Bitcoin now is over 3000 usd.  How much bitcoin would you say you need now to be a millionaire in the future?  I heard there is an expert that said bitcoin will hit 100k but this would take a very long time.  This is the guy that predicted bitcoin would hit 2k etc when very few ppl thought about this.


If bitcoin hits 100k a coin, you would need 10 bitcoin.  And of course, most people do not have 10 bitcoin or anywhere close to that amount unless they got bitcoin when it was very cheap... or of course they have a lot of money to invest.


To those of you with say 5 bitcoin, do you think its possible?  What about those with say 10 bitcoin?  I assume those people who got bitcoin earlier and got like 100 bitcoin probably feel very good about being a millionaire?  I don't think it would be possible to be a millionaire now with bitcoin if you are buying bitcoin now unless you have alot of money. 

Being a millionaire is a relative statement,depending the country you decide, except you mean being a millonaire in USD, As for me I need about 2 BTC to become a millonaire,I have commence the  journey, hope to be there soon, ready to invest,work and earn BTC to become a multi millonaire.

Maybe 100btc is enough to live a happy life here in my country,with that amount of money i can go whatever i want,eat whatever i like buy everything that will make my family cause they are the reason why im doing it. I dont have any plan for myself its them why im working so very hard.

I believe in the 21 BTC statistic. If you own 21 BTC, you are part of a group of less than 1 million people on the entire planet. This is a very descriptive stat. I mean if Bitcoin is to become a digital gold of sorts, we are looking at $100,000 within 10 years realistically.

I wouldn't aim for any less than 21 BTC, even if 10 would be enough, you want more than that, 21 is a good psychological goal to stay motivated, don't set small goals, aim for more to work harder.

If Bitcoin can survive its governance problems, forkmania, get some decent exchanges and something ETF esque I think $20,000 is achievable by the early 2020s. So 50 gets my vote. That's not remotely achievable for most here now.

Of course if you and Bitcoin stick around long enough you'll end up being a millionaire simply thanks to inflation with one or less.

I think quite a few people would have 10+ bitcoin, especially those who have been in Bitcoin for a few years now. It is not impossible to get 10 BTC, if one accumulates bitcoins over a period of time. I think people with 50+ btc have a good chance of becoming crypto-millionaires.

For me 1 btc is enough, but to get 1 btc seems very difficult for me, because if without the initial capital it will not run, mining and trading it need capital. If you expect the tap it is a waste of time. Investment also needs capital, if I have the capital I want to do is invest, mining and trading so I can reach 1 btc.

I think 5 or 10 bitcoin is pretty much but I think it's still less to be a millionaire maybe you should have 30 bitcoin or more. I think a millionaire is a person who not only has a lot of money but makes a lot of money.

Here it seems that you arr not in contact with those types of the person who are millionaires already in this field because you conversation is limited to have 5 to 10 bitcoin .

Such an easy quetion! Just compute the value of Bitcoin and divide it to a million to get how much of it you need to be a millionaire. Since the value of Bitcoin is fluctuating, you need to update it everytime the value changes for you to get the exact amount you need.

It's hard to say how high the price of bitcoin could get. I could see the price go to $25,000 in 10 years or so. It also depends on how long of an investment you are making because the longer you hold, the higher the price. The main thing is go ahead and buy before the price goes up that high.

Many people are already crazy to join the 21 BTC club.I too have an ambition o joining that cub,I think holding 21 BTC is enough to enjoy a happy retired life.My friend who introduced me bitcoin already has 20 BTC,just one more bitcoin for him to join that club.

Why do you think that people wouldn't have 10 bitcoins? Ofcourse most of the users do nos own such amount but if you are realy belive in future of BTC you can accumulate it just by buying bitcoins for a part of your savings. For some years getting 10 bc is real.

I think all factors which are telling thst price of the bitcoin will be 10k$/btc at the end of the year 2020 are falls because currently the increasing price is directly showing what will happen in the last of this year  , may be the target will be achieved by the bitcoin in the mind of the next year .
So in my opinion we want to be millionaires in the next year then we should have 10 btc in the current time because 10k$ can't make rich but surely if we will have 10btc instead of 1 btc then we will have 100K$/BTC which is sufficient for those who want to say as rich person in this current time .

This entirely depends on the growth happening in the price of bitcoin. When the price of bitcoin was around $350 it's speculated that more bitcoins were required to be a millionaire. Now it has grown 10times high in value, so this keeps on changing with regards to time and growth happening. At least a 100 coin seems to be a must to be a millionaire even in any situation as the price increase and decrease can happen anytime.

I don't know exactly amount of bitcoin that i need to become a millionaire. I believe that until i have so many income and it was continuously added, i think it was very near to me to become a millionaire someday. And besides, if bitcoin was keep pricing up,  i will earn that and i will exchange if that will be enough for me.

if bitcoin will reach 5000$ before the end of the year , i will need to have at least 4 bitcoins to become a millionaire but that would not be the ideal life that i wanted. Maybe 50 bitcoin is good enough for me to live a nice life and fulfill the dreams that i wanted.

become millionaire is relative where someone live. one who live in usa maybe need 1.000.000 usd in bitcoin to become a millionaire, but in my country i am becoming millionaire with only 1 btc and if 1 btc change to my fiat i will get tens million. so here i am a millionaire because value of bitcoin towards my fiat is very high.

It will depend on what country are you residing because for some they just need 5 bitcoin to become one and others would need 10 - 15 bitcoin. Lucky for those early adopters of bitcoin since they got it cheap and hold maybe 100 coins or above but maybe they already sold it a few years ago when the price go up and is also one of us now trying to accumulate coins to be one of those millionaires. With hard work, we can reach the goal of becoming one in the near future if the value of bitcoin continue to go up.

100 BTC is indeed enough, especially if its price will go more higher than what we are expecting, I think if we are storing a large amount of bitcoin in our wallets, then I could say that we could have billions of dollars and we are going to be rich people without having a sweat. Easy money on bitcoin is the thing that we should know by now, because we can't earn money in gambling like the money what we could earn in this Forum.

Probably, the keyword to remember here is to wait. Patience is a virtue as they say. If we'll wait for the right time, we'll know how much bitcoin we'll need and live like a millionaire. For me 20 bitcoin I think is enough for me to become a bitcoin millionaire, I save the half and save the other half in the bank and I think that this is a good idea because I have invested bitcoin for long term. Well, a million USD is probably around a couple of hundred Bitcoin, which looking back at old prices from 2000-2010, really makes me think. I wonder what happened to the people who just bought 1000 Bitcoin when it was a couple of cents as a prank or when they were drunk and now they are pretty much millionaires. Bitcoin really swaps the positions of our society and can change someone who is in the lower portion of society into the higher parts of society.

Patience people, I think that bitcoin will rise to 5K soon and we will all be millionaires. Wonder what signature campaigns will be like, with prices at like 5K, I would be getting almost 200 USD a week from just messing around here.

here in the Philippines. To become a millionaire I will increase approximately 7 BTC at an estimated price of $ 3,000. I do not think 100 btc in my country, you will become millionaire. That money is enough for you to buy a big house or a few cars. I think becoming a millionaire needs more btc than 100. Possibly owning that much btc then you will be rich but not suitable to call millionaire

To become a millionaire is everyone wishing for to live a enjoyable life. But for me 20btc would be enough to start a new life. In case I have this on hand I would startup a business that I could managed on my own. Even having 20btc here in my country could help me a lot to sustain my needs and family.

If you look at bitcoin prices at the moment. You do not need a lot of bitcoin to get rich. It takes just a few to become a millionaire. Bitcoin is now very expensive. And for those who have bitcoin will become a millionaire. Without working if you save bitcoin you get a lot of money. Just by bitcoin only.

     Having big amount of money or BTC is already enough for you to settle for your own good or settle for some retirement. 100BTC will be enough already, just learn how to save it and manage your own money, make some investments and do some business so your money is always recycling even if you spend it all the way. Just don't spend it to some nonsense things that are not useful for you.

for us in our country, 6BTC bitcoin will make us millionaire here, I am one of the unlucky ones who just know what bitcoin is, if I know in my previously years about bitcoin I will surely invest good amount on it, but for now I will just keep dreaming on that price of bitcoin will go up high :)

100 BTC is already $340,900, who the hell owns that in BTC? A extreme minority. If 10 BTC is rare, 100 BTC is ultra rare. With 100 BTC you'll be a millionaire within 10 years for sure. We'll hit $10,000 once lightning network is deployed and sidechains start appearing, the growth in price will be exponential, so $10,000, then $100,000 faster than we can imagine.

A unique question, you could be a millionaire if you have a Gold Mining Company like freeport. But now everyone is mining Bitcoin in every house, it seems strange. I'm not sure everyone likes this job, and they are looking for another, more challenging job to become a millionaire.

About being millionaire, I dont agree with you. There are many ways to earn bitcoin nowadays, all you have to do is to be patient and be resourceful, eventually you can earn million bit by bit

Considering for me Bitcoin price will be 50 000 dollar by 2022. So 1 000 000 / 50 000 = 20. By 2022, according to me, you will need 20 bitcoins.

My big hope for next year is the inclusion of lightning network, and probably 2019 will be the sidechain's year. Im really hoping that we can have functional, fast fully decentralized exchanges backed by lightning network tech. So far I have seen certain solutions to decentralize trades but they are really slow, they aren't proper exchanges with their own broker, fast order book and a graph, they are more like marketplaces, similar to localbitcoins or bitcoin.de. We need a Poloniex replacement where people can freely exchange crypto to crypto in a decentralized way. I dont really care about fiat trading.

Doubtlessly, bitcoin has given many people a living. Those who have invested in this digital currency awarded with enormous profits and as a matter of fact there living standards have also changed dramatically. As far as the change in its value is considered, it is crystal clear that Bitcoin prices are going to boost up and it surely will touch $4,000 within few weeks.

However when it is converted into local currency of a country everyone receives different amount. In this way you can be millionaire in one part of the country but may not be the same everywhere. Still you will be richer than many others.

It depends on your location. For example 1 BTC = 22134996 INR, so if you live in India you need just 0.04 BTC to be a millionaire  ;D ;D
Looking at it from a different perspective, you need just 1 BTC to eventually become a millionaire in almost every part of the world. I believe USD will continue inflating, shile BTC is deflating, so at some point 1BTC may be worth 1 million USD, although it won't be the same USD we are using today. If it happens you'll need $100 to buy coffee at starfucks ;)

At the moment you just only need 277 bitcoins to be a USD millionaire, but it depends on where do you live, for example in my country with only just 15 bitcoins you can be a millionaire and have a very very rich living.
By the way, i think holding 100 bitcoins will make everyone millionaire in a few years, it depends on the price, but i really believe in bitcoin for the future

i think in present time i have less than 5 bitcoins and now it may be easy to count to that much bitcoin do i need to become millionaire, i will never count that limit because i think it is not so easy to become a millionaire i think we need to work hard for it and only then it may be possible otherwise it may not be so easy.

It depends on the country where you are living too. For example, you can be a millionaire with maybe 0.1BTC in Zimbabwe. But you will still have a shit life there. In my country, you will need about 280BTC to be considered a millionaire. If a day it happens to you, you will be welcome in my country in hope you invest of course and not just avoid the taxs (you will be in the wrong place anyways)

Well if you want to be a millionaire you will need 300 to 400 bitcoins in terms of dollars but in other currencies like my country 10 bitcoins is enough to be a millionaire. Of course if you are an early adapter in bitcoin and still holding in this day. You could be a billionaire.

10 btc is enough for me to be a millionaire because in my country if you convert that 10 btc it's a 18 million i think.

I'm not a supporter of the theory that a single Bitcoin will be enough to be a millionaire in a decade. Maybe not even ten bitcoins are enough. But 21 bitcoins is probably enough, after all there will be only 21 million Bitcoins in existence.

For me I would be glad if I had an 8btc in my country right now because it's an equivalent of 1.4 million of php currency of my national currency. Of course that will take long Years before I will have that certain amount of bitcoin. If that money will become a reality to me, maybe I will be using that for the study of the kids and it really helped us through expenses for my family specially the debts we had can be settled.

Well I think that for someone to become a millionaire by now, he or she should have 10,000 worth of bitcoins and could be a millionaire at 2025. As of now it is only 2017 and the price of it is very huge, and that is not a joke and it can always pump ahead of time, it is just a matter of time for it to pump again on large amount, because that's how it plays. So people should think about long term investment on bitcoin and in other cryptocurrency. If they knew the concept of long term investment they will surely gain.

Well for me it's really hard to have that big ammount of BTC because I don't even have 1BTC right now or even half of it. My only source of BTC is signature campaign only I am not into trading or any investment. Life is so hard here in my country I'm jobless I don't think I can reach that ammount but I hope so. I'm just getting started in this business so, i need 5 bitcoins to be a millionaire it is pretty hard to achieve this days because bitcoins value is extremely high compared to the past years and the profits I gained is pretty small. I think it would be a quick thing when you can know your bitcoin savings, bitcoin is rising very high and you can just be a billionaire when hoarding a large amount of bitcoin.

1 bitcoin in my country, Philippines, is 190,000 pesos right now, Assuming that its price will just play around 180,000-190,000 the amount of bitcoin i will need in order to be a millionaire in my country is 6 bitcoin.However,  This is only in my country and If ever i will go to other country like US where the value of dollar is 50 pesos to my country, I would just be a middle class man in US so I think i will need a 300 btc for me to be a millionaire in other country as well.

It is unbelievable that Bitcoin will reach 100k coins. It will never happen. At present the 3k coin was too big and I believe it will continue to grow. But 100k coins are too big, just because you own several BTC units, you have become a millionaire.

Before you ask me about USD price I'll answer. Why should I care? I haven't owned a single dollar in my life and even if I had some I wouldn't find a single store accepting it in range of 2000 km :D

Quite interesting that you tried to capture an illusive scenario. However, you didn't specify what amount of fiat one can have to become a millionaire. Is someone having just a million of his local currency considered a millionaire? Two? 10? Come on dude, this isn't easy to tell.

For example, with Bitcoin at $4000, I only need just a Bitcoin to enter the million threshold in my country because that will be around 1.4million. Nevertheless that won't make me a millionaire because it's still money I can spend within a month without realising or remembering what I spent it on.

Looking at the currency exchange in my country with USD and bitcoin prices , with just 10 coins I can be a billionaire, with 10 coins I can invest something in this country and most importantly life feels comfortable with such big coins. Because the cost of living in my country is still far from luxurious . that's my assumption.

If we look at the current Bitcoin price of 4,000 USD we need more than 10 bitcoins to become millionaires, but if the bitcoin price prediction reaches 100k USD, do not close the possibility only with 5 bitcoin we can become a millionaire. Right now, I only have a fraction of a Bitcoin which makes me far from being a millionaire considering that the rates have been very low lately compared to the past month. Although far from being a millionaire, I've always said that in investing In Bitcoin, you have a certain goal to achieve and for mine is to have enough to live sufficiently and comfortably. So I guess in the future, having 10 would be more than enough. I still have a long way to go but I know it will all be worth it.

At the beginning of this thread the price of 100k for one Bitcoin was big. Now after a 20k checkpoint, 100k is very possible in 2018.
From 15k  where is it now to 100k is just x6.666.

Are there optimists here who believe analysts who predict the cost of bitcoin at around 1 million $? Respectively, that would be a millionaire you should have 1 Bitcoin :)

It will take long time, more effort, and hardwork to become a millionaire. You have to be wise when it comes on budgeting of money because you spend also from it. I do not need a lot of money being save. 1 btc is enough to place in wallet because it will grow more in the future as well. I am looking to have a simple life having comfortable home and financial freedom.

As much as possible want to have bitcoin because the price must increase from year to year but for now the price is decreasing.

I think 1BTC for along run it should be kept on your cold storage. Bitcoin will go up eventually just to be sure let the others buy their own btc. I am so happy that the cryptocurrency is getting popular..

It will take aroung 80 bitcoin to be a millionaire but it is really not easy to achieve because it really takes time to earn that huge amount.But I wont give up of earning bitcoin and I will really work hard and I dont care if I will get old in earning bitcoin but I will never stop on earning bitcoin because I believe that bitcoin will give me a better and brighter future.

10 bitcoin for example that you have possible you become rich once bitcoin reach like $100,000 this is possible to happen but the percentage to happen this is very low and possible also ae cant see the price become like that.  I believe the highest price is like that.  As of now the price of the bitcoin is near at 15,000 dollars and I think you need only 80-90 bitcoin to become rich.  For sure most of the people have a lot of bitcoin are now rich because they have patient to hold their bitcoin for few years and I hope also Im become rich in the next few years of doing crypto business.

By the time I read your post, the Bitcoin exchange rate was close to $ 16,000, and just owning 100 BTC was almost $ 2 million, becoming a millionaire. But to earn 100BTC is not easy at all. So my point is that only 10 BTC is really satisfied with myself, becoming the millionaire will be attracted, personal life will be greatly affected.

Every bitcoins now is worth let say $10k in the market so just add it all so all in all you need a 100 bitcoins before you will have a 1 million dollars. But it will take a lot of time and effort before you will get that. But if you are gonna buy bitcoins today it is great because bitcoins are almost half the price down so if you buy bitcoins today and  will hpld that up to December this year it might founled up you money or even tripled because there are rumors thatbare saying that bitcoins will be up to $40k in the market.

Nowadays the availability of million money is just a bit easier. It depends on the person if there are so many sources or people who can help him. Bitcoin is not as good as before. Now the bitcoin is worth half a million pesos no longer bad because half a million the value of a bitcoin. 1 bitcoin is equal to 589,000 pesos. The price has changed dramatically since the year 2017. I think many more explosions have taken bitcoin today in 2018 and I can not wait to find out what that is. :D

Yes being or becoming a millionaire is not that easy, even if we say that we are now here at the world of digital currency the sense that even bitcoin is also hard to earn is another factor to consider.  We really have to work hard and be a dedicated to our work to achieve what we are dreaming for. And I guess if I had already at least 10bitcoin in my account I can already called myself as a millionaire.

For me 50btc is enough to have a better and happier life. Give my family wants and their needs. Give a beautiful future. Build a small business and my employees is my close relatives, so that I will help in a little way.

maybe in a few years you will need only few to be one.

I think I need about 20 BTC, It was enough to make me personally fulfilling life. But to become a millionaire It's not easy to accomplish requires hard work, struggle, even sacrifice.

It really depends on the current value of bitcoin and where you are from, your county simply put or ehere you're residing.  Given the current value of bitcoin in the market, it's around 10,880 USD per bitcoin and so since I am from the Philippines, I would need about 2.5 bitcoins in order to pass the million mark.  The thing though is a million peso in the Philippines is not so much these days.  Yes, I would be able to buy a property but that property would be somehere in the outskirts of the capital and also, I bet that such house and lot would be relatively small compared to how one would envision a millionaire's property. 2.5 bitcoin would buy you a pretty regular sedan here, like a Toyota Vios or Hyundai Accent, a Honda Civic perhaps.  It's not much simply put so my conclusion is that, a decent would be millionaire because of bitcoin in the Philippines should have atleast 10 bitcoins in order to get you settled into the better off properties in the metro, not including those really posh and hig end villages.

Honestly, it depends on what is the value of bitcoin for everytime you want to exchange your bitcoin to money. But commonly the bitcoin's price is around 500k to 1,000,000 so it means you need 1-2 bitcoin to become a millionaire. But when the price falls down and drop around 100k then you need 10 bitcoin for it and its quite difficult to achieve.

In our country philippines, having 2.5 btc will make you a millionaire now. So far I already earned 0.15 btc this month. I think if altcoins will not increase its price then It's impossible for me to become millionaire this year. I am really hoping that altcoins price will increase after february so I can trade it with btc and that time I can finally have more than 1 btc.

Millionaire is an outdated term.   Having 1,, USD really isn't that much any more.   10,, should be the standard goal for "significant" wealth.   

A lot of bitcoin before you became a millionaire,  but it happen if you work hard for your bitcoins.  Go for trading, to earn more profit. 

The percent tp happen bitcoin price become $100,000 is very little or less percentage.  For me the you need only 20bitcoin to become a millionaire because for me the possible price of the bitcoin become 50k dollars this year or the next year 2019 . So be ready and for sure you will earn a lot of profit in the future.  So better to buy and hold your bitcoin now and possible you will become rich person.

Well it is true because as much as bitcoin demand is growing price is automatically increasing so in future bitcoin price will be more than triple of the original bitcoin price so as compare to now it will be easy for you to get rich using bitcoin. Holding bitcoin is not tough now but the problem is to buy it. So right now if you have hundred bitcoin you are already millionaires save it to become billionaires in future.

I think it depends on the country if were you live from and to the value of bitcoin, to be a millionaire is not so easy especially if you don't have enough money to invest and have not enough knowledge about investing. I think 3 bitcoin is enough to be a millionaire now, because in my country this amount is you are already a millionaire, because the value is high. But if you want to earn big invest more or you trade. Nothing is impossible if you are a hardworking person and a patient.

At the moment bitcoin price is 10.000$ so You need 100 Bitcoins to be a millionaire.
Bitcoin is staying in place for long time. So , it is hard now.
