Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

It would at least give a starting point for the currency. 10,000 = ~ 20 USD. (2 pizzas at about 10USD each.)

When the Bitcoin Faucet started operation in 2010, it was giving out 5 bitcoins to anyone who asked. i confirm this, too bad i have lost that wallet from back then.. it had MANY value-less (by then) coins in there |

Considering they plan on continuing to release 50 bil ripples, it probably isn't going to be worth much...ever. Considering their plan is to "hold XRPs and hope they gain value" in order to make money I would say that you are very wrong. |

10,000 XRP is worth about $10 right now. True - I guess you could ALMOST get two Hot-n-Ready's from Little Caesars - not that I'd recommend it lol. Ripple still has a bit of a way to go for 10k to buy two decent large pizzas per the original Lazlo (10k btc) request. |

Long-term real success, changing the world kind of success, is better than making a few bucks quickly, even if the risk of total failure is significantly higher. |

I just want to report that I successfully traded 10,000 ripples for two large pizzas, which arrived at 6:28. Mmmmm. As requested, one was Marguerita and one was Half-and-Half (veggie supreme, and ground beef). The Garlic & Herb "crust dip" was a new concept for me, but I see there's some similar dip in laszlo's 2010 Bitcoin pizza photo, so I guess this just means I don't eat pizza often enough. Thanks FuzzyBear and Tirapon! I couldn't find my Casascius Ripple, so I included a Casascius Bitcoin in the photos instead.   |
