Personally I think its time to sell a little to buy back in later.

As the price increase is happening without much time gap. Try to keep hold of it. Even when the price moves down, after a short time fluctuating within some limitations once again moving forward. So it's good to hold, or make a target and sell or set time limit to wait for one or two days and sell it.

With the current trend, I think it's only right to say that it's buy time and sell when you feel like a big dump is going to happen (which is unlikely right now)

I dont know  how  there is increase in btc price that much or any other major altcoin.is there any money crisis in any country?

Yeah me too, I think it is really time to sell. The prices have really risen to high level since it's last dip and I think this is a good time to cash out your money and wait for a sudden sharp dip again then buy back with more funds since you sold it all at the high points.

I thought that many would vote "Sell!" But I was mistaken. Many people like me think that now is not the time to sell and buy. I do not buy anymore, because the price is high. But I do not sell yet, because I hope that the price will be even higher

I think it's time to sell and buy again when the price is cheap.
Maybe the price will keep going up but i also dont know when bitcoin price will decreased.

So are you thinking of shorting?  Or just plain sell and buy back when price goes lower?  I would rather hold for now, seems bulls are not tired yet.  Probably we can see as high as $1600 this month.  There are still lots of good news coming and fresh funds to flow in bitcoin economy.  I think there are several major company from Japan who wants to venture in Bitcoin so I guess that is enough to push Bitcoin price abit more higher.

Depends on your needs of money,if you do like to sell off to secure some profits then its still the best time to do so since we are still on a rally,we wont know on when it would stop and crash/dip again. Short trading might be profitable as of now how much more on long traders.I would like to suggest sell off a partial amount of it then buyback later just like what being said by most people.

It would be nice if you first analyze the market price before you sell it

If you are a short-medium term holder, you can sell now, it's a good idea, you will make a nice profit and I'm almost sure the price will drop again at least to $1300 or $1400, so you can buy again. But if you are a long term holder, just continue holding the BTCs as the price will increase much more in the future.

 And how can you analyse current market? Can't you see that bitcoin is making new records every day. After each big increase we see a nice drop after, how to predict right moment is hard, that is why I think that trading is very similar with gambling.
I think it's time for selling, but who knows, this bull run can last a bit longer, we never know. Try your luck, but always know that shorting doesn't work always.

In my own opinion i would say that it is better to wait a little bit longer cause bitcoin will definitely crossed the 1600$ marked before selling those bitcoins.

Too late, But the chart gets a correction. It will need more analyzation. Because if you're failing to buyback on the lower and the price will keep its bullish trend and you will be lost your train.

No, looks we are near to bitcoin correction. To buy it's not a right answer caused by the price will decrease for a little. Just try to buy on the correction of bitcoin or I mean to try to short it.

Just hold it for now. What I feel is bitcoin will grow more according to the present trends. The best part is there isn't a sudden decrease or increase in the price of bitcoin. Bitcoin will increase and decrease steadily. So you will know when it have started decreasing and is a time to sell.

I'd suggest to buy, rest assured the price will continue to rise so if we sell so we can't get a better price. I will continue to buy bitcoin because sure price will continue to skyrocket.

overall strategy is HODL, and always will be HODL. there is no argument there.

but for short term you sell on top and buy back right away after the dip. for the time-being I say your suggestion of selling (yesterday) was a good one but I don't think rise is over. it will continue to rise throughout the following week and then it would be a better time to sell for a short term profit before the correction.

You can sell a little, because there is a risk of falling prices. And you always need to keep some part for the future.

otherwise selling bitcoin is like selling Apple shares at 1 cents in early days of it coming out.

That's how solid hodlers think about Bitcoin, but if you look in general, less experienced people get wet pants as soon as they see the price that has gone up like 25% and sell as result.

Only those with a strong believe in the possibilities of Bitcoin will be able to refrain from selling at current prices. Our aim is far beyond those that are short term minded. We're sitting on a whole different level.

Let them sell. With fiat investment 25% profit is amazing, most newbies who bought Bitcoin and noted profit of this magnitude is happy.
They lack deeper understanding that for bitcoin is not the end, it is only a beginning, with each passing year price is higher.
And we have pillars- in form of positive news, which generate even higher price - just as current high price was caused by Japan adoption above all else.

You can buy the bitcoins as according to me the price of bitcoins would be more than 2000$ by the end of this year and it might so happen that if you hold on to ur current bitcoins,you will be able to made quite a bit of money through it.

OP if you think that you can earn your profit on selling it now, I guess it is time because you have it now also if you are really in need to have it at the moment then go with that, but if not that important I guess, you better hold it or buy if you really can now, chances is in your hands, sell or buy is your choice.

I think that bitcoin price is currently a bit too over inflated. People think that it's still alright, bitcoin is going to go $2,000 this year and I agree with them. But not this fast, you cannot have bitcoin going up $200 in 2-3 days and not call it a bubble.

I think a short term adjusment is due anytime now, already down $50 from yesterday, I think it's still not the price we are supposed to be at. I wouldn't be surprised at all if bitcoin's price adjusted to $1300 or even $1200 in the short term before bouncing back up.

There is an opportunity though when that happens to load up on cheap coins again :)

You know what I'm afraid of? to sell right now in hopes of a drop in price just to find out that price will never go down :).
Daily around 200K Bitcoins are being traded, so it's about 1M in one week, dismiss 1M Bitcoins of the founder we're left with 15M so in about 15 weeks all the whales and traders and holders should logically run out of supply and we'll be left with 2K daily coins mined by miners.
Either people are idiots to buy high and sell low or just plain idiots not to hold their positions and not demanding for much higher prices.
Believe it or not even if you ask for $2000 now after buyers see how hard it is to mine they will come buying your $2000 coins.

Because their is a money crisis in your country people with money want to run to something that will hold value if their money does even worse.
Hence crytocurrencies a good old satoshi whitepaper proof of utility argument.

yes that is true, bitcoin price increase more in future, i think the present rally will continue for next few months,  and therefore it is expected that the price of bitcoin will cross 2000 USD level very easily, some people are even expecting that the price of bitcoin will reach to 3000 USD level at the end of 2017. 

Yes, it seems that global market begin to decline and bitfinex no longer become the one which has highest exchange rate, start to normal I think but coinbase has higher price of bitcoin right now. Sell now and then the price will increase again, lol. But, before it going so far (decline) better to sell a bit but not so much, based on your calculations. For me, I won't sell any, I've done that before and regret it until today, so no more.

Why such an accurate forecast? I think that until the end of May, you can still wait with the sale, but then the price will start to fall.

I voted for buy and along with that I also favor for hold. Like buy bitcoins and hold for longer time that will make us to earn the profit. Many people claim that the price of bitcoin is now high and not the time to buy and they are waiting for the price to lower but they are at wrong as they do not know that with the passage of time the price of bitcoin will increase more higher and will not come to lower value so theyr wait is useless the better idea is that they buy now they will get a good benefit.

Holding bitcoin is a very profitable thing. Currently it is seen that bitcoin prices will rise again.
Do a bitcoin purchase and then store it, waiting is a tiring thing but very profitable for us.

yes there is no doubt that different exchanges are trading bitcoin in different price, but i do not think that we should sell our bitcoin only for that reason, to me i think still there is too much potential in the price of bitcoin and their for still it is good time to hold bitcoin and not to sell it. because the price of bitcoin is still expected to increase more and more.

I can say hold, if you sell now probably you will be buying BTC higher.  The market is very bullish, they believe this is only the beginning of the second wave of Bitcoin, so they believe that more increase will come in the next weeks.  It is better to have Bitcoin when the price surge up again rather than panic buying when it starts to move upward but well, seems you have sold, I hope you can buy your new BTC at a cheaper price.

To buy back later? It is not a good idea as if you will buy back later then you will not get them in that price for what you will sell now buy you will get it at a more higher value. So better is that hold them and if you get some money then also buy some more bitcoin to get the future profit.

I think it would be wise to sell a bit then wait for the correction and Buy more. This way you will be able to increase your stash of Bitcoin without adding more money to you investment.  We all believe that after a rapid incline in price, a price correction occur and that is what you must take advantage of.

I also made that mistake and sold my coins at $1250, awaiting for a great correction to buy at $800 and $700. That price was never achieved and I continue expecting for that moment that perhaps never will arrive. So I would recommend you to be patient and hold your valuable coins.

in fact no one know about the price of bitcoin that either it will still continue to increase or will take a little correction, but i think most of the people are prediciting about the price of bitcoin and it is going to increase.

Looks like people are sold their bitcoin after this post made.. upon checking the chart movement from may 4 to 5 there is a high dump but i think you are wrong to sell you bitcoin because the price was rise again back and it will increase more soon.. this is i think the success happen in japan.
More demand will come on japan i think because of this good news the price can be push until reach $1600-$1700 this is what people thinking right now about bitcoin .

Not if the price goes down. Personally I think that is the best trading strategy you can initiate right now - not get caught in the hype of bitcoin's price increase but rather keep a cool head, maybe just take half your savings out of bitcoin, convert it into fiat currencies and then wait for a few days. It won't hurt as I don't think that bitcoin will go to more than $2,000 this year, even if it goes up.

To be honest though, bitcoin has great potential and definitely will go up in the long run. But short term wise, sell now and buy back later.

There are still many possibilities that can happen. Now bitcoin has become one of the most valuable items in the world.
Even the price becomes more out of prediction. This is a miracle if bitcoin prices reach 2000USD in this year.

Because of this bullish run and such increase inprice in recent months, I don't think it will be a miracle if bitcoin reaches the $2k mark in the end of year 2017.

i agree with you that never sell bitcoin because bitcoin price will be rise more and more and maximum people hold their bitcoin for the future and they are sure that bitcoin will be more increase its price and they will be get a good profit in the future.

Holding and buying small amounts you feel comfortable with sounds like a good plan to me, even better if you manage to slowly increase you stash of coins.

If someone is looking for a long term investment and wait more for the price to go deeper then it is not good while if he will do small term trades then he can buy and sell at regular intervals when the fluctuations in the price occurs. In this way a trader can earn a high profit.

i think there is no need to surprise about this, if the price of bitcoin can cover 400 point in few days, then how can it be difficult for it to cover next 400 point in next 8 months. i think the price of  bitcoin will even cross 2500 USD level at the end of 2017.

Do you realize that in order to gain profits, that you are needing to sell or spend your coins? Probably not. It's basically the same as when the price goes down. You only lose when you sell or spend your coins. Increased or decreased value only matters if you are obsessed with fiat. I put more value in Bitcoin itself than in the fiat value that it represents in current times. That's exactly why I don't cash out any of my coins to fiat. I just trade my way up to increase my Bitcoin holdings.

If you're going to buy, don't do it now. Price is still plenty high and it could drop in the next few days easily and although price has the chance to go higher you'll be burned pretty badly if it doesn't. If it drops, buy the dip. Works every time.

Yeah price is too high at a moment so not the right time to buy as if price goes down in coming weeks then you will be going through a loss so I think this is a good price to sell some bitcoins and make profits and wait for the price drop in coming weeks so that you can buy some more of them at lower price.

Looking at the increase in price of bitcoins since long time I have a feeling that price will continue to move higher in next couple of months so hoping for that I will prefer to buy some more bitcoins so that I can sell them when price will go much higher and if I am in urgent need of cash then will prefer to sell some of my coins but majority of them will be saved for the future.

You can see the chart of bitcoin from previous year and you will see that the price of bitcoin is increasing up and up and only for some time interval it come back while again start to increase so if anyone will invest in bitcoin then he should not have to think that he will face the lose because of his investment in bitcoin but he will earn a good income with the passage of time. Just need patience and wait for some more time.

Yes price has increased like crazy in this year in compare to last year so people who would have bought their bitcoins at lower price in last year have made enough profits by this time so if we invest in bitcoins now then may be in next year we would be sitting at some comfortable position enjoying higher profits.

Yes, the price will constantly grow and therefore you need to buy or earn bitcoins to save for the future.

It's good thing to hold our earnings for now since price are super high and maybe we can earn huge from it if we hold our patience to hold still but in buying well it is a good thing to buy at this current level but i think also that only rich people could buy at this price since this is evenmore expensive right now and middle class people can't buy for now.

buy next week ? if you already sold your bitcoin you probably can't buy right now I guess ;D sometimes being carried away by excitement will lead to regret so it's better to monitor the activity of the price first before making a move so in the end you can be much satisfied ;D
