mail)

Then you want us to resubmit the transaction ID so you can manually verify it, which can't be done, since you can't login as per above.

Then you have on your main page to use the IRC #bitclockers. yet no one who administrates the pool shows up to answer questions nor do they give an explanation or a schedule to correct these issues.

Please notify your miners when payouts are working again.

Until then we should ALL mine somewhere else.

API doesn't match shares on the website.  Missing the 1st digit, or last if you see it that way.  What gives ?

Shares This Round:</b> 2,973,514</td>

I only got it once, and at work. Was very odd.

This can be attributed to our security protection methods. It looks like at some point your IP address was reported to a black list. But will not effect your mining operations

When The front end updates where made live my windows gadget and phone app stopped displaying the information they used to display.
Looking into the API I see nothing wrong with it. Nothing had changed that would make the gadget not work. I have tried setting up the API
address up again pasted in my Key. Still I can not get my current coins and paid out coins to display. On My phone I can see submitted
shares and the speed but not the coins. I  can view all pertinent data by setting up the API with my key. Can my gadget get banned?

Excuse me sir, i can see that you are a strong advocate of pool hopping. Bitclockers.com does not support pool hopping and there are several technologies in place to protect honest users.

Bitclockers delays share count statistics just like deepbit and other major pools.

V2, I've bantered around with you on IRC and you seem to be a decent and forthcoming guy.  Don't you believe it would have been more honest and respectable to indicate to your users that "Bitclockers.com does not support pool hopping and there are several technologies in place to protect honest users" from the start, instead of quite underhandedly faking stats, blocks, etc. to implement said "technology to protect honest users"?  Deepbit and other major pools spell out their anti-hopping measures and if your true intentions were to protect your 24/7 miners there are several proven technologies and payout methods that are hopper proof.  Instead, you guys took the low road, and did who knows what with payouts and blocks.

I know what the intentions were, but what's to prove you weren't cheating your 24/7 miners as well?

I have come to the conclusion that any pool that does not provide a blockexplorer link to each and every block found by the pool is most likely doing something underhanded.

I would seriously recommend anyone who is serious about mining to not mine on any pool where the pool does not provide said blockexplorer links.

ok, so...
Pool hopping proportional pools is simple. It's when there are known or unknown anti-hopping protections that you'll earned less than the expected value of a share.

Even then, at least with all of the hop resistant rather than hop proof scoring systems, as long as you're there at the start you'll earn more than PPS payout. I haven't come across a proportional modification that prevented that entirely.

The difficulty in pool hopping is optimising. This means finding the correct %D to leave the pool for a particular payout method, making sure your software doesn't cause too many stales or miss round starts, having a system that allows the software to compare the expected value of a share at a particular pool at a particular %D, and probably lots more.

As far as manipulating hoppers to increase hashrate, I'd guess that is why they've used their score method the way they have - without actually owning up. That way they keep their hopper boost but lose less coinage from fulltime miners to the pool hoppers.

Really, it's quite a nice idea - a score system that doesn't need to keep track of anything other than users shares. But Slush's score system still does better because the expected value of a share at the end of a long round is still near 1.0. whereas at Bitclockers.com the expected value of a share drops more rapidly even than a proportional pool. And of course, any of the DGM solutions (I include PPLNS in that) beats the Bitclockers.com system hands down since they're not only provably hopper proof, they're can also be modified - to reduce miners variance for example. And you don't have to lie about your stats.

I made a very conservative estimate of how much they've underpaid pool hoppers over the last 200 rounds, and that's about 2000btc.

welp...there goes my hopping pool.

....wait, no, doesn't matter anyways. i still get pretty decent chunk from them, even though it's off by ~30% at times.

Excuse me sir, i can see that you are a strong advocate of pool hopping. Bitclockers.com does not support pool hopping and there are several technologies in place to protect honest users.

Bitclockers delays share count statistics just like deepbit and other major pools.

Firstly, I am not a 'strong advocate of pool hopping'. I do not care if people pool hop or not. I do however provide pool hoppers with information they need to hop pools that are too lazy to implement hopper proof technologies, mostly because the analyses are fun.

Secondly, I didn't mention delaying stats, I said you're faking your stats. Since abracadabra has spoken for you I'm going to assume that you're not being deliberately obtuse and just that you haven't read the following yet:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=47411.msg757368#msg757368

http://hoppersden.info/entries/30-How-to-hop-12-Bitclockers.com-amp-spurious-round-lengths-part-3

You've been outed as faking your stats, round length in particular,  and I know for certain you're underpaying miners on short rounds. It's also possible you're underpaying your miners generally, but I haven't finished the analysis yet.

How do you respond?

I'll just leave these here.

The bitclockers info is from the bitclockers json page.

You can draw whatever conclusions you wish from the graphs.

The cyclic swing shown on in the early portion of the block is interesting to note.
I surmise that the slope of the true share count slope is approximated by the green lines I have drawn in the 2nd graph.

Oh.. one more thing..

at about 250GH it's about 3 hours to hit 43.5
bitclockers at the start of a block would regularly hit 750GH+

looking at the graph, the "anti-hopper technology" looks like it was hiding some shares from the entire pool (all miners, not just hoppers) for the first 4 to 4.5 hours.
at 750GH, 43.5 would be hit in about an hour or so.

slope lines are about right.. maybe a bit on the steep side...

It's possible you're seeing artefacts from having to either generate or transform round lengths. Until we find out more from them, I doubt we'll know for sure. I hope they do tell us more about what they're doing soon, since one of the methods they have used to generate the published round lengths would mean that all miners - even fulltime miners - are being underpaid by about 24%.

I would even go a step further and say pools not being transperent with their miners, has something to hide. Still can't even get past the fact that slush's pool  does not even offer its miners stats on how many shares per block they mined.

I mean seriously why not just call yourself Hushpool

Backburn,

The difference is that it's pretty obvious when hoppers are hopping a pool.  But in this case, it was not readily obvious that the pool was not straightforward with the stats (or as you say, "the pool hopping hoppers").  You guys pretty much set a trap and enticed hoppers to join and hop the pool.  The more ethical way to handle the situation, at least in my humble opinion, would have been to say, "We don't want hoppers and we are delaying/faking/altering stats to prevent/distract/circumvent hopping software from hopping us"

If you do not support pool hopping, please consider a hop-proof method. Either you pay prop or you don't. It's real simple.

Your link goes on to mention:

Payouts remain Proportional

Alternative payout methods have been in discussion and hopping countermeasures have been implemented for the mean time.

Miners are encouraged to vote on their preferred rewards system, all suggestions welcome.

So you still haven't explained why your round stats are abnormal. So let me put it to your miners:

Guys, ever noticed that you don't get tiny short rounds here? on other pools you see them. Here, the smallest length round you've seen in over 300 rounds is 0.3*D. This is so unlikely that I can't really explain just how unlikely it is. Even less likely than Bitclockers coming clean. About 26% of your blocks should be less than 0.3*D.

The worst interpretation is that they've been keeping a bunch of blocks for themselves. For example, if the pool operators kept all blocks under 10^-4*D they'd have made an extra 100btc for themselves and you'd have no idea.

I'd stop mining here if I were you.

You guys pulled a classic "bait and switch" on your miners.

So, for your full time miners, how will your hopping proof technology provide 98% of avg prop returns for them?  Or where do they get the rewards from the hoppers?

So, with faking stats you're not a pool! classic prop pools faking? part time or full time miners are being robbed by the Pools themselves.   Hopping pool hoppers by a pool op?   stealing is stealing, right?  You are picking who to take from and not a bit transparent about it.

Also, if you look at http://blockchain.info/blocks/Bitclockers

You'll see that they #^@'in everybody up in here!  Full time miners check your rewards against that and your butt will hurt!

Bitclockers does its best to protect its users, to protect the pool from hoppers bitclockers uses anti hopper protections to mitigate the hoppers bonuses over other miners in the pool

I'm not interested in your hopper protection - focused explanations. All I ever wanted to know from the start is why (until today edit: and since round 179) you never had a block under 0.3*D. Did you keep some for your self? No. Then if you've been respecting block boundaries you've been underpaying.

I proved without a doubt that you've been misreporting block lengths, which means  you've probably been stealing from your fulltime miners.

How about you publish the actual block lengths from rounds 179 to 504? If you can't do that you should get the scammer label.

  • 1. There is no such thing as a 'Hopper bonus'. There is only a proportional payout system.
  • 2. A strategic miner on a given proportional payout pool will receive around 1.4 to 1.6x PPS after twenty or so rounds. If you are only getting 1xPPS you aren't getting a proportional payout.
  • 3. 100% of what? Not a proportional payout. If it's supposed to be 100% of PPS then I'd want to see exactly PPS reward every single round.

Sad, that. As long as miners think they're getting paid properly, they'll ignore anything to the contrary and stay. It's just like miners at proportional pools that were just sticking their heads in the sand last year.

Interesting stuff:

http://img1.UploadScreenshot.com/images/main/3/8522001556.jpg (http://www.UploadScreenshot.com/image/860648/9274320)

Note the "hidden_by_user", who somehow created his worker in 1969, probably before Satoshi was even born.
During other blocks, that same user sometimes had more hashrate than the entire pool combined, I assumed it to be goat or clipse though I never understood how they could change the registration date without hacking the site. I guess it must be something registered by the poolop.

THen, and hour later, same round:

http://img1.UploadScreenshot.com/images/main/3/8522030510.jpg (http://www.UploadScreenshot.com/image/860659/3202970)

Now he actually is hidden?

More interesting stuff when you just glance over the block history. Blocks are now linked to blockexplorer, I guess that proves they are legit. Or are they? The times dont match the ones in blockexporer, I mean they are not even close. Its not a timezone issue either  with a constant number of hours difference and perhaps a few minutes fluctuation, its like there is no correlation whatsoever.  Only the day usually matches. Still ahm, stretching the length truth?

Some of the blocks are even in the wrong order. Look at blockid 570 (1722286) which was listed before blocks 571 and 572 (172345). I suppose typos can happen, if you manually invent your blocks.

I can guess the response though. " We dont support pool hopping ".

Maybe time to remove bitclocker from hopping config ? This thread make very fishy smell about bitclocker admin and I no like fishy smell. Remind me of prostitute Oksana I once meet in Kiev.

"Hidden by user" is back. The worker created in unixtime=0. Check this out:

http://img1.UploadScreenshot.com/images/thumb/3/8722203722.jpg (http://www.UploadScreenshot.com/image/867049/738977)

He has supposedly mined 60500 shares out of a total of 78000 this round.

Hypothesis: this is a fabricated worker whos purpose is to artifically inflate share count at the beginning of a round. IOW, bitclockers are hopping themselves.

Good plan: blame the hoppers, but reek in the profits yourself! No wonder they are hesitant to switch to a fair payout system.

Maybe. But more likely a proxy pool. It's getting harder to hop pools now, and 120% at bitlockers is better than nothing.

How did he manage to register in december 31, 1969?
That date is no coincidence btw, for those that dont know, unixtime is a way to format date and time thats calculated as seconds since January 1st 1970. IOW, this particular worker has an empty or "null" creation date. Probably an oversight by the pool op when he made it.

OK, good point. But since 0 seconds in unixtime is (1970,1,1) wouldn't that be a more likely null date? This looks more like a hack tag.

Still, it certainly does smell like unwashed gymclothes, and what you and Goat mention seems like the Occams razor explanation. It would be easy for the pool to come clean if not.

It is a great way for the pool to make cash though. Make a bunch of accounts and hop your own prop pool. Make it impossible for other miners to submit shares at the start of a round.

By the way, notice anything odd about the round shares on 25th March? Coincidence? Any other pool I'd say 'yes'. At bitclockers I start to wonder how they coud be profiting from it. This is the price of publishing fake stats and not being transparent.

Ah, clipse, there is only ONE worker hidden on bitclockers and you just happened to know the answer. Coincidence of course.

Moreover, there is not a single other worker hopping bitclockers atm that has even the hashrate you claim to have yourself (what was it, 50GH?), so either we should believe you are not hopping bitclockers at all, not even with your private farm,  or you are the hidden user.
Which is it?

Thats extremely convenient that the hidden_by_user's isnt on now, cause I initially saw a couple other users displayed as hidden_by_user and the 1969 date thats when I first checked how they got such a strange date.

@backburn/V2;

been a long time member (almost a year) of the BitClockers pool, I promise i'm not trolling you.

yeah NC support is broken, it's been broken the entire time (minus 8 blocks...) -what's happening to the NC that has been mined? I mean something must be fundamentally configured incorrectly, because it's not that difficult to merge mine, and the fact that withdrawn NC hasn't propagated to network is even more fail...

regarding reporting, that's another huge fail on BC behalf, all kinds of people have voiced concern regarding the reporting that takes place, and not ONE explanation has been given! What's the deal with BC reporting? why are solved blocks not being reported accurately? I mean it would almost be better to not report at all...

there's a lot of things that really suck hard at bitclockers, but -and this is a huge but. I make more BTC at bitclockers than anywhere else...

backburn, please take the 5-10min necessary to address some of these concerns (i'm getting really tired of all the hate and shit talk that i hear everytime i talk about how awesome bitclockers is/was),

Its hard to cheat on PPS. 8% is also considerably less than deepbit. I see no problem here.

Of course how much they pocketed from their miners before the switch to PPS is an open question. A round average of 2.1M shares per block and not a single short block in 6+ months suggests it might be tangible.

Notice that block 650 introduced PPS. Also notice that those recent short blocks have fake dates and all link to blocks that were actually found several days ago,  when payout was still proportional.

Im quite sure they arent, unless they invented time travel.
It just looks like their block faking algorithm is "catching up" and reporting all the blocks they didnt pay previously.
Doesnt matter for current miners that get paid PPS, but it just further proves what we knew all along.

No it doesn't account for profit stealing.  I started at this pool and earned about .55 coin a day from around 3000 mhs.  (This is about half what I would expect from any calculator, I suspect I was earning around 1.1 coin/day.)

On a side note, and full disclosure here, I did just get myself banned from the forums by poaching miners.  I kind of wanted to see what it would take, and that was all it took!  I had inappropriate posts up for approx 1 week.
It seems russian porn being posted every day in every section (pushing real threads to the bottom) is no problem however!

PMs to staff where ignored for the duration of my stay.

And currently their website is down. I should have switched from them two days earlier. It's annoying but I only have 0.6x BTC in that tracker. As opposed to others that for whatever reason left large amounts of Bitcoins in their account.

They had dropped from around 215 G/Hash to around 175 G/Hash. I know I pulled my 2.5 G/Hash worth of workers and I know a few other people who pulled their systems as well. BitClockers lost around 9 G/Hash from us alone.

:D perhaps they still fake the stats so you get "high speed"...

Just tried to access the site and getting a database error... Have they shut the site down?

I just noticed this as well. I'll give it a day before assuming they mean to try to run from their obligations. Perhaps then will be the time to pursue arbitration.

Same here - I have .48 stuck there - can't get on the forums.

As soon as I noticed, I gave it a day and quit mining on Bitclockers.  It used to be my primary pool - sad.

I'm surprised people are still mining on this pool.  Did you guys not read any of the stuff that went down last year with the faked stats?

Used to be my pool but when they stopped paying out people's bitcoins I moved.  I just got the last of my namecoins out of here a few days ago.  Was thinking I would just forget about them but then I didn't realize what they were worth.  I ended up getting 1.16 bitcoins for 179 or them.  Nice found money to me.  Can't believe anyone is still mining there but then again they used to be my favorite pool.  Mt Red and Ozcoin have shown how it should be handled when things go funny.  Let your people know and most of us will work with you.  Not telling anyone anything or lying or locking up people's coins without explanation is not how to handle it.

Why is bitclockers still online when its a scammer pool, and why are the user accounts here still active? They even rank bigtime in google.

They are listed even on https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools  ,,

To all of those out there who had BTC trapped at the BitClockers pool, try and get your BTC back NOW, INSTANT PAYOUT WORKED today 6/24/13. It was not working for the past 3 months. Good luck. I luckily only had 0.15 in there but I know people that have ALOT more in there.
