I have been looking at the price of the Bitcoin and it is obvious that the price keeps on rising. I was wondering what the price of the Bitcoin would be in 2017. If anyone can come up with a estimate..... Or vote in the poll. This is just a topic for debate.

The price of bitcoin is unpredictable we can not know what will be the price of bitcoin in the future but i think the price of bitcoin will be the same as what price right now but depends if more adoption will come in bitcoin we heard many news about bitcoin like 20 stores in paris are accepting bitcoin as payment brazil 150 stores are accepting bitcoin. Bitcoin banks or any news we are heard right now that can affect population or more users will come that can affect the value of bitcoin.. last few months we heard about 20 store in paris but the price still the same price.. and i think we can see the effect this following 2017 so my estimate i think 1000-1400 dollar per bitcoin..

i believe it will be over 1k, but not sure if we can already break the last ath the next year, because then it would be free territory for a huge pump, i'm seriously waiting the outcome

That $1000 price threshold is somewhat old and recurring prediction for every year since 2013.
Bitcoiners are always wishing that this year will be year when BTC price will reach $1000 and stay there.

i reckon the next 12-18 months are gonna be crunch time regarding bitcoin's usability. if there's no segwit and no other scaling option on the table plus ever rising fees a lot of people might get a little sick of the whole thing. i'll certainly be shopping elsewhere.

if we end up on a clear path to the future then things will look good. if it's more of the same then bitcoin's heading towards a dead end. traders don't care either way in the short term. long term they will.

Even it is an old prediction now we are in nearly 1k value unlike before we are experience last year that the price is 300 value and its double the price this middle 2016 and the price right now after block halving is increase more to 700 value the another goal is 800 value and 900 value if the price will touch in 800 to 900 value before mid year i think the price will touch to 1k value since we are heard that many adoption are come..

My vote on less than a current value. there is pretty decent chance we see sub $750 Bitcoin in 2017. Unless something dramatically changes in the development and adoption, the next year shouldn't be very different from this one. So yes, some occasional pumps, but stable value should not exceed current levels.

At the moment everything tells us that the price should go up in 2017. Of course surprises are possible, Bitcoin is very volatile but I expect by March 2017 that we achieve 900 to 1000. If some big crashes or hackers attacks don't ruin are wishes and expectations. Some dumps are also very likely in between but hope nothing big.

Two extremes ? I guess $1500 also will be possible by 2017. Indian markets are already trading above $1000 so why not we expect others will start following that up trend ?

For all the wishful thinking and pipe dreams of the bears, it's pretty unreasonable for the price to be below $1000 by the end of 2017.

Of course some unforeseen event could drive the price back down to triple digits after it passes the ATH, but as more markets open up (as India has recently) the price has to go up.

You can dream about sugar plums and lower prices to your heart's content but in the real world, Bitcoin is being used as a safe haven for wealth and as an international transfer medium by more people in more countries all the time. To think the price would actually be lower is simply unrealistic.

More or less than $850 I guess. But its possible that it would break the all time high but its too early for the 1st quarter of the year. I guess 2nd quarter would do if ever.

Below 1000 is very unlikely, I'd say the minimum that we'd be at is 1500 next year, without any significant driving factors that'll make the price go up. Of course small bumps will happen here and there that will make the price fluctuate as it always has, but Bitcoin is generally held by lots of people and we'll get to 2000 eventually, if not by late 2017 or early 2018.

why? if there are no inspirations to go up why would the price double from here? there's no particular reason why it shouldn't be $500 by then if nothing changes.

I wished a lot price to be around 1000 before new year, in one moment that seems possible. I'm bad in predicting price of bitcoin, now I just can hope for 1000 $ to happen sooner, with beginning of the new year.
Holding that price all year would be good for bitcoin economy.

When we are at it, then what is the 'inspiration' for bitcoin to stay above $700 anyway? Because I see nothing special here, just progress of adoption and awareness.
You think that native price of bitcoin should be below $500 for any particular reason?

It will be the at the pricing of $1000 dollars per bitcoins but if indians are going to involved bitcoins in there life then there are big chances that bitcoin will be more than this speculation. Indian are good traders too and bitcoins there are + 14-16 percent more.

if that news will make a big impact with the current value for sure more and more people will be interested to go and invest as well if india will make certain moves we will see much bigger value this coming years lets hope for the best and continue to promote and introduce bitcoin to our friends and relatives.

Wisest option is for me current price-1000$. I don't see it going higher than that point, but I don't see it going much lower than the current price.

and anything else would just be wrong.

first of all we can never say these things for 100% but some things are clear. for example price will not be lower than $700 in a year from now assuming nothing horrible happens. so there is only up to go and also going up considering how price has changed in the last 2 years is not going to be some crazy number like $2500 all of a sudden (again if nothing horrible happens).

We are also heard about a news in paris that they added 20 stores accepting bitcoin as payment and i think it should has be impact that the price will increase more because more people right now knows about bitcoin and more stores will be added in other country it can be increase more the value of bitcoin. the adoption right now is increasing but we are halving a problem about the transaction speed the proper fee is not same because the transaction size is always different everytime you transact that already happen to me few days ago. unlike before that i have only 200kb+ size for every transaction before now i am experience to 1mb above..

I have voted for current-$1000, price may keep swinging at this range in next year also if there will be no any good announcement or events for bitcoin came up in 2017. Crossing $1000 will be really hard for bitcoin and i don't think it will be crossed by end of next year also.

According to my predictions, price bircoin will be easily reach $1,000 in April 2017, probably in the year 2017 bitcoin price will reach $1,200, and at the end of the year 2017 could reach $1,500. It may sound redundant, but a rise in 2016 already 300% from 2015.

Fluctuations in the current bitcoin ever increasing and many factors that cause the bitcoin prices rise. I am sure this will continue to last a long time until the end of 2017. I predict that the price of bitcoin in 2017 will reach $ 1,000. That would be achieved around the middle of the month. I think we are already heading towards $1000 but it may take upto mid of next year so by end of 2017 i think we will see price well above $1000.

Around 30 days bitcoin prices are holding above $700 price levels, it means its support levels are too strong to break upper resistances at $760 to $800 levels.
We need to remember here that last time bitcoin took less than 15 days to fly from $700 to $1000 levels.

Anyway, I  think it will more likely to cross 1k USD, with the Segwit and upcoming LN, even though there are lots of controversy in this update, Im sure bitcoin will be hyped and push the price pass to 1k USD, that is if there is no bad press to happen.

That's because people are either gamblers expecting insanely high price levels, or they are just troll voting. Polls here should never be seen as some sort of an indicator or prediction. Funny is that people are loud when their prediction is close to the reality, but at the time they are wrong (which mostly is the case), you don't hear anything from them anymore. Like it never happened. :P

My estimate, the price of the bitcoin could double from current prices i.e. range $1,500-$1,800. I am quite optimistic with these things, because the performance of the bitcoin during 2016 has already proven to be very good.

My choice is not in the poll. Many companies are accepting blockchain technology right now. I expect more and more will follow. 2017 is the year for bitcoin. At the first quarter of 2017 i think the price will rise up to $850 a piece. At the half, $950. And it will stabilize untill it reach the end of 2017.

Actually bitcoin price in the year of 2017 will not change as i can see in the article of pages or i just read them well i can't really say or them that the price of bitcoin in this year will be great as well this is just a prediction. But my real estimate price it will range into $900-$1000 USD Dollars only per coin.Let's just wait for this to happen

I voted for current value-1000, because this just seems realistic. We have seen btc 1000$ before and it is not very far from that now, so within the year it may get somewhere close to that. However, I don't think that it will go above this sum, because I just don't see any good reasons to believe in that.

I voted for $1000. We all like that to happen. Since many people now recognize the bitcoin. Expect the continious growth of users and the more users the more rise the price gains. Besides, we are at the $700 barrier and i think it is easy for the price to rise at $1000 a piece. We all know at the latter days of bitcoins, it already reached $1000 so why not this gonna happen again?

It is gonna happen, bitcoin will reach $1000, already did - just not globally.
People were paying way above standard 'global' rate for BTC in India recently when Indian government decided to withdrawn 1000 and 500 rupee banknotes.
This move caused huge uproar and Indian citizens flocked to buy BTC, that caused price to go way up to $850.
Similar story happened in Nigeria a week ago - Bitcoin reached $1250 there.

It's likely that the price reaches this range, maybe even in the two thousand dollars range, but after a while, I believe there will be a phase of price correction, so the value can stabilize between $ 1000 and $ 1500, but it's still too early to be sure.

I see a big rise and a big fall in 2017

From the information that I got, the price to produce a single Bitcoin, at the moment, is something around 600 USD, so if the price drops it will not be that much.
If improvements like segwit are implemented, I think we'll see some rise, probably this year. After segwit, the price changes next year will depend on adoption, apps like megaupload 2.0, lightning network and such things.

How about you give me back the bitcoin you stole from me and then it'll go to 10k?

i think for the end of 2017 its really hard for the bitcoin price to reach in above than $1,500 but i think if only $1,000 then its could be possible to reach because with many of people will start using bitcoin in 2017, the price will be go up in next year. but its just only my prediction, i don't know the reality what will happen in next 2017.

High possibility bitcoin would be around current price - $1000 in 2017 if there is no problem and bitcoin adoption keep increases. It maybe hard to reach $1000 if we don't make any progress as this month the price seems stagnant at $730, it's good than before of course and we hope the price keep increasing.

I think that we will surpass 1000$ in the second half of 2017.
After that there can be a longer period of stagnation, so I would say by the end of 2017 the bitcoin price might be somewhere slightly above 1000 dollars.

My prediction is that it will be trading in the $500 to $1000 range. Going above that can be harmful in the long run.

As far as i know  bitcoin is still alive  at year 2017.  Even though some people already  give there predictions in 2017,all we know is ,its only a guess and  not the exact things that will happen to bitcoin.

As I wish that it can be higher than it is now, but when we think of it if gets to its highest there might be a bad effect in anyway possible Like some investment site might become scam due to the users expectation that they cant meet because of btc value . The bitcoin predictions are good but the fact is that it will be hard predict indeed, I really hope it will reach the 1000 dollar fast, in the first quarter.

I think we need to wait for the activation of Segwit to see the course of price, it seems a hot debate between developers.  This somehow affect the price of bitcoin and it is uncertain if it will affect in positive or negative way.  The uncertainty of price is due to the different stance of the developer regarding this matter.  So in my opinion we can never say if Segwit will boost the price of bitcoin.  So for now i cannot see 1000 USD coming unless Segwit will produce a big hype when it is activated.

Bitcoin splits in two: $400-500 plus $100-150 on another chain
Bitcoin does not split (I favor this scenario): $700-1000 if no ETF (COIN) or $2500-3500 if ETF starts trading early in the year.

Bitcoin will quite good in this year and for next year it will continiously keep rising. I know there are traders make profit every day because of this unstable price of bitcoin i estimate the price of bitcoin in June 2017 that it would be at the price of $1200 maybe less or more :)

Demand is determined by CAPITAL FLOWS from competing markets.

Do you guys realize how small $11 Billion is in terms of financial markets? Honestly?

Apple (1 company) is worth $600 Billion dollars.  Paypal ( a completely crap system) is worth $50 Billion and it's totally proprietary.

There is a total of $365 Trillion in world markets including real estate.

Bitcoin is THE ONLY SYSTEM ON PLANET EARTH that is decentralized and trust-less.

Just as a store of Wealth it competes with Gold a $7 Trillion dollar market cap.

The odds of a market cap <$35 Billion next year is LOW..

So take ( $35-$45 Billion / 16 Million ) and this is WORSE CASE SCENARIO price of bitcoin by end of 2017.

If seqwit and LN and a moderate 2mb on chain solution is reached by q1 ro q2 next year this figure will tripple.

I don't want to be rude but I'm a bit miffed at the lack of understanding of Capital Markets and the nature of Bitcoin as an efficient competitor to these markets.

My predictions based on last year's festival times would be around $980 price levels for the starting of 2017.

well, just need a few days until we arrive at the year 2017 this month to make your best month for this year. with high confidence, I hope that the price of bitcoin will arrive at the price of $ 900 at the end of the year, or more. if that happens, I'll probably sell all bitcoin I have no long minded. My prediction for 2017 is that we will still be hovering around the $1000 mark. There are many nearly to the reality predictions. Many things has happened this year, begin from bitfinex hack, main and important - halving and etc but it's price is nearly 750$. Many people are interested in mining, which isn't so profitable anymore and while many people are atracted and small number of bitcoin is mined, it will be logical if we'll see it's price nearly 1000$ or a little bit higher.

Bitcoin price this 2017 could range  to 1000-1300$ becuase of the increase of demand a lot of new users will be entering this 2017.  We need another 4 years for bitcoin to go 2000$,and that is when another halving occur.

Well, 2016 is the great year for bitcoin so far. Especially after the halving one. For 2017, i don't know about that, but i think the price of bitcoin will back to normal at 2017, because in this christmas, the price will increase so high in my opinion.

Supply is as is, not reduced nor has been added. It's just that coins are distributed well to different persons worldwide.

Also for how much adoption does it need for bitcoin price to reached $2000 and why 4 years is the expected period for bitcoin price to go $2000? You mean the next halving. Not a good basis or reference though. Also while adoption is increasing, expect also some increase of usage hence the price will become balanced, moderate to average pump and dump.

If you predict the price could reach $1300 dollar during 2017 then you do not need to wait for four long years to see $2000 and if we look back you could see that the price was around $300 a year back and now it has risen to this level thanks to major economic restrictions from the government and lack of other investment opportunity.

Yes that is the basic design of bitcoin supply system. There will be no stable/constant supply but at the same time the adoption rate of bitcoins is keep on increasing every day. So both supply and demand are supporting towards huge price levels. (Usually for other commodities either apply or demand will be same and only one factor will be changing at the time).

During almost it's entire childhood of eight years Bitcoin has beaten down, humiliated and declared dead countless times. Against all odds it is still around and walking though, and finally seems to be picking up some pace (mainly not referring to it's current price).

Bitcoin will be trading at a very high price indeed and i always think that the price is too high even now but the trend says otherwise and i do expect the price range will be between $650 to $1000 in the year 2017 .

This would be the exception though! Lot more people from different countries are sick and tied of their national currencies and you know bitcoin is the only international currency that is outside the manipulation of any one government and so provides a reliable alternative or safe haven for people to turn to for safety. Bitcoin is going to reach 1000$ point constantly. I think in this case it will be again some dangerous of hacking attack on some wallets or exchangers and that will affect on bitcoin price and make it fall down. In any case such danger will be forever and if we skip that on the point of 1000$ it will happen on the higher point with more sure percent.

1000+ is an easy target since we are already very near it. This will definitely happen unless another exchange gets hack or shuts down without warning.

This is more easy to reach this coming 2017 that the price will hit above 1k value but there is no assurance that the price will continues to increase.. and i think we are just seeing that the price is increase every time there is new adoption or developer release.. like segwit and 20 stores locally in paris are accepting bitcoin as payment.. and some schools are now accepting bitcoin as payment..

perhaps, the highest price achieved bitcoin in 2017 was $ 1,500. well, that is a high price. but, I think they need to fight big for investors to be able to wait bitcoin prices could reach that price. in fact, they will start to buy bitcoin in large numbers so that when it happens, they can sell their bitcoin

Most probably your predictions will go wrong as once bitcoin will be testing it ATH price levels then it will start attracting more number of new investors as it will be getting more media coverage. Only till getting some initial trigger, it is the problem for bitcoin prices to reach big levels, if it gets then no one will be able to stop it.

Its hard to say what the price is gonna be but I think that it will be around the 1000 dollar, most likely it will be stable around that time and stay on that price too.

According to this we could see bitcoin sky high to 2k with no sweet, if everything that New elected US president think he can do and accomplish.
For us only remains to bee seen what will 2017 bring us.

If nothing changes than the price should not change and stay still at $750, but we all already know that current price has good increases due to more people and merchants investing on bitcoin, I mean bitcoin become more famous now. If nothing bad happens than bitcoin could reach around $750-1000 in the next year.

I agree with you . that current users of bitcoin is more and more. and also the development of bitcoin in the graph continues to rise. I increasingly believe that bitcoin could be a medium of exchange that will be popular in the future.

Bitcoin 2017 will be a good year with a lot of raisings and nice profits but it can also not right now be predicted what is all gonna happen, it will be a great year with some patience we will see this with our own eyes.

i even think with trump economic policies later in his first 100 days that would started in january could be a big punch for bitcoin to get dropped. people expect about bitcoin price every years always high , just don't get upset when the situation turn back and keep believing in bitcoin no matter what.

true, it will be a great year, especially for people who already hold bitcoin they are looking for. many people are saying, and predicts that the price of bitcoin will rise to very high in 2017 that will come. we could see it as the end of 2016, perhaps so bitcoin prices will rise again.

$2,000 is realistic by the end of next year but $15,000 is too high. I can imagine it would be around $2,000 maybe little higher but not to that higher floor.

Never call anyprice levels as 'too much' the respect to bitcoin's value. Just imagine when bitcoin will be having price levels which are higher than previous all-time high prices, surely more number of new people will come and buy bitcoins. The new people's adoption of bitcoin will get it any price levels.

Trump is planning on pumping more of those out of thin air, money into the economy and the bottomline would be for inflation getting out of hand.  At that, our dear bitcoin would once again, take the center stage the play the rule of safe haven, it knows best to play. i think it could be $1500 per bitcoin but still im not expecting its just my opinion because bitcoin price nowadays was being more popular and im thinking with the help of encouraging my office mates to put their money on bitcoin that will be a great part interms of bitcoin price growing. but if it dont hit $1500 its okay for me as long as it hits $1000 barrier. i would be happy if that happens.

That depend on the factors may arise in the early part of 2017. If that factors are favorable to bitcoin then its price may rise to a new high of $1000 to even $2000 level.

I think btc could pass the the 1500$ barrier during 2017. Despite the (17) unlucky number, this year could be a lucky one for btc!

The price of bitcoin will cross the thousand dollar mark since more countries are coming out with new regulations regarding banking and other forms of investments people starts investing in digital currency and so the price would spike further in coming years.Indian exchanges already saw the thousand dollar mark recently and it might reach the same value globally pretty soon.

i am sure that bitcoin price would more rise and shine in the year of 2017 i think that bitcoin price will be rise to above 1000$ because i see that bitcoin price more increasing to highest value each year so i hope that bitcoin will be more increasing its value.

As users continuously increasing, I think that the price of bitcoin would risen up to 1000$ or more, as the demand increases it is really  possible to happen. Two thumbs up for those who has bitcoin savings. Our predictions will surely shoot our expectations by the coming years.

The bitcoin will grow a lot more in this year and it will also get a lot more used too, I think the worth will also increase so that would be very nice for us all, it will be very profitable.

I voted for $1000 - $2500, that's what I am thinking about the price of bitcoin in the coming 2017 year end, that's 12 months to go and usually at year end the price of bitcoin is always increasing. So probably we are going to be at $1000 up next year end. Lets just hope that there is no drama, no hacking and no satire news that would come to bitcoin so its just in its path and won't be derailed.

I of course hope there won't be any drama as well, but let's face it, so far since Bitcoin's very first exchange listing there has always been some sort of drama popping up from time to time. I don't think it will be any different in the coming years. I just hope it won't be anything severe like another exchange supposedly getting hacked, while the operators themselves are are thieves. But some sort of drama that gets the price to go down in a decent manner is basically a very welcome happening for traders as it brings volatility back, plus heavy price swings. In that regard, for me as a trader it wouldn't be that bad of an outcome. But of course, I also don't want more dirt to be thrown at Bitcoin.

I choose $1000 -$2500. No why, but always choose to believe bitcoin.

I also believe in bitcoin. Today the price gone high just crazy. Maybe It's cause of Trump's friends-millionaires began to buy bitcoin?! Haha well, my prediction for 2017 is that bitcoin will jump around 1000$ but 2000$is very big price to be truth.

That is a big range. I think the price could be $2000 at most.

2000$ is still range but aslong as the price rise are still intact and going up at this moment i think the 1k-2k price max level is achievable, but for now i think we will experienc first a littlr dump before we get to that price, and also im pretty sure that road to 1k$ btc will not easy to be achieve at this point since we cannot truly assure that theyre might bad scenario will.be happen but i hope it will not occur at this rate,

I've Voted current price to $1000, because I am not so sure if the price will go much higher than that and it is really hard to predict what will be the possible price that bitcoin will be a bit stable but in 2017 we will have another 12 months so there are two possibilities maybe bitcoin will keep on rising or maybe bitcoins' price will dropped back to $800 or $700 . but I am hoping that the increase will continue on approaching .

Slow and steady growth would be the best thing for Bitcoin, IMO.

I give my voted for $1000 - $2500 in this year although i am not sure that we can reach until that price but we have the chance to see this price. the bitcoin price is not increase so fast but its really slowly and the other time, the price is getting down and up as the price need to  find the stable position. i hope that the price is not getting down for now and only getting up so we can sell while the price is high but we can not predicted what will happen in this year.

I think it is more likely to be around $1000 now for the year if the block size is not increased or there is a hard fork.

1300s after a HF at the end of the year

Right now the price of bitcoin is roaming around $1000 to $1120 and just waiting for the result of the BU - Hard fork, so after the break out of the result we can correctly tell the movement of bitcoin.

It's very difficult to predict the movement of the bitcoin market. That's just fake recover or fake bullish. but honestly in this time the market of the bitcoin is really volatility. according to the latest dump and it's really amazing for me.

Correct, predicting the price is very hard. But I still predict that it will be stable at $1300 soon. Stable meaning that it will remain at this price and the only thing is to go up like $1500 in the near future. But until the BU vs Core issue is not over, we will be at $1000 level only unless someone pump the price, but we don't want that to happen because the next thing is a big dip again. I say $1000-1100 now then it will to $1300-$1500 then $2000 at the end of year.

i think we have to see many times the price is changing and its really makes me confuse, sometimes i am waiting not too long but the other time, i am wait almost half hour. i remember that in this march, i see the price is too much to increase and decrease in a day, sometime the price is jump like rocket, the other time the price is down in bottom. but i voted in $1000-$2500 until the end of 2017 and i hope the price can reach until that price.

I have voted for 1000-2500$ range because i think Bitcoin will set new floor at around 1000$ in next months and after this recent hardfork issue is solved, it will go up. I hope it could touch 2000$ before end of this year.

Well statistically speaking with all the problem resolved it can be expected that the price of bitcoin to rise upto 2000$ .well we cant be so sure but it is also predicted that the price of bitcoins could reach 3000$ .lets hope for the best .

Bitcoin's going to be at $1500 by year's end 2017.  That's my uber-informed opinion, and it's just as good as anyone else's here.  And it's probably going to be right on the money, too.

Yeah right, I also vote range $1000-$2500, the possibility of price bitcoin will always range it's because it's been proven after a price drop $800 and then skyrocketed to $1300 but down again.

I would have voted for $1000 to $2500 but then I fail and accidentally clicked $2500 to $5000, oh well, I still think Bitcoin, after all the drama and FUD, is now ready to go above $2500.  There are several countries taking interest and support Bitcoin.  One of which is Japan which actively supporting Bitcoin and accepting it as mode of payment.  I read Poland has also best respond when it comes to Bitcoin.

Just a bit more push and we can really see Bitcoin reach another ATH and more probably break the $2000 barrier.

I also go for that amount that range is very reliable for me, we do not expect much higher every year we just beleived that every year would gives big profit on every single investment we had.
I expect that before this year end the value of bitcoin is on $2000.

At the end of the year 2017, I think bitcoin will have a price sitting at 1000$-2500$ range because like the past years, I believe bitcoin will go back and forth to a certain price ranges which is 1000$-1200$ even if a dump at sub 1000$ or a pump above 1300$ will occur in the future. This speculation though has a chance of not being true but most probably bitcoin will sit at 1000$-2500$ price range at the end of 2017.

I think you should add $1000- $2000 this option. You use $1000 to $2500, it is more increase price, and i don't think that in the end of 2017 bitcoin would cross $2000. Bitcoin will be under $2000 in the end of the year.

i will simple say that at the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin will be trading above 2000 USD level. as we can see that the price of bitcoin is already trading above 1200 USD level, and i do not think that 2000 USD level is such a big target for bitcoin.

it will be around $1500 that's my final guess bitcoin price is not that always raising because it depends on the market that's how the economy of bitcoin works also . they're depending on the traders and bigwhales. this two are one of the reason why bitcoin price pumping and dumping. Also bitcoin will really hit $1500 because it's impossible to reach morethan $1500 .

In fact, i think there is possibility for bitcoin to break even 1500 US dollars, if some unexpected event will happen, however that is something we cannot say that will occur.
In my opinion, we will see in this half of the year that bitcoin price decreases until 1000-1050 USD levels, and 2 months after that it will bounce up, breaking 1300$ resistance.
After that, the price may even reach to 1500$, and that may be broken if there will be many new people just starting their first experiences with blockchain,and cryptocurrencies.

I predict more drama until a solution to the scaling problem is adopted and the more time goes on and nothing happens, more drama will keep on going.

I am hoping that Bitcoin will reach about 2500 dollars, but I don't think that it will be reaching that price. I think that a more realistic prediction would be Bitcoin reaching about 1500 dollars or maybe even 2000 dollars. I want to earn some good money.

I don't think the btc price will start to climb now. We would need a momentum in price to reach a new ATH and beyond. Once we would reach it I would guess that the sky is the limit.

Such a momentum is made from a pressure that is built by a long time of fairly stable price with a lot of uncertainity within the traders, followed by some possitive event that triggers the rocket launch. In this scenario I would bet 2000 $ by the December.

Another possible momentum that could take us to the new ATH could be triggered by a bounce in price after some huge sellout and a panic buyout following it. When that scenario would happen I would bet a sellout in June/July and a panic buyout in month or two following it. The price predictions in the times of panic are pure gamble. But I would guess that the price could reach 3000 $ for a very short time.

Those are the only possitive scenarios I can imagine. Ofcourse there could be some negative scenarios happening as well, like a slow decline in favour of some alt or such.

I assume that you are the one of the bitcoin holders, so It would be obviously good for you, if the increase of the price would occur.
Hope is only hope, you cannot rely on it. You need to make an analysis, to see what goals bitcoin may achieve this week/month/year, check the crowd moods, etc.
It is very important to see if the momentum is on the market, because without momentum, important price areas are rarely broken, only when some strange events are happening on the markets.

I agree with that. It seems like everytime it hits a larger amount it will set a new floor into which bitcoin will just play with that range of price. Now it is like $1000 - 1200. It might have gotten low the past weeks but I think it is just because of the panic sellers who believed that the ETF thing will bring it down and add up the BU thing. But still it got back.

We need bitcoin problem to get fixed in the future. Or another ATH will not be reached in the future. But the internal problem is the key for bitcoin itself.

The ETF was just hyped up and plays no role anymore in people's minds. Right now it's the negativity around BU that is dominating and suppressing the market. Problem here is that we just don't know when things get solved. If pools want, they can make an end to this whole situation pretty quick, but they can also keep stretching things up till next year. That's why I will keep holding a conservative position till SegWit is activated.

BU is important only for Bitcoin users. For the vast majority of the public (who don't use BTC right now), the news about ETF is going to be the most positive coverage of Bitcoin after quite a long time.

Even if the average person does not know about BU or segwit, that is way more important than any other thing at the moment, we need segwit a lot more than we needed ETF.

It's always difficult to predict, and all we are doing is speculating with the amount of volatility that bitcoin has it is impossible to say if it's going to stable or rise or cash badly. Recently when the possible of fork has caused panic, BTC's price dropped to 900$ ATL of this year but as we can see now it's back to rising 'steadily'.

Price went down in past months but it recovered very quickly and now again it has started to rise slowly which is a good sign for the users of bitcoins as everyone wants to see slow and steady growth instead of major pump where it is always followed by major dump so if it keeps on rising slowly then we will see the price of $1500 pretty soon.

A lot of things are happening now in the world, political and economical stuation is not stable and it influences the bitcoin's stability to a certain degree. Only a careful analysis of every aspect and tendency may tell the approximate price. Or we can always speculate))

I find it too early too make new speculations but it's promosing to see the price touched 1250. A little bit odd that the price in EUR is only 1150 though.

You are taking a call on speculative assumptions and you have no research to back your numbers, correct me If I am wrong. In the short run I do see Bitcoin crossing 1400$. As far as the long run is concerned, I am bit skeptical as to what the future will bring for all of us. With the USA closing in on North Korea and North Korea not liking it, could a war be eminent. If a war breaks out, the prices of Bitcoins shall definitely break the roof, but that's one thing we do not wish ever happens.

BU may or may not be good for bitcoins as we dont want two different block chain for bitcoins as we have with ETH. I think ETF has been welcomed by the bitcoin user and hence we see lot of price increase in bitcoins these days. Lets hope for more positive news

BU isn't important for anyone beside Ver and Wu. It's nothing more than an attempt to take over Bitcoin in a hostile manner. Other than that, your post doesn't make any sense.

Jihan, and to certain degree Ver, are controlling bitcoin mining, at least large portion of it, so they can do whatever they please with that power. Unfortunately.
What is even more interesting Jihan allowed SegWit activation for Litecoin. Why is he blocking it for Bitcoin?
