Lots of good ones.

ETH, PIVX, LTC, POSW, NEM, and BAY are all great projects with huge potential.

Check the ones that give free tokens by signing message from bitcoin holding address.
There's byteball, stellar and bitcore

There are some good ICO coming up, Aragon, Patientory, SONM, TEZO and Mysterieum

Waves, Lisk and Ark.

I think the coin that is suitable for investment is Dash, Eth, and LTC, Because the coins I think will have a much better future And besides having a good future the ETH, LTC, and DASH prices are quite high.

The problem is that even if you invest in the best altcoin, its success depends on not just how good it is but an element of luck, therefore diversification is the best strategy. Invest in a wide array of tokens or invest in funds that do just that like Iconomi, then you will ride all the waves up and have much less risk of individual failure.

I think it is better to invest in a portfolio of good coins and tokens. I am aiming to long term hold between 1-20 good ones so that will be my pension plan as I don't have a job or pension.. My 2 so far big holds are JANUS and INSN and am trying to collect Stratis as well and I also am collecting CREDITBIT..I am hoping to buy in MobileGo as well, that looks to be a good ICO at the moment.

In my opinion for the best altcoins to invest is the ethereum or football coins even they are starting they shown that their value in the market were fluctuating. I think it's not hard to those altcoins to become famous.

i've seen a couple of mentions of these football coins recently. what the hell are they? something to do with teams? if that's the case that's even sillier than the country coin phase.

Those are very established coins and are good steady investments but if you want huge gains in the range of earning 5 to 10 times what you invested then it is better for you to look at ICOs and stuff like that.

#ETH looks good for me as well. You can also check out poleinix and Ltc for better results. However ether is top most for myself. Other coins are like hog in cog and really don't promise the profit. Ether is working simultaneously with bitcoin value and stands out amongst other coins that is what I like most in it. Also the progress is very slow for getting profits but it is for sure.

Lbry, zcash ETH spreadcoin for the swap with HLM, pivx is good but i don't like pure pos coin, if they have no pow i just look at something else, any other coins is still godo if you know what you are doing and can catch the pump correctly, but if i was you i woudl invest 10% max in various altcoin on these risky one

Safe list of investment - LTC / ETH / XRP / FCT / MAID / DASH / ZCASH / XMR
May be a good investment - NEM / GNT / REP / STRAT / SIA / SJCX / DOGE

Well, that's all my choice, because I prefer to use ETH and WAVES in investing, because both coins are highly qualified and there are a lot of big investors in it and I'm sure ETH and WAVE will be even better for the future.

I think you should invest your money in litecoin because there are many people believe that it will become the silver of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is gold and litecoin is silver. People can use silver to do a lot of think, not like gold

The best altcoin you can see in coinmarketcap. Invest in Top 10 or Top 5 altcoin there and wait years or months before you sell your altcoin, but be sure that if you sell it at high price but if the price is the same just hold it and wait to pump.

I agree the footballcoin one does look interesting just because so many people love the game. the success will depend on the implementation but I think they seem to have a good idea of how to go about it.

You can trade your player through the football market using football coin to buy or sell your player or joining the tournament.

If you have a big investment in or a big amount of money you can invest in altcoins that have a big potentials like ethereum, zcash, litecoin, monero but if you just have a small investment in your wallet i would suggest to buy a altcoins like str,xrp,btm,bcn they are just low coins value in the market so you can buy a lot of them and in long term investment they are great.

Aragon is the best altcoin at the moment, it had a record successful ICO with huge support from Iconomi and Boost VC, price is already pumping on bittrex with listings on kraken and poloniex likely to follow.

why does the price of an individual unit matter? it's the overall valuation that counts. you want a low one with the potential to go crazy.

Even at low market cap the reasoning is way off the mark. Low market cap coins can make weird jumps, sure, but they're also more likely to be manipulated by someone who wants your money.  You may invest in some trash coin, see it go through the roof and then find out that you will never be able to liquidate those coins because there never was any liquidity to begin with.  

Not to mention that large market cap coins have proven to be capable of equally large movements. All cryptocurrency is penny stock. It's small time compared to other commodities. 

Read some Warren Buffett before you start investing. This isn't about reading projection lines, this is about technology. If you want to truly invest and not be a horse race gambler then research the fundamentals of each coin. Understand what the coin brings to the table, who the developers are, how it got initiated (was there any instamine or premine, or ICO or did the coin disperse organically?), also check on the inflation rate of the coin. For example, many Dogecoin enthushiasts got burned when they saw their coin shoot up while 80% of the coins were yet to be mined in that year alone. Brutal.  

Easy one, WBB which is soon to be rebranded DLS. They don't pump, they don't hype, they develop with their own money, limited supply, real world uses (not BS like many coins).

Dogecoin has and will be probably continue to be used for online tipping, and buying inexpensive swag like patches, pins and stickers. It's also used as an exchange currency between exchanges; ex. Exchange B doesn't have altcoin1 listed that you want to buy and Exchange A doesn't have altcoin2 that you want to sell. So you exchange your altcoin2 on Exchange B for DOGE and send it over to Exchange A where you sell it and buy altcoin1. Most often you can still make a profit cause exchange fees for dogecoin are so low... But I foresee DGB taking over this roll in the near future as I've noticed it has even lower withdraw/exchange fees.

What I think DOGE could also be really good for in the near future is as the currency to use in apps and games micropayments.

As for coins I think will be good to invest in in the near and long-term are Litecoin, Eth, Golem, and Stratis.

I must agree with you, fudbal is very popular sport and every kind involvement in this can be profitable. I'm only not sure if on they support real bets or simulations - fantasy? And as i understood this is still in phase of collecting funds righ, and tokens are not on exchanges?

I got some dogecoin and keeping it from a long time but don't know whether this coin really got any feature or not. Even if it goes to 0.1 USD then I will make a quite good profit.

What about Litecoin (LTC)? It has been one of the oldest altcoins and previously, it was the no.2 crypto-currency in terms of market cap. There are still a lot of people who use LTC, and the transaction fee is a fraction of that when using BTC.

I think we cannot say only altcoin to be the best for all the times. Maybe LTC was good once and it may still be good, but i will prefer XRP over LTC. Currently XRP is the No. 2 coins and the highest trading Coin at poloniex.

At first it depends what kind of investor you are. If you you want to invest for long term then alts like monero, ltc and maybe eth have the potential to grow up. But if you are a short term one then you ask some other kind somehow better than you gamble. Currently, stratis even though seven - fold its value from early April can climb a bit more.

Right now it is ETH and XRP. Lots of upside going for both of them. Updates and work still being done. Both have positive direction due to the plan the devs laid out. Both should be worth a lot in a few years.

At this moment when almost any coin seems to go up, then investing in any major altcoin seems like a good business at the moment since the rally not only has affected bitcoin it has affected all the crypto currencies so invest in Litecoin, Monero, Ripple.

To me its reallyvhard in determining the right alt to invest in because of the attitude of developers these days they are mostly interested in what they can earn quickly rather than the project and that makes the coin that have potentials today might turn to junk the next week simply because the developer got greedy at some point and nothing else.

Nobody can tell you which altcoins are the best. You should explore them all (read roadmaps, slack, twitter, this forum, etc) and make your own conclusion about each coin. Then check what is happening on the market right now. Then the picture should be clear.

Just invest in a bunch. This is an exciting time in finance where regular people like us can make  significant amounts of money because we have the balls all the outsiders don't have.

Some people say Litecoin and NEM as well.

i have been try investing some bitcoin in hmq yesterday and it is great, i got some enough profit, they said that hmq is good for long term trading and investment, when it dump , i will buy some and let it in my trading site, i can wait it till i got some money, i will believe them that hmq will stay longer, due to many investors right there.

Ripple went too high already, i think loses its velocity.

And all those facts cannot tell you if you don't investigate trends (market can be manipulated), what looks to be good investment in function of trends. Trends are changing, and it is harder to control them.

Has anybody ever heard of diversification? It seems everybody is in love with 1 particular coin which is a mistake.

It depends on situation, if one coin is favored by the crowd then investing in it is justified, perfect example is BTC you can feel it in the air, everything smell on success. But it is not vise to invest only in one coin so diversity is always better way, and more secure.

i think it is good to take  advice from the people, but i think it is the moral duty of every person to give a honest advice, although you have to take your own decision but still you need to study the market and the trend of the people also that where is the people attraction where they want to invest in altcoin.

Right, the final decision depends on each person, we can choose to trust the advice or not trust. We want to invest in something, first we need to have information about that then look for comments and predictions about that in the future. And all is predictable, it can be true or false, we can not be blamed on anyone when we believe in the predictions. This is a true battlefield, losers will lose a lot of money and if someone advise we to invest something, I think we should be careful looking for information before believing it

Check-out MONA (Monacoin). It's the Japanese crypto-currency, lauched about 3 years ago, and it is likely to have a bright future with the rise of altcoins.

i think it is different from person to person. i think different people have different choice, to me i think i will like to invest in Ethereum, although the price of etherem s already trading so high but still there is good potential in the price of Ethereum to increase more and more.

If for this month I think altcoin that is suitable for investment is EDG (Edgeless), EDG movement is very good, and now Edg has a very good price.

The reason monero forked is because bytecoin has an 80 per cent premine.  Monero is the version that won't rape you.

If you see on many exchanges, ten top coin will be the same. Many of them are worth it to invest in short term or long term investment. But the best altcoin to invest and have the real future is Ethereum. No one will doubt it, Ethereum is the best cryptocurrency after bitcoin. Imho

i would say the second highest market capital which today ethereum, if tomorrow different coin holds second highest market capital then that coin would be best altcoin to invest. or maybe mne, self mining token, happy investing.

For me the best alt coin to invest will always be ETH. It's keep on pumping and many are already are keep on investing. And there are attractive with its smart contract so for me it will be the best alt coin to invest. This is going to be next always to bitcoin and just look on its market cap, its #2.

yes i agree, the second highest right now is eth, but you may decide on what alt coin you will go, you need to research for it and find which coin will be suited for what you want. but for me i suggest, you will go toeth and hmq, it has both good value in the market now, eth is good for long term trading and hmq is good for a short term trading.

Been holding my verge since last year now made me good profit sold some but still holding half. Also one good coin for me is Xem(Nem). Will be holding it till it goes $2 by next year hopefully.

Picking some alt to invest is how hard call to make. Most alts follow bitcoin in price and is hard to pick good one maybe, with some new realizes from some coin or some ICO offering can be good, but here you must be careful in what you will pick your money to invest.

Also there might be some coin that are just to go up, simple is to monitor major exchanges with market cap on particular coin and if it comes to be good one you are winner.

Yes I also argue with the same thing, Dash, eth, and ltc are very promising.
In fact now the eth value can compete with btc so that one of the coins mentioned can prove it.
Gradually dash and tlc will surely follow to achieve the same value can even exceed that value.

Yeah this is a good option to search the market cap on the major exchanges. Sometimes people makes decisions in a hurry with just looking and the price and don't bother to go thought a thorough research of the coins background which involves the market cap etc.
The high rice of any Alt really mean that it is progressive will be doing well in future. There are many other things need to be studied along with the price of the alts and then make a decision to invest in or not.

I think you should also include XRP in the list. XRP is the most potential cryptocurrency in the near future. It s up 2018 while banks operate their foreign trade exchange.  xrp is now on par with btc for real . Soon bitfinex will add Ripple making it more strong than ever.

Correct, when we think about the silver analogy you will notice it fits perfectly, LTC has lower value than bitcoin but it got faster confirmations this is critical if we hope to use LTC as a currency, for bitcoin the issue of the speed of confirmation is not as critical because we are going to treat as gold.

Did you not see the latest problem of ripple today?, According from the latest chart of ripple and more users on the ripple is trying to leave the ripple environment. it caused by the major problem or ripple.

I have just been checking INSN price and it's getting ready for a big rise as it will be added to a bigger exchange and you only need 50k of it to run a masternode and there are only just over 18 million coin supply, so this makes it way undervalued. I picked up a few more k very cheap yesterday.

XEM(NEM) will definitely reach that 2$ mark by the end of this year or early next year. Holding them from some months and hope they will make me some profit. I thought Doge could move ahead but looks like its stuck in the dump and not raising more.

LISK. Rebranding coming in August, followed by the release of SDK in Q4 which will enable Decentalized Application development.

Similar to how Ethereum has all these ICOs pushing its price up, LISK will have consistent releases of DAPPs increasing the demand of the token. Also the barrier to entry to build applications is very low since the language it uses is javascript!

You think that LISK will be good pick for upcoming investment, one the 5 pick for summer, that one of the alt that didt go up that much when BTC price went up. This may be good pick but some aim for DASH and old LTC. Maybe in this story is MONERO to but i will wait for it little bit before investment.

For me the best altcoins to invest in are Xem, XRP, ETH, Stratis, and Wave. I beleive these altcoins will still on top and traders will hold and will buy more. It has a good future indeed and good to invest with.

yes that is right Etherium and Monero can really give you good profit, but you need to invest a good amount of  your assets for a long time, because the price of Etherium is already trading high although there are more chances that its price will increase but still if you are going for long term then you are minimize the risk of losing money and increasing your assets.

That is an interesting picture, I have not hear of Basic Attention Token the fact that is so young and it has a bigger market cap than all the cryptos in the picture put together tells me that either the coin is overvalued or the coin is going to go very high.

Every altcoin has opportunity become the best coin but of course, depend on their supply and demand. But for me, I suggest monero ( xmr ) and ripple ( xrp ) is the best coin to invest. The price has attractive moving with significant number and volume. Try with long time period to see opportunity to make profit, don't try become day trader. The best coins to invest are many but you need to invest in that coin which gave the profit as soon as much possible .
Here I will suggest you for the buy dgb coin ( digibyte), Sc ( Sia coin ) , Etc coin , pivx , BSD coin available bitrex and cryptopia .
These coins are much profitable in my opinion because the owners and team work for such altcoins are much active and doing always new new things and improvements and also making good communication between the users .

Waves is a good investment, along with Ethereum and bitcoin and dash. I have a small amount on HMQ and LBC and XVG (Verge) as a long shot. I am hoping people see the potential in verge and invest, I think it can be a HUGE coin one day, backed by a great team and has a strong following so far.

What is important to remember is that basically anyone holding a crypto in 2017 will be much better off than the 99% of the population that don't have a clue what one even is.

If you diversify enough the moon will come for one of them.

In my opinion, the XAS coins are heavily undervalued since it has a bright future just like LISK, which is pumping a lot.

The fastest way is the slowest one, all of those that pursue such earnings are going to be burned by it, while those that invest in the long run and are willing to take a loss here and there are going to be the ones that truly reaps the benefits of the revolution brought by crypto currencies.

i personally like to invest in Tor where i have already some Coins but still want to invest more, because Tor has more potential and currently the price is trading a little low. so investing here in Tor right now will be more profitable. because the it is expected that the price of Tor can go high in next few months.

Definitely LTC as one of best coins, very secure network relatively fast transactions in comparison with BTC, trusted old coin with many supporters around the world. Now we need only lightning network and we will see LTC as second coin again. This is not based on my wishes, this is fact whic will be used for another hype.

Sure thing. This will be probably best investment in some alt in very long time if we dont count any ICO. LTC has very good potential for price over 50 and perhaps this magic figure for him of 100$ per one LTC. This is quite possible if everything goes well then it might be sky high for litecoin after very long time. With so many supported and very good volume at the moment it can be possible for lite to best possibly best investment this year.

For now or this day the best altcoin for me to invest is the antshares as if you visit some exchangers today antshares is on the top volume meaning there are so many people investing on it. so better to invest in antshares for now you can gain some profits there.
