You need to remember that Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world,live there is not cheap.And as virtualx already said,life in Moscow is very different comparing it to the different cities or villages,also you need to remember that Russia is the biggest country in the world,but actually there are less people in US,so there are not so many people. I recommend to check russian youtube channels. You can connect with regular Russian citizens on vk.com, facebook.com and even twitter.com. A lot of data about day to day life there. For video: There are also some youtube vloggers like the "stop a bad driver" program, guys climbing/stunts on skyscraper and several others. A lot of videos are also shared on the social networks. But I`ll just update you anyways.. right now the issue with russia is their russian ruble is falling because of the ukraine and nato situation. This falls back on to the cold war situation.
