We are talking only about legal things, if we do consider the dark markeplaces as they are trading as well, i would say drugs are the main thing being sold for bitcoins, besides those i thinked food wouldnt have a place, how people selling food online, its restrited to some countries i do believe.

Just voting about clothing and accessories and I'm not sure you're wanna for selling a food through the online market and that's like impossible for me and too risky.

I would also to vote for clothing and accesories and  if possible  please  put gadgets and  techs because  lot of  people  would    be really interested  on that. Well as you said food would  not  be a good option though  since it would  spoil easily and its not  ideal  for it  on shipping basis  because its an  edible thing.

Well this OpenBazzar is good idea for bitcoiners also for non bitcoiners to get curious how and where they will get that bitcoins to buy on things.
I think the clothing and accessories will be click on people especially use for fashion .

but we do not support selling that stuff , so just forget it and don't make it as a pride.

I think selling clothes with some custom designs or designs that customer want will be profitable to sell. You can also print designs on home scale for small orders in starting phase which is really easy and cheaper, to find more check some of youtube tutorial.

Strongly disagree about food and I'm too foolish for buying a food in the foreign using open bazaar, the another option i agree with that except the food. I don't sure if you're wanna for delivery $5 food from the foreign into your house.

I would go for number 5. Clothing and accessories. its indemand especially for women who love to shop online. you can also include gadgets it is also a good stuff to sell and i think consumers will like it.

I would like to pick the option clothing and accessories only because these things first ever product most successful in online trading. So if bitcoin will accept s for this option it would more familiar like how PayPal increases their popularity.

I think the best selling item for bitcoins are the GPU's and any gadget that is related to the new technology. Because most of the people who are using bitcoins are into new technology and they don't want to be late in the trend of what is happening. And I think the second on the list that would be personal computers or laptops.

First of all, what target place you are eyeing too? Local? Worldwide?

If locals, make a study what is demand in your location or place. Like here in my place, clothes and accessories is demand and lots of them sells thru social media so I can consider that thing. Also beauty products can be listed and animal accessories.

If for worldwide, the best thing to sell is gadgets and gadgets accessories.

It's depend on what you think is demand based on your study whether for local or global.

My opinion about that is that Bitcoin users are buying the same things that normal people buy. I think the Clothing & Accessories would go higher on the list if the designs were Bitcoin related or if the designs and the quality are really good. I don't think a lot of Bitcoin users have a lot of time to plant trees in their garden so why is Seeds on top 3. Not sure what types of seeds do they sell. It's possible that it's for cannabis because a lot of people buy that online (especially on reddit).

I don't  know anyone who orders food online or clothes. cigarettes is the obvious one. the buyers are addicted, they're expensive in a lot of places. you have to keep an eye on rules about sending them to other countries.

I have many idea to sell item online for bitcoin, but the shipping to overseas sometimes higher than the price of the item itself ???
Maybe selling digital goods is good for my problem, but I don't have idea what digital goods to be sell :'(

i think you need to sell something unique, something that people willing to pay despite the shipping cost is expensive, one of the obstacle to sell things online is the shipping cost, you can sell something like sneakers shoes, or collectible or genuine sport equipment

I do not think that good is sold a lot, if we talk about the cigarettes  they get sold a lot for bitcoins these days.

a larger target market, unlike cigarettes,comic books, and seeds. As for food, I guess it can work too but

depending on the kind,you'll likely be restricted/limited by locality. So, best option would definitely be clothing

Anyway, you always have to keep in mind and focus on who/what/where your target customers are.

Food clothes and accessories are good but you should include also the computers/laptops and computers parts as well, because those who own bitcoin means that that own electronics and would be good to buy them with bitcoin.

Digital goods sell about 100x better than anything physical. That would have to be my biggest piece of advice. A lot of people are into bitcoins to be less transparent with their money so if you ask about their address to send them a pack of smokes they'll probably just not bother.

IMHO you overlooked the best selling items
they would be:
1.digital goods or services i.e. scripts,hostings,VPN,proxies,website access etc.
2.hardware,both mining related and PC parts and accessories  such as videocards,risers, power supply units and many more

as correctly pointed out above,bitcoin users value their anonymity,you will have to find a way to deal with that disclosure phobia when selling physical goods
either offer some unique product that cannot be bought for fiat money or give incentitive to buy it for bitcoins exclusively(huge discount,free P@P and so on)

Well there are a lot of items you can sell online at its best for their demand and besides you can also some services that you can greatly earn for offering it for a lot of people need freelancers for their projects. And for the items, that would be good if you are going to relate it with technology as we are in bitcoin industry and I saw a good business of selling physical coin (for souvenir).

The only thing i would really love to buy with my bitcoins online would be option 5: Clothes and Accessories, as i really like shopping such kind of things while i can't do that with my bitcoins offline unless i convert them to fiat.

Just interesting with this way because is more a simple step comparing with the another like selling a physical stuff needs for shipping into the address of the buyer and will need for a charge more for that. it's why a lot of the digital goods seller are always appear every time.

That's interesting that comic books made the list.  I'm not sure if I should be surprised by that or not, because I used to frequent a comic book chat board and never once saw bitcoin mentioned.  And on the other hand, comic book nerds would seem to be the most likely ones to use bitcoin.

For better or worse, I always associate bitcoin with Silk Road.  That association is never going away.

I think think the ''5. Clothing & Accessories'' make more success actually. People are looking for this kind of stuff on the internet and they want to pay easily, and BTC is the currency to pay fast and easily. It would make a big success.

actually I also like the idea of books, but openbaazar only offer comics. I think it will be more interesting if they add some science books or dictionaries.

Best selling item for bitcoins are digital goids, evidence is in marketplace section. There is visible dominance of digital goods. Gift cards, different accounts for many site's and services.
Clothes are still better to buy with cash, they have much better discounts. I never bought clothes online, what if size is wrong, or I don't like it when I try it? For me that is better to go to shop, try to see does it suit me and only then I buy it.

I think we can sell everything, because in this way, we have no problem, Actually we have a lot of things in our house and if anyone want which things so we can provide them, it is a same way whenever we want to buy something than no one have any problem in it, But it is really good idea.

when I'm buying clothes,personally,unless it is just a t-shirt,I prefer to have a look at how it fits,touch the fabrics or try it on
don't really like the situations when you order snickers saying size 10 only to realise that the shipment was made from a country where sizes are +1 (UK as example)
it is just too much of a hassle with sizes,packaging and postage,delivery and possible return

For me that's never worth in this time, just imagine about the tax for buying a clothes from the foreign and shipping into the my country and how many amount are is pend for that. I'm not naive but for this time the clothes and the accessories are the worst thing in this time for be a one of your selling item in your business and the demand are very low comparing with the another kind.

I think the most things that are sold of bitcoins are digital things like games, I really think that is mostly sold with the bitcoin.

I cannot agree more, the digital goods are mostly sold in the bitcoin world and its indeed pretty simple because the bitcoin is also a digital currency.

I do not use OpenBazaar  so basically i do not know what happen there. According to my experience, The best selling item online is digital goods which include games, game accounts, domain, etc. As you can see, there are many online games store which accept bitcoin to pay for game keys. And when you go to Digital goods section in this forum, you can find many people are selling their online stuff and there are many others people who willing to buy these things

This is my first time to here that openbazaar are accepting bitcoin as payment..  well in my case if i want to buy there i think its more best selling item are clothes and seeds..
For seeds maybe there is illegal seeds like marijuana seeds thats why they are using bitcoin to buy seeds there.. its more easy to buy since bitcoin is anonymous..

Agree with this, please listing the digital goods or electric goods in your list I think seems really potential in this day.... too many the people are having a lot of bitcoin for buying digital goods and electric goods but the store for accepting it are not enough for the bitcoiners.

Is it allowed to sell cigarettes online? I mean because of special tax system and control of origin. At least in my country that could be a problem.

I feel this would be the right ranking as people today shop for clothes a lot more than food and hence people buy it a lot with bitcoins on amazon and ebay (with the help of amazon gift cards). Seeds would be the at the end as more than seeds, people buy electronics online and mobiles too. Even in the Marketplace on BCT, these goods get sold faster than other products.

I don't know for sure about the seller or the user wants to use the bitcoin digital currency (bitcoin) to shop. But I know that all the people who use the bitcoin will definitely want good things or want to use the bitcoin for all things that exist in this world

I agree about your list the only thing is that Clothing & Accessories is still not sold a lot these days so I do not think that these things are sold a lot, the other things are sold a  lot for bitcoins without any doubts!

The most sold items sold for bitcoins are in my eyes, Cigarettes & Digital goods because they two things are getting sold a lot on the forum so I really think they also get sold a lot on other websites..

Digital things like VPN services, porn contents, anti-viruses and OS are few of most selling things with bitcoin payments. In physical goods, I have observed computer peripherals are fast moving with the bitcoin payment options. One thing here must be mentioned, computer graphics cards got very big hype due to introduction of bitcoin mining, not just with bitcoin payments.

I agree with all the items you had mentioned are the most best selling online. Because I am into a social media group and there's a lot of people discussing about these type of materials for paying bitcoins. I seldom see people who are talking about buying physical item or goods with the use of bitcoins, very seldom.

What the hell is that, but where from you know about the people are buying a gift card always using bitcoin? you need to give a reliable source for that or a real evidence. no one knows where the gift card is from. I just wanna considering from this place and the electric goods are always having a lot of demands in here.

I'd say that a lot of people buy electronics online with bitcoin as well. Otherwise there are always people buying drugs from the dark web...

As we all know there are really lots  of  stuffs we could able to  purchase with bitcoin as you mentioned  bitcoin is commonly used to  purchase  drugs and  other  illegal things in darknet  as we all know  but  here on  legal  or surface web people would really use it to  buy digital stuffs and  electronics same as you said. Just  like  what mentioned on the OP  but he should  include mobile  phones and  other technologies  out there  for sure  it would caught up the interest of  bitcoin users.

Digital goods is mostly high crowd than physical. But if you see physical type, cigarettes and cloth&acc is the best to sell I think, especially cigarettes, at different country the price is different, for example if you from Europe part, you can buy cigarettes for low price at for example: Indonesia.

It is hard to track that, because there a lot of transactions that happen in the dark net.

My best guess will bee that the best selling item online for bitcoins is weed, since it has an huge market in the dark net, but again, it is really hard to be tracked.

I also think that the market of digital goods/bitcoins is pretty big, since a lot of people who doesn't want to reveal their identity use bitcoins in order to buy some items over the net.

So at the bottom line, we can't really know that as it is impossible to track transactions and sales that happen in the dark web, but we can only guess that.

 

Illegal things has  the biggest  market   regarding   it  lurks  in the dark net and   as you said  its really hard to  track  up those  buyers  because  of bitcoins anonymity which we couldnt able   to  know  whose the  owners of  the said address. I dont  really think this  list would  be accurate though hence there are some of  hidden  things that are  majorly being sold  by bitcoin  just  like weed  and the  transactions  are  bigger than  you imagined. These  things are  just  being showed  on  the top only  but we really dont  know  on the  transaction on  underground.

There are so many products you can buuy on the internet and also there are allot of people who loved to buy things off you when you offer them anough and they are willing to pay it i think the
best thing you can sell with coins are games.

This is my presumed best selling item online with the use of bitcoin.

1. Gift cards (Amazon) - Because many wants to shop with Amazon but since they are not able to pay directly with bitcoin they are just converting or buying it with gift cards.

2. Clothes - For sure this is on the list of yours too because clothes are necessity and we are into the era where fashion is very important.

3. Gadgets/Hardware - Lastly, this is the final on my list since we are in bitcoin, other people will think to buy gadgets for their bitcoin business or farming with hardware.

I don’t think that list is accurate since that list is excluding the dark marketplaces, I think that if you include them then probably the most sod item are drugs.

Yes I agree.. Dark webs have a lot of offers which is not on this list and it's very on demand. And it's really forbidden to some that's why it's belong in the black market. Most sold are guns and drugs.

To my own understanding the best digital service to offer that can make you get more bitcoin is by creating a marketing or promotional services with reasonable prices to attract customers. Many people have businesses that are idle and not making anything from it, so if you can help them promote it they will be happy to pay you for that.

I don't think an online shop will sell drugs and will exposed that online. Well I think the best selling item online if there is no restriction whether it is legal or illegal. For sure the first on the list would be drugs and weeds. But if we are not going to include illegal things and regardless whether it is being sell with openbazaar or not, I think it would be clothes.

There are a lot of people selling illegal things online and I guess this are the best selling item online including drugs. I don't know why people are keep on exposing their transactions even they already know that they are going to get bad reputation or even the FBI is able to trace them if they will do something against the law.

Apart from electronics, selling your services may be something to consider as well. People like to hire others to outsource for projects they don't want to do or cannot do themselves.

I think the best thing you can sell with your online shops are video games because gamers are always on the bitcoin you know and that is nice because games are expensive and that means

I was not recommending the selling or the consumption of drugs, but since we are talking about the most popular items bought with bitcoin, there is no doubt in my mind that the first place belongs to drugs.

This is in demand item online, especially when you are using steam's game then you could start up an online business and sell steams game cheaper. I know you can have some partnership deal with steam, since they are now accepting bitcoin that is going to be an advantage for you. You can just sell it wherever you want easily, for example in social medias.

Yeah thats right, Its better to sell digital goods than physical, physical needs more effort to sell it online . In digital goods you can sell fast or instant trade, But in physical if you are a buyer you need to wait for a couple of days because of the shipping days.

those list will not be enjoyed by everyone only Clothing & Accessories and foods is universal not Cigarettes or seeds so why not trying to combine all those items in your online shop indeed that would be so difficult to manage your store but i think that would be more good than only pick one item

I will suggest that you buy a server for you which will have a plenty of free space and then continue to sell hosting packages for websites. I think that this is the one of the best selling item for bitcoins but the first in the list are the mining hardwares.

On back days yes best selling from that time are mining hardwares but for now? I don't think they are buyable since its not worth to buy anyone of these since mining difficulty are extremely harder at these moment, and i don't see any people having a deal at this moment, try to look at in digital good section yoy can see that steam games,pc parts, collectible goods are more easy to buy at this industry.

I do agree that digital goods are one of the best selling items online for bitcoins. For example, because of steam's acceptance with bitcoin their games are becoming now in demand as a lot of bitcoin users are gamers to that gaming platform. And there are some people who are also customers of VPN and other VIP memberships for a website.

Digital goods stay indeed on top because its easy to sell them for bitcoins and physical goods are just way harder to get at the first place and also sell and ship to a customer so its logical.

Many are selling accounts on Bitcointalk, but do they really have such a demand or it is just that online accounts are easy to get and put for sales? Digital goods are selling great and you can make a lot of money with the bitcoin too so that is nice, digital goods such as games are just so much sold because there is a lot of demand on it.

People mostly sell what is in demand or what they have as extra, if someone has two many accounts of a site that can be of use for others they he simply comes here and sell them for bitcoins, if someone needs them they just buy, so i guess this is something totally normal.

I agree with you about digital items but I also think that illegal drugs have  pretty much large market here.
It is hard to predict the bitcoin market as a large amount of transactions happen in the deep web,but overall I think that illegal things have the largest market.

Yeah transaction are been made in deepweb and surely it cost millions or even billions of dollars transaction happened in that place, but lets forget that place since we are on bright sidepart of the world, and digital goods is the most buyable one, its expected since we are on online world and digital goods is the most easiest way to transfer with and i don't see any people overseas buying lots or assets over the boards.

Yeah, it's a bad thing something deepweb and good. Depending on what they do, because sometimes there are people who make deals in deepweb to find items that where in the country they have cheaper prices than others. Agree. Any shop tools that support Bitcoin includes mining stuff/hardware wallet/etc, should accepting Btc as their payment method. Because their shop are taking profit from Bitcoin users. Alternative i do likes using Btc when doing payment my bills, topup mobile and paying some digital items.

I don't think it would be easy to start selling these things strictly for crypto. I think that a lot of people who hold crypto are holding it just to wait for it to gain in value before they cash it out and then buy these things for fiat.
