a friend of mine who plays in a band, told me about their problems distributing music without a label.

i thought there must be some plattform where bitcoin is heavily integrated (including benefits like less middleman fees).

is there anything out there where artists can put up there music for digital sales using bitcoin?

Ugh, there was a site that allowed you to distribute digital files of any kind for Bitcoin but I've completely blanked and forgotten what the name was. If I remember it, I'll let you know. :/

im quite "shocked" that something big in this space hasnt been done already, or at least isnt easy to find.

i heard there is a bitshares derivative (peertracks or something), but they are not finished yet.

i think its a very good platform where bitcoin can enter and grab a good business and get famous and get popularity. because what you told will definetly get benefited for the new comers in the music field who can approach and get chance to show their talent

I work forSongcoin,project for indie music artist,but it will be not any shop,now i met somebody on tweeter,thay are doing something really cool for indie.Maybe thay will colaborate with Songcoin.I will pm you later on about them

I have been to a few sites that are BTC powered for music; however the only sites I have been to do not have much of a selection.  I am looking for some new classical mixed with new style r&b. 

I remember that http://melodius.me is using the blockchain to store and distribute music in any way. Maybe this is what you are looking for.

Is this really problem with internet around? You can have use like dozen internet streaming services, you have dedicated sites to promote music as well where you can post your songs.
There is youtube and you can start your facebook or other social media to promote yourself. If your music is good people will flock to it. Bitcoin powered services are not needed here...
