Also staking is very important for block chain stability. Once we pass POW we will need to have plenty of stake blocks to keep the chain moving.

So please i ask that people stake their coins. One of the main goals of this coin is to provide stable inflation of your investment...

There will be no more than 1.2mil coins within the first year! 900k max from POW. It could likely be less with stake blocks too.

This means there is no maximum stake age.

I feel this distributes stake blocks very fairly.

Hey everyone. What are some things you would like to see added to the wallet?

We have some features planned already but ultimately you guys are the ones using the wallet most.

We have access to a lot of good code some is even unique/property of coders i know.  One of our main goals is to accumulate quality technology within the wallet over time.

Can any QT wallet of coins have a LIST to send coins, not everytime add new address to send. Like copy/paste addresses and send to them equal amount?

A few suggestions, though I have absolutely no idea if they're realistic/feasible to code:

• charts which show how this coin performs on certain exchanges
• maybe a connection to the exchanges via their APIs, to enable trading by using the wallet?
• see #5 of your roadmap: wouldn't it be nice to have some kind of voting feature added to the wallet where things like upcoming features can be supposed and voted for/against?

As I said, I really don't know if that makes sense. But as we were asked about ideas, that's what crossed my mind.

I would really like to see a mobile wallet with staking features... if you had a mobile wallet that could stake coins.. instant moon I think..

Nice idea. Though I'm still waiting for one altcoin to release a mobile Android wallet based on the Mycelium wallet. All altcoins which have mobile wallets do have a Schildbach based wallet. Not that it's bad or something, but it feels a bit bloated, doesn't really look nice and the Mycelium wallet is great in so many regards. :)

Practically nobody would use staking with mobile phone as battery will try with 2-3 hours.

Even my notebooks' (i5 + i3) fans are working when I open wallets. I think wallets with staking runs processor (heavily) so batery would quickly dry.

I think you have bad cooling system in your notebooks if fans are working faster with wallet running. But sometimes some wallets really loads CPU.
Staking is just sending stats to network, no need to "mine" something and load CPU. So I think it is possible and not so heavy.

I think so, maybe my notebooks are old now, both around 4 years old.
Since I have PS4, I do not have a plan to change notebooks:)

Pos wallets that stake frequently can take alot of CPU power.
My quotient wallet takes 6-11%, ntrn wallet is drawing 4%.
Running on an fx-8320 @4.2ghz.

Maybe you just need to clean dust and change thermal paste...
Most notebooks runs hotter than PC, a specially if PC has Noctua cooling system.  8)

Quite an anticlimax.

Here are Raspberry Pi wallets for v1.2.0.0 - both the Qt and the headless daemon.

Important:
1) The wallet was built on a Raspberry Pi2 (ARM7) running Raspbian. It might work on an older Pi but I have not tested it
2) Installation directory where the binaries are installed is ~/opt/megastake or /home/pi/opt/megastake
3) All that is needed is to execute the command below on your Pi in a terminal window and afterwards you click on the Megastake icon on the desktop
4) An Internet connection is required for the installation
5) A bootstrap.dat is used to fast track the blockchain sync - up to block 6447
6) You need at least an 8GB memory card
7) The installation itself takes about 30-45min and the loading of the blockchain (once-off) another few minutes since it is still small
8.)You cannot just download the binaries, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run
9) The installation script does not enable the UFW firewall by default. If you want to enable it, uncomment the UFW lines in the script and add the port you want open and run it again or enable it manually by running the UFW commands as in the script with the correct port numbers.
10) Upon the first time startup of the Qt wallet, the Megastake splash screen will appear for a few minutes while the blockchain is imported. The progress is not readable against the black background. Give it time and the splash screen will disappear and the wallet will open up.
11) Always backup your wallet first.

Let me know about any issues that you may encounter.

But transactions from other exchanges were working smoothly, so my thought was that maybe c-cex.com needs to just resync their wallet. Is that not a possible cause?

It happens sometimes when trex add coins and suddenly cex has problems with withdraw. This is not first time so I knew that and sent my coins to wallet before trex.

As in ccex does this so they can dump all over trex.

Tried that, didn't work. Got it working now though by deleting everything in the Appdata folder apart from the wallet.dat & then re-run the wallet.

My concern however, is the coins I sent to trex 1.5 hours ago - in the transactions tab it says 'conflicted' - never seen this before on an alt coin, does that mean I have lost those coins?

Yes c-cex coins will be recovered. They are behind the main chain. This makes it very simple.

Do not worry! Once c-cex updates to the correct chain (the one your wallet is on) your coins will appear instantly.

For the record my wallet is now synching fine & coins have arrived on trex. All is good.

Its seems that c-cex is on the wrong fork but bittrex is on the right fork , bittrex is on the same blocks as my pool , i just sent some coins to trex and i received them , c-cex wallet got stuck on block 4662

Some guys from the chat were trying to reach out to the support, but sadly in vain. Currently, we're guessing if they're still sleeping.

Wallet has syncing issues. Tried to full resync but it is not syncing according to block explorer. All coins sent/non-received should be fine. We just need to get wallet to right fork. Dev, please get in touch.

To not waste any money (in case something went wrong), I sent a test transaction of 3000 coins to make sure things work out. Guys, this is important - always (!!) do a test transaction before sending what you intend to send. Even though things will probably get fixed with XMS, you're not blocked from trading (because of stuck coins) when sending only test amounts.

Thanks for your reply. This is a bit of a relief. But anyway, this has kind of destroyed the launch on Bittrex, as users became a bit anxious.
But I guess those are exactly the issues we have to deal with, from time to time, in this still quite new territory.

Now, let's hope that things progress well and we can quickly switch to the correct chain, so trading can continue! :)

For those, who has issues syncing:
We were able to full resync well with fresh wallet.dat
After that - stop wallet, move Your wallet.dat back and launch with -rescan option. Should be fine.

Our wallet opened for deposits/withdrawals.

my coins that i withdrew to trex are nowhere to be found. Not on c-cex, not on trex. Can't find the txid in the block explorer too.

Don't think about coins sent as actual coins being sent. Think about it as an accounting entry into the public ledger that is not limited to a specific location, company or person. Any entry into the true and correct ledger (correct block chain) is there for any compatible application (exchange wallet in this case) to interpret and display. If you sent coins, the entry into the ledger has been made. As soon as whichever party in question upgrades their blockchain interpreter (wallet) so that it can read the block chain and know how many coins are assigned to each address at the current block height, the coins will be displayed at the destination address in their wallet.

the dev seems inexperienced and caused these issues, i mean how can you release a pos coin without running a checkpointing wallet, nor controlling the checkpoints private key. I guess he discovered it after the fact and had to fork to add a new checkpointing key. But again first thing you do when forking is to alert exchanges!

Look in the "Transactions" page on Suprnova. Does the withdrawal transaction have a TX ID assigned? If not, your coins are stuck at Surpnova, and you need to contact OC. That's happens fropm time to time.

It means your coins are successfully sent out of Suprnova... The block number is always n/a, only TX ID is important.

I would try to find that TX ID in both available block explorers. But anyway, the best what can be done now - to wait and try to not worry :)

Uh I think repairwallet should work as it won't be redeemed on the other end.

Deleting everything but the wallet.dat and resynching worked for me.

just re-downloaded wallet. cleaned out everything in roaming, added wallet.dat/addnodes, all is good.

Looks like you guys are struggling with the syncing. I made a new bootstrap.dat file up to block 6447. The link is in the post with the Raspberry Pi instructions. There is also a untarred version to make it easy for the Windows users. Just copy the bootstrap.dat file into directory where your wallet file is and run the wallet client.

I had similar problems from time to time with other coins (BTC, LTC). I don't know if that's the case with yours, but for me, this occurred when I managed the private keys for the same wallet on different machines, e.g. for Bitcoin managing the Mycelium wallet on my mobile and the bitcoin-qt on my notebook, or in the case of XMS, maybe running the official wallet plus the RaspberryPi one using the same private keys.

My guess is that this is due to how transactions are done: for every transaction, you have an output of the amount you're sending, plus the remaining amount of coins you have in your wallet. Those are sent to an internally generated, new address which "resolves" to your local wallet.
If you now have two wallets using the same private keys, the one you didn't send from doesn't know about the private keys of the newly generated address, thus showing a mismatch in values.

But nothing gets lost in this process, which is why the -rescan option corrects the mismatch.

I don't know if that's 100% true what I said, but it sounds as if it could make sense. Would be nice if anyone could confirm or correct what I stated. :)

It depends if they were mined on the correct fork. All coins mined on an incorrect fork will have been wasted hash and the coins lost as there will be no accounting entry on the correct block chain crediting you with the coins. All coins mined on the correct fork but sent on an incorrect fork will still exist on the correct fork. As soon as the fork is corrected those coins will be back.

I have tried for 2 days to get the desktop wallet to sync & have tried:

- Adding all nodes to .conf
- Deleting all %appdata files apart from wallet.dat & restarting wallet
- On a different machine
- Disabling firewall
- Waiting 48 hours

I have a lot of coins & spent a fair amount on mining them, I would appreciate a little help in getting my wallet to sync please.
