Here's the TL;DR version of this post. I was hospitalized in an "addictions treatment centre for my alcoholism and (mostly politically motivated) marijuana use, and the doctor has refused to let me use my laptop. I've AWOL'd from the hospital and plan to use my frequent flyer miles to fly from Vancouver to Toronto.

Here's the long version. For a few months now my mental health team has been causing me a lot of trouble and are trying to undermine my way of life. They are making decisions for me because I smoke pot. They think pot's bad for me and have decided to strip me of my freedoms. They lied about this addiction centre saying it would be good for my alcoholism. I decided to go to detoxify. Now they want to keep me there and drug test me when I get released.

I was working on the backend for a casino project which I haven't been able to program because the doctor won't let me have my computer or do any work. They are fascists trying to control my life. I owe people on this forum money, but the addictions centre took 4/5th of my disability cheque (I would have refused to go if my team told me that).

Now I plan to pack my Mac Mini and spend my frequent flyer miles on a plane ticket to Toronto and try to start life there fresh. I'm no lawyer, but I am sure that the distance from here to Toronto is great enough that they won't send me back, and it would also send a big "fuck you" message to the dictators out west who are trying to control my life. i'm just asking for $40 CAD for groceries when I get to Ontario and I'll pay the money back once I get my life sorted out. I greatly appreciate anyone with an open mind who is willing to help me out, and I will also pay back the other BTC users I owe once the casino project goes live. Thanks again.

Can you sign a less generic message with the current date?

You shouldn't sign such an open ended message like that, now any scammer can copy that message and try to claim they are you..

I could probably help out with maybe $5 for someone in need but i would like to make sure im am not getting scammed by a sob story.
I was thinking that since you don't need the cash till your in the new state could you please post pics of your flight tickets and another of you actually at the airport, once i see these it will convince me that your story is indeed true.

I work in a treatment facility,  dealing with alcoholics and addicts all day.  If this really is TM,  I would strongly suggest NOT lending him any money.  That usually doesn't go well.  TM ought to focus on dealing with his problem and take a break from this stuff.

And of course if this is not TM, don't give this person a dime.

Is the creation of new accounts in order to rank them up and sell them off? I remember in the loans section there was a thread by BlackSpidy who was negatively repped after trying my make a loan request using those accounts as collateral. I am not intending to use BCT accounts as collateral, my main account is associated with my work as a freelancer. I might sell off this account once it ranks up.

That's some fine detective work mate, you maybe able to offer your services to members that wish to do loans but are not too good at spotting scammers, i have seen a few lenders like that could use your service.

I think constant alcohol intake at a level of being classified an alcoholic is probably going to fry your mind more than a smoking weed but i am far from an expert on the subject.
Maybe The Pharmacist can tell us which one is worse for the mind

If he's got a substance abuse problem, he ought to abstain from weed and alcohol and stay in treatment.  People go to inpatient treatment because they're not functioning in the world anymore.  And then after 3 days clean most of them think they're ready to go back home, back to work, and back to everything that was associated with their substance use.  And then they wonder why they relapse.  If this guy is TM and the story is true, he should forget bitcoin and all his other problems for a while and just get help.

Alcohol is much more toxic than marijuana.  It's also more intoxicating, more addictive,  and more dangerous.
