I want to buy few Altcoins which have some strong good concept and which are beneficial for the crypto world somehow.

you are right, holding assets in the long run is very risky, because we will never really know what will happen in that very long time. it will be more profitable and safer as the way you mentioned. but on condition that we should not feel disappointed if higher growth occurs. because most people regret having sold their assets at a low price but have already gotten a profit and then the rising price is more expensive.
