I'll pay 10,000 XRP for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for ripples where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

Kinda funny ;D  Since everyone on this forum got some ripples for free, I don't think they're going to be worth much.  Considering they plan on continuing to release 50 bil ripples, it probably isn't going to be worth much...ever.

That's massively overvaluing XRP... but I also like the idea of getting the chance to be part of the first trade. Maybe a bunch of people could pledge some bitcoin towards it, and then one person order the pizza. Then divide out the 10,000 XRP accordingly?

How about you post an address for people to send the BTC. Then when, say, 1 BTC has been pledged, everyone send their BTC and you can place the order. People can post to say how much they've pledged and the address they would like to receive their XRP. My ripple address is:

Considering their plan is to "hold XRPs and hope they gain value" in order to make money I would say that you are very wrong.

10,000 XRP is worth about $10 right now.

True - I guess you could ALMOST get two Hot-n-Ready's from Little Caesars - not that I'd recommend it lol.  Ripple still has a bit of a way to go for 10k to buy two decent large pizzas per the original Lazlo (10k btc) request.

I just want to report that I successfully traded 10,000 ripples for two large pizzas, which arrived at 6:28. Mmmmm.

As requested, one was Marguerita and one was Half-and-Half (veggie supreme, and ground beef). The Garlic & Herb "crust dip" was a new concept for me, but I see there's some similar dip in laszlo's 2010 Bitcoin pizza photo (http://heliacal.net/~solar/bitcoin/pizza/), so I guess this just means I don't eat pizza often enough.

tpantlik, you are correct. So far we have only supported the pizza industry by using the XRP part of Ripple.

Someone else can be the first person to get pizza using unenforceable debt created from nothing. That would be more exciting.

Ripple is made for stuff like that. No reason why it can't happen.

That part about trust relationships in ripple is a little irritating thing in this concept. But if defaulted IOUs can be enforced externally like "U will not pay me for this IOUs, we are done as a friends" should work. Maybe not. But imagine some kind of collective enforcement like government legal approvement (I hate state  ;-), this is example) it will be more interesting than Bitcoin. B4 that there will be probably only gateways to address this.
