Hold on to your seatbelts, the value of DASH has skyrocketed to $44 USD (up from $12 USD in Janurary). Recently the is explosive growth in value, with a 50% increase in the past 3 days alone. Check out the data from the graph below:

It is plenty clear that there is a sudden interest in DASH. DASH is a crypto currency similar to bitcoin, with two major differences. First of all DASH is maintained by a paid community rather than a free community, with 10% of all DASH generated going to the DASH team. Secondly DASH has major enhancements on privacy, making transaction information more private than bitcoin.

Reason why whales can so easily manipulate DASH price are Masternodes. They lock DASH so it is not on exchanges as in all other coins. So right now there is more ZCash on exchanges then DASH and there is 10 times less ZCash created.
Theoretically DASH can be worth even more then Bitcoin altho no one will use it

Of all the crypto aimed at privacy DASH has to be the worst investment of them all on a technical level, the only thing they have going is for them is HYPE and bashing better alternatives with lies.

Just like Litecoin reached $55,Dash has reached $51.But litecoin quickly fell down in price and lets wait and see whether same would happen to dash or not.Since lots of dash are blocked in nodes, availability of dash coins in market is low and hence, price of dash coins can be easily manipulated.I think it must be a huge pump.

Anything that moves 50% in 3 days is a pump, and noobs should beware (you are being enticed to buy so the pumpers can offload their coins to you at juicy prices).

A +20% (dayrange) move should always cause concerns on keeping a portfolio position any longer.
Stanford or Princeton should do some research regarding customer retention in crypto, or brand loyality if there is any.

What they have “going for them” is simply a monetary model that works. That’s why the techno-trainspotter community had it pass them by.

In most regards the so dubbed Masternodes have been target of continual protests. But they offer something other's can't establish and at the current moment I do not know of any other methods to improve the declining confidence in anything Altcoin related. Staking might have been working but got abused on to many scamcoins.
Confidence in alts beeing at an all time low in a bitcoin run.

Of course they have superior technology, DASH merely offers sufficiently tech instead. Best is the enemy of better, Better is the enemy of good, Perfect is the enemy of good but in the end people just use stuff that's easy to grasp and handle.

There is no way that this pump is sustainable, so we are going to see Dash stagnate for ages now until the next pump, everyone that isn't an idiot should have sold for BTC already.

This is very good for Dash, bitfinex is now a very large exchange, and re-listing Dash is a win-win situation, they can make tons of trading fees.

That gets called "Masternode" not bagholding, some sort of staking in my opinion. Depends upon the personal size of engagement, a small speculative position should be given up by now, not looking back for next half year. A chunk of the suitable size for running a node could go exactly therein.

One of the biggest challenges in Altcoins seems to be customer loyalty. They call everything Shitcoin and that's it.
So far no ingenious invention known against that. Promises of high revenue like seen in some extreme POS constructs ended up in the trickster's bag of confidence tricks.
