The Lyra2REv2 algorithm is purpose-built to be ASIC resistant, which levels the playing field for entry level miners.

Stealth addresses facilitate the private exchange of funds between parties.

Rarity is a factor that inherently creates value. Lower rewards, small premine and a finite supply all add to the overall value of the Zoom

A host of others features including fast confirmations, full decentralization, and community driven support make the Zoom a well rounded cryptocurrency.

Just a quick question from a newbie: you're using the lyra2ra algo in your OP, but every pool says to use scrypt (= not asic resistant AFAIK)... Why?

If you quote my pool https://zoom.miningpool.cc (https://zoom.miningpool.cc) it is Lyra2RE and only the getting started page is outdated. I have to change it soon.
Put your miner to it with algo option Lyra2

Seems to me a lot of people dont realise the plans and the scarcity of Zoom and just want to give it away on Bleutrade. In the end they will realise there mistake and be back buying it back at twice the price.

You need to promote the coin, it needs more miners and buyers and some trollbox promo with giveaways.
Then...
You need a high volume exchange.
Options ... pay for a trex listing
or seriously put together your proposal and plan to approach a more reputable exchange like Poloniex

first things first though is some promotion to increase your user base

Building a face book page now and twitter and starting to build an eco- system where we have our own pools exchange and ATMs and debit card.Coin as Zoom is two days old we will get there through time.

I think B-MoneyXcan said it well. We need more exposure, and higher volume exchange. While bleutrade is a nice exchange (I like the light weight feel it has) it has extremely low volume on all coins it has listed, and before yesterday i had never visited it (before coinmaster222 named it in a previous post i had never even heard of it).

At the moment nothing,we will decide that when the coin stabilises. The premine will never be dumped on the exchange,I may from time to time sell 100 to pay for things we need but not in the next month anyway.

A dump of 200+coins at 100K sat and below.

I would personally organize some giveaways or bounties with some of the premine pot.
The ICO may have turned off a few miners that would of jumped on but with the mining period launched at the same time as the ICO this would most likely not be the case. I think you need a yobit and a bleutrade as starter exchanges. The chat box on yobit seems a bit busier than bleutrade's.

Your also in competition with a bunch of useless POS coins, you need something special... something new!

Mostly because he was a marketing guy and that he was real good at. Apple is also a lot more than software and always has been. Also many CEO have no idea how to make the stuff their company makes as it's not their job to do so. Still it does seem ironic he had no idea to read/write or even understand any code.

I believe I made the first Zoom purchases on Bleutrade. Since then the price has dropped which is WONDERFUL ;D I don't have a lot of money so I'm happy to pick up some Zoom for cheap. I got some today for BTC0.0015 so I'm steadily building up my balance. If anyone wants to donate some Zoom, I'll gladly take it.

My Zoom address: ieDahQax282iint3jTMbSaofvZEYviPZ5s

I like the stealth feature of Zoom. I also like the rarity feature (so many coins just don't get that). Those are great, but the thing that really sold me was the idea of faster confirmations. I had a Bitcoin transaction that took over two days to confirm and that is just unacceptable. I have Freicoin transactions dating back over two weeks ago that STILL have not confirmed. This is a real problem. I will gladly invest what little I can into improvements to the whole process.

The other day I had some small amount of Litecoin that I deposited into my Bleutrade account. I made the transaction from my wallet. Then I clicked over to my Bleutrade account and it was already deposited AND confirmed! I couldn't believe it. It takes several minutes to get my Bitcoin confirmed. So when I saw that Zoom had a feature of fast confirmations, that hooked me. I still haven't tested it, but I'm certainly going to when I can.

Zoom is on the right path. There is much room for innovation in cryptocurrencies.

A couple other innovations I'm looking to invest in:

Non-divisible coins. What an innovation that would be! You know, like the coins people grew up with and have been using for centuries.

Numbered coins like many collectibles. Doesn't even have to be numbered. Anything that gives a coin individuality.

Imagine coins that each have an individual letter. Now imagine having to pay someone 4 coins, but those coins also have to spell a word. This could be used as a code, a personalized gift, a message to the collection agent, etc. Someone might try to corner the market on "R" coins, so they might have a separate value.

There is also the possibility of coins that have sounds or music. Imagine having to pay someone in Hank Williams or Taylor Swift or Aerosmith songs. Or it might be possible to send a personalized recording or photo with your coin.

Endless possibilities.

Use my own money to start with as I did to buy the exchange, the lead Dev made the Pool and it will be for more than one coin, you just use what resources you can.Not one of the Dev team will make money,we are not here to do that but advance Crypto currencies like Zoom. Two hours 15 mins and my Bitcoin has not confirmed we need something better.

I see the ICO offering may be more of a detriment to the success of the coin. Should be removed from the ANN and list the amounts sold. Most hate ICO's after all the scams. Don't want to see ZOOM suffer because of this.

Title: Re: [ANN] Zoom - ASIC Resistant Cryptocurrency
Post by: coinmaster222 on July 16, 2015, 06:58:55 PM
I have not sold any coins in fact i bought some I am thousands of dollars out of pocket so is the lead dev thats why coins have ICOs if it dont have one its not going to work.Look at the Major coins Neucoin 98% Ripple 100% they all need money to progress.I looked at an ATM today $10,000 and I have already spent more than that.! To list on Bittrex is 600 for an example.

Not disagreeing with you about the purpose of an ICO but right now we need more miners and traders. Someone posted a link to ZOOM in the Yobit chat room and the first comment was about another scam ICO. They probably didn't even get to the POW portion. All im saying is what should be highlighted is POW, the Algo and the low supply! Your obviously an active team.

For you to make money on this coin, Zoom has to be a business and you cant run a business on fresh air.I dont mean me making money I mean bills being paid.Regardless what people say in the end the coin will speak for itself.Look at UNO same really as Zoom but with no development but trading 10 times higher. The reason the community believe in it and back it and do things for it,thats what we need here.

Thats another 200 i bought for a stupid price once we run out of already mined coins then just be the daily mined coins on sale,in a week or so the price will have risen by 5 fold.Right making a new proper business logo tomorrow and get it into a video to advertise Zoom.Just bought another website.....ZoomCoins.website to run video Ads on when finished

Uno was trading at 0.010000 earlier 10x the price of Zoom.It has same amount of coins to mine,Zoom has better features better wallet with stealth addresses and faster transactions. The difference to make it worth 10 times more it has a community that cares. So dont complain to Dev about exchanges or miners maybe if you formed a community the price would rise.

I have a question.

Let's say I'm selling a baseball cap online. Somebody says they sent me one Zoom as payment but they never received their baseball cap from me. I check my account and don't see their payment. They send me a screenshot of the transaction but I still can't find it on my end. They could be trying to rip me off, but they think I might be trying to rip them off. The only way to really resolve this is to have a record of the payment viewable in the blockchain that verifies they sent it and I received it. It is not necessary to reveal each transaction, just the disputed transactions. This would keep the records anonymous unless both parties agree to reveal the details in order to resolve a dispute.

Is such a thing possible?

If they have a valid txid that shows their transaction to your address completed with say 30 confirmations, then you should send the cap. Getting the coins to show in your client is usually just a matter of rescanning for missed transactions.

Alternatively, you could do a multi-signature escrow transaction. You would both agree to the terms of the escrow service, ie: the coins will be released to you once a valid invoice and tracking number are issued.

Why can't I find useable instructions for mining coins? Tutorials are simple to make. Just do it and briefly explain each step. No history or background is needed.

--exapool.com gives absolutely zero indication as to what to do or how to start.

--I do not need it explained on how to install a wallet.

--I do not need to hear about Satoshi Nakamoto for the 8,000,000th time.

--I do not need an explanation on what mining is or how it is done. That does not help me install the miner. If I want to understand hash rates or difficulty levels then I'll find that elsewhere.

--I do not want packed files that require suspicious/obscure software to unpack them.

I want an explanation on how to get a miner safely up and working and earning coins on my laptop.

I assume the setup would be the same as this pool

stratum+tcp://stratum.zoom.co:3333 Username: ZoomAddress Password: anything

but in this case for Exapool do this:

stratum+tcp://   [nl.exapool.com or tx.exapool.com] :Port = one of these at http://www.exapool.com/getting_started

In order to mine this coin you need to have a mining rig with a bunch of graphics cards (it is possible to do with your laptops CPU, but extremely inefficient). I have quoted the OP below with links for the mining software needed.

Alternately you can rent a rig for bitcoin at https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/lyra2re (https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/lyra2re?ref=1412)

For some unknown reason my computer does not mine coins after going to that website. Perhaps my computer is broken. Maybe the website is not working. Or, if I may be so bold as to think outside the box, possibly there is more involved in mining coins than clicking on that link to a website. I shudder to think that additional steps are required to get one's computer safely up and working at mining coins.

Between looking at that page of the website and mining coins there must be some sort of steps involved. If there are steps involved then I would be very, very happy to know what those steps are. Another term for those steps would be an "explanation" or a "tutorial". They could also be called "instructions".

Here is an example of "instructions":

--Go to xyz.com and download cpuminer.
--unzip the cpuminer into a folder.
--open up a notepad and put in: blahblahblah/blahblah+=773crypticnonsensecode12
--rename the txt file: gobbledygook.bat
--jump vertically three times and touch your winkie

Here is an example of something extremely not helpful:

--stratum+tcp://stratum.zoom.co:3333 Username: ZoomAddress Password: anything

  :D

If your new to mining, you could get some assistance with setting up your miner in this thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=42.0 or maybe someone can help you out here.

If you have some btc to spend.

I personally only rent hash.. miningrigrentals is a good option. Once you've rented a rig, the setup is very easy as you don't necessarily have to configure a miner directly. At this time though, it seems a bit cheaper to buy due to the Net Hash.. up over 300MH :) The higher the hash, the harder to mine.

https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/lyra2re

Get a rig to mine ZOOM. How to figure out your cost?
I see a 6.3MH rig that would cost 0.01890000 BTC for 24hrs

That would get you maybe 10-15 if your lucky of Zoom
I use the statistics page on a pool to guage but its never the actual so don't take it seriously! I always estimate less
https://zoom.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

These are things you have to take into consideration before renting hash or buying coins direct, that same btc would get you at minimum 18 coins on bleutrade and more if you have some patience as a buyer.

Left a comment at github and now of to be the producer in a small promotional video for Zoom, and the Lead developer is working on an Android wallet should have it relatively soon. One thing I should note the Dev team are on different continents so there is a huge time difference between us and sometimes we get little sleep to catch up with one another,so some days we have to catch up on that sleep and you dont see us.Were not gone were sleeping.

We often hear the phrase: “Bitcoin might fail, but the technology is here to stay.” Indeed, while Bitcoin has experienced unprecedented success by being first on the scene, other alternative cryptocurrencies like Zoom could be only a hardfork away from taking the top spot.

How do you rent rigs to mine coins if you don't know how to mine coins? Let's get to the mining coins first then we can discuss all the advice stuff that you are assuming I'm not aware of.

Do you still need help to mine?

I know it is hard to start because there is not a step by step tutorial.

Cheers
lahlor
I like your pool, but a 0.2 ZOOM payout TX fee looks too high.
Lower it and more miners will come.

Googling Zoom Coin brings up Monaco Rare Coins >:( I think the Youtube videos should have links to this Zoom forum and Bleutrade in the info (could be a Bleutrade affiliate link, too).

Also, Zoom Coin will never be less than 84 times rarer than Bitcoin and it is selling today at 1666 times LESS than Bitcoin. That is 139,944th the value of a Bitcoin (84 x 1666).

If I understand correctly, it cannot be mined profitably at the price it is being sold for today (BTC0.00059997 per Zoom). This is not the time to cry and weep over the price of a crypto with active development that hardly anyone has heard of.

Community? It has only been around for a few days now so it is ridiculous to expect any community to have emerged so fast. Community takes time. Price establishment will take time.

I'm currently looking in to selling Dominos or Burger King e-gift cards for Zoom. An e-gift card can be emailed so it could be a quick transaction and people could use their Zoom right away. I have a website that I would convert, but I'm not a web developer so it might be a while. I also have to create a means of establishing credibility. But the transaction volume would be low enough to allow people to not freak out if a transaction doesn't go smoothly.

I'm excited. I can't wait for the weekend so I'll have more time to play with this.

Being only a Jr.Member myself, can I assume you as a Hero Member understand without mining there is no coin.  I spend MY money to mine, hopefully sell it back at a profit and continue mining.  Without mining there is no coin, unless you go to Proof of Stake... and that's worked out so well.

So in the logic you guys are putting forth... I should just buy the coin with the money I'm spending on mining it and so should the other miners.  How is the coin going to work if there are no miners?  It's not Proof of Stake.  No miners, no coin.  I mine it, I sell it, I pay for my expenses, I mine it again.  What are you doing?  I'll tell you, buying some and hoping everybody else makes you money.

No your logic is wrong.  Let's say we both spend $100 on this coin.  You buy $100 and hope it goes up.  I buy/have $100 worth of energy, equipment and then additional labor to maintain that mining operation.  Which includes selling back the coins or else I will have to spend the next $100, and the next $100.

I can't believe I'm wasting my time educating some people on how this works.  So you just keep buying $100 and I'll keep working and spending my $100 to make sure you have a chance at making money off of the people who develop/mine/promote this coin.

As a miner, I've taken some of the advise here.  I'm not selling, hanging on to the coin, but I've stopped mining since I can't pay for it.  The network hash rate has now dropped by 50%.  There are 11 miners at Supernova.com mining the entire chain.  So, there are 50% less coins being generated and makes it even more rare.   Will see how that goes.

Supernova's displayed hashrate often shows 100% of the network hashrate, but that is incorrect. Recently, it's actually been 40-60%. Ideally this would be distributed among other pools.

... The network hash rate has now dropped by 50%. ....  So, there are 50% less coins being generated and makes it even more rare.

Thats not how mining works. The block reword stays the same regardless of how much hash power is mining the coin. If the hash rate dropped by 50% it means that those left mining now get double the coins  they did before for the same amount of hash power (once the difficulty adjusts).

The extra volume that bittrex has could lead to more buyers, or more miners. Either or which could cause the price to increase.

As for the $600 it takes to get listed on bittrex, from what i understand bittrex doesnt ask for BTC in order to be listed. But a scammer has been impersonating bittrex/bittrex-richie asking for BTC to get coins listed. (Source: GreedDev - http://pastebin.com/6zfXBRAC)

And it does not matter if you have one miner or 50,the same amount of coins will be mined just divided by how many mine the  coin.Once the price stabilizes as the coins gets rarer,(I have bought 3400 and wont be a seller this summer)I may consider other exchanges.Theres two other options Zoom  Coins now has bought Altbitex .com outright,I paid for it in Cash and BTC and it will come online shortly trading in about 5 coins, and of course you can offer parcels of coins for sale on here commission free and escrowed by one of the Dev team naming your price. As the coins get rarer wont be easy to sell say 500 at a specific price but you could here. There are quite a few people who would buy 500 at a time including myself.
Zoom Coins Inc actually owns a few things and we are working on building or buying businesses outside the Crypto world that are or could be profitable, and later on this year considering Zoom shares giving you a piece of ownership of the business and Coin, that pays a monthly dividend but thats still in the melting pot.We are just at the start of a long road to profitability and you should want to be in on the ground floor.
If we do that the amount of shares you can buy will be linked to the number of coins you own.The proceeds would allow us to expand Zoom by buying more assets giving you more profit sharing.

If we raised money through shares and maybe without, I think a lending club would be good.Loans backed up by collateral be it Zoom coins or other crypto would have to be thought out carefully and Altbitex exchange to take credit cards and debit cards to fund account.See Zoom is not just a coin but a growing business

Ps time for bed here, but if those cheap coins are still on Bleutrade when I get up I am buying them, will give some of the non miners a chance to get some first before I sweep them up.Whoever is selling those are just crazy or miners just dumping the weekends total.

And it does not matter if you have one miner or 50,the same amount of coins will be mined....

I would argue that if more people (or at least more hash power) was mining this coin the price would go up. This would be due to the fact that those miners dumping would need to sell at a higher price to make any sort of profit.

Once we get to block 500002 and the block reward halves we should see a similar effect.

I say all this as a miner (mining this coin from day one) that is holding the vast majority of what he has mined (i have sold less then 5% of what i have mined), and is happy with the lack of other miners ATM (means more coins for me), but likes this coin.

I know between mining now and again and buying cheap I have over 3000 of own and when I get up in about 5 hours if that cheap 600 is still there I will have them.Been spending the last couple of days when i feel up to it building a site like shapeshifter and another one like BTCLend hope to incorporate them into Zoom Coins Inc WHEN i finally finish them

How do you rent rigs to mine coins if you don't know how to mine coins? Let's get to the mining coins first then we can discuss all the advice stuff that you are assuming I'm not aware of.

Do you still need help to mine?

I know it is hard to start because there is not a step by step tutorial.

Yes. That would be great. I have no idea why this is so difficult for people to explain.

Let me clarify what it is that I want. I want to know how to mine Zoom on my computer.

If I need more hash rate, I'll worry about that LATER.

If I want to rent rigs, I'll worry about that LATER.

If I want to know about a better way to invest in Zoom, I'll worry about that LATER.

I'm asking for how to set up my computer/laptop to mine Zoom. I don't even care if I actually get any Zoom from the mining. Just get me to the part where I am mining Zoom. I already have a large stake of Zoom so I don't need the actual Zoom right now. I need to know how to set up my computer to mine Zoom. That's all.

Thank you :)

P.S. If you see this posting in the future and nobody has responded with instructions on how to mine Zoom then please just post some instructions. You don't have to ask me. Other people might also like to know how to mine Zoom. Thanks.

Several days ago I went to coin.mx and paid for $500 worth of Bitcoin on my credit card. LUCKILY I immediately sent it to my Bleutrade account because within a few hours they were on the news because the owners were arrested and the site was shut down. Had I left my Bitcoin on that exchange I would have lost it all.

I then immediately purchased a lot of Zoom and sent it to a wallet I keep offline. It is RISKY to buy Bitcoin and therefore risky to buy Zoom. I don't trust exchanges for any longer than I have to. I would much rather get my Zoom from mining.

Apparently it is easy to get Zoom from mining since it is being dumped on the market. I think that miners who are dumping so much Zoom on the market might find appreciation for their hobby (apparently that is what some want) when they move on to a different crypto. It is extremely ignorant to expect us to appreciate their efforts when they are making no personal investment into Zoom.

It would be awesome if somebody would teach how to mine Zoom so those of us who want to invest in Zoom can and those who want to mine and dump can move on.

Based on your past posts it seems you want information on mining that is simple. The thing is, unless you want to not earn rewards or worse yet fry your computer, you need to do some research. There simply is no super simple way. Google Lyra2RE mining and you will find all the information you need to get started. But you DO have to do a little work. Otherwise, maybe a Proof of Stake coin is better for you. That said if you just want to mine and don't care if you will have enough hashing power for rewards, the simplest and safest way is to open your wallet, go to "help" and then "debug window" and then "console" and type in : setgenerate true -1

Hit enter.

You will then be CPU mining at low intensity.

Hi,

currently it is hard for me to understand that someone is asking for a how-to mine here in the special thread. But anyway. I will provide a short sum:

1. Decide for CPU or GPU mining
2. register at one pool of your choice (i.e. http://zoom.miningpool.cc (http://zoom.miningpool.cc)) and create a worker > my account > woker

for CPU Mining
1. Download the software https://euros.international/AV7MNWXQVRAF7bQw9O8v/cpuminer-multi-rel1.0.9.7z (https://euros.international/AV7MNWXQVRAF7bQw9O8v/cpuminer-multi-rel1.0.9.7z)
2. unpack the zip to any folder you want.
3. navigate to he unpacked folder and edit the file "RUN-Lyra.bat" (right click > edit)
4. now edit the following entries and insert your usernames and passwords
cpuminer-multi-mingw64 -a lyra2 -u tpruvot.lyra -p x -o stratum+tcp://pool.verters.com:4444 -b 0.0.0.0:4048 -o stratum+tcp://zoom.miningpool.cc:3878 -u yourpoolusername.workername -p workerpassword

5. save the file and run it by doubleclick on it.
6. Well done! You are mining Zoom with your CPU

for GPU Mining
1. Download the software ATI https://euros.international/AV7MNWXQVRAF7bQw9O8v/sgminer-5-1-0-lyra2re-pallas.zip (https://euros.international/AV7MNWXQVRAF7bQw9O8v/sgminer-5-1-0-lyra2re-pallas.zip) NVIDIA https://euros.international/AV7MNWXQVRAF7bQw9O8v/ccminer-sp-mod-r53-win.7z (https://euros.international/AV7MNWXQVRAF7bQw9O8v/ccminer-sp-mod-r53-win.7z)
2. unpack the zip to any folder you want
3. navigate to he unpacked folder and edit the file "LYRA2RE-START.bat" (right click > edit) >>>> for ATI
4. now edit the following entries and insert your usernames and passwords
sgminer.exe --no-submit-stale --kernel Lyra2RE -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3342 -u 14vZ4DHDzhttzKyNAmLzpRq6VLmCGb16vX -p d=0.002 -o stratum+tcp://zoom.miningpool.cc:3878 -u yourpoolusername.workername -p workerpassword -I 19 -w 64 -g 2

the file for NVIDIA should be looking the same and it should be the same to edit it.
You can adjust some parameters in the script but this is more complicated to explain. :)

cheers

Title: Re: [ANN] Zoom - ASIC Resistant Cryptocurrency
Post by: upgradeadvice on August 01, 2015, 09:40:02 PM
The advantage, aside from keeping with current upstream code, is that the v2 provides a "greater ratio of GPU to CPU hashrate". This is to thwart the botnet that is mining Vertcoin and there is a chance that the botmaster will point his zombies to another Lyra2re coin like ours. The fork is a preventative measure.

I'm currently doing internal testing, and will have a testnet pool set up at Exapool very soon.

We will be forking at block 50,000 (~15 days) unless there are any objections. We can do it sooner if we have consensus among the pool ops and miners.

Bleutrade uses "livenet" and those coins won't transfer to "testnet" or vice versa

0.10.0 Windows Wallet
https[Suspicious link removed]

Use this wallet in testnet mode to generate a testnet address for mining zoom-testnet @ exapool.com

I downloaded and installed the wallet. Then I generated a test stealth address. I copied the stealth address and tried to make a test withdrawal from my Bleutrade account, but it said "Invalid withdraw address!"

Is that a Bleutrade issue or a Zoom issue?

Please check out Zoom Bank   www.zoomcoin.website
5% per month? If I deposit 3000 Zoom then in 8 years I would have over 324,000 Zoom. But there will only ever be 250,000 Zoom. Please explain how that's possible.
your math is very wrong  ;)

That is not a response from a legitimate businessperson.

So, this was a scam.

You got me. I fell for it.

For those just joining, the website offered 5% per month for zoom coin deposits. That would be over 324,000 after 8 years with a 3000 zoom coin deposit. Since there would only be 250,000 coins it would be impossible to make that much. When I called them out on the math, these kids broke character and fraud was revealed.

I've told you YOUR MATH IS WRONG!

-without monthly capitalization of interest you can get ~ 14440 zoom after 8 years (3000 zoom initial deposit)
- with monthly capitalization of interest you get ~17400 zoom after 8 years (3000 zoom initial deposit)

PS: you can get that result (324000)  only if you deposit each month 3000 zoom  :)))) loool

Those ICO coins should have been destroyed. The balance just seems to be dwindling. Easy profit taking for nothing

Title: Re: [ANN] Zoom - ASIC Resistant Cryptocurrency

for Starters none of the ICO coins have been sold, some were given to people for translations and other things. If they had been destroyed who would have paid for that? Some were moved to pay the interest at the bank and some will be used for other projects.\NONE HAVE BEEN SOLD though that was the purpose of the ICO in the first place. As for easy profit taking,at this time I am several 1000 dollars out of pocket.

Title: Re: [ANN] Zoom - ASIC Resistant Cryptocurrency

It's very noble of you coinmaster to buy so many of the coins, but you are essentially paying a couple of big miners who are benefiting from the slow diff-retarget.
They are plowing through the blocks and when the diff is finally quite high they leave again, leaving the rest mining with long blocktimes.

Afterwards they/he/she dumps into your (I presume) buy orders for a nice profit, just so you don't wonder why the huge dumping at these prices.

Anyway, I still want to thank you and "upgradeadvice" for a really nice development on this coin. This has really surprised me, as the original structure of this coin is a very typical one for a 2015 scam-altcoin, but you guys have really been a nice positive surprise   :)

If this is a legitimate coin then coinmaster222 ruined it. When a customer looked askance at how one could pay 5% per month compounded over 8 years coinmaster222 answered:

"well you deposit 3000 and come back in 8 years and we will find out lol"

That is not at all assuring. That is what a crook would say. Would you want to leave your money with a person who answers like that? It's exactly the opposite of customer service. Whatever resources any coin developers put into this coin was destroyed by coinmaster222's response.

Compound interest was implied at the "Zoom Bank" as paying 5% per month. If one understands compound interest then it is easy to calculate what that would be in 8 years if one deposited 3000 coins. Instead of acknowledging the discrepancy and showing a correction (as a business would) it was scoffed at and insults thrown (like a kid would). A cohort suffering from innumeracy suggested an alternate explanation which was not what the bank offered.

In addition, insulting a customer is astonishing. It's like coinmaster222 wants to destroy this coin with their incredible incompetence. Or they are simply very naive. The effect is the same either way.

Cryptocurrencies are rife with pump and dump schemes, Ponzi schemes, fly-by-night developers, and other shenanigans. The primary basic, most elementary beginner's level coin promotion rule is to provide CREDIBILITY. How perfectly sad that this has to be explained. The first sign of something awry and it is best to get out ASAP. As a former large Zoom coin holder I was furious and I still am. I want no part of this disastrous business person's association with this coin. There are too many coins with intelligent teams supporting them to waste my time and money with this mess.

Good luck.

First of all as interest is paid on the first of every month and was stated in a question answered here so forget the compounding.Really do you take a person seriously that starts talking about holding the coins in the bank 8 years he is just nit picking and a coin holder here told him several times his maths were wrong.
Legitimate developers have to listen to people throw accusations about every day so enlight of this person I will only answer reasonable questions from coin holders from now on.
ps There are people out there with ulterior motives to bring this coin down but they will try my patience too far one day

As a former supporter of ZOOM
I agree

I simply shook my head at his response to that same question, but was not entirely surprised considering how all the other input from outsiders to this project has been taken.

One thing to know as a business person is that you need to remember you still have plenty to learn and input from your customers as well as profits or losses/ failures and gains are GREAT learning experiences.

I think ZOOM needs its own communications and public relations department :D

Maybe ill be back. I like your idea ZOOM....

There are plenty of miners around, and plenty of hard work being put into this coin. We have big things in the works, and the constant FUD arising from what I assume to be language barrier issues is a little concerning. I understand that it comes with the territory, so I'd like to offer any help needed in setting up threads or post templates so people can discuss Zoom in their native language.

nl.exapool.com and I've tried ports 5332,5334,5336,5338...Pool accepts roughly a third of the shares and rejects the rest

Use 5333 for now, its set to diff 0.2-2.

Ok will give it a try. Just going through the sgminer thread to see if I'm messing something up.

I think its a pool difficulty multiplier issue with lyra2re2. I'm still getting shares on nicehash and my cpu, so I'm going to leave it for now instead of taking down the pool.

I don't think it's the pool, I seem to be the only miner having problems. Could be a driver issue on my end and I will look at that next. If I figure it out I will let
you know...

Thanks.
I've also changed port 5333 on Exapool to run diff 0.4-8 which is what Nicehash is asking for.

Are you using a 280x? I think the miners are having a problem with this particular card.

For AMD cards, use Catalyst 14.4 ( also try it to run with --difficulty-multiplier)  the cpu miner  can be found on vertcoin topic.. for me everything works fine ( amd card + cpu miner)

As for the sites,www.bitsintheclouds.com is live now and hope it gets customers,www.ziftrsales.com will be live soon a SEO company and is a Microsoft Partner in SEO and web security and Bing professional Licensed SEO company and two others in the final stages of completion.Sorry but my health holds me back a bit in getting things done, but I will get there lol

Its alive and well and i can give you hosting for the pool.A lot of things have happened in my life this last week,I have went to stage three and my dearest niece died tonight. Some bastard thought he was smart and while I was in care they hacked my computer and stole all my bitcoin and hash out of CEX.io and money out of my savings. They were rumbled by Simon Dodds trying to steal my banx shares but not to fear the law enforcement is on them and if there overseas Interpol will take it up.Even using a VPN the computer crimes police say they can track that back to the original IP so be waiting for the knock on the door my friend
I have to find out why the new wallet does not seem to work if its a hosting problem with the lead dev I have 3 servers of my own it can be put on them.We will get Zoom back on track, that I promise

Zoom coins to be taken over by an Indian/pakistani hosting site to use as tokens to buy hosting, could put the price up to about 50c according to the price structure they have.Talks still ongoing but should settle early next month. The coins will still be traded on the exchange but you would have the ability to exchange them for hosting and VPS will update you as things progress

All wallets should sync with those nodes.Well as no one seems to complain about the coin getting a new team its time to start to put it together So have we any guys out there with coin skills that want to be part of the team??? in any capacity.Be great if the old head Dev came back I see he has worked on several coins doing good stuff.

Maybe look into the Cerium combine project? Adam left a message about it a few posts back.

It wouldn't be hard to get everything back up and running. The VPS where all Zoom services went down but I have backups.
I had 3 vps running 12 services on subdomains of zoomcoin.co. 6 of those would be required to get Copay working, along with proper dns seeding for the daemon and Qt software.

If you have a few bits to spare for server costs:
BTC: 3GEBy7qxwesdcfBBEkQXWDzGDfweFVb7co
ZOOM: e5NnnKaixA7pMGg7CvF2FHshPj7zJ6QhM6

Like the Lyra2REv2 algo, so tested mining and send some ZOOM to two seperate Zoom CoPay wallets. (Addresses starting with an 'e'?)
But the wallets stay at 0,00 ZOOM. Current BWS Webaddress seems to give errors on 'GET' request.

Is there a another working https://bws... available?

(Any idea where the ZOOM CoPay wallet private keys can be found for import into the QT Wallet?)

Any of you guys mining and holding ZOOM, there is new free CCMiner with boosted performance!

750TI is around 6.9mhs (factory boost clock 1345)

GTX 950 is around 10.5mhs (factory boost clock 1417)

GTX 960 is around 13.5mhs (factory boost clock 1392)

Also, SP_ is selling a updated private miner 0.10BTC with even higher performance

750TI is around 7.2mhs

GTX 950 is around 11.1mhs

GTX 960 is around 14.2mhs

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826901.0;topicseen

I've got the private miner from SP_, but that thread tells you where to get the free miner from Nicehash, just put bat file in it, if you cannot afford the private miner ;)

Found out the original developer of boosted Lyra2v2 ccminer:

Nanashi Meiyo-Meijin

There is source code for the ccminer, for those who can compile from source at:

https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AHk1hss4HZtCU60&id=C7ABE390AB1575E7%21825&cid=C7ABE390AB1575E7

So, the credit and fame should really go to the Japanese coder.

There is only 250,000 possible coins and of the roughly 60,000 mined at least half or more are stuck in old wallets so this a rare coin.I don't want Zoom to be one mans idea I want it to go in the direction holders want that's why I would like to make up a team.If interested please apply with skill set or just with your ideas

I also hope to make a small sig campaign but remember I do not hold zoom coins except what I am going to buy myself but I am prepared to finance the coin as I have did up to now but as I say it will only be a small one.I also hope to build our own pool shortly, and finish off two websites where all profits go towards making the coin great

So I can conclude that amount stuck in old wallet is let's say like burned ? and it is lost forever

Well that is a good idea I think, and as you say want to get a running first yeah i know that is very important.sadly for now I still do not have an idea :(

Yobit wrights the coin wallet is online that must mean that the network is working normally,

First of all to answer last question about Yobbit,I have asked them for details of their wallet but got no reply.I can tell you the chain is broken and not working.
Secondly due to many mitagating factors technical and my health we have had to delay the launch of Dark Zoom to the first of Febuary. The wallet is finished and everything is up to date, there is a very small premine of 2% to cover bounties but I stress no coins go to the developers. We had to bring in an outside guy to do some work but again he will be paid out of the 2% premine. We hope to mine the premine to day and get the wallets synched.I will let you know later today or tomorrow where we stand with everything. We hope to get new Ann up in the next 24 hrs. We hope to apply to a few exchanges in the next few days to list DarkZoom

how do they have the wallet online then? I've been watching zoom for a while and saw the wallet was sometimes delayed and some times online. This is very strange..

A dev was hired and paid a lot of money to get the blockchain going and wallet updated but he ran off with the money a typical trick on here.As I have now moved on and built a mining pool I may sell shares in it on Btcpop each batch of shares would receive a percentage of the profits and all money raised would be spent on expanding the pool.
At the minute we can mine Dash Litecoin and Ethereum but want to make the pool bigger and more coins. It needs to be advertised on paid advertising to get miners to come but through time profits will be made and paid out pro rata as dividends
