Jalapeno can only bitcoin mine, -nothing- else, and they aren't even available to the public yet. GPU's, motherboards, cpus, etc, have MUCH BROADER use.
Quit with the retard lowballs and make some realistic offers instead of clogging this thread with your "jokes". The OP's GPU hardware is 2 generations back already and the 7xxx series is more than half way through its product cycle now. With the advent of ASIC they will be scooping 5xxx cards on to China bound scrap ships with front end loaders by the metric ton. Nice PSU though. But you know what? I only need one gaming rig. While I definitely agree that the jury is still out on new technology, a bird in the hand is still making you more money than two with an unexpected delivery date that *might* not exist at all.
This is a good looking build, that said, I could not afford the package deal. What are you selling individual cards for? What are you selling individual cards for? looking at least $250 USD equivalent right now to consider the offer (i take silver/btc or usd, just would need the funds first) but i'm waiting on a pending offer for the whole rig which I like more EDIT: Currently two offers on the rig kind of close to my asking price, but not 100BTC Title: Re: [WTS] 2.1Ghash/s Rig 3x5970's, 880 Watts at the wall Post by: tacotime on October 09, 2012, 05:52:13 PM you guys should be aware this is a 2.2mh/s litecoin rig too.

I've seen a lot of people mining LTC. I'm not a huge fan of them, but I have a serious question: why? All of my research show that mining LTC is less profitable than mining BTC, both due to higher power usage (higher RAM speeds), and not being worth as much. I calculated this rig would make either .6BTC/day or .9BTC/day if you mined litecoins and convered to btc at current exchange rate on btc-e.com Title: Re: [WTS] BTC/LTC MINING RIG 2.1Ghash/2.2Mhash with 3x5970's, 880 Watts at the wall Post by: underminer on October 09, 2012, 06:19:07 PM Hey crazyates I think a lot of people are mining litecoions and then holding. I am probably going to do this myself. I read somewhere? Recently that litecoions are more profitable but not cant fine where that was.

All of my research show that mining LTC is less profitable than mining BTC, both due to higher power usage (higher RAM speeds), and not being worth as much. The worth is speculative. The price is going totally fucking bazonkers lately as people try and buy it all up before the difficulty gets high, as GPU miners are starting to lose faith in BTC as we enter the dawn of ASIC mining and there will be for sure 3 different ASIC miners from different companies by the end of the year. Title: Re: [WTS] BTC/LTC MINING RIG 2.1Ghash/2.2Mhash with 3x5970's, 880 Watts at the wall Post by: 420 on October 10, 2012, 04:46:45 AM It's hard for ME to say for sure because none of the actually 4 companies now claiming to be working on ASIC's have shown a model prototype or example of it actually hashing (not even pointed us to a pool with a username or a test net one day showing hashpower)
SO all this uncertainty, more reason to cash out of my rig now while I'm still up on my investment (not by much) after mining only for 3 months (I sure got to the game late :) ) Title: Re: [WTS] BTC/LTC MINING RIG 2.1Ghash/2.2Mhash with 3x5970's, 880 Watts at the wall Post by: underminer on October 10, 2012, 04:52:08 AM Speculative huh? I had no idea. :). Regardless, if it looks like a buck, sounds like a buck, and *sells* for a buck, it is for all practical purposes (for now) a buck.
