I do not think that there is a timline until that bitcoin must have reached a certain level of peoples life.
It's important to remind people that it's out there, and for those who use it, that they keep on using it.

Well, we don't know what will happen to bitcoin for next years, but i'm sure bitcoin is very trusted. Because i don't have any issue so far since i used bitcoin until today.

You have to trust bitcoin because is decentralized and it has no central authority like the Federal Reserve or ECB which can make the price of USD and EUR go down or up via their nasty politics. Price is determined by market and by the news. Its the best tool to invest nowadays and it can make you insane profit i you invest it right by buying some coins now and waiting a few years. It can change your life maybe.

Well you might be talking targetting only to a individual or I may not be clear about your views however money is not worth trust whatever or wherever it is or however it exists. A grandfather's $5 kept in a box for his grandchildren becomes worthless but if that money which was a great sum of money during that time could buy him a great fortune that would have worth millions of money to his children but that $5 would hardly be a day's meal for them. So investment should be done from whatever currency we use.

why I believe with bitcoin? because for me bitcoin currency is very favorable, and it's been proven, bitcoin has changed a lot of my life. So I will continue to believe with bitcoin to the future.

We all who are involved with bitcoin is already trusting bitcoin as most secure cryptocurriencies and have value in real life also with many merchants worldwide accepting bitcoin as well as lots of bitcoin atm where we can exchange bitcoin to fiat easily.

People will trust in btc, as long as they make profit with btc. When money stop to come, people will forget about bitcoins, and they will move their attention to other source of income, or fun.

Believe it or not, but not everyone involved in Bitcoin is just "investor" or trader. Bitcoin is also very usefull form of payment for some. Whatever the purpose for the payment option, without Bitcoin being actually usefull, just "investing" scheme could not work for so long and collapsed long ago similarly to all altcoin pump and dumps.

You should trust that the people hosting nodes would make the correct decisions in the future, and that the developers will make decisions that are in the best interest of the people using the technology

and not the people who wants to rule the technology. You should trust the exchanges to keep your bitcoins safe, IF you are one of the people using them. The trust is more applicable to the 3rd party

we can trust bitcoin because no one is actully controling it so that means no one is controlling our coins.miners are just helping just to verify it so i can do whenever and where ever i want to transact its awesome

Exactly! Thank you for your comment. These days, I'm increasingly under the impression that mostly speculators and traders are interested in Bitcoin, (ab)using it to make elusive fiat "profits". The reason of Bitcoin's creation and its unique properties as a decentralized currency seem to be irrelevant for these kind of people.

I really hope that all these ignorant people will leave Bitcoin with big trading losses only to return to desperately buy it back, when Bitcoin shows its power as a inflation resistant alternative to fiat. People that still use fiat as a reference benchmark to measure value are not knowing anything about money.

It's personal to each person. One may keep supporting Bitcoin for many more years because he has good confidence in its future, while the other finds that Bitcoin is severely lacking something that this person really believes in.

Aside from the fact that China has enough mining to overcome the decentralized problem there is no other possible reason not to trust bitcoin.
Since not all the hash coming from china is the same person I think that is impossible too, even if the Chinese hashing passes 50% that means ALL Chinese miners, I mean ALL by the way, needs to come together to ruin it.

What do you mean real money here? but if I assume that you mean is fiat. I think fiat, will always be fiat and will not be turned into digital currency. Similarly bitcoin will not be fiat. because bitcoin created as digital currency . You're right when you've said Bitcoin is the most valuable among other altcoins and most trusted. A year ago Bitcoins price was very variable, but recently I've been noticing a lot of stability in the price. The drops aren't that bad, even after the exchange was hacked. But even after all of this, I fear holding a large percentage of money as Bitcoin, cause I still believe that Bitcoins an experiment and we should only buy what we're willing to lose.

Bitcoin is not one of crypto currencies that seems interesting for investing. ETH is rising even faster now and if I would have free money I would invest in it. We should to trust with bitcoin cause of our trust is the main factor of why bitcoin is still alive and getting more and more popular.

I trust Bitcoin because it is decentralized , and you can send and recieve money anonimously , I mean it is very hard to track a Bitcoin transaction , especially , after blockchain added the feature which changes your address after every transaction . The sole reason that bitcoin is decentralized and can be used by anyone is a reason enough that we should trust bitcoin since no one actually owns it. The government is not able to manipulate it since all transactions are public and can be seen in the blockchain.

I see a lot people state the price to be the reason for us to trust Bitcoin. Doesn't really make sense as it would mean that with a lower price, trust would also be low, and with a higher price, that the trust would also be high... I believe in Bitcoin because it has given me the opportunity to store money outside the reach of banks and governments. I think a lot more people should appreciate Bitcoin for this feature. Because at some point you might need it. ;)

I don't think so, maybe it's correct trust with bitcoin in means you're putting or saving your money, but in this place, everybody is having their difference understanding about that.

Just trust bitcoin on its capability and we will be good.  Just you said, many investors trusted bitcoin and as long as many people uses, invest bitcoin, bitcoin will be around for many years.  Just let us continue to patronize bitcoin so many people will get interested and buy some of it.  If there would be great demand, then we are sure that bitcoin price will sustain its momentum to be the top digital currency in the market.

Not only giving us fiat, is just we are using it, and our life makes easy i can say that because here in my country the bitcoin wallet has many offered services for the users even i am at home i can do a lot of thing unlike before i do can able to do that outside of my house. Those things are sending money to my family and friends, paying my bills, loading my cellphone and etc.

Well it has flaws too but as of now we can't see it. There is no perfect thing in this world all are temporary. We must trust bitcoin because this is great other source of income it will helps us to increase our revenue eventhough it has no insurance and it has a big risk we need to believe that bitcoin will give great return of inventment in the future.

Most of the people here all want to trust Bitcoin, and I know that I want to trust Bitcoin right now. I trust it because it has been able to go on for this long without ending up getting hacked or having the community lose interest in the crypto. As long as the community keeps everything moving and remains interested, there will more than likely be a lot of trust that can be placed in Bitcoin without too much risk.

This is one of the feature of bitcoin why you have to use it.  You don't need  to trust it if you are still new, you can try it and see for yourself if you can trust bitcoin like majority of people in this forum.  As a currency, you can use and buy items with it, so if you have bought bitcoin and very uncomfortable holding them afraid that it might decline in value, you can spend it and buy items you like in a store that accept it.

I have a proof to trust bitcoins. We have experienced a month back bitfinex crisis and even after that there is no dent in the progress of bitcoins. It means this coin has a great future.

Me too, I can earn even if I'm just at home so I trust bitcoin also. It's been existing for a decade and its price rise tremendously from the day it was created attracting investors and a possibility that its price will continue to rise because it is limited so I trust that many will be interested in it in the long run. Once big shops start to offer it as payment option, many will be curious and might get involved in the bitcoin world. 

Right during summer in our place when i first started bitcoin i can remember that i think the price is still at that time is i think $350-$400. But now as we can see bitcoin price is $580-$650 the price almost doubled

I think bitcoin is a better alternative as investment (to hold), but I agree that as a currency, to use daily, fiat is still a better option.

When bitfinex crises happened that time was going low but after some days It become stable and it's now being around 550$ plus,  sonna after November price will cross more than 700$ according to my speculation.

Yes we must trust bitcoin, just imagine you put youre investation in something that goverment can't rule it. If you put an investment in USD or EURO the price will go down or up by central authority like ECB or the FEDERAL RESERVE.

I do agree that with bitcoins we have freedom but in this world, with bitcoins, we can't buy whatever want unless we convert them back to fiat currency. As of now without fiat currency, we can't purchase anything at least in my country, and bitcoins are used only in gambling and some other businesses. In my view, people trust most of the other Crypto currencies and also Bitcoin. But it is not about trust, i mean in this time most of the other crypto currencies are trustable, but people prefer to bitcoin on others. I think people don't really trust cryptocurrency.  They are in for a quick profit.  They gamble with crypto instead to trust it.  If they trust it then the question is, why do they convert it to fiat?  They convert it to fiat because they already have profit and it is hard to buy with bitcoin in a store next door.

I guess bitcoin is trusted alright by almost anyone here, Bitcoin gained a positive view among almost everyone that knows and follows it around, A completely concrete system allowing users to exchange money with ease.

This is like asking why should we trust in the USD or the EURO.  There is no real reason to trust in any of it any more, for it is all corrupt.  When the United States decides it is out of money, they will print more with the sign of a bill.  The same goes with all other currencies.  As long as the internet stays up, bitcoin seems to be the one to break this habit for there is no way to increase more after the 21.5 M has been hit.  Just my opinion.

For me there is not too much trust in Bitcoin, its more a calculated investment. The price could change in an instant on bad news and exchanges or wallets can get hacked - definitely not something I would trust. But its also a potentially great way to accumulate money.

Block chain has really one of the toughest security and we don't have to worry about it. It has been proven for a lot of years it was running. We  are trusting bitcoin because of good security and we are already using it to pay or to buy stuffs online.. we can not use bitcoin until now in local but there a prove that brazil has 150 stores are accepting bitcoin locally ..

With regard to the technology, I do not see a reason to stop trusting Bitcoin. The only problem I think you may have, would be with regard to price instability, but I think it is normal for a currency in its early stages.

People who don't trust bitcoin are only two types, the one that doesn't really have knowledge about bitcoin. And the other one is that they already knew bitcoin but they are hating bitcoin and are not happy for the success that are getting by bitcoin. Upon reading a lot of articles about comments of bitcoin experts we must trust bitcoin in able to adopt it by others too.

Well, it is safe on your side if you are on the receiving end since transaction is only one way, once you receive it, the sender cannot get it back from you, but once you are the sender and you didn't like the thing that you purchase using it, you can never reverse it unless the merchant is kind enough...  :)

Trusting Bitcoin is up to us but it Bitcoin has given us the safety and security needed for a virtual money, As it protects the identity of the owner and the wallet address is good enough for them that it was sent by you compared to a credit card it will be tied to you as your personal information has been inputed in their database. Also the transactions of you sending money or vice versa can be seen on the blockchain website, you can see all its transactions and confirmations on how your btc is being handled. Be careful on who you send your Bitcoin as they are the one who should be taken into extra caution.

As you can see, the tech behind it is surely legit.  It is a wise decision  to trust btc, in my opinion, if you want to make  a good profit in the future.. You must also be aware of the  risks involved in it, of course.

For now i dont trust bitcoin because this is still not a perfect crypto we can not reverse the payment no protection buyers unlike paypal that anytime they can reverse the payment..

Yes we have been here for so long now. Actually I didn't imagine that it could go this long. At first I didn't really trusted bitcoin because of what happened from the past where it really went down with its price. But now, it is creating a good future for us.

I think what OP means "being part of our life" is when do we accept Bitcoin for long term and now a temporary solution to our extran earning or kind of payment. You make some grand plans for bitcoin that are close to planning to win the lottery,lower the expectations and concentrate more on the foundation of bitcoin. The stronger the base the longer bitcoin will have a successful ride,if you where to judge by a lot of the posters you would think bitcoin could face the death of say the sony walkman due to everyone wanting to profit,rather than establish bitcoin.

Mass adoption will not happen because there is a large segment that do not participate in using the internet. So without them even wanting to get on the net,we have a large segment that will not be reached pretty much ever.

Can you elaborate more on what you have said? I know bitcoin exist because of 1s and 0s, But its more than that to make you trust Bitcoin. Even though it has numbers on it, it does not make me trust something. For example I don't trust any mining site as they still don't have any proof of such a company exist. But I trust Bitcoin not only because of its price but also because of its acceptance from big businesses.

Most likely, people trust in Bitcoin because its total supply of coins is limited to 21M coins by the algo of the Bitcoin protocol. Thereby these people believe that no one will be able to arbitrarily inject into the system new money beyond what is hard coded in Bitcoin and by doing this inflate the coin...
