Given the very dodgey launch of Dash with that bug that saw someone get some very large percentage coins (ghost mine) why has no one forked and relaunched?

Reason why whales can so easily manipulate DASH price are Masternodes. They lock DASH so it is not on exchanges as in all other coins. So right now there is more ZCash on exchanges then DASH and there is 10 times less ZCash created.
Theoretically DASH can be worth even more then Bitcoin altho no one will use it

Put in a short at .024. It failed. Put in another at .038. It failed. Put in ANOTHER at .045. Please let this be the peak god damn I'm losing good money here.

I shorted too early, but it's fine. Dash is going back down to the .01's eventually, just going to let my most recent short appreciate in value for the next few weeks. :^)

Of course they have superior technology, DASH merely offers sufficiently tech instead. Best is the enemy of better, Better is the enemy of good, Perfect is the enemy of good but in the end people just use stuff that's easy to grasp and handle.

Hold on to your seatbelts, the value of DASH has skyrocketed to $44 USD (up from $12 USD in Janurary). Recently the is explosive growth in value, with a 50% increase in the past 3 days alone. Check out the data from the graph below:



It is plenty clear that there is a sudden interest in DASH. DASH is a crypto currency similar to bitcoin, with two major differences. First of all DASH is maintained by a paid community rather than a free community, with 10% of all DASH generated going to the DASH team. Secondly DASH has major enhancements on privacy, making transaction information more private than bitcoin.

There is no way that this pump is sustainable, so we are going to see Dash stagnate for ages now until the next pump, everyone that isn't an idiot should have sold for BTC already.

This is very good for Dash, bitfinex is now a very large exchange, and re-listing Dash is a win-win situation, they can make tons of trading fees.

That gets called "Masternode" not bagholding, some sort of staking in my opinion. Depends upon the personal size of engagement, a small speculative position should be given up by now, not looking back for next half year. A chunk of the suitable size for running a node could go exactly therein.

One of the biggest challenges in Altcoins seems to be customer loyalty. They call everything Shitcoin and that's it.
So far no ingenious invention known against that. Promises of high revenue like seen in some extreme POS constructs ended up in the trickster's bag of confidence tricks.
