You like risk?
The mayor of NYC wants to speak with you about your 32 ounce sodas, and some lady from the "Health Dept of America" is about to ring your phone and check if you always wear a condom.   :D

No you guys like risk. I am risk adverse. That is why I sell the coins and dont hold them. When I get coins I get rid of them as fast as possible and to the lady from the health department if i wanted to have shitty sex and go home disappointed then I might want to wear a condom, but that situation has never come up,  and to bloomberg you can have my two liter when you pry it from my cheeto covered hands after my heart stops from heart disease.  :)

Stop hating and stop hi jacking!

Sorry to hijack your thread, ... seriously, but to interject.

Neither party is safe in a PayPal transaction.  PayPal could reverse a transaction even if neither party reported a problem even should they suspect the funds were being used in violation of their user agreement.  (Their user agreement prohibits their payment network being used for the purchase of digital currency, specifically.)

So the people that are putting up the cautionary flag are doing so for the benefit of both buyer and seller.

God damn guys I am not scared of scammers I have dealt with a least a hundred scammers at this point. i like catching them it is fun. I know what I am doing I know how to find scammers and i know how to sell for PP!

Seriously thanks for the concern but I have been selling for 7 months now. I have over 190 customers and I have had one charge back from the first month that i started.

I understand this issue from all sides. thanks

If you want to know how I sell for PP and dont get fucked you can go to my facebook page bitcoin friends and look at our procedure under photos.

I have sold around 90 coins on ebay with one charge back the first month I started.

So suck Paypal haters

" (Their user agreement prohibits their payment network being used for the purchase of digital currency, specifically.)" bullshit they let me sell coins all the time on ebay. I have talked to PP about 20 times about selling BTC they dont give a shit, they have helped me develop methods to sell it.

Why would the give a shit it is great for them they get the fees and dont have to insure the transactions. I take all the risk and they get paid no matter what.

You are the one who doesn't get it gweedo, dont worry about what I do. If I get scammed so the fuck what? It will just come out of the profit I got from selling to legit buyers. I look at this as a numbers game and a know who to trust game. My record speaks for it's self. I dont get scammed and I have tons of great customers.

You did it fine, the problem is that paypal can not agree with selling Bitcoins and cancel your account without an explanation. Is against its terms.

Good luck anyway. I still was waiting to mtgox to receive my bank transfer... but I preffer to pay with paypal. ;)

First PP doesnt know when I sell bitcoins, Second they dont care it is not against it's policy's for you to sell digital items. It is against their policy's to act as a currency exchange.
And lastly it is a good thing I dont sell bitcoins I sell the service of finding btc. The BTC are free you are paying me to find them. ( i know that is weak) but that is my story and I am sticking to it.

I don't have a dog in this fight I don't give 2 shits what you do or do not do with PP and BTC.

That said, I want you to read those 2 sentences that are word for word from your post and consider what you just did there.

I know the law says murder is a crime but you see, what I do is simply take people's money for the service of ensuring that a person specified by the customer ceases to live within a predetermined amount of time. I feel confident that when I put it that way the law will overlook my business activity in favor of taking on the people who just come right out and admit they are murderers for hire.

Just out of curiosity, what is the benefit of selling btc via paypal?  excuse my ignorance.

Title: Re: I buy and Sell for PAYPAL !! Get over it.
Post by: sublime5447 on March 03, 2013, 04:51:32 PM
I can't believe anyone wouldn't know but, The advantage is this... Everyone has it (in Us), if you sell btc on ebay that is the payment method everyone uses.

So I am a ebay seller. When I sell it goes like this. I sell btc I get paypal if I want to get more btc I have to transfer from PP to my BANK from BANK to DWOLLA from DWOLLA to MT, GOX  this process takes between 6 to 10 days. Then as soon as I get the coins they are all gone and I am out of inventory again.

So I really need to be able to go pp btc pp btc pp btc. instantly.

I think the point was sort of missed in your reply sublime...

The major benefit of selling BTC for Paypal on places like eBay is the high markup you get. BTC sold on eBay cost a lot more from what I've seen rather than if you purchased them at an exchange.

But what about the charge back problem?  This looks and sounds scary IMHO.

Chargebacks are scary. I'm not sure the methods that various sellers use, but user "velacreations" (who is now selling small amounts of BTC on here for Paypal) has a very good method setup. There are still risks, but they are minimalized as best as possible I think.

No you dont understand how ebay works. I dont get a crazy mark up and it is full of scammers. I would get $2 when I sold a coin off ebay. The fees are nuts on ebay. when coins were 14 I would sell then for 19.50 and would make 1.9 to 2 bucks.

I had Paypal freeze my account for 6 months while selling T-Shirts (not fake) with $10K in it.  They unlocked the account after about 3 weeks of hoop jumping...so if you can't even trust them with legitimate run-of-the-mill stuff, why the heck would you think you could trust them with borderline/gray area type of stuff.  They will suspend first, and let you try and prove them wrong later.

The argument of "Why would they care, they're making lots of fees" doesn't hold up.  I was paying them $5K-10K per year in fees over the last 5 years; that didn't count for anything.

Just make sure you keep your PP balance at zero and walk away from the account if it goes negative.

Ebay fraud is so easy.

Step 1: go to any underground crime forum.
Step 2: buy wholesale stolen PP and ebay linked accounts for $5 each.
Step 3: buy RDP proxies close to your stolen ebay accounts for $1 each.
Step 4: steal your face off on ebay **now with improved bitcoin cashout!

You're crazy for doing this

A) 15% is a crazy markup for bitcoins. (Your margin in the above scenario)
B) 40% markup to end user is retarded. Why anyone with half a brain would pay that much in fees is beyond me.

So glad my research keeps leading me to your posts sublime. Keep on truckin dude.

Hey, sub.

I may have been critical of your service before (not sure), but do wish to purchase $50 worth of coins from you today via PayPal.

This is a serious request, with no need to concern yourself if a chargeback from me.

I'm going to PM said offer.

Thanks in advance, bud.

Someone who sells BTC on eBay is knocking out the competition by using shell accounts.

These low to zero feedback users all of a sudden buy your listing but they never pay. Then you hear nothing from them even after sending messages. All in an attempt to take your listing off of the market and use up your monthly selling limit.

Then that leaves the market wide open for them.

Sublime, would you know anything about this?

Sure I know about that. I sell on ebay for a living and have done so for the last five years. i know all of the games that are played on ebay.
There are ways to prevent that from happening. I would highly recommend that you be very careful selling btc on ebay, it is very easy to be scammed.
I have seen lots of sellers come and go because of fraud.

Now to your real point...am I the one messing with your ebay ads? No..asshole

A couple names come to mind but I have no idea who is messing with you.

Paypal will always rule in the favor of the seller when it comes to digital currency. I know because I bought GW2 gold once which wasn't ever sent and I talked to them for fucking ever and told them their policies are asinine and lack nuance but that is the policy.

Title: Re: I buy and Sell for PAYPAL !! Get over it.
Post by: sublime5447 on March 23, 2013, 04:18:06 PM
Na they always side with the buyer. The only time they side with the seller is if you have shipping information or if the buyer sends as a gift.

Title: Re: I buy and Sell for PAYPAL !! Get over it.
Post by: Mosper on March 23, 2013, 04:20:57 PM
Not my experience on digital currency. There is nothing to provide shipping on and I spoke to like 6 different people up the food chain arguing their own TOS with them. If the seller responds at all and tells paypal it was digital currency being traded they will close the case not siding with either party but choosing to not make a decision at all and let the transaction stand. If it worked out differently for you then I would say make a larger effort next time because this is definitely what happens. The buyer and seller need to have acknowledged it was for a digital item.

My argument was "you are essentially telling me that I can go scam as many people as I want until I get enough reports to be closed for abuse but by then I've already taken 10K" and they're just like "Yes".

Title: Re: I buy and Sell for PAYPAL !! Get over it.
Post by: sublime5447 on March 23, 2013, 04:32:53 PM
People do exactly what you are talking about. Digital items are not covered under buyer or seller protection. If the buyer claims that they never received the item they will side with the buyer. If the buyer says it was unauthorized and they sent payment for an item they will side with the buyer, if the seller admits it is for a digital item they will side with the buyer, if the seller takes a payment sent as a gift from the personal options and from their home address they will side with the buyer. There is no seller protection for gift payments. The only way that you can send as a gift and get a refund is if your computer was hacked or you logged in from a new ip address. Payments sent from home as a gift are not refundable otherwise.

I eventually did the chargeback from my bank and told paypal to go fuck themselves and then hired a credit repair lawyer to fight a long war to have the mark from paypal removed from my credit. It costs me more in the end but the satisfaction of giving them the bird was worth it.

Seriously I know as much about their policy regarding digital products as the people working there now.

If a buyer files a dispute for a digital transaction they send a notice to the seller. If the seller does not respond in the number of allotted days (I believe it is 10) then it is closed automatically in favor of the buyer. If the seller responds AT ALL saying it was a digital good being sold then they automatically close the dispute effectively ruling in favor of the seller. If the seller receives too many disputes they close the account for an investigation of abuse on the part of the seller but the people who were already ripped off have no recourse. They literally responded to me asking does that mean I can go quickly rob people for ten thousand dollars and then just open a new account when they suspend that one over and over and they said yes.

You are not telling me anything and you are wrong about them siding in the favor of the seller for digital items. When the buyer opens a dispute they seize the funds from the seller and return it to the buyer if it was for a digital item.

the point is I know the risks I dont care what nerds on the internet have to say about it. If you think that my methods dont work then try and steal from me. If you are so cock sure that you are right then put it to the test. My site is bitcoin friends on facebook.

Fair enough I never get people that say you cant charge back. If you want to set up a test let me know. I wont jeopardize my paypal account but if you want to buy from me and try and charge back we can set up a test. You will be successful if you send your payment as a payment for an item. You will be unsuccessful if you send as a gift from your home IP address.

BTC is a little too volatile for me to put my money in. I've been doing the same thing as you sort of only through different means. Taking very very short positions on BTC via BTC jam and slowly but surely making small profits. I can't put money into something that swings and loses 10% of its value several times a day in under a minute.

All I said was you don't understand paypal, it is ok dude, don't have to get all rude.

Not everyone dealing with paypal is bad! Why not do paypal gift if trusted relationship has not been established yet ? In fact, paypal gift is the way to go - no fees from either side. I agree 100% trust is above all, but please, do not refute PP blatantly - it is excruciatingly difficult for newcomers like me to get upto speed in that way. I also agree that there are lots and lots of scammers here - so far within a month of me joining here, I have been PM'd by scammers from the other side of the table.

I only use paypal. I have other selling options but have only done one cash deal all others have been for paypal. People have options and they chose paypal.
I am just giving the people what they want! I just need suppliers!

They did just start charging a fee for sending a gift if you fund it with debit or credit card.  All my funds are from ebay sales or digital item sales so I get no fee when sending.

You could always experiment with mailing a code so they can redeem the coins to a verified paypal address. Then you have some sort of chargeback protection since you would have registered mail signature receipt on file to prove you lived up to your end of the deal. Problem is US mail sucks now, they want to go 3 days a week delivery or something

Could do this with new customers then slowly graduate them up a level of funding limits for instant buy in the future

I think it's funny how the topic of this thread is "I buy and Sell for PAYPAL !! Get over it.", and yet people can't seem to get over it.

Not you again get lost Qweedo fucking troll

All I said was you don't understand paypal, it is ok dude, don't have to get all rude.

Not everyone dealing with paypal is bad! Why not do paypal gift if trusted relationship has not been established yet ? In fact, paypal gift is the way to go - no fees from either side. I agree 100% trust is above all, but please, do not refute PP blatantly - it is excruciatingly difficult for newcomers like me to get upto speed in that way. I also agree that there are lots and lots of scammers here - so far within a month of me joining here, I have been PM'd by scammers from the other side of the table.

No but your breaking Paypal's TOS, so when his account gets frozen, he will be whining about it, and I just don't want to hear it. He thinks he is out smarting paypal, but true is, he has been lucky and probably hasn't had a huge income, to warrant a red flag to paypal. As soon as that happens he will be frozen and assets will be gone. Also why not use a real exchange like everyone else instead of this internet back alley. ;)

We will see what is what. I treat people fair and like customers. With good customer service and speedy replies and I am building a larger network of sellers and buyers. I also just spent 10 k on mining equipment in an effort to have greater liquidity. My customers stick with and trust me because i dont mess around with stupid shit and I give them what they want... which is not a hard time which is what you get any other way you try and buy coins.

Whoa there. Pretty quick to call me an ass hole for asking an innocent question to a fellow BTC salesman on eBay.

And I know the risks associated with eBay/PayPal buddy. I can assure you I have made more money than you. I have seen your listing northoutboards. But you have no clue who I am.

I can teach you a few things, but I wont.

Seriously there are people in this thread that have no idea what they are talking about.

You can quote PayPal TOS all day long. Fact of the matter is anyone who has ever done SERIOUS sales with PayPal has experienced some bs in the past. Whether it be BTC or not, PayPal does what they want to do. Most of the shit they do has no rhyme or reason.

Yes, they generally side with buyers in most cases.
Yes, they can freeze your money whenever they like for no real reason.
Yes, their reps are unhelpful idiots.

And finally...YES, using PayPal to sell BTC will eventually get you shut down. You may be minimizng your risk by limiting who can buy from you on ebay or wherever you may sell, but you are also minimizing your profits.

I guess we will never know because you are operating in darkness. i have my name associated with my account and if you want credibility from me you will need to do the same. I dont know who you are and dont really care but I doubt that you would be able to teach me shit.
