I was hospitalized in an "addictions treatment centre for my alcoholism and (mostly politically motivated) marijuana use, and the doctor has refused to let me use my laptop. I've AWOL'd from the hospital and plan to use my frequent flyer miles to fly from Vancouver to Toronto. Here's the long version. For a few months now my mental health team has been causing me a lot of trouble and are trying to undermine my way of life. They are making decisions for me because I smoke pot. They think pot's bad for me and have decided to strip me of my freedoms. They lied about this addiction centre saying it would be good for my alcoholism. I decided to go to detoxify. Now they want to keep me there and drug test me when I get released. I was working on the backend for a casino project which I haven't been able to program because the doctor won't let me have my computer or do any work. They are fascists trying to control my life. I owe people on this forum money, but the addictions centre took 4/5th of my disability cheque (I would have refused to go if my team told me that). Now I plan to pack my Mac Mini and spend my frequent flyer miles on a plane ticket to Toronto and try to start life there fresh. I'm no lawyer, but I am sure that the distance from here to Toronto is great enough that they won't send me back, and it would also send a big "fuck you" message to the dictators out west who are trying to control my life. i'm just asking for $40 CAD for groceries when I get to Ontario and I'll pay the money back once I get my life sorted out. If this really is TM, I would strongly suggest NOT lending him any money. That usually doesn't go well. TM ought to focus on dealing with his problem and take a break from this stuff.

Marijuana and everything in this category are NOT toxic at all. Toxic are the cigarettes and everything related to tobacco (except the one you grow by your own self,very hard indeed). Of course alcohol is one of the most dangerous substances and if you stuck with it, you will have very serious issues. I agree though about BTC OP. You should care more about your issue and keep your thinking only to your treatment. To proof all this story is real, he need to provide not only real flight tickets etc but also his phone number, identity card and proof of residence and all such things so that we are sure he is asking for real need.
