Title: Buying for a long term.
Post by: zahra4577 on May 06, 2017, 01:36:01 PM
I want to buy few Altcoins which have some strong good concept and which are beneficial for the crypto world somehow.
Of course my intention is to make good profit but I do not want to invest for that sole purpose.
I would be interested in something in which I get profit by holding and not by selling when it reach a particular price.
I am considering following Altcoins but do not know what benefits they give to their holders.

2.Wings
3.Ark

The prices are quite high already. Even for coins that have not much to offer. You could always go in for a gamble and bet on anything and hope for the best. I think XPR still have some potential. Whereas Bitcoin already reached their high end and Litecoin is getting there, XPR would still need to go 8-9x higher to reach back to it's all time high. The project development is actually pretty promising and realistic. Also the fact that Bitstamp listed them might tell that they know something that we don't. I am betting my money to them.

Actually true, a bad time for buying new coins is now if you don't have any BTC. So for USD equivalent its not the best time.

I think JANUS TOKEN is one of the best tokens I have seen so far as they are building mainstream businesses and giving dividends. I also invested recently in Encryptotel and TAAS and have enough INSANE COIN to make 8 masternodes. There are other coins and tokens as well to add to the list.

I was expecting to read the reasons also why you are sugesting a particular coin.As I said my purpose is not buy low and sell high.I want to invest in something useful.
Like Ethereum in which I have already invested.

If that is the case then you should buy Litecoin. I dont think you got any other option for long term. I bought very less LTC in the early stages and should have bought more, the rate is now rising and it looks promising for the future now.

i don't like all this ico and smart contracts coins based on ETH they feel like easy scam, i would rather invest in new altcoin, that have nothing to do, there is this new bitcore clone of bitcoin which appear to be good, has everything that bitcoin don't have, or there is nexus which has anti quantum features, i like also stratis as a next big pos coin

Everything is very high in price right now. I suggest that you look for new ICO that has the backing of known people in the cryptospace. I am thinking about a long term investment on QTUM once it is listed in Poloniex. If someone knows the ICO price please tell us.

Me, XRP, Waves, ARK, DGB. They are cheap yet good potential coin at the market. Also look for upcoming IOTA. Its not yet available at exchange but the marketcap seems very good. You can buy at their slack channel thru an invite. And ofcourse check out creditbit on my signature.

there are two main problems with the question that you are asking in my opinion.

first is the fact that altcoins are not good for long term investment at all. they all go down in long term because with all things said and done there is no usefulness for most of them anyways.

secondly you are picking a terrible time for thinking about investing, and investing long term for that matter! right now we are in a big altcoin bubble and although many are still rising that doesn't change the fact that these are going to pop soon.

The mind set about cryptocurrencies is changing faster as it is transforming into real investing market now. There is lot of space in the room to expand in coming months and years on long term. We all today's crypto enthusiasts can become tomorrow's elite and rich if we set our goals and plans accordingly by choosing real projects with idea of holding them for at least 2 years if nothing happens in this period.

If you hold 10000 lisk and you vote for delegates you can easily make 100 $ a month with voting. And that is only with current price of lisk. The price increase potential of LSK token in a year or two is at least 10x....

Op, the less risky way to make it big in crypto currencies is to buy them when there are lower in values and hold them for along time and sold them when the price has increased in 1000%. Just look at bitcoin early last year bitcoin was selling around $350 but today bitcoin is above $1,500.

You should not invest now as the price is a bit high than normal. You should wait for the price to fall and go all in and wait for few weeks or even months to get profit. You get loss also but the chances of that happening is too less. And also there is a full guarantee that the price will cross 2000$ so you shouldn't be scared of you getting a loss, just don't be too late

Look at the following candidates:

1. Ether (ETH): Price is already at 0.05 BTC and rising. This is going to switch from POW to POS, then the price will be more than double.
2. ZenCash (ZEN): Upcoming platform based on zero-knowledge proof, currently the only way to invest in this is to buy ZCL, which will give you the same amount of ZEN once launched (launching on 23 May) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1819977.0
3. MimbleWimble: Not yet launched, currently work under development as Bitcoin's side chain. It was originally proposed as an improvement to Bitcoin to solve it's privacy & scaling related issues. But since it required significant changes to core protocol and results in hard fork, it was decided to launch it as a separate coin. Google it.

Just buy some eth or btc and send them to your account at bittrex and start buy and sell all alt coins, or just buy bitbay.
I prefer to start buy eth, its just soooo much faster transfer (btc suck at transfer). But then u would have to sell them for btc and then buy bitbay.

yeah find some coins with easy transaction period then sell it out to btc before buying either nem, xrp, ltc or eth those coins are still pumping and dumping so better to make a good timing to earn from the fluctuations, good to hold and wait for the value to reach your target goal.

I also believe that these are only the initial steps of Cryptos. We are not talking here only alternative currencies, as we are used to FIATs, but a whole new technology, which can change the way we work (blockchain tech, smart contrast, internet of things, etc). Just today in my office work I encountered something that could be a smart contract project in everyday life: http://www.etztec.com/

And how many do you think we are globally involved in this?.... https://www.xrpchat.com/topic/4463-huh-there-are-just-3-million-cryptocurrency-users-worldwide/

So yes, for me it is not a bubble, just a technology that will totally burst at some point and become routine. I only wish I have chosen the right Cryptos, Altcoins, how you wanna call them.

There is no benefit for the holders. You will get a good development update to make your coin will get increase on the price and you can sell them for profit. Honestly too many project can't deliver a real product for the holders.
I can say some of them just offering crap for the holders. But all of them have a good idea and solid development.

Some really interesting projects are in the market of which tokens are under valued right now but have huge potential to grow few times over the time. As this topic is for long term then do some research and where you see solid teams and project just buy some and sit back without looking at the everyday's price because these will not let to stay calm.

Waves is my favorite too. It is following the same trajectory as the rise of Monero. I have been following Monero when it was worth 1$, and it's rise has been consistent month by month. I see the same thing in waves, it's rise has been solid. It does not go through major pump and dump like other shitcoins. It consolidates and rise slowly. Come back in a year, i'm sure it will break $10. Mark my words.

Other bet will Bitbay. It's undervalued given that it already has deployed marketplace. And major milestones coming in few months.

Since a few weeks ago, I have saved ltc and eth, when their rate is still low. Although, if i sell at this time i will earn profit more than 200%. But, i still hold it and believe they're still strong to climb higher.

The Market Capitalization of a cryptocurrency also, in a way, determines its long-term survival. When you multiply a cryptocurrency’s current supply by its current price, you get the market cap of that cryptocurrency. So in general, the supply also has significant impact on the market cap. These two go hand in hand to determine the amount of cryptocurrencies left to be released and how that will translate into prices. And for me Bitcoin, ethereum, neo and litecoin are mostly the best for long term.

If you buy bitcoin and choose to invest for a long time then you must have a visionary eye, catch the market fluctuations. If long-term investment in bitcoin is successful with great profit. You have to be sure if bitcoin prices fall down, do not rush to sell.

What is NIO? I have never heard about that coin before.

Sonder is a good choice if you are looking to invest into a new project before it gets to exchanges. INS a very good decision too.. But WPR is not a goodd one.

I like waves but the price is a bit to high now.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on Pre-ICO stage right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

I suggest you put NEO in consideration among the altcoins you wanna invest to, not only you got the Chinese market backing you up but this coin shows a lot of potential, for me its like a better version of Ethereum, I've been eyeing on this coin for a while now and i can say that the volatility of this coin is one of the safer choices among the competition.

Of course my intention is to make good profit but I do not want to invest for that sole purpose.
I would be interested in something in which I get profit by holding and not by selling when it reach a particular price.
I am considering following Altcoins but do not know what benefits they give to their holders.
1.Golem
2.Wings
3.Ark

Haven't heard about those coins before.
I will try to do some research first.
However, thanks for the input.
Best of luck!

Bitcoin prices are currently unstable and tend to fall. Very good for long term investment. Forget and do not often see the market place. Because it will make us feel panic.dengan have a long-term investment goals that will make us not panic and will be patient to wait until bitcoin rise again.

When buying bitcoin for a long time that has not earned a profit. I'm so bored! Can someone help me how to do it? Short-term investment is low profit, so I keep and wait for the price of it up. But the longer the wait, the bitcoin is going down. When will the price increase again. I should keep or sell them cheap to somebody.

Like Ethereum in which I have already invested.
then why not just put it all in ethereum since you have a good trust about that coin?because other than the five top most coins im not trusting newer..its hard to take risk on other coins because of the happenings now,the correction is targeted the shitcoins that spreading all over the place.look at bounty read were you can find all new tokens to come out but surely after ico will die

For example there is lccx.io (http://lccx.io) - looks like promising exchange based in London.  Well developed white paper, experienced team, located in politically stable jurisdiction.

Ark is good and its actually one of the highest (d)POS ROI out there at around 10-12% (depending on your delegate), so I would definitely suggest that. As far as I know the other dont offer any passive income and in Golem's case they have many technical difficulties to go over if they wish to succeed in their very ambitious task so I would rather not get into it even at current prices. Now since you asked for passive income, I would greatly suggest you get KCS and NEO, both very solid coins, both undervalued(due to market conditions) and both offering passive income without you needing to do anything other than hold them!

But on other coins you can earn much more on pumps, coins like DCR do not give such growth. For example, pay attention to coins TRX or ZIL, so they can make a very good pump.

All the people invested on the bitcoin when the value is 10k and above really worry and selling it because of the panic.
There will big price bump in the future time as well. That time everyone missed to invest will worry and thinking present would be right to go.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on exchanges right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

It could take a while before the rest of the ICO from 2017 to take off again. But he outlook for crypto still a positive one. And regulation will change ICO landscape for good. More mainstream money will flow in, just matter of time.

Holding the Altcoin hold for a long period of time for me is at enormous risk. Buying Altcoin does have to have a very high level of trust, because if not then we could be disappointed with the result. Altcoin is very difficult to predict and much more fluctuating than Bitcoin. If we are lucky then we can get huge profits and if we make the wrong decision then we could have suffered huge losses. So you have to make the right decisions rightly and wisely, you will determine your own future and that is the thing that will determine what you will get. The coin you mentioned in my opinion is less interesting, but if you are sure then you can choose it. I think it's better to buy a coin that already has a good reputation like Etherum and Bitcoincash, it will help you more comfortable because it has a smaller risk because the coin like Etherum already has a good public trust.

Some speculators said that Ethereum will continue to rising, when Bitcoin going to stabilizes. While Bitcoin Cash, a product of fork, has a price that remains above even though in its launch a lot of pessimists with the coin, but it turns out the market still believe in this coin.

The main component of the platform is the register of sensors and data streams. The platform is the first market created for the purchase and sale of data from such sensors.Sensor owners will sell data from their sensors on the platform and will receive 80% of the received amounts, paying a small fee for placing the sensor on the platform!

Those coins that you see in the top 10 cryptocurrencies? Most started as cheap contribution event, where you contribute when the coins are launched and you get an x number of coins at a huge discount, which have great potential to grow. Good examples are Ethereum, Cardano, NEO, etc. They started with an ICO, and people who are benefitting now received ETH, ADA, NEO etc coins at the lowest prices they had ever seen. Think Bitcoin in 2011.
Now, you can participate in the Multiversum token contribution event.

You can find lots of coins. Come back in a year, i'm sure it will break $20. Just do your own research!

There are many good altcoins that can give reasonable profits if held for long. Bitcoin is the best one but it is also the most expensive one. Honestly, if any crypto coin is kept for long duration of time, it will increase the capital anyways. That is why, these are considered to be meant for long term investment because the reward is guaranteed. Neo, Monero, Litecoin, waves, Ethereum all would do the same, and just the profit amount would vary.

NEM and ADA in my opinion is good for holding long term. But if you do not mind, better use the opportunity to buy more ETH now because the price is cheap and the technology is too good for the future. I hope this helps

Try buying in at ico these project. I have done research for it from developer to the project concept.
1. Shivom : the project is build new marketplace and storage for genome and we can sell our genome data to researcher without third party. So your genome data is safe.
2. Essentia : I have tried their platform. And you can exchange in forkdeltha from there. You can create organization with aragon from there and using other dapp only from their platform.
3. Auctus : auctus looked like genesis vision but with additional features and the apps also running in alpha already. The team also have a very good attitude.

Of course my intention is to make good profit but I do not want to invest for that sole purpose.
I would be interested in something in which I get profit by holding and not by selling when it reach a particular price.
I am considering following Altcoins but do not know what benefits they give to their holders.
1.Golem
2.Wings
3.Ark

Of all three, I would choose wings. Coin is good in General, and if you have a wings you can participate in polls and then get coins from other projects. That's great.

There are lot of altcoins available in the market now. In that we have to choose the right one. For me i will choose Ethereum for long term. The price of Ethereum is not good now, but this great chance to buy Ethereum, due to its low price. ETH is the promising and powerful coin after bitcoin. If you buy now and hold it for long term surely in future the price will increase. At that time you can sell and earn more money.

there are two main problems with the question that you are asking in my opinion.

first is the fact that altcoins are not good for long term investment at all. they all go down in long term because with all things said and done there is no usefulness for most of them anyways.

secondly you are picking a terrible time for thinking about investing, and investing long term for that matter! right now we are in a big altcoin bubble and although many are still rising that doesn't change the fact that these are going to pop soon.

I don't agree with you. Why aren't altcoins good long term investment? Many altcoins gave a lot of profit for investors if they bought and held them long time as: Ethereum (increased 70x in 2017); NEO (increased 500x in 2017); Stellar( more 100x).... Although long term investment in altcoin is high risky but We can see that profit is very attractive.
"Altcoin bubble": many people said that the crypto currency market is bubble as Soros but recently he invested in this market. I think the crypto currency market is a new market and great place to investing now.

When looking for a long term investment, I consider Ethereum as the most promising investment. The coin currently has a market capital of $51 billion and in the future has the potential to cross the $1200 mark by the end of 2018. Since its origin in 2016, the coin has shown a growth of 1100% and also has been accepted by big companies like Microsoft, Intel, Jp morgan. Also the coin's idea of smart and ledger contracts which can hold state and arbitary code seems very revolutionary to me. Hence, I expect good returns from the coin.

buying altcoin for the long term is only suitable for application in ethereum. because now this ethereum is still one of the coins that become a nice and big platform in cryptocurrency.

It will, but there are other coins that can give you much more profit than ethereum.

buying altcoin for the long term is only suitable for application in ethereum. because now this ethereum is still one of the coins that become a nice and big platform in cryptocurrency.

Take a look at NEO, if it goes to it's all time high again, you can easily make a 2,5x from it.

The  same from IOTA and EOS.

Great choices of altcoins. If you are still holding these altcoins until now, I am sure your portfolio's value has already ballooned since the time you made this post, well, even if the market has already plunged since we entered the year 2018. I guess it has already grown more than ten times. These are three projects that are highly successful. Not a single coin in the list has below 300 million USD in their market caps.

Buying for long term is a good idea. It will enable you understand the tricks and help you modify your strategies. The long term investors are the only guys who roll in millions upon the advent of boom. When you are a long term investor, you just do not think of the value of your portfolio daily. Even a slow and consistent rise in the value of the coins you hold in long run is a huge gain.

If you are looking for good profit in the future you must first look at the MarketCap and Total number of coins. A coin with large coin supply (billions) can't grow very much in the future, not even 1$.
My choice: Masari.
It's a Monero fork, good relationshionship with Monero, only 18.5 millions total coin supply and it's still early, only 6000 sats on SouthXchange and Tradeogre.
If you count that Masari uses a weighted harmonic mean difficulty adjustment algorithm for smoother difficulty adjustment, which has been PR'd back to Monero you already have a kick-ass coin. It also has only ever used RingCT, has a fixed ring size of 13, and we plan on adding uncle mining and researching block tree sharding.
Many improvements and fork is scheduled for 1 May.

Cheers !

I think, the main focus of any investor is the amount of money he can make through his investment and the time required to achieve some specific target. Masari can’t make someone rich in months. It is a new coin and has a lot of competition. People are giving marinecoin some hype too. My honest suggestion is to not choose any of the new coin because they will make the investor wait for longer than necessary.

I've been holding ethereum because it one of the best bet for long term hold. Ethereum's potential for sure growth has been proven when it price reached past the $1000 late last year. Another one is EOS, one of the most promising altcoins might also higher price before the end of this year. EOS is a blockchain based OS and the technology behind it is seem solid. The price of EOS is already reached $15 and still on uptrend.

That's a pretty good altcoin. But I think CS will be a better choice. Its technology is amazing, the speed of the transaction increased significantly. ETH and Bitcoin were far behind in terms of transaction speed as well as transaction fees. In the future, many people will need the technology of the Credits and that is the time that Credits increase dramatically.

My deffinition about long term is 1-3 years after ico finished and they start developing their platform.
Atlant : will be the major player in tokenize of real estate or properties.
Auctus and genesis vision : financial advisor market place for trading or long term investment for pension fund.
Essentia : simplicity running DAO.
Shivom : will be the biggest genome data market place.
XYO netwok : new concept of consensus  " proof of place " it will be the first seriouse project for it.
Dao Stack : will replace the DAO failed project last year and become major in governance consensus coin.

You can buy EOS, This is  the strong ETH competitor. The price  , of course, is not cheap now, but if you take for long term periode, it doesn't matter - you can buy right now. I think in may it will  be in actively growth. But there is a possibility that the market will fall again, and then the EOS won't be an exception. I believe it won't happen, it seems the whales decided not to dump the market right now)

I have some golem, but I don't think it is a long term coin, I will be keeping it for a couple of months at most.
I don't think Gup, DGB and SC are good choices too..

Bancor is also good but it needs tons of improvement...
I have MAN and CPC for long term, at least 6 months

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found a hidden GEM called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are already trading on some exchanges, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/

Yes, I agree on this idea. Buying and holding for a long time is a popular strategy in the crypto market. What is needed to improve the profitability of growth over time and optimally is to choose a flexible and active time to buy. BTC and ETH are reliable and secure options to hold for long periods of time. Because of the influence and strength of high volatility and profit. You can fully exploit these two options to find the opportunity to change your life and expect to see the moon soon.

Hesitation will make us miss a lot of wonderful things. Don't hesitate to invest as soon as you can. Don't wait for it to go up.
Hesitation can be a big problem when it comes investing but I do not see it as such a big problem because many people do not have that problem, the problem that they have is that they invest too soon, they do not take the time to research a project to know if the project is really worth of their investment, if anything I will prefer that people have more hesitation in this market.

to find a safe if anyone gets a profit from the three coins is better not to waste the opportunity, but if still convinced one day will continue to increase the price is not his fault to hold temporarily until the desired price.
take a profit and buy back when the coins are corrected until the end of the year, all just a matter of time

Of course, my intention is to make the good profit but I do not want to invest for that sole purpose.
I would be interested in something in which I get profit by holding and not by selling when it reaches a particular price.
I am considering following Altcoins but do not know what benefits they give to their holders.
1.Golem

In my opinion, you should invest your money with the coins in the top 10 only. Because for me, before we invest our money, we must know the popularity and quality of the coin in the market. We should be able to analyze whether the coin has good prospects in the future. And in my opinion, the coin you choose does not meet the qualifications at all. You take too much risk. The coin you choose still has great potential to lose because it is shifted by another better coin.

I suggest you choose ETH coin because its value is stable and has good potential to develop.

I agree with the advice you provide, research is important to do before you buy coins. Because your choice will determine the profit or loss of the coins you buy it. You can see from every coin development there. You'll find out what's worth it and buy. What's the point if you buy a coin then hold it in the long run, but from that point, your coin is not progressing at all. It would be better if you have a coin that is in the top rank.

and the reason I'm confident is cause that is backed by Grain…the only asset that has inherent value throughout history..
I’m pretty confident of picking up big bags in their ICO. You can check out AGRI here: blockgrain.io

This is true for almost any coin, if you take the time to look at the previous history of the coins at the top of the market cap you'll see that except for bitcoin and ethereum there is a lot of movement in the rest of the coins, with some coins even disappearing even if they were that high in the market, so if you're already taking a risk it may be a good idea to take a bigger risk to get bigger profits.

Some of people are buying coins which have a huge potential in the future than of today's situation.  It mostly those coins that have a huge market volume but price isn't good as of today.  This is a long time practise already and seems to be effected but we also be needing to closely monitor it's trend to see its market growth.

If you choose the long-term investment, you should buy Bitcoin instead of altcoins. Investing in altcoins is usually just a short-term investment and should invest in top 5 coins instead of your crypto like Golem, Wings, Ark. In conclusion, buy BTC and hold until the end of 2018 will surely make you have the high profit.

I advise you to buy Ethereum coins for you to bear in the long run. Because the best Altcoin currently suitable to be invested in the long-term Ethereum coins. If you buy as many Ethereum coins as you can, I'm sure you will not regret even you will get a profit that is more than what you expect.

I do not think if you include a plan to buy all three coins.
Why do not you buy Bitcoin or Litecoin?
Is not Bitcoin and Litecoin a very good coin?
If I join in recommending the coins you buy.
Both coins are proven quality coins in the Cryptocurrency market.
The coin is able to be a coin that has a high value in a few years.
It's very profitable, is not it?

litecoins isnt dead , although your are right that litecoin may seem to be more silent and dont show any updates lately however that shouldnt be reason to call it dead. you know , most alts do not also have a news but that doesnt mean they were now dead. litecoin is still one of the best few alts out there.  i do also recomend it for longer term of investing or trading along with bitcoins and any other promising coins.

long term is good but short term is also beneficial for extra profit that can support your long term carreer.

Your list of coins is good and you can hold that for long term but always try to choose coins from the top 10 list to become safe and to have good profit. Before investing look into their previous price rise trend and most of the coins are pump and dump group, if you have bought those coins in a lower price then it is okay to hold for a long term. Always put some investment in Bitcoin or Ethereum and split your investments.

why dont you put your money in good ICO and hold it like the way you will do with altcoin? if you get lucky it wil return you more than x100 from ICO price. But all ou have to do is doing deep attention in which ICO you will take to attend. Many scam ICo around, i just invest on XYO and Shivom it worth more benefit for holding the tokens i think. it just my advise, better you have your own research and use your intuition.

Buying for long term usually entails picking long term coins that have less risk of disappearing. Simply put, you need to invest in well-known and trusted coins. I like your picks but I would rather invest in the following:

1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. NEO

purchasing or long-term investment objectives are maximum profit opportunities and lower risk.
The bigger and more frequent changes in investment prices, the higher our chance to raise the value of the investment that we manage.
1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. NEO

Maybe you could buy a Bitcoin, these coins are great for long-term investment. We know Bitcoin is the most major coin of all Altcoin of the most high-priced and always consistent. But if you glance at Altcoin you can buy coins NEO or WAVES, I think both the coin market prices can go up high and when it descends gradually and can ride back down the price.

If someone is buying a bitcoin then it is not easy for him to buy a whole of it at one time but other than that, all the altcoins can be easily bought in one shot. BTC is just a way too expensive. Spending 8k to 10k dollars is not something that most of us can afford. But no altcoin is as good as bitcoin for long term investment especially the mentioned ones. I don’t think they even hold a future.

For long term holding I would prefer ethos, ethereum, bitcoin, neo, cardano, and few other tokens that haven't got listed to the exchanges at present. Most of the assets that I've mentioned here has shown stable growth over the days from its existence. Long term profiting requires the patience, because at specific time interval the value fluctuates in accordance to the market.

What do you think about Blockshipping?
It is still in pre-ICO phase but could be a good long term buy?

The blockchain based GSCP platform is the world's first freight container registry and the first global platform allowing all players in the shipping industry to perform a wide range of transactions related to the handling of containers. The GSCP ICO opens in May.
I took them already for bounty campaign because I want to take as more as possible their tokens. Via bounty and token sale.

Seems like really cool project and they have quite good and experienced team.
Looks promising. But check it for yourself.

Before buying a coin to invest, you should choose a coin that has high quality, do not be careless in choosing a coin so as not to harm yourself and will only lead to loss. And coins that have great potential to keep going up, I think Etherum, Eos, Neo and Monero, are great for investing in the long run, and will not disappoint you.

Ark is really a very good coin. It might reach $7 this year (as I do see it). Besides it, you can deal with OmiseGo, Ontology, Qtum, NEO, VEChain. Naturally, always hold Ethereum and Bitcoin for long.

Those are not really bad choices, but those coins are only for those that are completely convinced that they're willing to hold for the long term, because as you know all of those coins have very high market caps, besides the profits that you're going to get by investing in those coins are not going to be as big as the profits you can get by investing in smaller coins but the advantage is that by investing in those coins you are taking the safest route and it is very unlikely that you are going to lose money if you invest for the long term.

Because it is usually the most widely purchased. So at least I have minimized the losses that I might be able to experience. Besides that, I will also feel calm, because I have invested in coins that are safe and have the potential to grow and give the best results for me. For long term investment, I would suggest bitcoin to be chosen as the top priority. It can bring profit in thousands of dollars with the passage of time. The longer someone hold his BTC the bigger will be his amount of profit. This coin has already produced millionaire. It is expected to touch 30k to 40k dollars by the end of this year. I admire Ethereum and few other altcoins a lot but the truth remains the same. Bitcoin is the best.

Eth is one of the coins that can survive in the long run. For a safety holding better to hold coins within top 20 in terms of market cap so you can easily decide what to hold. I personally wants to hold more btc and eth because this two great coin is sure win in the future.
Coin with a good reputation then has a very good level of trust. This will make more people trying to invest, so the price of the coin can last for a long time. I see that bitcoin and eth are one of the best prospective coins. I also invested heavily in quantities, but I was not worried because I had the comfort and ease of investing. In the crypto world I get the ease and bitcoin and etherum help me run my investment.

1.Golem
2.Wings
3.Ark

I advise you to buy Ethereum coins for you to bear in the long run. Because the best Altcoin currently suitable to be invested in the long-term Ethereum coins. If you buy as many Ethereum coins as you can, I'm sure you will not regret even you will get a profit that is more than what you expect.
Yeah no doubt ethereum will climb as high as $1.5k and we have a great supports from the new ICOs. Although the price is too high as compared to those cheap altcoins but if you will hold in a longer period you will gain much profits.

I chose to invest Bitcoin and Ethereum for me to make my investment, because both are favored many people to be invested, I think the more people make the coin as an investment, the coin will have a high price value, so if for example we investing in bitcoin or ethereum we do not have to worry about it, when both of them are decreasing the price we should stay calm and believe everything will soon recover.

NEO EOS Litecoin and Cardano their growth will be more aggressive this year, as they have been shown to have strong support from the people behind them.
Cryptocurrency doesn't offer a good risk to reward traders but traders can buy it once the price drops from resistance to take a quick profit.
Good choice. I have some doubt about LTC but other coins imho are the one of the best choice for long-term. I don't wait from this many multiplier but solid profit guaranteed

By doing that no only you will almost guarantee to get profits in the long term, it is going to be a lot easier to hold your coins there are many people that buy coins that at first sight do not seem to be really good and as soon as a problem appears and it seems that a coin is crashing people get rid of their coins despite their initial intention of holding for a long term, that is why it is very important to buy a coin that has a real future if you are planning to hold for that long.

If I choose a new coin for long-term investment, because the new coin besides the cheap price also has a chance to raise the price even though it usually takes a long time, we just have to be patient and certainly someday the coin will surely increase little by little.
That's is considerable also, but not all cheap coins goes far in a year cause it only depend on its devs. If devs have continuously helping it to grow and it's presence are still there, it have a huge chances that it will pump.

If you are thinking of investing for the long term then anything that is at the top of the market is a good choice, if you want to run the lesser amount of risk it is a very good option to buy all the coins that are at the top, that way if one of the coins happens to disappear for some reason you will not lose all your money because you did not put all your eggs in one basket.

Like Ethereum in which I have already invested.

So if you need something useful like ethereum choose something with similar technology, people wrote about the waves, but the price and future of this coin is questionable. The best option will be Neo in this situaction. Technology is very promising and going to be good like ethereum so you should check this

Yeah,  we cant deny bitcoin capabilities but looking for another opportunity to gain more profits,  getting invested into some potential alts is good. We know in crypto isn't smart idea to only choose one coins and putting all the money inside. Having those alts it surely there's a huge chances of gaining even it won't took so long of holding them.

Since it is bearish period, I'd rather buy Ethereum together with Rippl, Tron and Sonm. I like those coins being stable inspite of the Ethereum with a bit higher price now. I would wait this season if its gonna drop down to $500-$400. I have this mindset that no matter how long once I have those coins, I'm ready to hold them till I reach my target price.

I'd also stick with the largest coins if I had to invest some $ right now. It is adviseable to split your $ into ~10 chunks and invest 7 o them into Top10 Coins and the rest into smaller ones where you are convinced of their story. Of course, nobody knows how the market will develop in the future...

The market is falling now, so I think there are a lot of decent altcoins to buy and hold for the long term. Bitcoin still has great potential to rise in the future, so at least you can buy ethereum and some other altcoins now. If later the bitcoin price increases again, then altcoins will pump too.

your word is true, the market is currently down, and there is also a decent altcoin to buy, because most altcoin prices are also currently still down, so our chance to buy and save it for the long term, because the opportunity did not come 2 times .

in any case, if the project has already released its existing product, then their coins are much more profitable for investments. Moreover, due to the fact that the crypto-currency market is developing very much, it requires a sufficient number of trading platforms to satisfy all the needs of crypto-currency users. Thus coins of trading platforms are also good investments.

when you buy altcoins for the long term you should be able to buy altcoins that have very good concept and development projects and are very useful for many people, maybe for easier you can buy and save in the long term by buying coins in the top 10 coinmarketcap.

When I started my crypto journey I had no idea about market history I though that almost each coin is good for a long term because it will rise, now I consider BTC to be the best option, the father, the origin, the asset that had lost less then others in value.

Of course, if you take into account the price of Bitcoin in 2016, when it was 500 dollars, today even 4000 dollars for Bitcoin look quite attractive. But it is a pity for those users of cryptocurrency who made their investments in Bitcoin at the end of 2017. For them, the current state of affairs in the cryptocurrency market is equivalent to a collapse.

Buy Bitcoin can be considered as a long-term investment for more than 5 years, in turn, there is no guarantee that they will not depreciate or will not disappear from the market at all
The coins which OP mentioned are the good coins I think he have to put his money in any of them or in all of them in parts. If he is willing to keep his money for a longer time then he will definitely get a profit which will worth much more than the time he give to his investment.

isn't there already a lot of altcoins on the market that provide many long-term benefits. You can see the history of the development of the coin. You can see the trades that occur in the market, and you can make predictions for the long-term or short-term coins you choose.

for the potential decline I think it's the same, all altcoins have the same risk of decreasing the value. but ethereum has a large market and community support, making ethereum possible easier and faster in market recovery.

If this coin will recover, good decision that you buy now.
I heard this coin in the past as it pump big time, as I checked now, it's ATH was over 1k sats while current price is only 51 sats.
Price that you gotten it is a steal, it's a good value as even if it will just recovered 100%, you are gonna enjoy that good profit already.

Also, consider the current market situation now, we are in bullish trend, so if the bull run will once again make this market go crazy,
you will see what will happen, and you should be excited when that time comes.

Not unless this project already been forgotten as there's already a lots of new once that can compete with those old projects around, if you are lucky and what had been promised will be accomplished then current value will be a good zone to accumulate, imagine how much growth it can bring to your investment if this will reach the last time high, but always never to forget to have a good set back plans or also buy some additional alts.

Seriously, I guess not. Ethereum like other altcoin too, its price will fall drastically if there is comes a crash. Look at the ATH in 2017, $1400 is the ATH at that time and its price fall below $150 when the crash came. So, it's same with other altcoin because the investor of cryptocurrency has the same perspective when decide to buy, sell and hold.

yes of course, ethereum is not a stable coin like USDT which may be a more stable market movement with a slight increase and a slight decline. ethereum is crypto potential which can go up and also experience market correction. we still have to follow the movement and development of the etheruem market if we want to invest in these assets for the long term. because the moment of decline can occur at any time.

Yes, anything can happen in the market due to a huge fluctuation in 2018, makes the altcoin prices to decrease their value in the market. Which at one case we have seen the price of ETH has fallen below the price to 90$. So we might see an even higher trend in the current situation in the coming days.

I will invest personally on BTC, LTC, ETH, and ripple for the pure speculation because even if I do not like, XRP goes pump ..

I am also a fan of old POW altcoins, with a fair launch of the type: Vertcoin, Digibyte, Dogecoin, Groestltcoin and Ravencoin but Ravencoin is an excellent project but more recent ..

And after I will invest only on lowcap for the medium / long term. By accumulating discretely..And in this category, the altcoins lowcap below (really lowcap), are for me the most interesting.

- GRIN
- BEAM
- NYZO
- INS
- SNOWBLOSSOM
- AMOVEO
- BITTUBE

Long-term investment is different from daily trading. if you want to invest long term, it is not affected by price and price movements that occur in the market. because the plan is made for the long term which most likely we do not know the results like what.

investing for the long term is the right choice and very good because you believe in the future of cryptocurrency
by choosing coins that have good potential for future growth and profits that will reduce the risk of losing our money
and we only need to hold it until really the coin increases much higher than when it bought it
I think if you want to get real benefits for existing technology, it is better to analyze the coins that you will choose to invest more deeply

Buying bitcoin for long-term investment is of course a good choice, given the rapid price changes. It is better to wait for a long time with high price certainty, rather than short-term investments but prices fluctuate so that they cannot be executed properly.
Long-term investment is more flexible in analyzing price increases and choosing coins that are predicted to increase rapidly, so that profits can be maximized. The problem only requires greater and healthier capital.

all investments must have risks. especially with crypto assets. whether it's from the project, or the market that might bring risk. even though you have good assets, but if you keep it in a not-so-good exchange and it can be hacked and you can lose your assets.

let me talk about my point before giving the good altcoins. In the crypto market, long-term buying and holding is something very wrong. At the present time, bitcoins and altcoins compete each other day by day and we cannot help but take this opportunity to earn higher profits than holding.
Besides, when altcoins are listed on exchanges, they often use investors 'money for other purposes and sometimes lose investors' money.
Therefore, holding in the long term is not the best choice. And if you don't like daily trading, you can buy BTC or ETH. Stable profits and no risks. ;)

all investments must have risks. especially with crypto assets. whether it's from the project, or the market that might bring risk. even though you have good assets, but if you keep it in a not-so-good exchange and it can be hacked and you can lose your assets.

Investment is always risky, especially crypto is like a roller coaster, but investing in top ranked coins such as bitcoin, Ripple, EOS and so on is certainly safer for long-term hold.
Investing in top ranking coins will definitely be safe for long-term holdings but it is not a perfect solution because we are talking about a future that is too far and too long, unexpected deaths and sudden changes can still happen when we hold for such a time. So what is best is that we should work and participate in crypto like a rollercoaster, buy fast when the price is low and hold for a certain period of time then sell when the price increases, then continue using this process, profit is good and safer than buying and holding long term

you are right, holding assets in the long run is very risky, because we will never really know what will happen in that very long time. it will be more profitable and safer as the way you mentioned. but on condition that we should not feel disappointed if higher growth occurs. because most people regret having sold their assets at a low price but have already gotten a profit and then the rising price is more expensive. I think we often experience it.

I think the golem and wings are the best choice, of the three coins you offer, because those 2 coins have been traded on various exchangers

I have always been a fan of buying for a long term. Although you need to have a lot of patience to do that. I am of the believe that those who do long term holding of cryptocurrenccies hardly lose. Because at a point, there assets get devalued, but it will still circle back to being highly valuable. Eos and quackchain are a great investment point. They have great potentials to shoot up. Just my opinion.

for ethereum you don't need to doubt it. now look for EOS and BNB. I now focus on the coin. and stellar may also be feasible for us to add to our investment assets in the long run.

in my opinion coin investment for long-term ,ethereum and litcoin because both coins are liked by traders, have a large volume so it is not difficult to pump

Yes, especially cryptocurrencies. However, Bitcoin is not so risky. We all know that with time, BTC will be going up and more and more Bitcoins will be mined, and fewer will be rest. Invest in this crypto for a long time.

both of these coins are now investors' glances, because prices that have not experienced significant increases but have the potential to grow very high. so choosing the coin can be for the long term and make a profit.

investing in bitcoin requires big capital. and putting bitcoin in a long time is sure to make us panic if we continue to see the market because we can see bitcoin moving up and down. This asset is indeed suitable for long-term investment, but still look at the market with solid planning.

I think litecoin has been on a high increase yesterday, don't you see the increase in the market? maybe you were left behind in the party yesterday.
it makes litecoin sought by many people now, but ethereum rises slower but has a good trend and I think ethereum prices still look stronger. for the long term I think both of these coins are still very worthy for us to have.

Always for me it is best option to have 50% BTC&ETH, 50% Alts, some coins I hold now and why:

Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the single largest and most recognized cryptocurrency in existence.

Stellar Lumens
Stellar Lumens is a similar technology to Ripple, however, instead of focusing solely on the banks they have built a system to integrate merchants, banks and the general population.

Historia
A novel idea. To keep current happenings on the blockchain. To ensure that in the future third parties politicians and etc wouldn’t twist facts based on their needs.

Monero (XMR) — privacy enabled by default. There will always be a demand for an anonymous channel for commerce.

Till now I still mining Moner, Monero is a good and worthy coin to buy, I also always buy since 2016, hopefully with the improvement of the market today can make Monero skyrocket again.

try to hold your monero until the middle of next year, I think the market will increase at the end of this year until the middle of next year. I hope the right market will be at a new peak.

Have you checked the Pundi X project? Their goal is to let people buy cryptocurrencies easier and anywhere, just like buying bottled water.
And this is made possible with their XPOS. Know more about them by visiting their website pundix.com

ethereum for long-term stays but there are a number of other potential coins that you can see in coinmarketcap price lists such as litecoin, neo, cardano and ripple. some of the coins predicted by experts can soar and that will happen but just wait for the right time.

Yeah right, long term goals probably you can choose among those many projects that have good progress, you need to work well with your decision making and make a deep research and find coins that will fits for your long term goals.

Ethereum is a coin that is always promising, hundreds of tokens that use ethereum certainly make the use of ethereum high so I'm sure holding for the long term is the right thing.

For long term, i think Ethereum and Litecoin and Nano can give a good profit on long term if team develop them and if community and investors continue support the coins.

I think all assets must also be like that, get support from the community and keep on developing the platform it will be suitable for investment or trade. but we don't just do that to choose assets that are suitable for our investment. we must also consider the progress of market demand where BNB and EOS also appear to have good market growth.

mostly tokens you are pointing at but would it not be a safer choice to pick mineable coins like ltc eth from the top 10 for the long run since there is a miner support.

Except for BTC, ETH, Ripple, LTC, all the altcoins that went up during the last bullrun will not do extraordinary performances.

People really want the 2016/2017 altcoins to make big returns again but that will not be the case. It's just a hope of recovering the gains you've lost. Stop telling yourself stories and go looking for new projects. We have to start from scratch, and work hard to find the best promises. And we must also take risks to dare to invest now in these projects.

Cryptopia no longer exists, Bittrex and poloniex are no longer the big exchanges they have been. Everything changes very quickly in crypto. Look at the top 100 in 2013 and the top 100 in 2017. The new incubator deals are tradeogre, Qtrade. We have to change, to question ourselves. You still have time, so do not waste it hoping in the wind ...

If I currently suggest buying ETH. However, ETH is a long term coin such as BTC. In the next few months it will be a high ETH price opportunity. It is marked in the last month the price in the market improves.

ETH has a strong community such as bitcoin, the hodler never felt a doubt to believe that the ETH price will goes up again when its price goes down. You may see when its price went down to $150 and more lower then that last year, but the community has a believe to change price again and make a confident that the ETH will increase again. And it has showed by them, ETH prices come back to up again and maybe never fall to $150 and lower then that again.

1.Golem
2.Wings
3.Ark

Everything is important for an investment because we don't have the proper way to guide by everyone so we need to work hard for the proper investment otherwise our profit also been affected by the poor thoughts by us so if anyone wants to invest his money in your property investment then he will definitely need to follow something like how you can put your topic

Yes, as long as if you gather more ETH it will really help you in the long term because we already how potential ETH is going and we are seeing many negative comments about the ETH from the people because of huge downfall. So we should wait for the turn until the price of ETH starts increasing in the market.

end of this year, be patient until the end of this year, because I have the belief ethereum will experience growth for the end of this year. I also store some ethereum in my wallet, because I'm sure there will be greater growth in the future.

not all investments in your view are profits. remember the ability to analyze and make the right plan for your investment determine whether later you will profit or lose. not just choosing the right assets, calculating time and market conditions for the long term is very difficult to predict.
