Golden State Warriors acquisition of Durant is going to make the difference this time around, then am a Cavaliers fan, i don't believe they are going to emerge victorious this time around. Hoping for a miracle though.

Lebron is getting too old. If he can't win this time round then there might not be another time we'll see king james win another win :(

I'm a cavs fan too but i feel like GSW has a lot more firepower in their lineup.

Hopefully the series can at least last for 6-7 games though like last year's entertaining comeback. I don't want to waste my money and time to buy NBA passes just to watch the Finals as if it's a preseason game.

Yea both of them have their superstars but as i saw curry for this season he's not HUGE again since durrant on his team, at first i have hope for spurs go to the final. i will support cavs again this year although the bigger chance of win will taken by golden state warrior but we won't know the result before the game is over.

I am also hoping that the Finals would turn out to be more exciting than the previous series where these two teams had been hardly tested. Lebron, not being included in the final list of MVP candidates, could add an extra motivation for him to prove that he is still the best player around the league, and the ultimate price would always be the Larry O'Brien trophy. But the odds are against him and his group as the oddsmakers put the Warriors as the heavy favorites, obviously because of Kevin Durant and a fresher version of the Steph, Klay, and Draymond.

Regardless of the winner, it has to be competitive, right? The semi's were horrifying and even boston's 1 one wasn't one with exceptional performance but the Cavs being cold.. Anyway now is the real game.. I see GSW winning in 6 games.

It's amazing how some teams after 5, 6 years still never get into the playoffs even if they get a few high draft picks and others like Cavs and Warriors just keep prosperous and damn, 3 finals appearances consecutively for both teams. Not even saying what the result is right now but it's going to be a heck of a series. I personally think that the biggest player in the series is going to be Kyrie as he is just awesome to watch down the stretch, ball is always in his hands. If he can make these clutch shots then cavs have a big chance of winning this year.

Both have visually annihilated there own conference but i think GSW still had the toughest time if only kawhi was not injured. But nonetheless statistically warriors have the most experienced player and even there 6th man played alongside iverson. Both teams have had players who bounced from team to team. But still my bet is on the cavs.

Thats a really big problem once Lebron would be out of the game because of an injury hope he would not because im a big cavs fan since in the past.Thinking of on the new line up of GSW i can say that Cavs would really have a tough game here for sure once they would meet at the finals. I don't think GSW can stop LBJ from getting points in the paint, GSW don't have a good center that will stop him, all of them will be in foul trouble trying to stop LBJ. I think it is a mistake sacrificing their center just to get durant

Well, let just watch what will be the outcome in game 1, there is  big reason why the warriors are the heavy favorites, I don't bet based on my emotion but based on the statistics and I don't find the statistics favors the cavaliers at this time.

There is a very high chance that Warriors will the Cavaliers this time. Warriors with Durant swept all the teams on the way to the finals. Warriors were already strong last year when they were leading 3-1 up.
It was because of injuries that caused the Warriors to lose in their latter games. Durant was signed by the Warriors to booster their squad for the playoff.

I too think it will be GSW, They are the best team now worldwide and although Cleveland is good, They have weaknesses against the offense of GSW shooting everything either from 3 if you try to guard close or layups and dunks.. it won't be a sweep or close to it but IMO GSW will win 4-3 or 4-2

But I always believe that basketball is a game of match ups and adjustments. The team that can make the proper adjustments in-game and can capitalize on match ups is going to take home the championship. With a healthy Kevin Durant playing for the Warriors, it would have to be a total team effort on the part of the Cavs to make Durant earn his every point. Not to mention that Steph is always there and Klay can heat up any moment. The odds are definitely against the Cavs, but Lebron is Lebron, and he looks to be even more determined in chasing Michael Jordan for the GOAT.

i've been on the warriors to win ever since they blew out the clippers by ~50 a couple months ago. i thought that nba teams couldn't do that especially vs a playoff team. then the cavs did it recently vs celtics, and now i'm unsure who will win.

It will be fascinating to see how this finals pan out. Golden State With Kevin Durant are the obvious favourites, but my money is on the Cavs. Never say never with Lebron in the Cavs team. Long shot I know, but after what happened last year, I think Cleveland can win at least 2 games. I'll be backing them @ 3.8 for game one, which I think represents good value. Let's not forget the warriors almost lost game one against the spurs, and they got lucky with the injury to a key spurs player.

I will not say Lebron James is getting too old he is still the most important member of the Cavaliers team, If the Cavaliers had Durant in their lineup, that is going to change the entire outcome of the game. Age is irrelevant when it comes to Lebron James.

Golden state is a different team now unlike before. They can shoot well now from the perimeter or 3 points and everyone in the GSW lineup is capable of shooting 3's. Now with durant arrival from the team, They are much more confident on shooting the ball from the outside. The GSW will punish the defense on scoring in the paint or scoring in the outside and if their perimeter shooting in not doing well. There is Green and the other GSW will be attacking the paint and score or if they found a open team mate they just pass the ball and as a result it's either a shot made or not. On the other side, Kevin love is slowly back in his form in the playoffs. He is shooting the ball well on the outside and inside. James is a monster in a game, He always involved his team mates to gain some confidence and we all know that james can get a triple-double in a game. Kyrie is playing well too in the playoffs where he demolish the defense by going hard to the basket. Overall, We can see a classic match up from the three consecutive NBA Finalist. May the strongest team win. I will root for the GSW 4-2.

Good write up mate, clearly the warriors are the heavy favorites here because we believe they can easily beat the cavaliers. We also think that way in the last NBA Finals and we think the warriors can make a repeat or even sweep the cavaliers but the outcome was different, it ended with a thrilling game where the cavaliers won in a dramatic passion.

I'm really super excited to see Game 1. I agree with everyone saying that Durant will be key difference this year with Golden State. We all know how good Durant is, but this is his first NBA Champion so we don't know if he is going to choke or to rise on the occasion. The series of NBA finals was finally start at this day and finally GSW won the game. I'm fan of GSW because of the new force curry, thompson, iguodala, green added by durant that's  I'm not disappointed what happened in game 1. Last year, CAVs made the biggest comeback in NBA Finals History being able to win the Championship with a (GSW)3-1(CAVS) start. But having Durant in GSW is a big addition. Hoping for a 7 game series again.

The Cavs bench must step up for them to have a chance here. You can't win four games in the Finals if your bench doesn't produce. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson still is struggling but the firepower of Durant and Curry proved enough to hand the Cavs their second loss of the post season while the Warriors themselves continue to remain unbeaten.

It's possible that it will go up to 7 game for this series. Since many have been waiting for this game, I don't know if it's up to the team or to the manage of the league if they will allow or let them go up to 7 games. Yeah cleveland will surely beat the odds soon and most of the fans were very excited with future finals games. To make an analysis on cleveland, they will not make it so hard for the opponent to be struggle so hard for the defence, because I believe that the team will have good shots favor with long ranges, and below ring is not always an option.

I think he did very solid in Game 1. I was quite surprise to see him guarding Lebron James and he really makes its hard for Lebron to score. He defended every possession and there is one particular instance were he challenged Lebron all the way to the basket making James missed a lay up. He is the main difference for Golden State now and their chances of going 2-0 is really looking good. Its kinda exciting to see Game 1 but got a little boring because of the blow out win. Good win for Golden State.

This year's playoff are boring. Last year GS and Cleveland lost some games, now they just roflstramped everyone, with two 3-1 turning into 3-4.

Kevin Durant is really a big impact to the Golden State Warriors. Without him this season against the Cavaliers, I think it will be pretty much even. But since he joined Golden State Warriors is in a different level. Evident of the Game 1 result. It was a big win for them and putting a lot of pressure on Lebron James on the offensive and defensive aspect.

Well its been so long since the golden state warriors tasted the championship. But still you can see that warriors didn't gave the championship that easily but still their power isn't enough to annihilate the cavaliers, Draymond and Iguodala's defense, Curry and Thompson's 3 wasn't enough. But now it'll be different. LeBron's rival is now playing for the GSW, Kevin Durant. They've defeated cavaliers in the game 1 this finals. Let us see next time who'll prevail.

The game 1 ended and it went to Golden State Warriors and I'm guessing that the game 2 will go to Cleveland Cavaliers, it's like a alternative winning for each game. well i have different points of view regarding to this incoming game 2, as we knew how both teams will wanted to take advantage of the home court crowd so gsw will still push this hare to take the early lead with this series, but the ball is round and we can't say what will happen next its up to us to choose our favorites.

It's a big factor that can add to the confidence of the players but still there's no assurance for them to win if they are thinking it's a sure win. As others have said, Lebron James and company should muster everything they can to overcome the Golden State Warriors in Game 2. This is not the same Golden State team they faced last year. Kevin Durant impact was very felt in Game 1. And even though they can check Kevin Durant in Game 2, their is still Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to deal with. So its gonna be a uphill battle from Cleveland come Game 2. But I think Game 2 will go again for Golden State Warriors. They have too many great and good players and I'm only seeing James and Kyrie to carry the load for the team again. So for me, Golden State will win again in Game 2 of the series.

Yeah me too, I feel the game 2 was favored in GSW, the home court advantages. It seems that it   different to game 1, the offense and the defense. The strategies is same, GSW don’t want to lose same as cavaliers but the losing last year is the lesson why they don’t want to happened again by GSW.

I have 2 friends who challenged each other for a bet. Not on who will win later today but who will score more : Kevin Durant or Lebron James? They are both my friend so I chose not to take side.

I'm thinking it will be like last year and we'll get a game 7. Even though the Warriors dominated the Cavs in game 1 and can't see it happening in game 2 as the Cavs would want to get the win and squaring it all up heading into game 3 on the Cavs home court. Something is telling me that the Cavs win it again which I think will be Lebron's last NBA championship ring.

Ive been watching now the live coverage of Game 2 and now on its 3rd quarter warriors does really take the lead always because of durant but still warriors can able to cope up because of lebron/love and irving they do make the fight close enough without leading behind on their score which mean we cant assure what would be the result on this game 2,it does give me the chills.

Well for those who love gsw i guess if they continue playing this way and not allow the trio of cavs to dominate last stretch will be more interesting to watch let see how cavs try to cope up and how durant and curry will handle the final quarter 14 points lead still not a comfort zone.

Results have already known and its quiet expected when the 4th quarter period is on seeing on the lead cavs striving hard to less the gap but gsw still continue to point so that cavs wont able to tie up or even close the lead that was really a good fight and i guess on 3rd game there would be a comeback.

It's starting to look like the Warriors can sweep the Cavs, but things might change once the Cavs play in their home court. I am putting my bet that this series goes on at least 6 games because Lebron just won't allow his team to be swept. Although it has been a somewhat boring post season for the NBA with a lot of the games decided by more than 10 points, I am still hoping that we would see more close games in the last few standoffs between the Warriors and the Cavs.

Probably, they can win the series and be the new NBA champion. Lebron can't carry the whole team all alone. At the level the Cavs played tonight. Golden State can sweep the whole series. They can't sustain the greatness of Curry and Durant in terms of scoring. But its not a good  finals if GS will sweep the series. I think they will give the third match. So the Cavs will regain their confidence.... Or not.

Yes. Its probably the year of the Golden State Warriors and take revenge from last years 3-1 lead. Although Lebron James has a terrific game, he still needed support from his other team members. He can't do it alone. Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are too much for him. Both of them have combined 60 points, almost have of the teams score. They are moving to Cavaliers homecourt now, and I think it will be a different ball game. I hope Cavaliers win Game 3 so that it will be a terrific series at least for the fans like us.

Warriors fans are thinking this will be a sweep but I don't take it seriously because they are just so overwhelm with the way the warriors played in the past two games, the cavaliers is not heating yet, if they will take game 3 I am sure there will be a chance of prediction and I am looking forward for a very dominant performance of the cavaliers. Irving needs to step up. And this is the perfect playground for him, Game 3 homecourt advantage. I still think that no one from Golden State can matched with Irving, 1:1 or even driving in the basket. I'm sure Cavaliers fans are just waiting for him to really ignite his team together with Lebron. Once again the Cavs let them self down in the 3rd quarter just like in game 1 but now they return home down 2-0 in the series and I am expecting the Cavs to get the win in game 3. It's all about the money now and ratings so they need the Cavs to win and make the series go longer. I'm still expecting a game 7 in this series just like last year.

They give up on defense. That's why GS outscored them. That's worst defense I've seen on Cleveland. If they play good defense. I think they could win that match. But again, weak defense. They let KD and Curry get their rhythm. That's why they are hot on shooting. Just a little space. You pay for it. They are very dangerous if you let them wide open. If they put more pressure on these two players. They will force other player to score for them. But that's not what's happen.

For sure, they would probably make a gameplay for their mistakes and come back at it. It's a matter of fact that the feeling would make them better by learning and acknowledge them on what they would do in the next game.  They could really do something about their defense and how they come short against GSW.

That's true, it's hard for the cavaliers that's why they need to work harder in game 3, they need to change the momentum of the game otherwise they will have to go fishing early. Literally the series is not over yet, if the celtics were able to turn around the game against the bulls so it could also be possible for the cavaliers, injuries are possible and I am not hoping such thing will happen, it is just the possibilities.

Well here we are game 3 tonight in the NBA finals and we'll see if the Cavs have learned anything from their last 2 games where they have dropped off in the 2nd half. Well that's another case and I can say Kevin Durant is a big plus to the Dub nation. They are far from their past roster and they are advancing with great plays. Game #4 is Cavs. I read an article about GSW management saying that GSW will lose around 22 Million USD if they will sweep the championship, meaning they will win the 4th game in Cavs territory. GSW needs to bring the game back to their home town to earn. Its a ball game yes, but at the end of the day, it's still business.

I'm also am disappointed that the Cavs lost this game as they looked good at the end of the 3rd quarter as they didn't fade like they did in games 1 and 2 but this time they faded out in the 4th quarter just when it looked like they had the upper hand. I can't see the Warriors sweeping the Cavs as the NBA would lose a fair bit of money so they need the Cavs to at least win one game and send it back to the Warriors home court for them to try and get the job done which of course will bring in a truck load of money and boost ratings.

Kevin Love played well on the defensive end as he got six steals, and had a lot of offensive rebounds too. That sort of made up for his lack of contribution on scoring. As the defending champs, I don't think the Cavs would allow themselves to be swept, especially that Game 4 is still going to be played in their home court. But from the looks of it, the Warriors have the title in the bag already and a big part of the reason for that is how Kevin Durant has played the first three games of the series, proving to be the big difference especially when it matters the most.

I'm a bit surprised that GSW managed to win 3 games in a row. I thought cavs would win the 3rd game, but the performance on the last quarter is pretty dissapointing. I root for GSW but cavs need to win the fourth game to make this more exciting final.

There's no sudden surprise, I knew it that Golden State Warriors can catch up to 3 consecutive wins against Cleveland Cavaliers. And there's only 1 win left and they will be the champion for this season. They are known for having a lot of consecutive wins and that is making their team stronger for trusting each players.

I'm currently watching the replay right now. Its really a disappointing lost for the Cleveland Cavaliers. They have the lead going on the 4th quarter and still playing its best so far in this series. The fate of the Cavs Big Three might depend on how they play Game 4. Are they going to let go or trade Kevin Love this offseason or is Lebron still interested in being a Cavalier? These questions, albeit prematurely would have to be faced ultimately, because as the rate things are going, the Warriors look to be the team to dominate for the next few years. They are all young, talented, and play very well as a team, and could possibly start a dynasty unless other teams do something about it.

The odds of Cleveland winning on major sports betting sites for game four has significantly increased as it is indeed win or go home. I don't think that Cleveland has any chance of winning the series but I do think that if they make the necessary adjustments they are able to slow down the pace of the game a bit and make the Warriors have to set up on offense and actually get into deep in the shot clock instead of easy transition buckets which is what warriors love to do.

Glad I didn't take Golden State Warriors to win this game. Went with Over 59 points in the first quarter and it paid handsomely. All their previous games have been a high scoring first quarter, was an easy thing to bet on this game too.

So Cleveland takes this one with ease. I think that it's got a lot to do with how they started really really strong and their role players finally stepped up. However James still came out with a dominating performance and so did Kyrie.

Richard Jefferson is an underrated defender on Durant as well in my opinion. Anyone that can even defend him and make sure that he does not get to the basket and finish every time is a decent defender. As a bench player he allowed James a lot of off time on defense so that he didn't have to do the dirty work all the time.

Anyways, finally there is some excitment in this series. I think that game 5 is going to be awesome to watch. It's in Oracle arena so there is home court advantage for the Warriors. But will Cleveland come through? Who knows.

What are the odds of it happening 2 times in a row? GSW are a much improved team this time around with Kevin Durant in the line up. Le Bron has been great throughout the playoffs and am sure that he'll try his hardest to stretch the series to a few more games but, I dont think that will happen. With Steph and KD firing in all cylinders, they will win either the 5th or in 6 games. I dont think we'll see a game 7 this time around. It sucks that NBA have such powerhouses these days and the teams are not even close to being competitive against the big teams.

I think that it's definitely going to come down to a game 6 at least. All the warriors bandwagons said that a sweep was inevitable. But obviously warriors got thrashed in that game 4, with 49 points in the first quarter which is amazing.

I think GSW can play game 5,6,7 with the same quality and CLE can't even if they win 5, they will lose 6 or 7.. GSW + Durant is a lethal mixture for other teams.

I have said in my recent post right even if the odds are against them I would still bet on GSW just to support them, even if they have lost I would still be a fan, In favor of Golden State Warriors and change the spread to the smallest for example right now I can choose -7.5 1.786(-127) and I would just bet on the straight bet in favor for GSW and all bet that I have made so far are always 0.01 only just to be safe, and would win 0.00786 btc I know it is a small amount but just like what I have said it is just to show support for GSW no matter if they win or not it doesn't really matter.

Well I think game 5 is different story on this series since GSW is playing on their home and provably that can make them boost enough to finish this thing off, But to get he rings up to their fingers well I think they need to defend closely those two cavs superstars so that they cannot take some action interms on getting some points in paint.

looking at the lineup, even with durant in warrior's uniform, the cavs are still pretty well stacked man for man. aside from the big three, they have deron, korver, smith and thompson. it's just being used as a lame excuse that the warriors are more of a super team than the cavs. simple reason is that except from bron, the cavs are being outplayed soundly. this series would most likely end at 5 games.

That's how awesome sports betting could be, it's really unpredictable and you wouldn't know what to really pick because you will analyze it. Sportsbooks also analyze that's why they arrive to that conclusion on that odd, they just don't make those things up and I hope they would really have the right things so they would probably earn. I disagree as well and agree to your response. Golden State Warriors are eyeing for a sweep because it was more historical than winning a 4-1 lead. Klay Thompson also stated in the post game interview last Game 3 that he wants to sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavaliers just get the momentum on the early phase of the game. If we are a fan of one team, you can't really see the whole picture of the game that's why fans are biased towards each other.

Warriors must do anything to sealed this game at Game 5. If Cavaliers will go back to Ohio, chances for Durant's ring will not happen this year even the Game 7 will be played at the Bay.

I think they will do anything in their power to sealed Game 5 and win the championship. They don't want the Cavaliers to gain the momentum in they won game 5 because they are going back to their homecourt. I still believed  that this is Durant's year to win the ring, and Golden State will be the champions for this year. Steph Curry will not let this game slip away, he has poor performance last game and I think he will better this time. Klay Thompson will also play good and will support both Curry and Durant in scoring. I think this will be a blow out games for the Golden State Warriors.

Like I said in the NBA discussion thread, Game 5 will be the turning point to all, for Golden State Warriors is to win and for Cleveland Cavaliers to gained momentum til Game 7. Game 7 if ever will bring more pressured to the Warriors thinking Durant must force a ring and to dodge critics about blew a 0-3 lead. While Warriors will do all, expect also some good performance from the Cavaliers. Im really expecting this will be a closed match.

Everyone still remembers what happened last year where the warriors blew that 3-1 series lead for the historical cavs feat. I agree that game 5 will be very crucial for the warriors as a loss would bring the series back to Cleveland and a game 7 would likely be a repeat of what happened last year. I read an article today that convincingly states that whenever Lebron James was on the pitch playing, the Cavaliers were getting more points than the Golden State Warriors but when he is off the pitch, they start losing, If his teammates should stand up they will win todays game and extend the game.

That's just a hearsay and rumor. The Cavs are playing as a whole team and it's not just all about Lebron, it's just also an opinion base on their observation. The same thing with Golden State Warriors, they are playing as a whole team and they are all dependent to each other. That's the wrong point of view of the fans today, Cavs = LBJ, GSW = Curry.

Even though I think the warriors close it out tonight I'm going to be betting on the Cavs to cover the +9.0 point spread @1.87 I'm betting on this just in case the Cavs repeat what they did last year and win on the road in Oakland and force a game 6. I'm really looking forward to this game as it's crucial for both teams.

This game is both important for cavaliers and warriors and I don't think they will not give their best effort, Lebron James needs to step up in this game and make his teammates involve for them to win. It is expected that the warriors will came out hot since they are at their home court but the cavaliers need to match the intensity the warriors will bring, they made a comeback last year and it should be their inspiration to win this game.

As a cavs fan they are more disappointed than us but we can't blame them on what happened on game 3 we must move forward and believe that they will gonna come back and in every game they will give their all that's as their fan we must not doubt  and just support them in remaining game

Nope, gsw played poorly even giving up 20+ turnovers and still managed to win 3 games out of 4. That is how over powered they are. They can afford to give some balls, miss some three points and still win the game.

Gsw will take care of this game and put an end in this series its really a big challenge now for them to finish though lebron and the rest of the cavs will still try to hang  and extend this maybe a good thinking here gor gsw is now or never after that lose last year maybe they already learned a lesson there.

You must be a warriors fan, honestly I like this game to extend a bit, I am watching now and I am having fun with the way both teams are playing.
If the warriors will win this game, they deserve it but if they will let it slip, I am afraid it will go to game 7. So much tension in Oracle now, fans are shouting but the cavaliers are still playing well, it will be a good experience whatever the outcome.

at this time i bet on cavs for once more win or lose i will still cavs fan im not a bandwagon but i believe on cavs strength i put my half btc on bet on my boss. because he was a gsw fan so we made a deal and that's where my salary will gonna be put on if i won my salary this coming end of the month will be doubled but if cavs lose i will lose my salary .

I am so glad went with GSW-7.5 on this game. Would have hated it if Cavs got in couple of more baskets. Had big money riding on this and glad we  made it alive :)

I would have gone with GSW but would never had the balls to actually do any sort of spread betting, because in the end Cavs are a pretty good team. I was watching the game live and almost thought that cavs were making a comeback in the 3rd and 4th quarter as well, when the gap between the scores slowly but surely closed out.

Not really an entertaining series per se but good to see how strong a superteam is.

Congratulations for the GSW for winning on the finals as well as Kevin durant on winning the finals MVP title. His mama is the real MVP tho. I thought Cavs will be bounce back again but they choke on the 3rd quarter. Lebron is too exhausted on final 2 quarter which is the main reason why they lose.  ;D

Everything was on his shoulders and he did his best to keep his team in the game, I think the Cavaliers should regroup and then add more stars to their lineup and maybe thats going to help them win the trophy next season. They were outmatched this year no doubt about it.
