Essentially BCH is a mechanism which ensures the long term scalability of Bitcoin. If BTC fails to scale, the community will switch over to a Bitcoin that does scale; BCH.

Other prospective alt-coins which tackled BTC scalability will become ever more irrelevant. Value will flow from these Alts into BCH.

Either BTC scales or BCH scales. Regardless, Bitcoin will scale.

BCH coming into existence is the best thing that ever happened for Bitcoin.

BCH is a piece of shit coin who brought nothing but money for fuckers who re behind it. It essentially undermines immutability of BTC and the entire crypto. What happens next time when Roger Ver and the gang need more money? Let s introduce Bitcoindash. Then Bitcoinfash. Then Bitcoinrush. Where does this all end?

Essentially, if I can get free coins every few months, why would I invest into crypto at all after I gain my initial stash?

At the time of publication Bitcoin Cash in some stock exchanges (in particular, Kraken) rose by more than 800$, and on Bittrex, Bter and Yobit even exceeded 1100$, that is 0.4 BTC. More "reasonable" grounds, in particular Bitfinex and ViaBTC, kept the price of around 650$, that is 0.25 BTC. Probably, this jump was not expected and the developers of Bitcoin Cash. BCC's market capitalization exceeded 12 billion $, raising this newborn cryptocurrency third after Bitcoin and Etherum, above such veterans as Ripple, Litecoin and Dash.

However, this behavior of traders and the price range says more about the bubble than on a real assessment of the value of Bitcoin Cash. Probably, after some time the bubble begins to deflate. So, it is too aerly to say that we won.

I agree, Bitcoin Cash is a great thing, so don't sell it, keep it as insurance.

If you buy a nice car you buy insurance for peace of mind. If you don't make a claim you're good , you didn't have an accident, and if you do make a claim, it means you had an accident, but it doesn't cost you as you have insurance.

BCH is bitcoin insurance for segwit fail, so don't sell it, just hodl.

I would rather agree with this. Bitcoin was not in big danger on 08/01. Segwit is a soft fork, so it was meant not to result in a split of bitcoin. Some people thought it might be a great idea to create bitcoin cash in advance, so that in hard fork case we already have a solution. Segwit was successfully implemented, so no bch should have appeared. But why not to make a hard fork anyway as we see many people wanting to buy our backup plan currency? And so they did it. And got lots of money. However, as people will see that bitcoin is doing just fine and as it will start growing in price, people will dump this version of bitcoin. So, lots will lose their money again. Nothing good here.

This means that in the future there will be no own wallets.

I surely appreciate the free money, and will also appreciate the free money from Bitcoin2X or whatever, when they fork in a few months, but creating more money out of thin air can hardly be called "the best thing that ever happened to Bitcoin", it's just another altcoin and there's no point to it, Litecoin same code as Bitcoin and bigger blocks, plus without spam attacks blocks aren't even full...

imagine that if gold could be split out of thin air anytime....do you want it?

The US government has already passed legislation. You now owe capitial gains tax on any profit from cypto. This includes cypto earned from mining, increase in value from cypto you are holding, profit  from trading and oh ya that shitty bitcoincash you now have. You owe taxes on 100% of that.
If you attempt to leave or enter the country and do not declare cypto holding over 10,000 usd in value, you can have your house,car,stocks or other assets seized. As well as a lengthy prison sentence.

Are you all blind folks? BCH price (and marketcap) is not real at all. Only those who kept their BTC on exchange that support BCH have tradable BCH, so not too many. And on the other side, all other that have BCC in their hand and are looking to dump can't, because mining is really slow (difficulty readjusting) so blocks transaction will take some time to confirm (a couple of days).

Look it back in the next couple week, and it will fall like a rock. Under top 25.

Most people don't care about scaling and bitcoin cash is not bitcoin and cannot be bitcoin if bitcoin does not scale I will not switch over bcash like many people.

So that's it. They created bcc for insurance of bitcoin. That's very clever. But what if bcc fails ? what if bcc don't get enough support to operate normally. Based on the internet, the bcc has very little hash rate, at that rate, bcc will just pass and gone shortly.

couldn't agree more. this is very damaging for bitcoin and crypto in general, but short-sighted greed rules the day

BCH is just another altcoin like ETH and ETC, whales will pump Bch price over and over untill make good money from it, then they will trash it like any other altcoins.

An interesting opinion, but I think the BCC is not air anytime, many big exchanges have supported this coin and the price is also high, which means its value has been accepted by many investors.

If bitcoin cash split chain can not survive, bitcoin cash network will be considered failed, if this happens I think all exchangers will close the trade BCH.

even if we ignore all the problems that increasing the block size that ridiculously big there is still a pretty big issue here and that is the people who created this!

we already know Craig Wright's long term actions that started months ago to first introduce himself as Satoshi (a big lie) and then to creep in bitcoin and try to take some power with this fork. a big scam and shady actions.
then there are a couple of more characters such as Hearn and Wu,... that have been shady all along.

i personally wouldn't trust a project that comes out of these people. i prefer an altcoin over it.

why ? everyone think that way already gained a lot of cash out of BCC ? markets unknown right now figures not clear .

Cant still be sure if its been accepted majorly on people who are on bitcoin world. We don't know if whales are the ones who do make up this hype but well no one really knows why BCH did gained too much attention on bitcoin ecosystem or rather cryptoworld. Even though other people do said that BCH is the best thing do happen to bitcoin but still I will stick up on the original one no matter what.
