Title: Don't use Poswallet.com to stake your coin..
Post by: aioc on October 17, 2016, 01:15:16 AM
I have sent coins to my friends but it's still not showing after 48 hours and on facebook group on one community
they are talking that people are not receiving their coins in their dashboard..

Worst thing is the support is very slow, took one ticket 48 hours to get a response and the support did not solve my ticket, instead just ask me a question..

This is one of the worst support I have encounter, don't use poswallet to stake your coins or you will end up losing your coin.

Though you have reasons to be annoyed but this are not enough reasons to ask people not to use the service again, support of service like this are always busy and we need to wait for our turn.
Please be calm and sort out things with them.

I dont use them purely because I would rather be in control in case they run. I dont think they will though but I dont want to pay them a 3% fee or whatever it is. I will rather keep that myself. So staking is even more profitable done by your own PC instead of on a staking pool. But it also saves electricity and there is very little down time so it probably is worth it but not if they doing what you say they are doing. That is no good for anyone at all.

I prefer staking my wallet in my desktop,it's much secure and you are in full control, beside my wallet is open 10 hours a day,and I also read that the rewards is much smaller compare when you are staking your wallet in your desktop..

This is not good I saw a lot of coins in their database enough to get them richer, and if support is not answering for at least 48 hours it's bad sign and holders of those coins there should be alarm,we'll be waiting for your update so we can warn others.

Really so bad experience.I'm also a registered member on poswallet from a couple of months just to try their service to store some of my alts coin as most likely i like there service very much.As long as I didn't face any bad experience such like you but after seeing your problem i'm pretty confused!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us and is there any update about your problem?

All working now, withdraws are working, createing new wallets working. I think they had a website issue becouse neither new wallets i was able to generate. Anyway...
I don't use their services anymore because of 2 things:
- support sucks;
- site servers sucks, sometimes i spend 5-10 min to connect to account, i get "This site can’t be reached" "poswallet.com took too long to respond." ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
Take care!

we have the same experience in poswallet  I tried to stake coins there and after a days of staking, when I decided to withdraw it, it is the same as yours too. Waiting for it until I found out that I became a victim by scam sites. I loss my coins which is equivalent of 0.008BTC it might be small but has a high value for me.

is that true? I have some cj coins on that service. I intend to buy more cj coins for staking so what happens if I send all my coins to private wallet for staking. I'm confused with my coins when you are getting bad news.

I recently heard about poswallet and was thinking of using them because of the capability of staking 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  However, after much thinking, I feel it is much safer to just stake myself.  It may not accumulate the amount of rewards as I would get on poswallet but the risk of them just closing up shop and running away with my cryptocurrency is a possibility.  Not saying that they would, but I don't want to take the chance.

I don't have many coin on Poswallet.com just a couple insane coin want to try they service, i want to know more profit use their service or staking my coin in my Personal Computer. If the issues is because they take so long to response the support ticket i don't think we can get conclusion don't use Poswallet.com, but we still need to more careful use this service because when the site off or get hacked we will loss our coin.

Today poswallet.com website looks very very slow. I don't know if this depends by my location, but as this the site it's even difficult to use.

I've seen on the dashboard that they are planning to launch an integrated exchange, that could be a good thing. Maybe this is the cause of the slowing down if they are working on it.

Anyhow, at the moment i'm not storing coins there... just a very small amount to test the service. I'm not sure if i can trust.

These are all correct,we need another  pos online wallet,I cannot find one, they should upgrade their support, they are making a huge profit from the hundreds of coins stored in their database and yet their service sucks.

Even tough I am not using their services for long, but I have got a friend who recommended this wallet for POS coins I hold. Till date I have not faced any issue with Poswallet. I am sorry that you had such a bad experience with them.

But I am getting good service from them and also receiving the staking percentage immediately. I have transferred few coins to my exchanges, and it also worked well. I think you need to be little patient here.

Is not your connection (same issue I have too) is their servers that sucks, like support and everithing on poswallet. (I assume what i'm saying here) coz I lost some coins with their s*it site, submited 2 tickets to them and no answer for more than 1 week. My wallet is showing 0.000 balance. Anyway. Pace! :D

each day they have more and more, members so they need to improve hardware. And there is more members who are seeking antention( support) so they cant be that fast. i have been POSWallet meber for 5 months and had only one issue it took few days and i was repaired. So i have no reason to whine about POSW, they are big project and they also looking support to help them solving issues, som new members are aboard to help solve problems hava a patience.

I am totaly happy with POSW service. i can run 30 different coin wallet on my PC and keep them 24/7 open so POSW eveolves and come up new features and solve problem on the run, be part of community and help discover problem to make it better.

I believe with staking coin online if it is going well and no problems. But first there are events already uneasy about staking coin online and it ended with disappointment, but hopefully it does not happen like that happen again.
Hopefully soon the problem quickly resolved and ended well.

I think the best way you can do forget about the poswallet.com there's nothing you can do about it. Now if there are planning to put an exchange in this industry, I wouldn't support them anymore it is that they're gonna look again for a newly victim to their project.

Is there any update about this?

I registered on poswallet just to try their service. I didn't notice any problem but i keep whatching. It's a bit annoying that you have to create every single deposit address one by one.

What's your opinion about this service?

I have had problems in the past - missing deposits, shorted deposits, and recently found out that I have a $500 USD per day withdraw limit. I have started several support tickets, & all except 1 or 2 were answered in a timely manner.

It is a bit risky trusting a third party with your coins, but sometimes greater risk equals greater reward. I have always felt like coins should be kept in your possession at all times simply because one of the main benefits of Bitcoin/altcoins is that it takes away the need for third parties. Having said that, I'm not sure anyone ever imagined there would be this many digital currencies, several of which using a PoS algorithm. Even with a current top of the line computer, I don't think it would be possible to stake 102 different coins at the same time using only a PC & standard internet connection (which is currently what poswallet.com can do)!

In my honest opinion, I must say that they have done a great deal of growing over the past few months - not only in terms of a larger user-base with more coins, but its been quite obvious to me that a considerable amount of time/work has gone into developing! UI continues to improve, more PoS coins have been added, block explorers & an Exchange have been built (whether they work well or not is unknown to me simply because I haven't tried either of those features). However you look at it, time, money, & resources have most seemingly been spent recently, I get the feeling that their intentions are good..

they are developing new vertification system, so withrawal limits wont be problem if you are vertified. And they also prepare to register it as legal company, so risk they go away with your coins will be limited. I engurage you to use this service.

Is what each pos coin have. Instead of opening a hole bunch of wallets you keep your coins on their site and you will earn same pos stake according to each coin.

well the layout is shiite
and difficult to use

BUT

i can not complain about withdraws, nor security

prefer that POSW figures those out first, Tech/secure, in the backend.

a frontend (cosmetic) webdev can come in later ;)

For me, it's just facepalm. They let you use special characters in your password while signing up, and then don't let you in cause you are using special characters.

Ok, let's reset the password then. Filling in the form, clicking on captcha - email was sent. But looks like it wasn't. Have not got any letter from them, checked the spam folder of course.
But the "Username Reminder" letter comes instantly.

The funniest thing is when you click on "Support", they want you to sign in.  ;D

As there are many people talking bad about POSWALLET, I heard Poswallet recently but many people are not satisfied with them because their support system is not up to the mark, so it is not good suggestion to keep your coin in Poswallet account. It's better to stake your coins by your own.

I don't know what you're talking about, Poswallet is one of the few services that provide support through Slack and there is always one of them online to provide support.

POSWallet add over 100 coins, now they are removing most of them, thinking that this will improve their business.

What they forget is that the most important thing about business is customer service.  If you have a bunch of unhappy customers you don't stay in business very long.

Actually you're the one missing the point. They are delisting coins with low volume and low support to clean up the house for the rest of them. I see nothing wrong with that, I'd rather have the devs improving the QoS than spending half of their time fixing the 808 wallet.

Take one look at the official thread and you will see that they are not cleaning house, but cleaning up by denying users to withdraw coins who have small balances, because of some arbitrarily selected price cap.  Denying 5000 users out of 5500 the ability to remove coins from the site is not gonna make for a lot of happy customers.  multiply by 70 coins and you see the magnitude of the problem they are facing.

I can get the reason behind it why they reduce the list of coins.Customer service doesnt answer mails. I also dont recommend to use this service.

The users who will not be able to withdraw will be compensated with POSW of similar value. If they support Poswallet, they will be happy. If they don't, they will sell the POSW and buy back whatever shitcoin they had. So the only problem they are facing is taking care of 70 wallets that are just a waste of time and money.

So goodbye and good luck to you, loyal poswallet user who can't accept a loss of 100 gaycoins to support a service you supposedly like, I'm looking forward to the devs working on an improved design and an unique code for the coin.

Quote
up or down i am still very cautious on the fact that he is turning off  most of the coins, and with that said he is also able to keep Huge amounts of coins from his clients . he simply keeps them.  let me point out this example...

lets take for example   Vericoin
if by chance your wallet in POSWALLET>COM has   0.215125 VRC
this in his site equals aprox   0.00003154 btc
with a normale VRC = Vericoin withdrawal paymen of  0.01 VRC
POSWALLET will not allow you to withdraw those coins and you give them forced to the owner.
why? because the value of the coins are low and if they are under a certain point it is automatic forfeit to him.
so your coins are not yours and you have no control over them.
and i can say that from the time i started using POSWALLET several times the policy has changed.
and i would say each time the policy changes it is  equal to him waking up in the mornings!

i simply do see why if he is delisting the coin forcefully why we are not able to pull these coins out? are they not ours?
are we asking to close that particular coin from his website?
so please do some math and how many people use Vericoin?
6913
Pool Users

presume that 900 are able to pull theirs out ... the other 6000 people forfeit their coins to him!
or math please....
6000 time more or less 0.00003154  =  0.18924 btc on a single coin and approximately...

he is delisting about 70 coins

 0.18924 bt  times 70 =  13.2468 BTC

13.2468 BTC   $2,171.76  from coindesk at the moment of posting =    $28758.80 USD

all from the suckers like us that let him do this without saying a word!

the withdraw of a forcefully "by The Owner" closed coin should be withdrawn as per the same coins payment scale for transfer

it is not a question of the coin or anything else but he is doing this in a wrong way!

the individual value of the coin should not be of concern  and allowed transfer as per the pay scheduled of the coin its self.
if a person would like his coins and thet have no value then the actual owner can bounce them on his screen like virtual ping pong balls if he so chooses but he is forcing the closure of the coin and should allow all people to withdraw all their coins!

tbh a pretty good point here, someon should post thisi n slack and hear what they tell about this because I don't think any dev will make a statement on this point in here ..
Yes Good point I also lost 650000 money coins I requested for withdrawing and did not receive, yobit says they did not get it so finally, I lost my coins.and I have many coins with little amount I try to withdraw them can't because I can't rich their minimum withdrawal amount, that's not fair because some coins allowed to transfer even 1 or 2 coins within the network, as quote said it's not fair I think that's the reason for posw massive dump

i honestly dont know the reason for a massive dump but it would actually make sense... if the Dev turns sour no one will want his products and what he is doing is obvious and directly killing his clients  for a few pennies each that add up to a nice lil lump sum when all put together!
i personally have had private msgs from him saying i was poor and everything else and i never answered.. its not a question of just me but all the other small  holders that want their coins also...

as i repeat... when i started using pos wallet i paid upfront for their service!!!!! nothing ever came of that!
and all the coins that have already been taken from UPFRONT payment still cannot be retrieved

come to think about it..... there were a ton of coins on his add coin list and many votes were even paid for! all of those simply make a great day at the park! the coins simply deleted from the list and all PAID votes  he dosent even say thank you!

this is starting to sound alot like Cryptsy

Hey Paul V. is that you AGAIN???    is Horus still wagging his tail for you?

We refunded all users who purchased votes

I wonder when the refund was placed into the accounts? ???
I do not see any transactions indicating that my votes were ever refunded

They deleted my post in the moderated thread, I posted it here

Yeah, problems like "I got 50 gaycoins from the faucets and now I can't withdraw." :D  Grow up, the btc tx fee is 250 sats/byte.
The problem @guenni101 had came from NAV's forks, not PoSWallet issues.

ive been dealing with my own issues with poswallet.com for a few weeks, aside from the issue im embroiled with against them presently (see this thread: ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1936045 ). i made a withdrawl of 23,000 GPU to my desktop wallet something id done many times before, simply adding to my stake in that currency thru purchases, but it presented no transaction id. when i posted a question to support, it took two weeks to get a response, at which point they supposedly send me the currency, but not to any GPU wallet i own or ever referred to. support became increasingly impossible to work with past this point. i also had 215,000 MONEY simply disappear from my wallet. no transaction history to show where it went, they simply stopped existing. support assured me that "currency does not just go missing" even though it JUST HAD.

Colin Blakely, the registrant of POSW Holdings LLC in North Carolina will wind up being the one person held ultimately responsible for the losses experienced by users of this exchange, his desire for anonymity not protecting him in this instance. the issue regarding the GAYmoney wallet balance likely stolen by this exchange has been forwarded to the NC Secretary of State, Elaine F. Marshall, and to FinSEC thru the US Department of Treasury, for investigation as POSW Holdings LLC is registered in that state and beholden to its legislations. I strongly urge others who have experienced financial losses thru mismanagement or theft at poswallet to also contact the appropriate authorities regarding these incidents of financial irregularity perpetuated by poswallet.com and let boosters like sdotdot go down with the sinking ship.

No one is sure as of yet, we're waiting for the new roadmap.

One of the support members said during the initial change there will only be posw, btc and ltc active and then they'll spend the next bit of time reactivating dash, stratis and a few others.

Posw coins stay, so no.  However I would say, staking them at poswallet itself would be suggested.  (this being the part people say centralization is bad)
But in turn if poswallet ever got hacked, posw coin would be worthless so keeping posw at poswallet gets you stakes, and dividends much quicker than others.

Maybe dead today but if they redo the system and make it better say POSWallet 2.0 relaunch something like that and get 1000 hypers to hype it again, could go to a dollar. Sounds crazy today but after a big hype on the 2.0 relaunch news in crypo reality world not impossible!

I don't understand why they are delisting all these coins as most of them have active devs and strong communities so it doesn't make sense to me as even now they are delisting BitBean which has been solid for a long time now. They are killing their own service as in the end no one will use their wallet at all at the rate they are going.

I don't understand this too. Remaining coins are just a few. Are they selling servers?

I'm not even able to open poswallet.com now..... I see a cloudflare message saying "retray for a live version".

I do not know what to think about this.

They locked it due to flaming/trolling (according to slack)
It will probably be reannounced with posw 2.0's rollout and have a new bitcointalk thread.

they are talking that people are not receiving their coins in their dashboard..

Worst thing is the support is very slow, took one ticket 48 hours to get a response and the support did not solve my ticket, instead just ask me a question..

This is one of the worst support I have encounter, don't use poswallet to stake your coins or you will end up losing your coin.

Did you provide them all the info they needed for the issue? Yeah online services can have a lot of problems esp.if they go down because they're all run by small companies.

It is really a shame that they decided to close their cloud staking service and turn the POSWallet.com website into an infomercial for their coin.
They essentially said to the community "F❤️ck off, we know what's best", and disassembled the only cloud staking service available.  The could have easily tweaked their business model to make the venture profitable, by charging for premium memberships, which they had, but were outrageously priced and really offered no benefits.
Instead, they threw the baby out with the bathwater. They have made their brand irrelevant.   I really don't see that they have anything to offer at this point.

I think POSwallet is not working too many people are scared about it. As people are complaining about their wallet and support system are very bad.
What happened to their support they should answer to people queries in order to get more awareness about the company.

Sir, ORB was delisted on 5/18. You did not provide feedback until after delisting. We swapped your ORB to POSW (a generous community member donated POSW for this).

Once a coin is delisted, the wallet is removed.

It's really sad to see this end for poswallet. This site had great potential, but they simply killed their actual business with that massive coins delisting.

I hope they could recover from this situation, but it seems really unlikely to me. They lost userbase trust too.

posw is still very much alive

the delisting was announced and is still talked about.

"We will be delisting the majority of coins over the next month or so to align with this strategy - mainly coins with low user bases, low volume, or little technological improvement vs. other coins."  https://poswallet.slack.com/archives/C459NJUJV/p1495664819402233

you say not to stake at poswallet, this is exactly why they delisted coins, so the stake services are better ...
"the crypto market, in general, is too unstable to effectively provide group stake services for the majority of coins we have listed at poswallet.com. Interesting coins pop up and swell with a large community, then disappear just as fast - resulting in a lot of infrastructures we set up that is no longer being used."

they are now focusing on improving POSW as a coin more than ever
https://poswallet.slack.com/archives/C414EG0DR/p1497783647651897
and have discussed this several times already, but the fud continues

" As new coins appear and become established, we will investigate adding them to the platform as well. "

- blockexplorer 2.0 is in beta now
- teamed up with ledger

... one of the most popular hardware wallet vendors to deliver a wallet that supports BTC, LTC, ETH, DASH, STRAT, and now PoSW. IMHO, that is pretty impressive.

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/06/02/ledger-announces-custom-designed-physical-wallet-for-posw-tokens/  "Cryptocurrency wallet company Ledger has announced that it will start
supporting PoSW tokens for their flagship products, Nano S & Blue."

ledger rises trust, in turn rising the price ... scheduled to come out around aug

the devs and admin are a small crew doing the work of many ... Folks with patience here will ultimately be happy

There's no logical reason why the price won't rise

just my thoughts as a posw fan

I have sent coins to my friends but it's still not showing after 48 hours and on facebook group on one community
they are talking that people are not receiving their coins in their dashboard..

Worst thing is the support is very slow, took one ticket 48 hours to get a response and the support did not solve my ticket, instead just ask me a question..

This is one of the worst support I have encounter, don't use poswallet to stake your coins or you will end up losing your coin.

Thanks for this tip bro will ex this from my list

To compare the two options if to a) stake at PoSWallet or b)stake at your own qt wallet is this:

a) If you got small amount of a PoS coin supported by PoSWallet, it's better to group-stake in their staking pool.

b) But if you got large amount, and you are online 24/7, you better stake it in your own wallet desktop wallet.

Staking large amounts in your own desktop wallet yields more coins than staking the same large amount in PoSWallet.

Overall, PoSWallet is good for those who hold smaller amounts of PoS coins can earn stakes better than staking their small amounts in their own qt wallets.

I hear many people are not supporting the Poswallet.com, there are lot more negative rumors circulating about Poswallet.com.
Previously I have staked my coins there but till now I didn't check what is going on there, let me check it first.

For me, I'm not affected by other negative comments regarding staking coins with PoSWallet website. I trust them and I still stake some coins there. Though like I said in my previous post here, I only stake in PoSWallet staking pool where I hold fewer amount of a coin such as Espers. My coins such as BitBean which I now hold in great amount, I stake them in my own desktop QT wallet as it earns better interest (stakes). If however, in a case where I have fewer BitBean, then it would be great to group stake them in PoSWallet.

And there is no other service to provide that??

PoSWallet is a good online staking site. I have some coins staking there nicely.
This concept of group staking is very good if you don't have qt wallet where you can stake from your own pc.

In the case of ONION coin, it is not yet in PoSWallet, but there is a 3rd party online wallet if you want to participate in airdrops.

One of the best ways to stake 24/7. Enjoy!
